A Guide to Selecting the Perfect Bridal Earrings
While the wedding gown is the centre piece of your bridal look, bridal jewelry, especially earrings, and engagement rings in Houston, TX adds the finishing touches, showcasing your unique style and personality.
Investing in a timeless piece of fine jewelry over fast fashion adds sentimental value, creating a keepsake you can cherish forever and even pass down as an heirloom.
The ideal wedding earrings should complement your dress and add sparkle without being overpowering. Comfort is key, so consider pieces that work well with your hairstyle and stay comfortable through hours of celebration.
Whether you’re aiming for a classic, modern, or bohemian vibe, there’s an earring style to suit every look.
Popular Bridal Earring Styles
When it comes to diamond earrings in Houston, TX, here are some classic styles to consider:
Stud Earrings
Perfect for a minimalist look, studs sit snugly on the earlobe with no dangling. They’re simple, versatile, and effortlessly chic, often featuring gemstones like diamonds or pearls.
Drop Earrings
Drop earrings offer a subtle touch, extending just below the earlobe without movement. They often include a gemstone or charm, making them an elegant choice for brides wanting understated elegance.
Dangle Earrings
Longer than drop earrings, dangles bring a touch of flair, with their slender designs and slight movement. They’re ideal if you’re after a more eye-catching look with a bit of sparkle.
Chandelier Earrings
For a truly glamorous feel, chandelier earrings cascade from the earlobe in an intricate design. Their formal, elaborate style adds a sophisticated touch perfect for upscale weddings and pairs beautifully with men’s wedding rings in Houston, TX.
Final Thoughts
When choosing bridal earrings, consider matching metals for a cohesive look, or mix for a more personalized style. Whatever you choose, the right earrings will add that final touch, helping you look and feel unforgettable on your wedding day.

so i kinda got this idea. it's more than likely going to the backburner for a while (i have got to finish the stuff i already started) anyway, i came across this post that was adorable af (some screenshots below)
brain said 'huh. what if a young Eddie wants to take young Evan on a date? and then gets shamed for it. because of course he does. and then Eddie has to work through all his crap as an adult so he can then ask Buck on a date?' so i'm dumping what i have under the cut. mwah!
Eddie sits on the end of his parent’s bed, kicking his bare feet in time with a song only he can hear. He can’t remember the name, only the basic rhythm that his music teacher, Ms. Hughes, taught them.
Tap Tap Thump! Tap Tap Thump!
The wooden footboard is starting to bother his heels, turning them a faint red, but he continues tap-thumping along, not ready to stop just yet. It keeps him busy while his mama gets ready for a night out with Papa.
“What do you think, Eddito?” She asks, meeting his gaze in her vanity mirror.
She holds up two different earrings. One is tiny, barely visible between her fingers except for the way it sparkles in the light. The other is bigger, in a sort of loop shape with a jade stone at the bottom that matches her green dress. He thinks she looks pretty with both of them, but he remembers his dad boasting about the tiny one being a real diamond. Eddie’s not sure what that means. It seems important though if the way Papa looked was any indication.
Papa was so proud when he gave them to her after his last business trip, practically beaming. Mama wasn’t quite as pleased. Not like she was when Eddie and Sophia gave her the jade pair for Christmas. Maybe she was just tired that day? She usually is when Papa goes away for work.
“The sparkly ones,” he tells her confidently. If Papa knows Eddie helped choose them for tonight, maybe it’ll help him earn some extra time for catch tomorrow.
Eddie’s been extra helpful this week, helping Mama look after Sophia, setting the table, and dusting around the house before his dad came back from Houston. Hopefully Mama will mention that, too. He might only be nine but he’s getting bigger all the time (Abuela tells him so) and can do a lot more things than his little sister.
“Thank you, mijo.” She tucks her long hair behind her ears so she can put the earrings in.
He rearranges himself on the bed so he’s on his belly with elbows bent, chin resting on his open palms. His feet automatically restart their rhythmic drumming.
Mama picks a lipstick and carefully swipes the brilliant red across her lips. She pinches them together a few times before she’s satisfied, swapping the small tube for a square container and something that looks like a funny, fluffy paint brush. He watches her swirl the brush and lift it to her cheeks, tinting them a dusky pink.
“Where are you and Papa going?”
“Out for dinner at a nice restaurant. Maybe some dancing.”
“Why?” He asks, not particularly sure why he suddenly wants to know. Tia Pepa is babysitting tonight, which means a bowl of ice cream neither of them will ever admit to while they watch telenovelas.
“He’s been traveling and it’s a nice way to celebrate when he comes home.”
“Because, Edmundo.” Papa glides through the doorway, like he was waiting for the perfect moment, stopping to stand behind Mama. “You’ll figure this out when you’re older, but date nights are key to keeping everyone happy. Especially your mother.”
He tilts her chin up, leaning down for a kiss. Gross.
“Ramon,” she scolds. “Now I have to fix my lipstick.”
Papa sighs playfully. He turns to Eddie, shrugging as if to ask what are you going to do?
“So a date is just going out to a fancy restaurant? For no reason?” Eddie muses aloud. The whole thing sounds a little boring and undeserving of a special title.
“It can be,” Mama says. “Or it can be some other activity. People go out just because and for meaningful days, too, like an anniversary or birthday. As long as you’re with someone special, it can be whatever you decide.”
Oh. Well that changes things.
“Like laser tag and pizza?”
“Sure,” Papa answers with a chuckle while he digs through a dresser drawer.
An idea begins to form in his brain. His best friend in the whole world, Evan, is moving at the end of the summer, just weeks away. Evan and his sister, Maddie, have lived next door as long as he can remember. He and Eddie do everything together. Other than his family, there’s nobody more special than Evan.

