OzQrow Secret Santa
This is my gift to you Morgan 😊 @bowl-of-shortness
Have a wonderful winter friend 😊
Prompt: Family, meeting the parents.
... I think I hit the prompt idk... I'm sorry 😅.
.
.
It was fine.
It was all going to be fine.
.... Except it wasn't going to be fine.
And nothing was ever going to be fine again.
A hand took his and Oz was suddenly reminded that breathing was a thing.
"Hey, Oz if your really not up up to it I can just call and cancel." Said Qrow, the owner of the hand. Casting a worried look at Oz.
Oz cursed himself internally for allowing his anxiety to show in his face and worry Qrow.
Qrow who he knew was looking forward to this gathering for a week.
Who had spun him around and kissed him when Oz had agreed to join him.
Oz let his fingers brush Qrow's bracelets, bangles he called them. The cool metal helping to ground him to the here and now.
"No, I'll go"
Qrow looked at him, crimson eyes warm and searching. Before pressing a soft kiss on his forehead, a greatfulness he could never deliver in words.
"Alright, we better get changed than. Rides coming in an hour."
Oz nodded, wordlessly heading to his room where his outfit was laid out for him.
It was nothing short of beautiful.
Oz tentatively put it on, it was suprisingly comfortable despite its regal apperance. Gently taking the bangles Qrow provided him and letting them fall onto his wrists.
It was grounding, and the jingling they made as he caught himself in the mirror. he smiled.
.
It was a far cry from the itchy monkey suits he had been shoved into as a child.
Perhaps... Perhaps he'd be okay.
Seeing Qrow dressed in his clothes made Oz do a double take.
His partner was beautiful, but right now he was radiant.
.
Qrow looked Oz up and down and whistled. Oz chuckled, letting him take his hand "you don't look too shabby yourself." Qrow smiled, a blush growing on his cheeks as he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.
"Yeah? I can clean up good. I'm just.. You look... Wow."
As smooth as ever.
___________________________
Oz wasn't sure what to expect when the ship dropped them off in what seemed like the middle of the woods.
Qrow smiled his easy going smile and took Oz's hand, he didn't seemed suprised at all so Oz went with it.
"You sure? We can go back if you want?"
Oz smiled and kissed Qrows cheek, trust him to be worried.
"I'm okay"
He was terrified but he would do anything for Qrow.
Qrow nodded a little, kissing his forehead before taking him to a clearing where a bunch of tents were.
Oz knew without needing to be told who were Qrow's parents were.
Qormac Branwen was a very tall man, he towered over them both and yet when his eyes landed on Qrow he smiled with a softness in his eyes.
"Qrow"
Qrow lit up like a Christmas tree and bounced over to his dad who picked him up into a loving embrace.
"Dad!"
"Hey kiddo, it's good to see you again." Qormac said warmly "you doing alright? Been taking care of yourself?"
Qrow rolled his eyes but his smile never wavered "Yeah dad I have."
The shorter woman beside them, Merle Branwen cleared her throat looking at Qrow expectantly.
Oz at first thought she might be mad but there was a fondness in her eyes as she looked at her son and husband.
And Qrow easily wiggled out of his hands hug to embrace his mum who chuckled at his antics.
"Hey mum!"
"Hello dear, your as wild as always" she smiled and Qrow poured which made Oz chuckle.
He almost regretted it because now their attention was on him.
Qrow grinned, running ovef and taking Oz's hand before wandering back to his parents.
Oz bowed his head at them both in respect "Greetings, Mr and Mrs Branwen, I'm Eira Ozpin but everyone just calls me Oz."
Oz tried to stop himself from shaking.
He was terrified that Qrow's parents would immediately be able to see that he didn't belong here.
He never did.
To his suprise, Qormac put a suprisingly gentle hand on his shoulder and Oz looked up at him.
There was no trace of anger, nor disgust in his eyes. Not like Oz's own father in the times he had seen him.
Only warmth.
A warmth that made Oz feel like he'd been cold his entire life and only now could feel the temperature change.
"None of that now, I'm Qormac and this is my wife Merle. We're happy you came Oz."
Oz tried not to let his shock show.
They wanted him here?
"I'm glad we got your measurements right dear, you look lovely." Said Merle with a smile.
