Dreamlevel story (my concept)

Once there was a world full of humans and monsters and there was a certain tree in a certain village. That tree was the tree of feelings *then lazily explains the entire backstory of Dreamtale and the backstory of two Dreamtale Frisks*

After the apple incident, the Dreamtale village was now in ruins and with people who are now like zombies who will attack anything they see or feel due to Nightmare's negativity. Few years later, after Moon Frisk and Nightmare Sans got married, six children were born, Prince Alexander also known as Nightmare JR, Princess Midnight, Princess Twilight and triplets named Esmeray, Amaris and Luna

Dream and Nightmare soon made a truce after fighting each other for years, for the sake of their family. People in the human realm were stupid like the medieval times as they thought of magic as witchcraft and burnt the person or monster who had magic so all of the people with magical abilities escaped to the kingdoms of Positivity and Negativity, where Sun and Moon taught them how to master them.

Dream Sans and Sun Frisk too had children, Prince James, Princess Hermione, Princess Clara, Prince David and twins named April and Leo.

However, two twin princesses met James and Alex. One was Twyla! Sofia, whom Alex saved from being bullied when she was six and he was eight and the other was Star! Sofia, whom James met at school.

Since Moon and Sun taught every women and children ninja techniques for self-defence, they were taught too.

Growing up, an incident that happened with Hermione when she was 15 changed the entire demeanor of Dream Sans. He became overprotective towards the girls in his family, just to keep them safe as he does not want them to suffer like how he suffered during the Dreamtale incident and how Hermione suffered. That same incident James too as he became overprotective towards only Hermione.

Soon, Twyla and Star discovered their hidden powers which were hidden in their souls while mastering Shaolin Kung Fu, the magic of the souls of Determination, which was same like Moon and Sun too but Sun was the only person who feared that they might go overboard with their discovery and decided to mentor how to control them. Twyla soon had lightening powers and Star had blood magic.

The kids of Dreamtale soon made friends just like how their fathers did. James made a team with Classic Elys, Painting Elys and Swap Arno called the Star Human-Tons since childhood

Alex made friends and made a group with Error Elys, Fell Elys, Cross Elys, Horror Elys, Dust Elys and Killer Elys named The Bad Human-Tons.

The kids grew up to adults and they still follow the same (One thing I forgot to mention is that Dream, James and Clara have a genetic disorder called Tekanus which is like cannibalism when starved and face turns into MKX Mileena for Clara and Dream and just sharp teeth for James, *cough*)

so first of all it’s a good time to mention i have a content sideblog @aroacearrowace for my fics n art bc i have like 6k posts on this blog and none of them are coherent. that blog is the one u will see coherency on. this one is chaos and horrors and a tag system that only i can navigate. as u can see, i’m posting on this one. so we’re going to be crazy tonight

usually i’m like not active on tumblr at all bc discord is My True Home. so usually u will just see me going feral on discord BUT i am currently thinking abt @andizoidart​‘s boy and idk their discord/if they have one/what kind of servers they’re in so now i’m just going to b going feral on here for the next however long it takes to fic idea.

normally i am only this unhinged on private discord servers with 10 people including me inside. u are all about to witness the horrors sooo badly get exposed to my mental illness get consumed by my chaos

normally i would put long posts behind a read more but when u read more u can only find the posts on the Account It Was Posted On and unless u archive.org it u literally cannot find it if ur blog is deleted for whatever reason. also i get really annoyed when ppl put things behind a read more bc i wanna see the content i don’t wanna GO TO A SEPARATE PAGE. also this is my blog i do what i want. so anyway no read more bc again, i’m feral!

anyway i spent so long just explaining my incoherency so now u will witness the me

first of all: ghost apples! they’re really cool. i want to squish one in my hands like soap. watch it break like glass. very stimmie very gender very ogh. my immediate keyword associations: ice, glass, ghost. i could EASILY make an oc sans that’s all of those things and then shove them in to kiss dream and nightmare on the mouth but that’s the easy route. what i want to do is use ghost apples as a theme to an overarching story full of slowburn and suffering.