NEON NATURE TOUR: FASHION CREDITS
Step into the neon-lit enchantment of Marina's "Neon Nature" Tour, which debuted on October 12, 2015, in Houston. Celebrating her third studio album, "Froot," Marina graced the cyber garden-inspired stage in collaboration with stylist Soki Mak and a handful emerging designers. Join us on a brief, yet dazzling, exploration of the tour's wardrobe—a kaleidoscope of avant-garde fashion and futuristic flair that left audiences spellbound.
The first set of looks were designed by Paula Knorr, who created two of Marina’s fuchsia, lavender & red lamé looks which were inspired by body movement and the interaction between the material and the female shape.
The Piers Atkinson reign just won't let up! M debuted several custom-made headpieces on stage, including a purple version of his Mega Diamond Ears headband.
With the first look, Marina wore the Emmanuelle wine-red leather pointed-toe pumps with eye-catching pink mink tail from Malone Souliers’ Fall/Winter 2015 collection.
The second look naturally met a more bolder choice. These stunners are Kat Maconie's Paulina metallic red leather platform pumps.
Another designer that hopped on is LA-based Michael Costello, who appeared on the eighth season of Project Runway and the first season of Project Runway All Stars!
"Designing for Marina and the Neon Nature Tour was a great experience. My team met with Marina for an initial fitting and we discussed sketches and fabric options. We wanted something colourful and full of sequins so it could shine on stage. We knew we wanted a cape to go along with the jumpsuit to give Marina that extra flair that she is known for when she performs." Michael said.
Of course, Piers Atkinson also created a custom blue sparkly version of his Hyper Cherries headpiece for the tour.
Bristol-based fashion label Burnt Soul custom-made around 7 different catsuits for our girl to wear!
Designer Robyn Lythe said: "To start with, we put the Froot album to catch the right feel for the designs. We wanted to incorporate the expression of her lyrics with the glitzy electro pop side of Froot. One of Marina‘s fashion icons is Elizabeth Taylor and so we used her as inspiration to create figure flattering hour glass shapes in our cut. More than anything we wanted to capture Marina‘s personality. We added floating georgette fabric sleeves and glittering neon colourful bodies to give her the comic book sass and electric look she‘s famous for. The most "Marina" part of our designs were probably the sleeves. We never work with anything but lycra but we wanted to add something a little softer that would add movement on stage. Marina is so feminine with so much strength and attitude and we thought the combination of the two fabrics were perfectly her."
These looks were crowned with the custom Piers Atkinson “Froot” laser-cut plexi headband (similar design pictured above).
For her Lollapalooza performance in Chile, she combined her pink catsuit with these Delalle Demilune oversized studded round cat-eye sunglasses!
A pair of BEBO chunky silver glittery platform sandals completed the look.
Costume designer Austin Louis Perry was in charge for the "Electra Heart" act costumes!
"Working with Marina and her team was such an excleine experience. To start off with I met with Soki Mak to brainstorm the key features of the show. As a fan of Marina’s music I immediately wanted to design for the "Electra Heart" section of the show. Soki and Marina gave me 5 words as a brief; „Sassy, 70’s, pink glitter rock star“. I then used key reference points trom pop acts like Cher, ABBA and Boney M. The next stage involved meeting Marina and presenting my ideas (which she was so excited about) and from there on we discussed colour options and fabric choices. Seeing how excited Marina was when trying on my designs at the first fitting was just incredible. She loved the capes and the fabrics looked amazing together. Personalty my favorite outfit was the pink glitter catsuit with the heart cut-outs. Seeing fans reactions to the Neon Nature wardrobe on social media and the personal comments and E-mails I‘ve received have been overwhelming. It has been such an incredible journey."
The final two custom looks come from Greek couture house Celia Kritharioti! First one is a gold sequined co-ord set featuring plunging V-neck with nude mesh overlay, while the second set comprises a lavender sequin bustier and matching flared trousers.
And for the final ending of this post, here's the deets to the eyelashes our girl's been wearing throughout the show! Make up artist Colby Smith used the Love Addict mink lashes by Artémes!
He also used products by Make Up For Ever, M·A·C Cosmetics, Armani Beauty, Charlotte Tilbury, Madina Milano and Anastasia Beverly Hills.

