@rainbowmuses continued from here
She could see the understanding on Carmilla's face. "Been in a similar place yourself?" How lucky they were to be able to have a way to keep their loved ones safe. "I turned Spike that very night and have never looked back." Spike had freed her that very night, even if he didn't truly understand that at the time.

rainbowmuses:
“It’s the one night I feel the most at ease. Not that I need to feel like I belong because I certainly do not. But it is nice to just for one evening forget all about the things I have seen and endured. To just for one fleeting moment be free of all the torment” she mused and then sighed softly. Licking her lips, Carmilla then nodded. “Now that is a shame. No one deserves that kind of treatment. I hope those awful people got the karma they deserved” she grinned.
“The one night the humans don’t hold their awful prejudices.” And it was an easy night to find food as well. Terribly easy to separate a reveller from the crowd, no one would ever notice. “Oh, they certainly did. I drained each one as he watched. Even then I knew that there was nothing I wouldn’t do for them.” From the very start Spike had treated her with more care than she had ever been treated with in her life.

@beinghumcn (carmilla karnstein)
Dru’s head snapped round at the sound of approaching footsteps, eyes seeking out the form in the dark of the alley. “Who’s there?” She called lightly as she stood, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand, the scarlet streak barely visible on her skin in the darkness. “I’d go back the way I cam if I were you, poppet. Didn’t your mummy ever tell you not to approach strangers?”

sunlithope:
“Bifur…well.” Clark does not like to judge, but he would like to meet the parents of Bifur and politely ask them why. Kili’s a friendly fellow; he finds himself answering with a heavy sigh and less reserve than usual. “It’s always magic, or if it’s not it’s worse, it’s fifth dimensional imps.” He nods, scribbling a few notes, but pauses when it comes to the list of names. “That’s - wow, that’s quite a lot of folks from this middle earth.” Bilbo? The place has interesting names. “Hm, but this place is more…general than that? So far I seem to have found that the places are connected to a few individuals very strongly, usually either the owner or someone who goes there very often. But this place seems to be different - would you agree? Oh, and can I get you anything - a refill?” He’s noticed a waiter passing by.
Kili couldn’t help but laugh at that. “Fifth dimensional imps? What the hell are those.” His head shook, a grin spreading wide across his face. “You’ve gotta be pulling my leg with that, mate. Magic I’m used to, but imps? Why, that sounds like something from a story my mum would tell my brother and I when we were kids.” He nodded, his expression bright. “We’re very lucky to have all found one another. Some of them I knew from before, but others I didn’t meet until we all ended up here.” Kili shrugged. “It’s general to me. Some of the others might have a stronger connection to it than I do. Pippin would probably have some answers for you, the guy’s full of stories.” He was glad to have met the hobbit. Perhaps if he had lived, his path would have crossed with Pippin’s eventually. “Another beer would be great, actually.”

"You think its pretty? I don't understand where my eyebrows grow..." The demon's face was something that was a mystery to her. "That they are. But we like them stupid... makes them more fun to play with, I think."
She was listening to what Drusilla is saying and when her face changed, she couldn't help the beaming smile that formed on her own. "Oh that is beautiful" she said, letting out a sigh before brushing her fingers down Drusilla's cheek. "Humans truly are too stupid for their own good";

"That's why some people who know of the supernatural think we don't do anything. Because the humans do so much they think we have a night off. But... at least then they don't suspect anything if we do, and it's easier to blend in." With a smirk her features shifted, eye glowing yellow. "I always get told that my prosthetics are very good. Little do they know..."
"Oh but of course, my dear" she said, nudging her gently. "Oh anyone who subscribed to the idea that Halloween must be a relaxing evening are truly delusional. It's Halloween for crying out loud. Do people not know the long history of what that holiday means for different people?"

"Exactly... although we should be shaving some of the red for ourselves." She winked at the other vampire. "And with halloween rapidly approaching... I've never been much of one to care about the whole 'halloween is the one night you don't cause trouble'."
Laughing as well, she just looked at Drusilla with a fond smile on her face. "That we have and now we can finally paint this town red side by side"

"Travelling the world, sampling all it has to offer, dear." She laughed, hooking her arm through the other vampire's. "But we've found one another now. Here's to causing chaos."
"Oh where have you been all my life?" Carmilla teased the other vampire, taking her hand into her own and squeezing it.

"There's nothing wrong with causing a little bit of trouble. All the best people do." She grinned. "Well... unless it's humans causing trouble for us."
"Having dreams was something that always got me into trouble. But then again I have always been a bit of a black sheep, a trouble maker"

"It's nice to have dreams." She replied, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Even if they are foolish ones."
"Ah yes the fountain of youth. What a load of shit that is and yet people still believe that such a thing exists. Sometimes I forget just how stupid mortals can be"

"We're old but few of us look our age." She shrugged. "For centuries humans have been looking for the fountain of youth, but they don't possess what you need in order to find it."
"Maybe it's the fact that we are so old that people find romantic. Or the mysterious air around us. Not that I find vampires all that mysterious" she chuckled.

"How are we supposed to strike fear in the hearts of humans if we live as they do?" Her head shook. "For years our kind told stories of fear, now they like to write romances about us."
"Sadly it seems like vampires nowadays want to be humble and kind. I quite like when a vampire knows their own worth and doesn't settle for second best" she nodded. "Well hopefully my path will cross with one of those like minded vampires"

Dru couldn't help but laugh. "I am one of a kind, my partner would quite agree with you there. But as they say, birds of a feather flock together." And she and Spike were certainly birds of a feather. "I'd like to think that the like-minded vampires out way the pretenders."
"I can't deny the fact that it feels good to know that there are other like-minded vampires in this town, I would have gone mad if I had been the only one" she said. "But I bet that none of them are quite like you"

"I have a good friend Victoria. None of this woe is me, I'm cursed act with her. Or her mate. There's also a girl called Claudia. I believe that some of her family is here also, but I haven't been introduced."
"Proper vampires? Have you met some of them?" maybe she should get outside of the little bubbles she had been in. It would be nice to meet like-minded vampires.

"Know thy enemy, and there's entirely too many pathetic vampires here. More of them than us." She grimaced. "But there's a few here worth your time, proper vampires."
"I couldn't agree more" she nodded. "But enough chit chat about pathetic vampires. Let's do something or at least change the subject"

"They can't deny themselves forever. There comes a time when the dam breaks." That was the nature of being a vampire. You couldn't run from instinct forever.
"What a shame indeed to give up something so beautiful just so they can be perceived as pathetic mortals" she said, scrunching up her nose in disgust. If that's how they wanted to live their lives then so be it. Carmilla would just have to stay far away from them.
