Ancient DNA analysis reveals dingoes have been in Australia for 1000s of years
The canines are related to dogs and wolves from China, not domestic dogs, new study suggests.
The modern-day dingo is descended from ancient dogs and wolves from China and the Tibetan Plateau and not to dogs domestic to the Australian continent, researchers behind a new study report. Using 42 ancient DNA samples from dingo bone and teeth remains housed in museums and excavated from caves and other sites, researchers date the arrival of the iconic canines in Australia through Pacific traders to between 3000 and 8000 years ago...

I thought Lienda was going to have this dramatic arc with that girl but she's just kind of doing nothing. You promised me lesbians and drama. Kragek isn't even a slut
They should put a massive disclaimer over my head that says 'PRE-#160 ECHIDNA CONTENT IS LOOSELY USED AS FLAVOURING FOR THE GOOD STUFF'
--ALSO I AM SO SO SO SORRY if any of you are getting into the echidna lore because of me. Please know that everything I put out about them is cherry-picked and built upon and 70% fanon springboarding off of it
#It's not even a 'so bad it's good' read half of the time.#I mean-- I have a lot of soft spots for most of it! It's just funny. silly. goofy.#but then you've got two fascist regimes playing out and nazi imagery so thick that you've got dingoes lining echidnas against the wall.#F'ing Benedict doing the nazi salute to a crowd of echidna doing the same. Chanting 'heil Dimitri!'#--Did at any point in your brain you think 'hey this is really really insensitive to put in the SONIC THE HEDGEHOG comics'?#It's like - I can forgive some things. It was the 90's. Who wasn't using nazi imagery. But it was SO much more than nazi imagery.#Suddenly we've got 'yeah the dingoes are fascist because they're born stupid and war hungry. unlike us genetically superior echidnas'#... What? WHAT? UHH. THERE IS SO MUCH WRONG WITH THIS.#Also I reiterate. ECHIDNAS LINED UP AGAINST THE WALL BY A DINGO FIRING SQUAD. NAZI SALUTES. Whaaaaaaat the fuck were you THINKING#-ahem-#don't read the KTE comics unless you're ready to hold your head in your hands and nurse a headache

The number of times I see people being like "oh my cat is longhaired, they're probably a Maine Coon!" or "oh my cat is blue, they must be a Russian Blue!" ....sorry, those are normal genetic variations in cats. Your average cat on the street is not any kind of purebred, or even mixed breed. They are just a domestic mix that can have a wild mix of genes.
Random dogs on the street are often mixed breeds. Because dogs have been bred for purpose a lot more than cats have, and also aren't typically allowed to run free, so in most Western countries we don't have a "generic non-breed dog" running loose. (They do have those in some parts of the world, they're called pariah dogs, they tend toward dingo-form, they're pretty cool. But mostly you don't find those unless you're seeking them out.) YOU DON'T GET THAT WITH CATS.
Very rarely, you can find a purebred or mixed-purebred cat on the street. I did that once. Her name was Morrigan, she was surely part Oriental, I adored her. But that doesn't happen often, I found Morrigan in a weird situation where I think someone's purebred cat got loose or abandoned and fucked an absurd number of very rare kittens into existence in that neighborhood. Most of the time, your random cats are just cats. They don't have to be part of a breed to be special. Most cats are not. October is my daemon, and she is just an ordinary tortoiseshell barn cat that I got for free off Craigslist.

