benjamin bratt gif pack
And finally, it is done! And the story times aren't going anywhere, on popular demand! I'm really happy with how this pack turned out. I also ended up watching this show, and I wish there were maybe more episodes because everyone's backstories were so much more interesting. But from the reviews, I totally see why Benjamin Bratt was the highlight of this show, I really do. In this pack, you can find 269 gifs of Benjamin Bratt as Parco Delgado in the HBO MAX miniseries DMZ. All of these gifs were capped and coloured by yours truly. Benjamin is Peruvian (Quechua), Sudeten German and English descent , so please be mindful of that when using him as a faceclaim! CONTENT WARNING: bloody nose and bruises, guns and gunfire (I have tried to remove most of those), violence (a beat down), partial nudity (one gif maybe), drinking. TAGGING: @tasksweekly for task 84: PERU Feel free to REBLOG if using this pack, and be mindful of my RULES when using. Also, #FREEPALESTINE!

Lily James and Sebastian Stan Reportedly Cast in Secrets & Wives
Tumblr media
Lily James and Sebastian Stan have reportedly joined the cast of Focus Features’ period film ‘Secrets & Wives.’ The movie, helmed by Carly Wray, is scheduled to start shooting in Atlanta, Georgia, and Vancouver, British Columbia, on an undisclosed date. The film, set in the 1980s rural Washington state, revolves around a single working mother named Sherry, who is swept off her feet by a charismatic, larger-than-life outsider named Martin Lewis. They run off and get married, only for hell to break loose. Sherry’s life gets turned upside down when it’s revealed that Martin is a married ex-gangster.
Lily and Stan are expected to play Sherry and Martin respectively. The two performers previously worked together for Hulu’s biographical series ‘Pam & Tommy,’ in which Lily plays actress and model Pamela Anderson and Stan portrays musician Tommy Lee.
Lily recently completed the filming of Sam Worthington and Riz Ahmed-starrer ‘Relay’ and Joseph Gordon-Levitt-starrer ‘Providence.’ Her upcoming release ‘The Iron Claw,’ starring Zac Efron and ‘The Bear’ fame Jeremy Allen White, is scheduled to be released on December 22, 2023. Her recent credits include Josephine Esperanto in ‘Finally Dawn,’ Zoe Stevenson in ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It?’ Linda Radlett in ‘The Pursuit of Love,’ and Ellie Appleton in ‘Yesterday.’
Stan recently concluded the filming of ‘A Different Man,’ in which he stars alongside Renate Reinsve. He is also a part of the cast of Marvel Studios’ ‘Thunderbolts.’ His recent credits include Vlad Tenev in ‘Dumb Money,’ God in ‘Ghosted,’ Max in ‘Sharper,’ Steve in ‘Fresh,’ Nick Fowler in ‘The 355,’ and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier in ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.’
Although the exact dates of the filming are yet to be announced, we can expect the same to begin after the conclusion of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. Atlanta, known as the Hollywood East, is home to several production facilities and natural attractions. The city previously hosted the production of several famed projects, including ‘The Walking Dead,’ ‘Stranger Things,’ ‘Cobra Kai,’ ‘Ozark,’ ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,’ etc. Vancouver AKA Hollywood North, on the other hand, is a significant filming location of ‘Virgin River,’ ‘Supernatural,’ ‘Criminal Minds,’ ‘The Last of Us,’ and ‘Fear the Walking Dead.’
Wray, who is at the helm, also penned the screenplay. The screenwriter wrote several acclaimed episodes of AMC’s drama series ‘Mad Men.’ She also co-wrote and co-executive produced HBO’s superhero series ‘Watchmen’ and Max’s dystopian series ‘DMZ.’ Her other credits include ‘Westworld,’ ‘Mindhunter,’ ‘The Leftovers,’ ‘The Bastard Executioner,’ and ‘Constantine.’
Berlanti/Schechter Films, New Leaf Literary & Media, and Truly*Adventurous team up with Focus Features for the production of the film. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Michael McGrath, Pouya Shahbazian, Matthew Pearl, and Greg Nichols are the producers.