(prepare for technical writing terms that were literally made up by me and never elaborated on)

i usually write in a very metaphorical, emotional way. when you read each line of my work, i want it to make you feel an emotion and carry you to the next paragraph, which makes you feel a different emotion, guiding you on a journey of my very own design. metaphors. i like metaphors

now the keywords i chose were “ice,” “glass,” and “ghost.” i have two options here: make each segment of the story pertain to a different keyword, or make each character pertain to a different keyword. i like metaphors! so i’m doing the latter.

easily, i come up with:

nightmare - cold like ice, frozen to the touch. standoffish. you know elsa from frozen? like in that one scene the do u wanna build a snowman scene? yeah yeah that.

dream - glass. instantly, glass, bc of the statue thing. fragile, delicate, easy to break. i really really like a dream who can kick ur butt for no reason whatsoever so i have elected to put my own twist on this: dream is treated like glass, but he’s made of stone. (see what i did there?)

with that, nightmare feels like ice, but is treated like fire. dream is treated like glass, but feels like stone.

then, somnus.

definitely. would b very fun. if somnus felt and was treated the same, as a foil to dream and nightmare.

somnus’s keyword was ghost. i’m realllyyyy torn on what to do with this one bc there’s so many options.

i could literally kill him off, and then make him a ghost, but that’s like, obvious. there’s not a metaphor in that. also what’s the point of writing a fic about a character if u kill them off in the first five seconds.

according to andi’s post, he has dysfunctional magic. instantly makes me think of a disabled metaphor, i like it. he searches for artificial magic, and he’s a little worm guy. goes digging in the dirt and pulls out a fistful of worms. brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

it might be a lot of fun to change the dreamtale story around a lot. i want nightmare to get corrupted, that’s definitely staying. maybe i want to give them wings, for funsies. not for any particular reason, just funsies. buuuut idk if i want dream to get stoned in a physical sense.

my metaphor was that nightmare feels like ice, is treated like fire. dream is treated like glass, is made of stone… so i think what if i made that metaphor really really apparent with the apple incident part of the story

i really like the idea that in like, any dreamtale au, both dream and nightmare get abused. nightmare is physically abused, yeah, but dream is emotionally abused. with somnus, it might be fun to include neglect as a third form of abuse, just so we get all of the abuse. i never said i was going to be nice to these characters

i think that, with somnus left in the dust, and dream being treated as though he’s made of glass, and nightmare being treated like a threat, dream would be the first to act. dream eats the apple, first.

i’m guessing the sort of idea behind somnus is that he’s the wood? dream is the gold apples, nightmare the black, somnus is the wood. so i’m not doing a shattered dream scenario bc i wanna stick with each of those themes. idk what the positive apples would do to you if you ate one, bc like in canon they just make you really lucky?? i guess???? but in this i want something DRAMATIC to happen. since this is just a fic outline i’m metaphorically inserting brackets that say [something dramatic happens that get all three triplets fighting against the villagers]

nightmare gets corrupted like ice, dream like stone, and somnus..? hm. i mean i have to figure out what somnus does to the tree bc i don’t think it’s good to just up and eat tree bark from some random apple tree. i don’t think that’s healthy. there was a mention of a palismen in the post i think unless i read it wrong so i think,,,,, mb the tree starts falling apart bc the other two are eating the apples so then the tree just goes YOINK ur getting stolen into the tree now.

and since somnus’s prompt is ghost i think. i think. i think it would b very fun if the fic was about dream and nightmare trying to find their brother.

How the multiverse came to be. An entirely unknown branching of tangible events- timelines, if you would -interwoven and interconnected. Some of the oldest legends had always been passed by word of mouth, through soft stories by silver tongues beneath the starlight. There would be theories to where the possibilities stemmed from, how the chain of events had become so very varied and become fragmented, disunited.

Trees. Why did things so often circle back to trees? Be it the grasp for roots back into nature or simply based in the evolutionary theory of the branching of species, myths would return to trees. In a metaphysical sense, there were three definitive trees the multiverse depended upon: the Tree of Life, the Tree of Mana/Magic, and the Tree of Feelings. Both the former spirits- their guardians -had taken care to distance themselves from the simple life forms that so depended on them; the latter, on the other hand, wasn’t so cautious.

