brotp - this is kind of a hard one, but in my world i like to imagine that he would get along w diana. they have some parallels kinda like sigma and akane (such as their alcoholism and morality, although junpei is still willing to manipulate and do selfish things at times). i also like the dynamic between him and aoi, how aoi would have this unspoken grudge against him and junpei would follow suit bc of that. ik some ppl ship them but i think itd work more as like,, well i wouldnt call them friends but their common goal is making sure akane is okay

angsty headcanon - ppl r probably gonna get mad at me for this one but here we go fhdjhf post-ztd akane and junpei break up for different reasons. for akane, its bc of this idealistic version of her that junpei projects onto her (which makes me think he doesnt rlly like her for her yk? just the idea of her). and for junpei, its bc of akane's control issues and wanting to regain agency which cant be done in a committed romantic relationship. theyre still friends though!! besties even. bc they do need each other even if it isnt how theyd expect . also i headcanon akane as aro so uhh yeah