Yonnyâs dialogue on base:
Now we can finally go home whenever we want to. Although, Iâd reaaally like to stay here a little longer. Thereâs still so much research to be done!
Hmm, looking at its genetic makeup, it seems as if yeh Ancient Sirehound could be the ancestor of the space dog. Over many generations, they for smaller and smaller until they reached the size of Oatchi and Moss. Just how old is that Ancient Sirehound, I wonder? I wish it could tell me its secret to long life, eheheh.
I wish I come bring a Lumiknoll back with us, buuut François from ten research task force insists it canât be done. Imagine all the fascinating things I could do if I could mass-produce more medicine!
If a Glow Pikmin gets eaten by a creature, it becomes a speck of light and vanishes. But that deviant mean itâs dead and gone! That speck of light gets absorbed by a Lumiknoll, and itâs reborn into a Glow Pikmin again. So when Glow Pikmin get eaten, donât bother shedding a tear, eheheh!
We know glow sap breaks down leaves, and it also has remarkable healing effects. Buuut if a non-leafified individual takes the medicine, those healing benefits are virtually nonexistent. Perhaps next time you find someone badly injured, I should try turning them into a leaf person to heal them, eheheh.
You know Russ, right? Heâs always getting injured in the most interesting ways. One time, he managed to scorch his face soot-black while standing ankle deep in a frozen puddle. Never a dull moment, eheheh.
By nightfall, the bodies of creature left during the day have disappeared. I wonder who or what is cleaning them up? Also, yes creatures attacking at night are different somehow. And no matter how many you defeat, more keep coming. We donât yet understand the world of night on this planet. There are still many secrets waiting to be uncoveredâŚ
You know Bernard? It might surprise you to learn that heâs actually one of the pickiest eaters I know. We even have a separate section in our food storage just for him. A lot of absurdly expensive special-order items. Itâs a bit over the top. Then again, as a doctor, I believe he should eat well, sooo I have mixed feelings on the subject.
About Koppaites⌠It apparatâs theyâre capable of tolerating oxygenâŚbuuut only in small quantities. Just how small is âsmallâ though? I wonder if one would let me conduct a few experimentsâŚfor posterity.
Do you gave time it discuss glow sap? Iâm curious how it affects those who drink large quantities of the substance. Even someone who has no tolerance for oxygen, like that Hocotation, can suddenly tolerate the gas in small amounts. Oxygenâs toxic for us too, but I wonderâŚWhat would a tiny portion of glow sap do to Dingo? Iâll just leave it out on this tableâŚ