did you hear about this? they're making an "oldboy" tv show for americans
have you ever thought about how different television is nowadays versus back in 2003 when park chan-wook's oldboy was released? especially when you're talking about high concept television pitches like "a man is forcibly confined to one room for many years and is just as mysteriously released". if you got oldboy'd in 2003 and came back today a lot of this would look completely alien. nowadays we're talking ten episode seasons that last for two to four years, all centering around one or two extremely serialized plotlines with nary a one-off episode in sight. back in 2003 this imaginary show might run for 24 episodes a season and include a bunch of episodes about our hero helping other people who have also gotten oldboy'd. perhaps it would be about a posse of oldboy'd people who are trying to slowly work out why they got oldboy'd in the first place, each with different dark pasts involving different people trying to get revenge on them. do you think they would do the incest twist on american television back then? maybe on HBO
what speaks to americans about oldboy so much that they've remade it a couple times with us in mind? is it the violence? the commentary on incarceration? why do we seek to make this an american story? you don't see us turning joint security area into a toothless buddy comedy about our border with canada, because we understand that a movie about the korean DMZ is probably about korea. so what's up with this one?
as an american, if i were to turn any park chan-wook movie into an episodic tv show it would be decision to leave. each week the police detective would move to a new city with his wife, and each week the femme fatale he can't get over would show up with her new husband in tow. this husband would inevitably wind up dead and the detective would have to figure out how the femme fatale did it so he can help cover it up. rinse and repeat. i mostly think this idea is funny, but there's something about low-continuity episodic television that seems to keep things preserved for longer. she'll never have to bury herself for him if they just keep playing out the cycle for however many seasons they get. after that, who knows what happens. maybe they just wake up and wonder who trapped them for so long

Hello!
Okay, let's type something to prove I'm not dead.
Though I still love the first 2 seasons of The Mandalorian, I've mostly left the Star Wars universe behind as I did the MCU. My elderly self doesn't want to have notecards in the theater or in front of my tv in order to keep track of increasingly bizantine story lines.
So I have invested myself in The Rest of Us and Our Flag Means Death ( HBO - Take My Money!) More OFMD thoughts in the future from an old queer who used to survive on such subtle coding of queer attraction in entertainment that two men sharing the same cigarette was exciting. ( Their lips touched the same filter! I KNOW they're doing it! 🫨)
Also I have expended my scratch cooking repertoire from pickling things to ricotta cheese and bread making. Gotta do something with the milk Mouse(My Spouse) keeps buying. Since Mouse( My Spouse) is the main beneficiary of this, I've picked up a sneaking suspicion that their milk buying has an ulterior motive. 🤨
The Mouse (My Spouse) and I celebrated our 25th anniversary of commitment to each other in the past month. Plus we have known each other for forty five years and were instantly the closest of friends who then took twenty years to get out shit together.
The benefit of knowing someone for so long is they fill in your memory gaps as you age. The problem is they remember every silly, stupid, and embarrassing thing as well. The person who has photos of your fashion choices in 1982 has a lot to talk about.
You also have much more patience with each other's quirks - such as SOMEBODY'S devotion to playing Bob Dylan very loudly versus my devotion to Kabuki music ( I admit it is an aquired taste but studying Kabuki got me through the damn pandemic. Along with explicit non Kabuki fanfic. A03 - Take My Money!) We have compromised and enjoy our fandoms at the opposite ends of our place leaving the dining room DMZ for the cats who flee from the sound of both harmonica and shamisen.
Enough nattering - be well, all who read this. Stay safe in the insanity of the world and I hope you find a smile everyday

Watching Rosario Dawson with a 23 (or 24)-year-old son is a hell of a thing to see.
Suppose she's meant to have been a teen mom, as she'd have to have been in real life if she had a child that age.

GET TO KNOW ME MEME: favourite characters [1/10] - Parco Delgado (DMZ)
You know, I tried to play it civil. But the truth is, I always wanted to sort this out with blood and bone.

DMZ, I wish I could say it was good...
...but it was not. Good acting. terrible script, mismatch editing, production was interesting, but it was struggle to finish. 4 episodes about 1 hour each. If you watch you'll wrack your brain asking your television; "why," "how," and mostly "what"?
Doesn't even follow the comic book. Just takes a concept from the book and put in all different characters.
