When Dr Wily suffered his first defeat at the hands of Refrain, he avoided capture and imprisonment thanks to the first of his special-type robots, who defeated the weakened Light 'bot with ease.

As such, it was a surprise when in their second fight, the newly transitioned and upgraded Mega Woman was the one who came out on top.

The crushing defeat left an unexpected lesson for the battle robot: that becoming a girl must have given Refrain incredible power.

So upon being rebuilt to lead the Mega Woman Killers, Encore renamed herself and requested to undergo the same"upgrade."

Whatever makes her happy!