The Star Trek Saga No One Wanted đ Pt. 1
Okay, ya'll these guys have been in the making since like ...... 2017? When I first started watching ST:TOS. I finally refined them and will be refining fics me and my friends made to post on AO3. There are 4 of these bitches. Ylva, Gaius, Selene, and Kyle. Selene and Kyle are being refined but I got the main two players!
Ylva is a species I created so her character sheet will be the longest.
P.S. All the art is from my friend or some janky character creating site that technically no longer exists.
[Next - Part 2]
The Goodest Girl, Ylva
Her handlers finally letting her touch grass and she could not be happier
Planet: Canina (Kaw-knee-nah)
Species: Cani (Kay-eye)Â
Biology: Anthropomorphic, dog-like carnivores, bipedal, with canine features, such as short faces, triangular ears situated higher on the head, large eyes, fangs, claws, and a tail. They are entirely covered in a smooth coat with silky hair on the scalp like humanoids. Coat and hair color are dependent on the sub-species that the individual is most genetically related to. Wolves, coyotes, jackals, and wild dogs such as dholes, and dingoes make up the original gene pool.      Â
However, breeding based on genetic compatibility has resulted in a varied appearance. Cani have claws on their hands and feet. The feet are in a digitigrade configuration. Some prefer going without footwear. Their claws and fangs can be used combatively. Cani also make a variety of dog-like barks, growls, and howls. Cani females experience the need to mate once a year, though breeding is not limited to these times. They possess a heightened sense of hearing, sight, and smell.Â
Culture: Cani are considered less civilized due to their unwillingness to have contact with other civilizations despite having the technology to do so. However, they do make use of their smaller moon, WeiĂ (vise). This is where the Standing Council serves as an oligarchy to their socialist government. They practice isolationism since anything outside of Canina is a threat to their society. While xenophobic, they do not claim to be superior beings but aim for self-preservation.Â
The Standing Councilâs main responsibility is to approve of pairings. Canina scientists run a DNA analysis of every individual at the age of maturity. Mating pairs are determined by combining the best genetic matches. Psychological evaluations are also conducted as an adolescent and again when they are selected for pairing. Temperament and personality traits are highly heritable, so this also factors into their eugenics. Upon being bonded, it is customary that the male relocates to their mateâs region and family.Â
The intense selection process has created a hearty population nearly devoid of disease, lameness and has increased strength. It has even extended life expectancy and aging. Every 1.5 Earth years are equivalent to 1 year of age for Cani. They usually live around 115-120 years (equal to 76-80 mental/physical).
If an individual happens to fail testing, then they are presented to the Standing Council and offered to be sterilized and relocated to anomaly designated regions or to displace. If sterilization is chosen, the individuals act as laborers and farm deer-like creatures called Cervuses (ser-va-seas). Far more anomalies have occurred than the Standing Council admits to the population, but less than 10 instances of exile have occurred in over a century. The Standing Council are the only individuals to possess access to interstellar communication. If a Cani chooses to explant themselves, they will contact a nearby space station to arrange transport.Â
Behaviors: When Cani greet mates, itâs common to nuzzle their head under the other's jaw. Growling and teeth baring are akin to cursing. Placing their left foot in front of their right, with hands behind their back, and perking their ears is a sign of respect. They literally have their best foot forward; the stomach is exposed to show vulnerability, and they are actively listening. Â
Families do have a strong attachment, especially siblings. However, rejection is common if a member behaves in a way that is averse to social expectation (i.e. being an anomaly).
Ylva (eel-va)
Life on Canina - Ylva is the eldest of her familyâs children at around 31 years of age, mentally/physically that lines up to about 21 years. As an adolescent, Ylva had scored unfavorably on the psychological evaluation as an adult, she had passed the genetic testing but again, failed the psychological tests. Deeply upset that her family rejects, she opted for exile.Â
Once transplanted to a space station, Ylva learned of the Federation and their diversity.
Despite Caninaâs lack of outside connections, they had an advanced knowledge of genetics and sociology. Ylva scored decently on her entrance exams, and due to her minority status, was admitted to Starfleet Academy. The lack of education in other cultures and species, drove her to the eight-year major of xenoanthropology.
Four years were in a classroom setting, solely focused on studying cultures and communication methods. Four more years are required, split up into two years for two different residency studies. Because the academy was on Earth, Ylva spent two years studying humans. There had been a rare opportunity to study Romulans in the single embassy of the Romulan Star Empire, located in the neutral zone on Nimbus III. After graduation, all potential on-ship cultural experts and diplomats must intern for one year with the Federation Diplomatic Corps (FDC). There they work to provide cultural outreach to Federation citizens abroad.
Ylva is called by the FDC during her internship to assist in resolving a conflict between the Romulan Star Empire and Federation. Her residency on Nimbus III allowed her contact with Romulans in a non-militant setting. Once there Ylva met with the Praetor, Gaius (guy-s).Â
Throughout the negotiations, Gaius had been purposely difficult. Ylva, eventually, in an aggressive public display, calls him out on his deliberate attempts to prevent a peaceful treaty. The Federation is horrified at Ylvaâs misrepresentation and force her to sit out the rest of the meetings. Gaius, however, is intrigued by her outburst and never having encountered a cani. To the Federationâs surprise, the Praetor requests to negotiate with Ylva privately. After a three-day stalemate, the Praetor establish the terms of their agreement with Ylva. The Praetorâs willing to remove his armada from the neutral zone and resume the original boundaries, if Ylva will enter a Trust Bond.Â
Gaius explains he had been wanting to establish a better form of communication between the Romulan Empire and the Federation, but it was not in Romulan nature to be passive. Ylva, being a diplomat and one of the few to observe and understand Romulans, would make exchanges smoother. As Trust Bonds are considered a three-way marriage between the two partners and The Empire, she would be able to safely work between the two parties. He, of course, is lying. It would be very transactional, with official paperwork as to the conditions of the marriage.Â
The Federation is desperate to have some peace with the Romulan Star Empire and with her explicit consent, the conference establishes the responsibilities of each party. Gaius has agreed to keep Romulan warships out of the neutral zones. Ylva agrees to be at the Praetorâs disposal for any situation regarding the Empire and Federation. Her job is not to create a peace treaty, but to prevent aggression.Â
Gaius arranges for them to go to Romulus where a so'rdaz (s-oh ur, dahz) is performed. The ceremony involves a type of mind-meld, which is when Ylva discovers Gaiusâ true intentions and motives.
5 Year Mission - Upon graduation Ylva is assigned to the U.S.S Enterprise, as Lieutenant Ylva, Cultural Expert and On-Board Diplomat. Diplomacy is a type of communication and therefore falls under operations, so Ylva wears a red dress uniform. Her direct supervisor is Lieutenant Uhura who heads the communication division, then Lt. Commander Scott who oversees all departments in operations, followed by Commander Spock and Captain Kirk.Â
Ylva has a strong adherence to the chain of command. However, she frequently teases her equals. Her training in neutrality has allowed her to make friends easily due to her unbiased nature. She takes her position very seriously and places that as the highest priority.
It is typical that any planet landing outside of Federation territory requires a brief medical evaluation post contact to ensure the crewsâ health. Typically, the nurses perform this, but due to Ylvaâs rare species, a doctor must personally attend to it. Ylva is deathly afraid of medbay and anything to do with medical procedures. This makes McCoyâs job difficult only getting her to comply by pulling rank and it is a struggle to get the most basic procedures done.Â
Fun Fact -Â During her first years on Earth, someone had derogatorily given her dog treats. Not knowing the implication, she gratefully accepted and they are now her favorite snack.