One that reminded him so much of the man he loved.
"Thank you Mrs Bra-... Merle. Thank you Merle. I love it. But you didn't have to go to all this trouble."
Merle waved him off "none of that now love. Your our new son afterall, and I will have nothing but the best for my family."
... Family...
She thought...
They saw him as family?
He hadn't known them barely 5 minutes but they had already deemed him to be their son?
Oz felt tears prick his eyes and was glad no one mentioned it when he wiped them away.
Qormac softened and Oz wandered if he understood.
"Well, let's get inside shall we. We've got much to talk about." Said Merle, before a mischievous smile appeared on her face "and a few baby albums to share."
"Mum!"
Oz laughed.
A full belly laugh that engulfed him in warmth, whetherf it was at the odd situation of Qrow's shreik he wasn't sure.
He let Merle take his hand and lead him inside with Qrow hot on his heels and Qormac not even bothering to hide his laugh.
The tent was cosy.
It felt like home in a way Oz's never had.
Their was a piece of all the Branwen's in their home and part of Oz hoped he could leave his own mark in their.
Oz spent the hours cooing and awhing at baby Qrow pictures (To Qrows embarrassment), listening to childhood stories from Merle and Qormac.
Ate a hearty dinner of food he'd never had before but would now never live without. Finding himself slotted at the table without feeling out of place.
"And know, this isn't a one time thing." Said Qormac, as he took the dishes away and Qrow fiddled with the record player.
"Your welcome here whenever you want son."
Oz smiled back, he wanted to come back.
He didn't know how they both adored him so much but he was happy.
Warm.
"I'd like that"
Qormac smiled, leaving the couple to stand togrther. With Merle having popped out to talk to some of the tribe.
"You did amazing" said Qrow, sweeping off his feet and into a hug.
"I didn't do anything" shrugged Oz and Qrow chuckled "you were yourself hun, and that's all you had to be. Told you they'd love you."
Oz hadn't believed it at the time.
But now...
"I love them too, and you I love you."
Qrow smiled, pressing play as the record began to spin and put his arms around his lover.
As both swayed and danced to the music.
"I love you too"
................
Bonus:
Merle and Qormac's outfits:
With Qrow matching with his mum and Oz having a black dupatta like Qormac, to show he belongs.
.
To me this is the song that was playing while Qrow and Oz danced

James listened carefully. He didn't interrupt, but his eyes focused were on Eira along with his attention.
"Do you want to stop?" He asked gently. That wasn't any sort of judgement. He would never admit it, definitely not to his struggling students or colleagues, but sometimes quitting was the very top of his dreams.
"It might sound a bit too trivial, but life truly goes in ups and downs. It tends to look good in theory, but in practice some are truly low and no one can really see if the path leads further down or up, nor when it changes." He paused for a moment, giving her a small, encouraging smile. "It would be entirely unrealistic to expect you to run on the top of the waves and jump over the lows. That is no different for leadership."
"You are no less reliable to your teammates because of making mistakes. No one knows the right answers or choices all the time. That's why even headmasters have to ask for advice sometimes." Gods know how much he missed being able to ask Ozpin for advice. Or calling Leo or Theo, even just to bicker at each other and bounce some ideas around. "I believe your teammates would like you to rely on them as much as they rely on you, but that would be wisest to discuss with them."
"Oh, y-yes sir. Thank you."
Eira took the coffee cup carefully, taking a sip of the warm liquid. It did make her feel just a little better. Coffee was her preferred drink of choice, after all.
She pondered her words for a brief moment, staring into the cup.
"I've messed up more times than I can count. I'm supposed to be the one my teammates can depend on, the one they look to for decisions and guidance. And lately I can't even do that right!"
Their latest mission still weighed heavily on her mind. Eira had made a decision that resulted in her and her teammates being absolutely swarmed by Grimm, all four of them barely making it out.
It hadn't been the first time she made a bad call that put them in danger.
"I don't know what happened. I used to be better, I should be better." She sighed, lowering her head. "Maybe it's a sign that I should stop..."

rwby oc stuff under the cut ..