She was the youngest of the three, and despite the warnings of her sister spirits, had always found a fascination in mortals. They had simple lives, simple needs, simple desires… a simplicity she couldn’t help but crave. How she wished to join them, to interact directly, become a part of their story. Waiting was the difficult part, biding her time ever so carefully to root herself physically into the multiverse. There was a perfect world of her own creation, nothing special or particularly extravagant; it was never something grandiose that she wanted. The simplicity she so admired was directed into a quaint little fantasy world, a concept… a dream.

Dreamtale existed long before her presence rooted into it; she thought the name was quite fitting. For a time, everything was perfect to her; mortals were so amusing and engaging, and so very kind. Her routine and work stayed just the same, being a guardian, managing the flow of emotions with the tides of their balance. The tree she protected eventually bore the fruits of her labors as the multiverse stabilized and grew, blooming flowers that budded into both golden and black apples.

And last but not least, 8/8, being a free space. I chose the Dreamtale Triplets for this one, seeing as I haven’t shown how the three have aged.

Following two centuries of trying to fill in for Dream, Somnus seemingly fell off the face of the earth. Even once Dream came out of stone after 500 years, Somnus was still MIA and assumed to be dead. When really he��s just a hermit in an unfinished AU that he decided would be a good place to hide out from his brothers’ war in-

It would be difficult for him to say he hadn’t noticed the differences in himself from his brothers. Especially as they aged.

His brothers grew in their powers, and he just… didn’t. It was easier to bury himself in the busy work of his studies, learning medicinal techniques and potion-making.

Though a thought always lingered at the back of his subconscious. If his brothers were destined to their natural sides of the balance within a prophecy…

…where was he supposed to fit in?

Yes! I am very much okay with viewing and perceiving what people ship! I find it fascinating in all honesty and try to understand the different sides of it (but underage stuff is a big no no in my house guys, gals and nonbinary pals).

I *absolutely* understand this point. People on the internet are absolutely awful and cruel sometimes, but I think if we can all learn to be respectful, that would be so neat and the opposite of toxic!

Thank you so so much!! It literally means the world to me when anyone compliments my characters, especially ones I’ve worked hard on thinking out and designing fhshjskd. Don’t you worry, I’ve got big plans in progress for this little boy-

I always feel like I’m at a bit of a disadvantage in the art world being a fully traditional artist QwQ,, Like, it’s not that I haven’t tried to do digital art, it’s that I don’t have the equipment, finances, or ability that I would need to do it- I love that everyone has their own unique style, though, it’s so fun to see!!

As for a little bit more on mister middle child nonsense, I’ll list some silly trivia about him and his brothers! Who knows what may be relevant ;]

Somnus’ Nightmare has collected little porcelain figurines since they were children, and has always had an affinity for horticulture.

Somnus was (and still is) obsessed with bugs, biology, zoology, and anatomy. He would absolutely freak Dream and Nightmare out by trying to show them the “super cool spider I just found”.

Somnus doesn’t have good magic control or stats. He sometimes wishes he didn’t have it at all, rather than being weak. Because of this, he took up a lot of material arts, such as medicinal practices and potion making.

Somnus is a *serious* insomniac. Like, the hardly sleeps insomnia with night terrors and daydreams attached (realizing the irony in that).

Somnus only started becoming interested in science because he was looking for a way to create and sustain artificial magic. His hope was that by using natural elements, he could find a way to enhance his magic. Heeee has yet to find that solution.

Somnus’ Dream was a very oblivious child. Not in the “dumb blonde” stereotype way, but in the way that if he wasn’t told something, it didn’t happen in his mind. He was, however, very observant.

Each of the brother’s gained something from their mother tree: Dream’s cape from the banner sigil, Nightmare’s powers from the blackened apple, and Somnus’ talisman carved from the wood of a branch that fell in a storm.
