Do you ever hallucinate smells? 👀
I will randomly smell burning or electric scents, no one else smells it, I search the whole house, and find nothing

how I think steve figured out The Hair:
Just did what his mom would do when he was like 10
~
Found his mom's hairspray and magazines, did some thievery of both
~
Okay we're doing better not as shwoopy
~
Literally too baby girl for his own good, ran his fingers through it more and grew it out some
~
Possibly got it trimmed, still doing a routine but not as much as he used to, his hair is definitely softer than pre s3 from not using as much product but he def keeps a bunch on hand for bad hair days (his mom still doesn't know where the farrah fawcett spray went, she doesn't care either because she simply has not been home). Definitely keeps it this way because he knows if his parents were home then they'd make it go back to s1 Lego man hair

The first time Vox set something on fire, whoever was with him at the time made the mistake of throwing water on the fire, thinking it would help. For the next six months, that room always smelled like burnt spider/snake/insect. Ever since then, every area of the hotel comes equipped with a Class C fire extinguisher.

These are the earthquake drills that we ran
Under the freeway overpasses
The tears behind your dark sunglasses
The fears inside your heart's deepest gashes
Walk beside me
Not behind me
Feel my unconditional love

i smell like smoke from electrical fires — a year-end, happy-birthday-to-me mix.
I used to always make a mix tape or mix CD or playlist for the end of the year/my birthday. The mixes were always a combination of songs I listened to a lot that year, songs that summed up my year in some way, and then a few that I just felt like hearing at the time I was making the mix. I started doing it at around age 12, and continued the tradition until I was about 35. But that was the year 8tracks died for a while, and at the time I didn't have a way to make tapes, and also that was the year I started using Spotify, so I kinda just depended on Spotify wrapped to sum up my music-listening habits for the year. Well, since I no longer use Spotify, and since I do have a way to make tapes, I decided to get back into the habit.
As per usual, I made a YouTube version as well, in case anyone else wants to give it a listen. If you listen to we'll burn it & we'll build it again (the mix I made in July) followed by this one, you'll get a pretty clear picture of what I was listening to a lot this year/what my year was like.

Petrichor.
The air is warm and electric.
It has that buzz to it,
Of insects and a storm on the horizon
The sky isn't black yet,
But the hot earth is kicking up clouds of dust that darken the sky
The breeze is cooling everything down now
It makes my skin prickle
A storm is coming, and soon
The clouds threaten rain,
But not yet.
The dry ground will have to wait.
Thunder rolls in, making me flinch at it's fist crack
Barreling across the sky
It's heavy when it falls, the rain
Big fat droplets hitting the soil
Sending up little puffs of dust before the ground is soaked
Little rivers form, and then join, Creating ponds, then lakes, then oceans
The buzzing has stopped now
Replaced by the deafening roar of rain
Cascading from the sky
Water mixing with sand, dirt, dust
Making mud for me to sink my toes into
The smell is homely, warm
It makes me feel hopeful
Like when the soil is at its most parched, its most desperate
All it needs is a little rain
.
For my magnificent mutual @theugliestcrown thank for your love and support, it keeps me going.