Eira Frost - Eira is an Atlesian actress, and a snow leopard Faunus (her trait is a tail!), she’s particularly known for starring in romantic movies, and outside of that, she’s a strong advocate for Faunus rights, making her a bit controversial. She openly dislikes the SDC’s treatment of Faunus, and has joined protests against the SDC in the past; this has not done any favours for her career, but, she doesn’t really care.
Orpheus - Orpheus is a human musician, he always has been, and he specifically wrote music for his childhood sweetheart, Viridia, he has journals full of songs for and about her. Viridia is the one who encouraged him to come out of his shell more, and to actually do something with his music. When she died, he became absolutely devastated and his newly beginning musical career came to a screeching halt when he up and vanished. No one knows where he is. Except for himself, of course. He resides in the forests of Anima, playing his music and half-heartedly fending off Grimm.
Viridia Serpent - Viridia was always an outgoing, rough-and-tumble kinda gal, a complete opposite to Orpheus’s more quiet and reserved nature. They were neighbors as kids, and they grew up together. Unfortunately, while on a vacation with her family, Viridia was killed by a King Taijitu in a Grimm attack, and Orpheus has never been the same since.
Rook - A bird faunus, and an orphan who grew up on the streets of Mantle. They were a begger and a thief for a long time, up until they met Sterling, and became solely a thief. Rook is the quiet type, and you’d think they’re the muscle of rsnc, but that honor goes to Neri. Rook detests violence. They have wings that match their namesake bird, and their semblance allows them to turn their feathers into projectiles. It is not a semblance they use often.
Neri - A human with an interesting semblance; Neri’s looks are incredibly disarming. She’s very sweet and flowery looking, but she’s the muscle of rsnc, the one who carries out threats. Her semblance allows her to secret a poison on her skin at will (like a poison dart frog) that varies in intensity, and she’s not afraid to use it. Neri, despite being all too willing to kill, is a rather upbeat girl. Unfortunately, no one really knows her backstory, and frankly they’re all a little afraid to ask.
Clover - Clover was born to parents who had a kid because they were supposed to and not because they wanted to, she was raised by screens and nannies and basically has a whole host of parental issues. She wanted to become a huntress, but things didn’t quite work out and she ended up haunting and bankrupting casinos with her luck semblance. Then she met Sterling, and agreed to join her growing ring of thieves.
Robin Meadows - Robin is the summer maiden, who inherited the powers from her late mother when she was a child. Unfortunately for anyone who might want to keep an eye on her to ensure her safety, Robin is a complete pacifist with no interest nor capability to defend herself should trouble come her way. She lives alone out in Anima in a cottage, using her powers to sustain a small, private farm. She’s rarely attacked by Grimm because she rarely feels any negative emotions; she’s content with her life and that’s enough to keep bad things away.
#cora.txt#viridia's name is Green Snake & tht will never not be funny to me for reasons i cant expain#also my clover & her luck semblance existed b4 canon clover did#tbh i forgot robin Existed but shes a good girl#even tho shes a pain in the ass#ozpins like 'u shld move somewhere we can keep tabs on u'#and robins like . im good#i LOVE neri's semblance#sterling doesnt actually have a semblance. i was thinking mimicry but. it doesnt fit her#orpheus's semblance (tho not Unlocked) is Charming Voice; he can Command People for very . very short periods of time#viridia's semblance is related to plants but idk what exactly#eira doesnt have a semblance & she doesnt care to get one

Challenge (Final Rose AU)
“Today, I defeat you!”
The students around Victoria rapidly cleared a path for Sigrid as the pink-haired girl leapt onto the table, so she could glare down at her cousin.
Victoria calmly finished drinking her can of cola before slamming the empty can down onto the table. “Let’s take this outside.”
After the first such skirmish between the two cousins, Professor Ozpin had made the sensible decision of keeping at least one training ground free for their use each day. It was occasionally inconvenient, but it was a lot cheaper than having them wreak havoc in a less easily repaired part of the academy.
“Hand to hand,” Sigrid growled.
“Fine by me,” Victoria replied. “Besides, we’ve got class soon. We’d be here all day if we could use our Semblances fully.” She smirked and gestured at the crowd of students that had followed them over to the training yard. Their little sparring matches had gotten quite famous. “And hand to hand makes it easier to put on a show.”
