PreMilo probably has had really, and like really bad days, but I don't think he'd ever try. He's probably thought about it, but he's too much of a coward to actually do it. He doesn't particularly like pain and he still hopelessly believes that he will find a love out there. One day.

Evan lore? Kinda (how does one write about lore help) (I haven't written in a while, I'm rusty, don't look at me-)

Evan is a lonely man, who's desperate for love.

He has dated a couple of people, but they weren't good enough. He believes love is someone who is supposed to be on the same level as you. One you never get bored of, one who you want to spend the rest of your life with.

Rest of your life is a long time, of course Evan wants someone perfect. But everyone eventually get so dull, mundane, too repetitive, too boring.

He hates boring people.

A lot of his exes complain about his lack of affection. How distant he became, unlike the beginning of the relationship. How he slowly slip away from them. Some of them cried if he even loved them in the first place. He wasn't sure, he thought he did.

But they always get so boring.

The lack of effort they put it's unbearable… It’s not his fault, I guess it's not their fault for being boring either. He was starting to believe he would never find his match.

Still, he kept looking.

Eventually coming across Ryan, he found him fun and interesting. Holding hands while causing havoc to the world. Evan actually liked Ryan, maybe he found his match?

He believed so, especially on that fateful day.

Evan never felt so alive, the adrenaline, the thrill, the love of seeing Ryan shaking at scenes of death.

Most people would be mortified of what they saw their partner do. Ryan surely was, staring at the stiff body on the ground. Killed by his own hands. Evan wondered what he was thinking at that moment. Despite Ryan actions, Evan never felt his love intensify in such a way before. To love someone even in the acts of murder. The thoughts of someone going so far for him.

Isn't that so romantic?

It ignited something in him,

the desire for love that burns.

That will eat him alive.

Overwhelming love that drags him to the abyss as he drowns in it.

Ryan was not the person who will give him that. No, he was a coward. He squirms and snaps at Evan due to stress. Evan realize if the situation a bit different.

He wouldn't protect him.

He wouldn't love him, like he did.

No, Ryan would throw him out. As easy as he pointed fingers at others to save himself.

It honestly disgusted him, truly.

Just as soon as he starts loving him and admiring him, he starts to lose interest. Just like the rest. H hated him for giving him a taste of truly loving someone.

But Evan has one thing he could be grateful for Ryan.

He gave him an idea, to how to get his perfect love.

While walking at the campus, he sees Ryan doing his usual shtick. Evan found the most perfect clay, ready to shape to his desires. Cowering under Ryan was a meek little Milo, in tattered jacket. Milo reminds Evan of a cute tiny rabbit. He couldn't help but to smile.

This is just perfect.

If his perfect love doesn't exist.

He's just gotta mold one to existence.

Evan is delusional (if you can't tell) he loves of the idea of someone, not the actual person. He loves the thought someone doing extreme acts as sign of love, and believes that's normal. (basically like Eris, except I'm sure Eris is actually self aware)

#2 is Family Gets Nicknames which is a short lil angst fic about Quinn taking Angel & Tank/Darlin' not being able to do anything about it. Technically it's unfinished but I wouldn't expect an update

#3 is The Stars Are Gone Now. It is my FAVOURITE AND YOU ALL ARE COWARDS FOR NOT LIKING IT/J. It's about Imp!Vega's death and Pet's grief. I love it more than life itself but it's pretty heavy and a lesser beloved pairing so I understand why it's not super popular.

Stars are gone now. Hands down. Pets stuck in Vega's room with no idea what's going on during the rebellion. The only solace they have is the lights on the ceiling which relieve them that Vega is still alive... until he's not. (family get's nickames is kinda sad too but it was written to be more panicky. I write a lot of angst because it helps me deal with my 🌟feelings🌟)

7 -What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Mates' Night Out!!! It ends with everybody being fine and Baabe being super sexy n cool but I should give a TW for mild violence, sexual harassment and swearing <3

I started writing this AU about Detective!Milo & Thief!Sweetheart that never made it past planning in gdocs but I think it would be cool to finish but I don't think I'll ever get there. There's also this one Playlist plotline I made because I wanted people to be able to see what I was thinking about when I listened to the songs. Making that into a finished fic would be cool but I don't have it in me. If you wanna read it, the link is here.

16 - What are your writing strengths?

I think my descriptions are my strong suit? I feel like my dialogue can be lacking but I feel good about my visualizations of scenes n stuff.