KNOCK IT OFF: Jackie's pink suit in Big D
Kennedy took image, organization seriously
First lady’s wardrobe list for fateful 1963 Texas visit reveals her preparation for appearances
Jacqueline Kennedy’s recently resurfaced packing list for the fateful autumn trip to Texas she took with her then-husband, President John F. Kennedy, contains plenty of interest for fashion historians. In the margins of the weekend’s itinerary, which she had written out for her personal assistant, the first lady scheduled the visit outfit by outfit. For the day of Nov. 21, 1963, her look would be head-to-toe Chanel: a white coat, skirt and blouse, with a black hat atop her head and a gold-and-navy bracelet on her wrist (“safety pin,” she wrote underneath, perhaps in reference to its clasp).
In the evening, she would don a black velvet dress with satin shoes and white kid gloves. And of course, the jewelry had been considered: pearls with a diamond bracelet and earrings.
Kennedy was not one to leave room for surprises. But even the best-laid plans can change.
The gloves, for one, surfaced on her descent from Air Force One in Houston, paired with the daytime Chanel suit. If she wore the bracelet, it went unseen. And the days that followed would stray much further from the first lady’s notes.
Her bloodstained pink Chanel suit tells more acutely than any other image the story of what happened in Dallas on Friday, Nov. 22.
But the notes she prepared for her personal assistant, Providencia Paredes, read as stage directions for a weekend of political theater and a catalog of the wardrobe that made her the most fashionable first lady of the 20th century, referenced by her successors to this day. Kennedy was best known, during her time in the White House, for the uniform of her public appearances: the tailored skirt suits, shift dresses, layered pearls, white gloves and pillbox hats photographed around the world.
But her leisure wear — the equestrian gear, swimsuits and cotton summer clothes immortalized in photos of family trips — also became a part of her visual imprint.
Many of those signature items were penciled into the itinerary for the Texas trip, including suits and dresses in summery shades of yellow, blue and green, and riding clothes for an appointment at Lyndon B. Johnson’s ranch on Nov. 23.
There are many mentions in her notes of Oleg Cassini, the designer who became Kennedy’s personal dressmaker in 1961: a green wool suit (“for Mex not used”), a white crepe coat, a short pink crepe dress, a long mauve one, an orange coat and dress (“silk — worn in Udaipur, India — on lake”).
Another favorite of the first lady, Gustave Tassell, appears on the packing list for a baby blue dress that Kennedy also wore in India.
Her detailed lists, many of which make reference to past manifestations of the dresses, are a view into the mind of a woman who took both image and organization very seriously. Stacey Bredhoff, the curator of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston, described Kennedy as a “meticulous planner” who concerned herself with every detail of ceremonial events: the guest lists, the menus, the seating arrangements, the flowers and of course the clothes.
The museums collection contains 95 of her dresses, including the white Chanel suit she wore on Nov. 21 and the orange silk Cassini dress from the state visit to India.
“We don’t have everything that she wore as first lady,” said James Wagner, the Kennedy museum’s exhibit specialist, “but our understanding is that once she left the White House, as far as we can tell, things that she wore at public events or during official travels, she set those aside and didn’t wear them again after 1963 with the intent that she would deed them to the library for our collection and for potential display in our museum.”
Some of the first lady’s best-known garments reside in and around the federal capital.
The pink suit is being kept under climate-controlled wraps outside of Washington by the National Archives and Records Administration, barred from public view until 2103. Kennedy’s inauguration dress, by Ethel Frankau of Bergdorf Goodman under her direction, is kept at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.
In 2003, Paredes and Mary B. Gallagher, the first lady’s personal secretary, consigned together a number of Kennedy items.
Those that sold included some of Kennedy’s squaretoe leather shoes, her nightgowns and sleep bonnets, and cotton summer dresses, which had not been kept in the best condition.
It’s one of the reasons so many of her archived items are seldom seen.
“One thing about the dresses is that they are very fragile, and the best thing you can do to take care of them is to keep them stored in a cool, dark place,” Bredhoff said. “So we’re very careful about how much time they can be out on display, exposed to the light and so on.” In their thoughtful, organized detail, though, the notes from the Texas trip might say more about the first lady than the clothes ever could. Bonnie Wertheim, The New York Times
Chez Ninon worked with Chanel in an agreement known as "Line for Line" it was Chanel's true pattern, Chanel fabric and trim- actually from Rue Cambon- so It was as Chanel as one could get without going to Paris- Balenciaga did something similar with his Eisa line sold in Spai

