I find it hilarious that the kids are having moral dilemmas about Earth-C when they only had like 20 years of public prescence, maybe trolls and humans were getting along until they came along.

I can't believe the Beta/Alpha Kids and living trolls like Karkat, Kanaya, and Terezi, were the ones that started segregation. It ain't people like Eridan or Equius that are racists. It's these fuckers.

Comparing the works of Tolkien to Homestuck is like comparing diamonds to a bucket of piss.

So last year I wrote about Act 7 for a film class, and in the process of researching it lots of things about the epilogues and HS2 made a lot more sense to me. Fundamentally, canon ended with the Green Sun and the birth of the Green Hole, not when our players stepped through the door. There is no way Hussie was not giggling to themselves about this sweet Tolkien own.

Are we finally talking about how weird it is that Earth C is racially segregated? Because that's been bothering me for eons now.

It's really hard to sell Earth C as this diverse utopia lacking in bigotry when everyone's racially segregated. It's natural for some races to more heavily populate certain areas, but the strict racial kingdoms concept is, plain and simple, not a good look when it's not explored as an overtly negative thing.