question, out of genuine curiosity- has there ever been a recorded case of hybridization between wolves and dingoes? if not, what traits would likely be present in a mid-content hybrid?
Oooooo, not that I know of! To be honest, I don't know much about dingoes besides basic info. They are an interest of mine, but not something that I've really investigated.
Genetically I THINK it's possible, since dingoes and dogs can breed, and wolves can breed with dogs, so chromosomally it makes sense, but I don't know enough to give a good guess on what a hybrid would be like. I do have a friend I can ask, so I'll talk to them and see what I can learn :) Maybe someone reading this has more info too? Either way, sorry I couldn't be of more assistance!

I knew I wanted to make these guys dingoes, but I'm on the fence about the other dogs - considering making someone a thylacine.
I didn't want standard weapons for the Guard - though I did give Lesser Dog a 'sword' and a gumleaf-shaped shield because they felt like a distinctive part of their original design. Greater Dog gets a lasso because farming is such a big part of Australia's Outback interior, and I'm thinking Snowdin is going to be dry bushland. Maybe Greater Dog rounds up brumbies for the Guard. Who knows?
Also yes, yes! I hear you! I will get to Muffet! One of my friends had a genius idea regarding her shop, so I'm carefully considering how to design it. I'm also still writing, which is my prioirty, though I'm currently banging my head against a wall with it.
All my Down Under designs!
Undyne
Alphys
Muffet
Toriel
Bird That Carries You
And yes, you can get white dingoes (that aren't albino)! Dingoes actually come in a huge variety of colours and markings, and it's been problematic because farmers - like my own aunt - have been shooting what they thought were wild dogs killing their animals, because before UNSW's study on dingo genetics came out, pure-bred dingoes were thought to be functionally extinct on the mainland. Turns out dingoes aren't always tan coloured, but can actually look a lot like dogs.
My aunt has livestock guardian dogs now, and hasn't had problems since, from dingoes at least. They don't come onto the property anymore. The maremmas have been amazing.