17 - What are your writing weaknesses?

Definitely making anything more than a one shot. I just don't have that level of commitment for something. When I write stuff it's because I'm in the moment and feeling what I'm writing. If I have to sit down and come back to it I lose my mojo.

18 - Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I'd feel way more comfortable doing if I or someone I knew understood/spoke the language. I don't trust google translate for that.

My #1 post of 2022

Y'know, putting aside the potential a-/acephobic reasons, and the "not relying on overused romance tropes/shortcuts" reasons, I think one of the big reasons (that I haven't really seen talked about?) that Good Omens gets accused of queerbaiting is that it's basically the story of an existing relationship. It's not the story of how Aziraphale and Crowley fall in love, or admit that they're in love, or whatever that people tend to expect out of romance stories these days, at least, not in the traditional sense. Yes, technically we get to see their relationship develop and we do get to see them realizing and admitting to themselves that they are in love and that the other loves them back, but that's not really the main focus the way it is in a lot of stories where romance is involved. There's no "will they/won't they" drama, there's no big confession or relationship-affirming kiss or anything, because they've been in a developing relationship for nearly all of 6000 years. That's like, literally what the Arrangement is. It's their relationship, their "basically married", their "involved", their "together but we can't say it outright bc people are watching and also we don't wanna screw it up". And people aren't used to seeing that in stories about relationships (seriously, find me one example of a story where the main, endgame couple is together at the beginning and the plot doesn't revolve entirely around them having issues that they need to work out. Hollywood/the publishing industry is allergic to writing about healthy relationships that stay healthy and in tact and exist after they get together). So when they see Neil Gaiman say "it's a love story" they expect the story of Azi and Crowley falling in love and finally admitting it to themselves and each other and having a big climactic kiss to seal the deal. And when they get a couple who is basically married in everything but name, who have been together for 6000 years but have had to be so so careful and dance around their feelings bc ~bureaucracy~, who don't need a big kiss at the end, just a loving, tender look because they can finally relax and be in love together... it doesn't feel like enough to them. They were so busy looking for the "getting together" plot that isn't really there that they missed the love story that was there. Which is a shame honestly, because it really is an excellent love story. There's enemies to lovers and mutual pining and almost a sort of courtly love situation going on and it's excellent. And people don't see it because it's not what they were looking for.

Hey let's have some potential death battle matchups! And connections.

Legion Yamamoto vs Qrow Branwen

Both individuals are rather crass laid back individuals with bad habits they get over. (Qrow is a recovering alcoholic and Legion used to have a rage problem before coming to the village he now lives in.)

Both used to be part of diffrent groups that went against the people they were part of they are veterans of. (Qrow was part of a nomadic bandit tribe who attended Beacon to learn how to kill huntsman but he's a huntsman. Legion was treated like a living weapon by a group trying to kill demon slayers suprise he became a demon slayer.)

Both hate the authority of their groups. (Qrow with ozpin and ironwood for their actions and how much they kept in the dark. Legion views the slayer corp leaders as incompetent cowards that claim false abilities through mountains of child soilders.)

They HATE their family. (Qrow disowned Raven and calls her out on her failings he also just straight up disowns his family and tribe. Legion meanwhile was poorly treated by his family and after destroying them all he ended up making a cover story and false origin story because of what they did to him.)

Both have powers they can't turn off that effect themselves as well they are the only ones with a power like this (Legions blood art is always on and gives him powers and new body limbs off of what ever he eats. Meanwhile qrows power is misfortune emission. But...he can't control it.)

Both are horribly blunt and honest to everyone about what's going on.

They will straight up fight their allies for their children. (Qrow and ironwood used to be allies and Legion straight up almost took off Sanemei's head once when he heard he stabed nezuko and tried ripping him in two when he though he was going after Milo and Kaito.)

Surprisingly they both don't like killing. (Qrows disgusted by it and Legion only does so if it's justifiable.)

Anarch- Part 1

ONE: THE KING OF THE KNIVES

"Under the watchful glare of mosaic saints, the floor was a lake of blood." Well, that's a hell of a first sentence.

"Damogaur Olort oversaw the work, hands behind his back, barking orders to his sonpack. Sons of Sek brought the captives in one by one." Oh, the villains are slaughtering people. Again.

"The chamber was the inner precinct of the Basilica of Kiodrus on Sadimay Island. A holy place. That it had been transmuted into a hell was too much for most of the prisoners to bear." And they're desecrating holy places. As per usual, for Chaos.

