kunikidazai + things you said too quietly

“Kunikida-kun?” Dazai asked, and his heart skipped a beat.

“Huh?” He replied, as if Kunikida wasn’t really sure about what had prompted him to start what was undoubtedly coming, when it couldn’t be further from the truth.

“What did you say?”

Instead of, or it would be more accurate to say before actually offering a response, Kunikida buried his face in the crook of Dazai’s neck even more, waiting for the embarrassment to pass so he could managed to say it in a way that didn’t make him look like a total dumbass. Or, at least, that was how he felt.

“I-- forgot to lock the door. And Aya-chan’s coming from karate practice in approximately half an hour. So…” So they should get moving, basically.

To be fair, the door being locked wouldn’t have done much, since the point was not giving her too much information-- not because the girl wouldn’t know they had been doing way more than just making out, but because she would. And since knowing was one thing, and having tangible proof another, Kunikida would rather save everyone from a very awkward moment.

(Well, mainly himself. Aya may spit out a bunch of ‘eugh’s but she wouldn’t feel awkward, and Dazai might as well not feel embarrassment at all in most circumstances. But still.)

“Alright-y! You’re gonna have to help me get up, though.” Though, before allowing him to move in order to stand up, Dazai first held him tighter for a little longer.