As much as our vision of the wolf had altered, just a few minutes after the tennis ball incident it shifted once again, thanks to Chase, our then-yearling blue heeler. We had two mild-mannered, beautifully behaved Labs. Then there was Chase. Heelers (officially known as Australian cattle dogs, not to be confused with Australian shepherds) can be, well, problematic. Engineered from wild dingoes mixed with livestock dogs just a century ago and recognized by the AKC in the 1960s, theyâre a new breed, with plenty of variation. The most difficult examples wear their feral hearts on their sleeves without apology. No matter how close an average dogâs genetic ties to wolves, heelers, by dint of their dingo heritage, and just a few generations separating them from life in the wild, take it to another level. The official breed description includes the phrase âa suspicious glint in the eye,â and the AKC National Specialty show for Australian cattle dogs includes a contest in which dogs are judged for having the âmost ancestralâ physical traitsâwhich leads to musings about inner, lupine remnants as well. Without doubt, many heelers are affable companions, and theyâre a wonderful, dynamic breed. But throw a few too many of those ancestral traits into the mix and you get a dog with issues.
Chase was one of thoseâa work in progress on a good day, a train wreck on the worst. Weâd worked on her from when weâd gotten her at eight weeks. Though hideously bright, quick to learn tricks and all sorts of complex behaviors (how many dogs do you know who, when asked âWhoâs been good?â sit up on their haunches and raise a single paw, and on command, put their toys away one by one in a basket?), we hadnât yet been able to corral her borderline-psychotic tendency to rush unknown dogs with a reactive, teeth-bared charge. In her mind, Iâm sure she was defending us from impending onslaught. Any canine, from a Boston terrier to a Great Dane, that came too close would get the same bumâs rush. Chase, despite her blustery façade, usually ended up in abject retreat when the objects of her attack took exceptionânot that it stopped her the next time. Sure, sheâd grow three-quarters out of it eventually, but keeping our miscreant teenage mutt leashed under those circumstances was a given. No self-respecting wolf could be expected to put up with her guff.
A Wolf Called Romeo (2014), Nick Jans.
I wasn't expecting a heeler to pop up in this book, and Jans' comments on Chase amuse the hell out of me: for one thing, those dingo crosses date back more accurately to the 1950s and were made by show breeders, and for another, the blustery asshole aggression displayed is almost certainly a consequence of the dogs' selection as cattle dogs, not anything that can be laid at the feet of the dingo. A dingo has more sense than that.
Nevertheless, even if Jans has uncritically accepted the historically dubious party line on heeler ancestry, his portrait of Chase is immediately recognizable. In the context of the book, she's about to slip her leash and charge the eponymous wolf Romeo, which the author correctly views as an incredibly dangerous accident for her: even another dog would be fairly justified in reacting incredibly poorly to her. Instead, the wolf pins her for a moment, then sends her racing back to her humans drenched in spit but perfectly unharmed.
I am reminded intensely of an instance in a dog park I saw as a child, in which my six month old pointer rushed a Rottweiler in a similar way, and I similarly went "ohno-ohno-ohno" and braced for the much larger dog to do my dog some fairly justified damage... and that dog simply hip-checked her and sent her spinning into the dust, confused and outraged. Better not to let that happen in the first place, and today I would certainly intervene well before that point, but I've never quite lost my profound gratitude for that dog's calm choice and grace under fire.

More lurkerian presentation labels bc masculine, feminine and skunk's binary rejectiveness alone doesn't do it for me when it comes to the lurkerian labels bc I'm boring and I fit all of the original three labels personally and still end up outside of it. Also â¨multiple choices and combinationsâ¨
Lemur: neutrality
Genet: femininity & rejective
Civet: rejective & neutrality
Grison: rejective & masculinity
Marten: Masc & neutral
Mink: fem & neutral
Ferret: fem & rejective & neutral
Weasel: masc & rejective & neutral
Dingo: Fem & masc & rejective
Jungle cat: Femininity & masculinity & neutrality
Culpeo: femininity & masculinity
Canidae, felidae and mustelidae families used for combos, and also lemurs as the "odd one out" for purely neutrality that was originally on the og list.

HBO War Daemon AU Masterlist
Rising from the grave in this fandom to share all my way too many thoughts about war boys (and girls) and their daemons. Daemon AUs are my absolute favorite trope and Iâve spent way too much time bothering my wife with thoughts about what everyone would have and how it would work to fight a war with all these soul critters tagging along for the ride, so here they are! Will add links as I finish write ups.
BAND OF BROTHERS
Dick Winters - Australian Shepherd
Lewis Nixon - Nebelung Cat
Ron Speirs - Peregrine Falcon
Carwood Lipton - North American Beaver

David Webster - Eurasian Red Squirrel
Herbert Sobel - Mute Swan
Buck Compton - Angora Goat
Bill Guarnere - Ethiopian Wolf
Joe Toye - Dingo
Bull Randleman - St. Bernard
Johnny Martin - Olive Baboon
Don Malarkey - Carrion Crow
Skip Muck - Western Jackdaw
Shifty Powers - Tawny Frogmouth
Frank Perconte - Chihuahua
Chuck Grant - Siberian Husky
Shifty Powers - Tawny Frogmouth
Albert Blithe - Riverine Rabbit
Renee Lemaire - Sand Cat

Sid Phillips - Crab Eating Fox
John Basilone - German Shepherd
Lena Riggi - Ocelot
I can also do requests or give advice if youâre looking for picks for guys I havenât gotten to yet or any other characters you might be interested in finding a daemon for! But full disclosure, your best bet for inspiration is always using the analyses at the Daemon Forum as a jumping off point, because those folks are A+ at interpreting animal behavior in fun and reasonable ways. No âowls are very wise, all wolves do best on their ownâ there!