Sigrid smirked and then reached up to toss her hair back before turning her lilac eyes on Victoria. “Are you ready?”
Victoria shifted into a fighting stance. “Please… I was born ready.”
Sigrid chuckled and then vanished in a blur of motion. Her fist shot through the space that Victoria’s head had occupied only an instant earlier as the dark-haired girl ducked and pivoted away. She followed her more straightforward attack with a wide hook and a spinning kick that would have snapped a tree in half.
Victoria blocked the kick, her boots digging into the soil before she tightened her hold on Sigrid’s leg and hurled her cousin at a nearby tree. The other girl gave an almost contemptuous laugh before flipping in mid-air, so she could brace her feet against the tree and push off it. The pink-haired girl lanced back toward Victoria, one foot extended.
“Saviour Kick!”
Now, most people would have laughed at such a ridiculously named move. Heck, most people would have laughed at the thought of someone actually naming their moves. Victoria wasn’t most people. Not only did she name her moves too but she had also been on the receiving end of this move before. It was no laughing matter.
At its core, Saviour Kick was just a massively Aura-enhanced kick. However, by boosting herself with Saviour for a split-second, Sigrid was able to increase the power of the strike even further. The current version of the move racing toward Victoria had enough power behind it to turn a school bus into confetti and leave a crater more than a dozen yards wide.
Which is exactly what it did when Victoria dodged.
A sound like thunder rippled outward from the impact as bits of grass, rock, dust, and other debris filled the air. Victoria turned and threw a kick at Sigrid’s head as her cousin struggled to get her balance back after missing… or so it seemed. Sigrid smirked, and her eyes flashed crimson for a moment before she twisted under Victoria’s outstretched leg.
For an instant, Sigrid’s front was pressed right up against Victoria’s back.
“Heh. You’ve kicked me in the head enough times for me to see that coming,” Sigrid whispered. “Consider this payback. Saviour Suplex!”
Victoria squawked as Sigrid jerked her up off her feet and into a suplex that deepened the crater they were standing in. The impact would have killed almost anyone else, but Victoria was more angry about being caught by the attack than actually injured. She scrambled up to her feet, but Sigrid was faster. The other girl swept her feet out from under her and drew one arm back.
“Oh… crap,” Victoria muttered.
“Saviour Chop!”
The Saviour Chop was a technique based on Averia Yun-Farron’s habit of occasionally giving Diana Yun-Farron a gentle chop on the head whenever she was saying or doing something especially ridiculous. Sigrid, however, used it slightly differently. It was more along the lines of what her other parent, Yang Xiao Long, would do.
It wasn’t gentle. Instead, the Saviour Chop was designed to pulverise whatever it hit.
Victoria sailed out of the cloud of dust and debris and crashed through several trees before coming to a rest at the end of a long trench that her impact had dug out. She got back to her feet and rubbed her jaw. She’d definitely felt that one, even if all of the injuries were already healed. It was always nice to see what knew combinations and ideas her cousin could come up with. Sigrid was very inventive like that. However, it wouldn’t do for her to let the other girl get too many hits in.
As Sigrid rocketed toward her, Victoria launched herself forward. The dark-haired girl faked an attack of her own before slithering around Sigrid’s strike with an agility she’d developed from years of climbing people as a little kid. Sigrid’s eyes widened as realised what Victoria was about to do.
Grinning impishly, Victoria named her move. “Ragnarok Flying Squirrel.”
“Seriously - oof!”
The breath rushed out of Sigrid as she was tossed into the ground hard enough to leave another crater before Victoria grabbed her by the scruff of her shirt.
“Ragnarok Uppercut!”
The blow hurled Sigrid up into the air which was exactly where Victoria wanted her. She leapt after her cousin and then brought her elbow down in a thunderous blow.
“Ragnarok Elbow Drop!”
Sigrid hit the ground again, leaving yet another crater, but she managed to scramble to her feet in time to avoid the followup “Rangarok Shooting Star” kick that would have made her day considerably worse although the attack did do a wonderful job of deepening the crater.
