While I loved the plotline of Ui being the victim of the week, that feels like something that should have come much later at a much more important beat (maybe a 4th of the way through the show), after we’ve gotten to know more about who she is, how her youtube channel’s doing, and how she fits in with the core team.

At this stage of the show, she’s only seen two incidents and the knights have beaten the monsters both times. And she was on full genki energy the whole way through in the last 2 eps. Let us see more of her loneliness and need for attention (and her actual youtube channel), so we know what the villains are exploiting, and give her a reason to doubt that her friends can save her before having her immediately go for the most drastic option.

I don't know why but my biggest pet peeve is when subs translate Sentai as Squad instead of Squadron. It just sounds so weird. Like Dinosaur Squad Zyuranger doesn't have the same feel as Dinosaur Squadron Zyuranger.

yeah im not a huge fan of “____ squad”, and squadron has a particular military feel that doesn’t jive well with most teams. like, blitzkrieg squadron changeman sounds fine bc they’re literally a military team, but starbeast squadron gingaman? kinda feels off to me

personally i prefer when groups translate the team’s designation but leave sentai alone, like “dinoknight sentai ryusoulger”. squad and squadron aren’t Wrong tl choices obviously, they just bug me sometimes in the same that stuff like “masked rider decade” does. although i do occasionally like when sub groups stretch the definition a bit to match the theme of the show, like “magical family magiranger” and “special ops cell go-busters”

Fire Force (Last: 1): Rekka and Shinra's battle was mostly even but Rekka's stamina required backup. But before they could extract any info, Rekka was eliminated by the big bad's goons.

Vinland Saga (Last: 2): The attack on London was stymied by Thorkell, a fellow viking who joined the English to fight a stronger opponent. Thorfinn was lucky to escape their duel alive.

Astra: Lost in Space (Last: 4): The kids discovered that they were all clones of their "parents", who intended to use memory-transfer technology to be reborn. But they're their own family now.

Mix: Meisei Story (Last: 5): A duel began between Mita and Tou. Sou's expert game-calling kept it scoreless since Mita was able to overpower the Meisei lineup with few moments of weakness.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (Last: 3): Nezuko proved that she could resist human blood, so she and Tanjiro were whisked away to Shinobu's mansion to join the others in the infirmary.

Kochuoki: Young Nobunaga (Last: 7): Nobukatsu was pushed to action but his hired thugs were no match for Nobunaga's loyal troops. But big bro remained merciful, against his retainers' wishes.

Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files (Last: 6): Adashino's deductions mark Karabo as the suspect and an appraisal of his mystic eyes seems to confirm it. Naturally, EM2 still has doubts.

Dinoknight Sentai Ryusoulger (Last: NR): Canalo thought a wife had found him, but she was just using him so she could pursue her real dream. But at least he learned a new art, Salmon Fist.

Kyshiryu Sentai Ryusoulger, episode 3 thoughts

We have a lot to get into. Okay, so if you kill the human the Minusaur was created from the Minusaur dies. Makes sense but didn’t think of that, maybe my mind’s not that dark, OH MY GOD, I just had an epiphany what if Minusaurs are created from the Ryusoulgers, they’d be really powerful and great enemies for later in the series. Okay, I’m calling it now this will happen!

So, Towa and Bamba are kinda jerks(lol). I thought I was gonna love Towa, his personality seemed so fun in Super Sentai Strongest Battle, but I don’t like him. He made fun of Asuna, Melto, and Koh calling them weak, and was way too happy go lucky about killing Ui. Bamba was more stoic, so him being like this was less unlike but Towa upbeat personality mixed with his treatments of others didn’t make him look good. And just to be petty, Towa and Bamba were talking smack when they don’t even have their Dinokinghts, just saying.

[Exhales] Whoo, Ui tried to commit suicide, what?! Ui saying goodbye to her dad was really sad, and when she talked with Asuna I thought she was gonna say looks after my dad. She didn’t, which is good, I don’t think my heart could’ve taken it. The Minusaur kept saying look, so i assumed it had to do with Ui wanting people to look at her videos. Asuna said the Minusaur was born out of Ui’s loneliness and need of attention, which makes her reaction to Asuna and Koh saying she’s their friend make more sense, her dad even said last episode never brought friends home(except once in middle school.

Now to Melto and Triken there wasn’t much, Melto offended him by treating like an object not a sentient being. Melto gave up on trying to make amends but then made a speech and Triken realized he could trust him, the end. It was fine, you needed someone not to have a great start with their Dinoknight, and it adds some depth to their relationship.

Also, I wonder where are Towa and Bamba’s masters, in the opening they’re crying like the others when they lost their masters. Are they masters dead, or will they die? Also, Also, I assume their masters taught them the whole ”sacrifice one for the many” thing. Just came up with this, what if Towa and Bamba are like this because they had to kill their masters to stop Minusaurs.

One last thing where’s the guy who met up with Towa and Bamba at the end of last episode?

This is really long, I’ll just end with all and all this is my favorite so far. I’m very curious to see where we go from here. Que Bom!!!

Watched Ryusoulger episode two

And sweet gosh the fights. From the fencing of the small scale battle, to the struggle against the full sized Minusaur. Props for showing just how hard it is to fight a giant monster without a Dinoknight. Really shows why they need them, and it also gave the Ryusoulger a chance to show off their abilities and teamwork as they tried to weaken the Minusaur without the aid of a giant robot. As always when the Dinoknight was able to fight the battle was incredible, the agility on display was great. Props to the fight choreographers, from the Sentai fighting the Minusaur to their Dinoknight’s turns it was good.

Also sweet gosh Kreon’s ability is distressing.

Já venho há algum tempo com a ideia de fazer os MINIRANGERS dos Ryusoulger, que tantos me pediram inbox e que finalmente consegui parar para fazer. Então, sem mais delongas, minha versão/ visão do "Bravo cavaleiro, Ryusoul Red!" Mais uma vez voltamos com os Mini dinos, mas como precisa haver uma diferença entre esta equipe e aqueles do Mighty Morphin que fiz, estes dinossauros vêm equipados com proteção metálica sobre ele, nos moldes medievais de Ryusoulger! :D Confesso que ainda não tinha parado para assistir, mas graças ao Danilo do @tokudoc resolvi dar uma chance e até que estou curtindo... Eae, gostaram do novo mini? Levo adiante os outros, ou paramos por aqui?
