I can’t handle people who hate John Knightley ok he’s not a dick because he’s a shitty person he’s a dick because he’s autistic and Overwhelmed 😭😭😭

like he sucks at the Westons’ christmas party because he’s been forced to Interact With Too Many Fucking People For Too Long and he just wants to be in his nice quiet home with his wife and kids whom he loves (newsflash every adaptation ever - the Knightleys don’t hate each other!)

as soon as they all get snowed in he returns to being Perfectly Amiable(TM) because he doesn’t have to follow the extremely complex social scripts that the gentry use! He’s happy cause he’s just chilling with his fam again!
