So so I wanted to combined two ideas of what if Eva survives and what if Sparda survived..

(We are under the assumption that Virgil is Dante's older brother of 5-8ish years like OG DMC 1 canon Near identical face/ different age )

The tragedy that separated the Sparta family affected each of its members differently.

Eva was a woman of principle, a umbra witch a woman self-taught of the mystic ways of summoning demons with a monster fcking fetish . She got the demon boy she got the skills her life should have been happily ever after.

Then the damn attack occurred. She would admit it herself she wasn't the best mother.( Who let the kid run around with swords, she probably should have sent them to some sort of school instead of individualized education based off of their interests and needs. They probably should have gotten more experience with friends and other people who would care. ) But damn it all did she love her kids. They were her blessed children.

Eva looking through the ashes of the home. She Was not able Not even find her youngest son. Her eldest she feared was already gone dead. Perished cut down for the simple sake of being a hybrid.

Even her husband was gone.

She was all alone. First time in years. This is when she made her vow to hunt down the infernals of hell and eradicate those who sought to eliminate her family and her. Damn the umbra witch code. They were dead order barely surviving off of Madame Jeanne de Arc. She would look at heaven and Earth and hell for her children but she could not find them.

Not until decades later when they didn't even need her.

Dante the youngest son would struggle everyday to bribe steel and make not only a new identity to get an education but to live and to grow. Eventually he would grow into a famous demon Hunter.

The devil brothers would meet again in a strange Tower. Their ideology opposed to one another

The family would truly meet up and be reunited during

The Qliphoth incident. Sparta could no longer allow such devastation upon the human world. Eva could no longer allow anyone to die of such a ratchet pain.

Been playing dmc 5 and oh my god this game is giving me BRAINWORMS. Okay so, the ending is poopoo garbage but EVERYTHING up to that point was amazing. Healing Neros arm for some reason was kinda dumb and ableist as shit. I feel like I dont need to explain that since the whole game was like, him dealing with the loss of his arm(and Dante) in a mildly unhealthy way by taking revenge on Urizen.

Everything else is GREAT. V is my new favorite character ever. Sadly he most likely wont be showing up again. Nico and Nero are super amazing. Nico being a southern gunsmith is such a specific set of character traits that I love and have explored myself. Nero is just so well written in this game until the very end.

I dont have much to say on Virgil and Dante. Theyre kinda just. There for fan service I feel? Idk i like it but the dante stuff felt a tad forced to me.

Also Nico and Lady should get to together and have weird gun kink sex. Just sayin.

DMC5 Combo Practice w. VIRGIL

so funfact: in one of the earlier v4 asks i mentioned that v4 took the arm of Gibbous. That is based off of what happened in dmc5 where virgil ripped off nero's arm in one swift motion to use as his sword (or v4's splatana in this case) so how would the acht and the rest feel about this?

Acht is just scared. They are horrified that Four actually took Gibbous’s arm off, and they have no idea what to do now. Their main goal is just to get Gibbous medical attention. The agents are just as horrified. At this point they’ve given up on trying to turn Four good again, seeing as they took their son’s arm off. The idols stop thinking this is funny and realize that this is actually a little serious. They’re worried about Gibbous and they just want him to be okay. Four’s family is terrified. They had never imagined Four would actually take Gibbous’s arm off, and that is going way too far for them.

Hey! I hope you're doing well! I've been scrolling the DMC tag for a while and love your writing! That said... I was wondering if I could get Dante and Virgil head canons for the differences between dating them when they're younger like in the first few games vs when they're older like the lar couple of game.ps, I just think it's would be interesting to see how being a relationship with them would change with their age/maturity

DMC3 Dante-

•would smack your ass in public

•would hit on you, no matter where you are

•would appreciate it if you don't shoot him in the head, babe

•would trip you on purpose just to be able to catch you and smirk at you "Heh. Looks like you really fell for me, huh?"

•would pursue you until you fell for his charm, if you didn't immediately

•knows you love when he walks around the office shirtless

DMC3 Vergil-

•would be uncomfortable showing PDA, including hand-holding, so you would more than likely just walk beside each other in public

•would be terrified of getting close to you because of what happened to his mother, so you'd be kept at arm's length

•would be extremely hesitant to trust you for a while, and come off as cold and uncaring, when he simply doesn't know how to love or be loved

•when you did earn his trust, he'd teach you how to wield your own weapon so you're not defenseless against lesser demons

•but good luck getting out of his sight long enough to actually fight anything your own

DMC5 Dante-

•would wear your bra/thong just to mess with you

•would give you your own personal strip tease in the bedroom

•sends you dirty sexts in the middle of the afternoon, just so you have something to look forward to that night

•if he knows you're really busy, especially at work, expect to get nudes

•if you use guns or swords, he falls that much harder for you

•wants you to stay out of the devil hunting business, because it would destroy him if he lost you too

Canon Nero would most likely kick and scream and tell him to fuck off, but I can see him being worn down by the goddamn strangeness of his father’s behaviour and deciding it’s easier to just go along with it than anything else, because it’s the only way to avoid the fight - that his father is also always happy to engage in.

As if these awkward touches and fighting were in his mind something that can just replace communication and bonding. As if that was enough to label them as family. As if that was family in his mind. As if his father was a beautiful, powerful, perfectly poised, and a fucking alien!

And in Vergil’s head it's all going swimmingly - he’s bonding with his son, they are on good terms, they share familial intimacy and test each other’s strength. He’s a genius.