As Victoria leapt out of the crater, Sigrid attacked again. They exchanged blows at a dizzying pace. Punches were ducked, blocked, or caught. Kicks were checked, blocked, and avoided. Sigrid fought with an eerie combination of mechanical efficiency and furious abandon, short, sharp blows interspersed with sweeping strikes and lunging attacks. For her part, Victoria moved with predatory grace, giving ground when she had to before darting forward to strike like a snake, her attacks coming in from unusual angles and at odd times, each blow aimed at disrupting her opponent’s rhythm and letting her go on the offensive.
They had just broken apart to look for a better angle of attack when their little match came to an end. Gigantic columns of ice rippled into existence, and the temperature dropped. Snow began to fall, and there was no mistaking the absolutely colossal Aura signature headed their way.
“She’s your sister,” Victoria said. “You deal with her.”
Sigrid grinned. “I’m already on it.” She looked at Victoria. “How are my puppy dog eyes?”
Victoria nodded in approval. “Good. She won’t stand a chance.”
Eira stomped toward the pair with a glare. “Do you two know how long you’ve been fighting? You’re late to class, which is why the professor sent me to make sure you two attend.” Her eyes narrowed. “And don’t even think of running. You will be attending.”
Sigrid stepped forward, her puppy dog eyes at the ready. “But sis…”
Eira hastily turned away. “Luna, deal with her.”
Eira’s team leader grabbed Sigrid and hoisted her over her shoulder. “Sorry, kiddo, but I can’t let you puppy dog eyes your way out of class. If it didn’t work for me, it’s not going to work for you.”
“As for you…” Eira gestured, and a tendril of ice grabbed Victoria. “I’ll be escorting you to class.” As she walked off with Victoria dragging along behind her, she stopped and nodded at a member of the audience. “Yasuko, can you fix this?”
The dark-skinned girl with green eyes smirked. “Sure.”
Author’s Note
This is set in an AU in which Elsa/Averia/Yang is a thing. As a result, Sigrid is Averia and Yang’s daughter, she’s a bit more fiery than standard Sigrid. Throw in Victoria, and it’s not a surprise that the two get into some hijinks.

Okay, but the sisters absolutely adoring Oscar, and unofficially adopting him as their little brother. Dawn treating him like the kid he is, and reintroducing him to fun. Kyra helping him to see the wonder that the world still holds. Maple helping him with his fighting and defense. Eira teaching him to be more patient and observant, even in high stakes situations.
The four of them seeing and treating him as Oscar. Not as Ozpin/Ozma, but as himself. Protecting him as they would each other, and not because he shares a mind with Oz, but because they care about him as a person. Them also hating the fact that he will one day no longer exist outside of Oz. (Sidenote: they hate everything having to do with his reincarnation)

For the young leaders AU 👀
"What did you just say to me?"
Sure! :)
This is a small one so bear with me here, anyways Eira go offfffffffff
An Ember
After a while of putting up with Ozymandias’s constant ridicule, Eira finally works up the nerve to say something after the king let’s a particular comment slip.
They were walking back from another training session in Mr. Rose’s class. Or, well, he was walking, Ozymandias was floating alongside him.
He was scowling, Eira was looking away from him.
Once they reached the quieter side of the school is when Ozymandias started in on his usual tangent.
“It was one singular punch! And you managed to screw it up somehow. You can’t even throw a damn punch right, what makes you think you can fight without me?”
“Leave me alone…”
“Yes, because that’s worked with me and with the countless others you let walk all over you.”
“I’m not in the mood. I already know what you’re going to say. I’m too weak, I’m too fragile, I’m too much of a doormat, too much this not enough that. Just save it, I’m already tired from class…”
He feels his wrist be yanked, and he’s spun around to face the man, whose now enraged.
“You have the audacity to speak to me that way you fool?! You will follow my guidance or you will get yourself murdered. And I wouldn’t so much have an issue with that if it wasn’t for the fact that you would merge with me!”
Eira yanks his wrist out of Ozymandias’s hand. He then turns around, and continues walking.
Ozymandias scoffs, “It’s no wonder you ran. You run from everything, just like this time. You probably even ran from your parents just because they said something you didn’t like. I hope they find you eventually.”
An image of a beaten and battered Eira, curled up in the corner of his room, shoots through his mind before disappearing as quickly as it came. Ozymandias is stunned into silence, not knowing where it came from.
