Almost a year ago, I had an idea for a quick little two-shot - a before/after kind of fic. I started writing it, kept running out of steam on part 2 and starting over, and then had a great idea for a plot. Nearly a year later, here we are. The fic has nine chapters. This is the prologue - what was supposed to be part 1 of 2 just two darn it. Now it's a prologue. Enjoy!

Summary:

Trapped in the Unknown Regions, Thrawn and the Chimaera stumble upon a secret, one with the power to destroy their enemies – or themselves. Searching for an answer to her nightmares, Che’ri sets off across the stars, discovering long-forgotten mysteries of the Chiss sky-walkers – and that those mysteries were not lost, but stolen.
