nonono c!quackity coming home on Sapnaps birthday after finding out about Tommy’s death

He walks into the house with a big smile on his face and runs over to Sap and jumping into him

“Happy Birthday hot stuff”

littering his face in kisses before pulling away

Sapnap smiling back thanking him for the birthday kisses

“Wheres Karl?”

“Kitchen”

Quackity wandering into the kitchen and coming up behind Karl whos over the stove and turns around as he hears him coming

“Soooo did you pick up the flowers?”

Quackitys face immediately drops, his first thought flying to the front of Tommy’s house until he remembers he promised Karl he’d pick up some flowers for Sapnap

“Wha- oh yeah the flowers...”

“Did you forget?”

“Sorry, a lot happened today”

Karl nods solemnly assuring it’s ok, causing pricks in Quackitys heart, as he turns back towards the food as Sapnap walks in

“What happened up at the casino today then Quack?”

Quackity can feel the tears start to well up, he feels so warm and safe here and knows neither of the boys will judge him for crying, but he doesn’t want to ruin Sapnaps special day or make it all about him

So he just plunges on

“Just the norm, what have you two gotten up to?”

He doesn’t really hear what the others talk about, just nodding his head every so often, not really clocking in to the conversation until they’re all sat around having their dinner

and Karl asks Quackity if he’s ok because he seemed zoned out and quiet

And Quackity just breaks down crying

Karl and Sapnap both look at each other with furrowed brows before walking around the table to where Quackity’s sat

“do you wanna go sit on the couch Quack?”

Quackity just nods through the tears and the boys lead him over to the couch and sit him down

Sitting either side of him, trying to calm him down with gentle shushing and rubbing his back until his crying sorta stops

“i’m sorry i’m so sorry i didn’t wanna ruin your day Sap”

“look it’s ok, babe you haven’t ruined my day just seeing you makes my day”

“what’s wrong quack?”

“it’s Tommy... Tommy’s dead”

Karl and Sapnap look at him in disbelief

“how, didn’t you say he was in prison?”

Quackity sorrowfully looking up at Sap when he says

“It was Dream... he beat him to death”

Sapnap immediately jumping up in anger and grabbing his sword, turning towards the door

Karl running to stand infront of him while Quackity stares up unsure what’s happening

“You’re not going out to kill Dream Sapnap, you hear me! I will not let you, you’re not leaving this house as I live an-“

Sapnap scowling and trying to duck around Karl, constantly being side stepped until Quackity pipes up

“Sap, please. You can’t change anything”

Sapnap turns to look at Quackity who is looking up at him, tears still falling down his cheeks and a pleading look in his eyes

Then back to Karl who’s got a calm yet stern look on his as he reaches out to place a hand on his shoulder

And Sapnap just falls onto the floor with a sob

“How can he hurt so many people I love, hurt me so much. And- and what he did to Tommy, all he did to Tommy, Dream deserves it! he fucking deserves it”

Karl quickly pulls him up and takes him over to the couch where he grabs Quackity and pulls him into him

“Alright this night may not have gone to plan but I will go get us some cake and hot chocolate and we can toast to Tommy”

The whole time Karl’s in the kitchen Quackity is apologetizing over and over for ruining Sapnaps night while Sapnap reassures him he didn’t and is glad he told them

They end the night all asleep on the couch, with Sapnap between Karl’s legs, head on his chest, Quackity mirroring the same position on him