“What did you just say to me?” He’s stopped walking.
Ozymandias stays silent as Eira turns around, a rage filled look on his face. He’d seen many negative emotions from the boy, embarrassment, fear, sadness, but never anger.
“You know nothing about how my parents treated me. You know nothing about how my life was before I ran.”
“. . .”
“But because I’m an actually decent person, unlike someone else I know, I’ll tell you, seeing as you apparently have the respect to not go digging through my memories. My parents only had me because they needed an heir to their stupid weapons company. Yes, I heard them say that, to my face. They permanently disabled me by fucking up my right leg, they beat me within an inch of my life any chance they could, and forced me into studying so debilitating and hard to do that I would pass out from exhaustion because they wouldn’t let me rest.”
“…I-“
“I don’t need your input. As you said, in your own damn words, I am in the same position that you and the others were in when they found out they were another incarnation. You’d think you’d have a little compassion to that. But no, you just are a sad pathetic excuse for a king who gets off on harassing a kid when you know nobody would believe him if he told anyone of the literal abuse you put him through.”
Ozymandias looks away.
“Leave. Me. Alone.”
Eira promptly begins blocking Ozymandias out of his mind after that. No emotional empathy between them, no memory sharing, nothing. He watches as Eira leaves, unable to discern where he plans to go.
It would be better if he didn’t follow him, that’s what he thought.
It would seem both of them have some thinking to do.

Young leaders: Oz, favourite kingdom in remnant?
Eira (Ozpin): uh… I’d say probably Vale or Mistral. Vale because, well, it’s my home.
But also because both countries cultures are really interesting. Although I’ve never really experienced Mistral or even Vale’s culture (despite living here…)
My parents never really let me out of the house much unless it was for business stuff…

Ozymandias, how do you see your relationship with Ozzy? And Ozzy, how do you see your relationship with Ozymandias? 🦊
(Assuming this is for the young leaders au because it’s on my main and not the n! Au side blog. Oz goes by Eira here in the young leaders au)
Ozymandias: …I don’t know. All I know is that this fool is not just naive, but a coward and a weak person. I have no interest in working with him, and will continue to tell him that until he learns to straighten up and get a spine for himself.
Eira: …authoritarian. He… reminds me of my parents…
[ he huffs out a sad laugh ]
I guess they were right, even if I run away I’ll never truly escape them.
And I’m nothing without them…

Eira (Ozpin): alright… training has been going well thus far with Qrow. I guess I’m starting to have more confidence with it.

Don’t let someone try to live through you to fix their mistakes. Ozymandias is dead, nothing can change that. He is tied to your soul, that cannot change either. What can change is how you both view each other and treat each other, but it must be a two way street. If he isn’t willing to be better, then learning how to block him is something we need to practice. -🐈⬛
Eira (Ozpin): that’s the thing, he’s tied to my soul. Permanently.
We’re going to merge eventually.
I have to learn to get along with him or else it’ll be the two of us fighting each other constantly against a situation that is inevitable.
I’m not going to be me soon… what does it matter how I feel?

Hey now, no one is born great and no just becomes great at something the first try. Give it time, effort, and dedication and you’ll be a wonderful huntsman! -🐈⬛
Eira (Ozpin): . . . I don’t know.
Ozymandias seems to think so. He’s always been super hard on me for not being good at combat. I don’t blame him, he was the king of vale for the brothers’ sake.
It has to be kinda embarrassing to be that kind of person and end up in the body of a helpless kid.
I don’t really know much about Ozymandias. The only things I know about him are A. He’s really really awful to me, and B. Anything I’ve gotten from his memories.
I occasionally get glimpses or dreams about memories that belong to him. A lot of them relating to the war.
The most recent one was confusing though, the only way I knew it was related to him was because I was seemingly in his body in the dream. Everytime I tried to speak I’d cough up blood. And there were probably thousands of people murmuring comments about how he needed to do this and that.
I guess he had a lot of expectations on him… that’s the only conclusion I can come up with. I don’t know what the blood thing was.
But… anyways. I’ll try to keep that in mind. That I won’t be perfect to begin with. It’s just hard when that’s been the expectation your entire life up until now…