"Olort tried to look encouraging. He had unclasped his leather mouth guard so that the captives could see and appreciate the honesty of his smile." Uh, would that help? His smile's probably terrifying.

And, of course, they kill the ones who take the offer to join in exchange for their lives. Because people who do that are cowards and they don't want cowards.

Oh, Mkoll was just taken prisoner. For some reason.

"Nen. He will take the key from you. For the woe is already within you.’" Uh oh. And it has something to do with the Heritor. From all the way back in Necropolis.

TWO: OTHER BUSINESS

It's been three days, more or less, since the end of the last book.

"Which meant interviews, evaluations, isometrics. Gaunt sighed again." Oh, no. Gaunt's stuck doing actual political work.

"‘You’re not Tanith any more, Ibram,’ Grizmund had said with a sad smile. ‘Your line days are over. Oh, the Tanith will remain in your purview, but the scale has changed.’" :(

"The Scions flanked him at all times, two in front, two behind. If he stayed aware of the heels of the men in front of him, Gaunt could speed-read data-slates as he strode along, confident that Sancto and his men would steer him around corners, avoid obstacles, and open doors without him even having to look up." That's one way to do it. You just need four highly trained bodyguards to do it.

"The trouble was, it was heartbreaking." ;_;

"Daur shrugged. ‘The son of the great hero of Vervunhive stands to advance faster than any daughter? I don’t know, to be honest. Verghast was always damned patriarchal. There’s an issue of honour here, primogeniture, succession. Shame.’" I still feel like this is a massive retcon. The patriarchal bit, I mean.

I am annoyed that Saint Sabbat is on the planet and there's no indication of Milo being around. Perhaps he'll show up in this book?

Normally Doom would be touched by the idea of her friends standing up for her. Hell, nobody in her life ever stood up for her. She was always left to fend for herself. Why else did she end up dead and in the condition she's in now?

But... that's also precisely why she's rubbed the wrong way by it. She doesn't need anybody to stand up for her. She can defend herself. Not to mention, she asked for Dr. Horrible's help.

"Hey, ah, Milo, let's simmer down a bit there, bro. Don't need you going and getting a stroke or anything, man," she says, resisting the harsher comments she would have delivered to anybody else only because Milo is her friend and she cares about him. "Look, Dr. H here comes highly recommended by another good friend of mine, all right? I wouldn't just be like, putting my death in his hands all willy nilly, ahahaha."

Good friend is a term she uses kind of loosely here. She doesn't know if Rex, said good friend, is actually a good friend or not. To her he's a good friend, but she has no idea if the sentiment is returned, but still, close enough. Point is, she trusts Dr. Horrible enough to go through with this.

"Plus," she continues, "he and I have an agreement. He gets to help me, and I get to help him. It's an equal exchange built of equal trust, annnnd maybe a little bit of equal risk on both our parts. It's gonna be okay, though, I promise."

While she is explaining all this, Dr. Horrible is kinda sorta somewhat maybe hiding behind her a little bit. He doesn't want to seem like a coward - because he isn't - but he trusts her a lot more right now than he trusts those other two guys. He's been beaten up enough in his life and he doesn't feel like being roughed up anymore right now.

"Oh, I damn well can, you slimy little worm." Milo spat. This guy just rubbed him the wrong way. He could just tell this guy had an ulterior motive, and it probably was nothing good. There was that old saying about smelling a rat. Well, to Milo, this guy smelled like a whole colony of rats, and he eyed the man like a hawk watches a rabbit, waiting to swoop in for a kill.

"There's only three people left in this world I care about, and you're wanting to use one of them as your lab rat. I'm not just gonna ignore that happening. So yes, I will be watching. And if she's harmed in any way? I will promise, no planet in this GALAXY will be safe for your ass. My husband here all but destroyed a planet after someone hurt me. And that's nothing compared to the things I can and will do." Somehow, his tiny 5'8" frame was much more intimidating than Rourke's 6'4" hulk. Maybe it was the intense eyes, glaring daggers through his glasses. Or the way he carried himself, much like he had before he kicked Jackson Rourke's ass into next decade. Or maybe just the feeling he gave off that not only was he very capable of the things he said , but he absolutely would do them, there really would be no safe place for the Doctor.

Even Rourke was impressed. So many underestimated Milo, just based on appearance. And that was often their biggest mistake. Milo was in fact a very, very dangerous enemy when he wanted to be.