The Color Wheel Challenge with Sonic characters using my redesigns!
One with shading and lightning, one with only shading, one with only lightning, and one without either.
And if you're wondering who orange and green characters are, they are my OCs, Venice the Mink (Orange) and Ashura the Dingo (Green).
Venice the Mink was the guardian the Master Quartz, the Order / Sol Dimension's Master Emerald equivalent, but left their duty to one of their siblings. They have Faunakinesis specifically Terrestriakinesis, manipulation of land animals and they love wolves.
Ashura is the result of the Ultimate Lifeform Project. They were made to cure aging and to advance regenerative capabilities and evolution through shapeshifting. Ashura was genetically modified to become an organ donor, meaning that they could regenerate and duplicate any organ with ease. They cannot feel pain and are able to remove extra organs from their own body by themselves. Ashura can replicate the internal and external body parts of any species, human, mobian, or otherwise. They also have O Negative blood type. They have minor Biokinesis and major ChĂĄokinesis.

Hello ! I just went down a long rabbithole on your blog and it is fascinating, i love learning from people passionate who know about their subject ! :D
I saw a post in august 2022 where you werent sure what define a specie, and as a biologist i'm happy to help !
A specie, commonly, is "a group of animals who could have a fertile child together, and who could meet in nature". (for example polar bear and grizzly can have a fertile kid but they dont live near eachother). Then it gets incredibly muddled, lot of debate happen, and it's not even getting into bacterial species, but that is the crux of it.
And, biology fun fact : the specie "dog" is a wolf ! It's just the domesticated form of it, like pigs are the domesticated form of hogs. It's like, if you only took the pigeons with the bluest feathers, the roundest eyes and the shortest beaks, and only made them reproduce eachother, then only took the children with the most pronounced characteristics and bred them, and so on and so on until you have, in like 50 years, a pen filled exclusively with blue birds with big round eyes and short beaks (and maybe a weird characteristic you didnt intend to have but is somehow genetically linked, like for example, now half your birds have super vibrant orange feet even tho you didnt ask for it). And you name your birds the "Pigey" and everyone want to have one in their home.
The pigey are still pigeons, and the two could breed together. It's just a sub-group of pigeons who lost the genetic variation pigeons have in nature : they lost normal genes for, say, feather coloration, and now exclusively have only one, pushed to the extreme.
It's the same with dogs ! They are a sub-group of wolfs, they are both the specie Canis Lupus ! And "dogs who went wild again", like dingos, are the same specie. (Arctic wolves are also the same specie i think)
Orher Canis species include Canis rufus (red wolf), Canis simensis (Ethiopian wolf), about five or ten others, and then Canis letrans, the coyote ! It can fully breed with wolves, but since coyotes live in plains and wolves in forests, plus the fact they both live in packs and are fairly territorials, they usually dont meet. The same goes with Canis aureus (golden jackal).
Now: if you kept your pigeys separate on an island, with no contact with pigeons, for thousands and thousands of years, they could start to change so much that they would become too weird to breed with natural pigeons : for example, their genitals stop being compatibles with normal pigeons, or their mating rituals would put off pigeons, or more often, they become genetically incompatible (they could loose or gain some chromosomes so they no longer have the same number as normal pigeons). They would then be different species ! In fact that's how species tend to form :D Wolves and dogs are not different enought yet !
I hope i didnt bore you with all this biology, and have a great day !
Hey there! Donât worry, you didnât bore me, I love hearing people get excited about stuff!
I think I remember which post your talking about, and I think my answer to the ask was a bit similar to what you said though I was hesitant to get too into the definition because I know thereâs some controversy on what defines a species (plus general biology isnât my strong suit, as I tend to stick with canines). And then thereâs the whole chromosomal difference (like how foxes and wolves canât breed because the number of chromosomes they have is too far off) that comes into play and Iâm like ???.
And yeah, Arctic wolves are indeed a subspecies of gray wolf. I also saw an article somewhere (maybe on the IWC site) describing how it was a possibility that dogs may not be directly descended from wolves like we thought as the possible second domestication of dogs comes into play, but Iâd have to fact check it. All in all, very cool and I could read about canines all day if you canât tell.
#I remember hearing a very similar example to what you explained in an old class of mine#and then everything clicked and I was like oooooooh#that makes sense#I love genetics and theyâre so cool but some of them I wouldnât touch with a ten foot pole#snake genetics? thereâs so much I just get overwhelmed#ask