How to Wear a Claddagh Ring: Traditional Irish Rules
While you’ve likely seen or heard about a Claddagh ring, you may not know what this unique-looking piece of jewelry is. In Ireland, Claddagh rings, are wedding rings and feature a circular gold or silver band with two hands holding a heart.
These wedding bands in Houston, TX are typically worn as a friendship, engagement, or wedding ring. Claddagh rings are steeped in rich history and culture and if you’re considering choosing one of these pieces, then here’s all that you need to know about them.
How to wear a Claddagh ring
Claddagh Diamond Earrings In Houston, TX were worn to symbolize the marital status of a person. If the ring was worn on the left hand with the heart facing inward, you were married. If the heart faced away from you, you were engaged.
The beauty of this ring is that it can double as both an engagement and wedding ring. These rings are ideal for brides who are looking for something traditional and soulful that offers a sentimental feel.
In this tradition, the groom would first propose this ring, which could feature Diamond Engagement Rings In Houston, TX, and other gemstones. You could then shop for a more modern piece if you like and keep this ring as an heirloom piece.
Just keep in mind that as per tradition, it is bad luck to buy your own ring. It must be given to you by a partner, a friend, or even passed down in the family to the eldest daughter as an heirloom piece.
Final Verdict
If you’re thinking of incorporating these Irish wedding rings into your ceremony, then there are some traditions you can follow. Couples usually have a Celtic hand-fasting ceremony where they can exchange rings. You can then remove it and have it blessed by the officiant.

Caring for your yellow diamond is quite simple and you can just take your ring to a professional jeweler to clean, repair and maintain it so that it looks new and shiny for years to come. Also, avoid wearing your yellow diamond while cleaning, cooking, gardening, swimming, showering, or heading out for any activities as it can scratch your metal and ruin your gemstone.

Pros & Cons of White Gold Vs. Platinum Rings: A Comprehensive Guide
Your engagement ring is not only a symbol of your love but perfectly matches your style as well. When it comes to choosing a ring, you need to look for lab grown diamond earrings in Houston, TX that represent your style and lifestyle needs.
Since you plan on wearing this ring forever, it’s important to choose something that you love. Selecting a metal hue is largely a personal choice. Nonetheless, here are some tips to help you choose between platinum and white gold rings.
The Differences Between Platinum and White Gold
There are several characteristics that differentiate platinum lab grown diamond jewelry in Houston, TX from white gold. White gold is lighter than platinum giving it an easier and more wearable feel.
While white gold has been a hot trend for decades, many brides prefer platinum as it offers a luster and shine unlike any other. Platinum is tough, hypoallergenic, and can easily weather daily wear and tear. It doesn’t need to be re-plated like white gold.
When you buy loose lab grown diamonds in Houston to go with platinum, remember that your platinum band will never turn or corrode and keep its shade for years to come. This makes it perfect for brides who are active, outgoing, or work a lot with their hands.
Platinum maybe a tad more expensive than white gold, however, it is well worth the investment.
The Bottom Line
When it comes to investing in a ring, always work with a professional who can create something beautiful for you. If you are considering white gold, make sure that you have no jewelry allergies to nickel.
While white gold is lighter and more affordable, platinum can take on daily wear and tear and requires less to no maintenance, making it a popular choice among brides.

How to Check if a Diamond is Loose – Before it's too Late!
You love your new diamond ring and the way it shines in the light. Your diamond ring is a huge investment and the last thing you want is for your center stone to come loose and fall out.
Certain accidents can happen or even if your ring is poorly made the setting can come loose over time causing your gemstone to fall out.
While ring insurance can cover your loose diamonds in Houston, TX, here are some tips to keep in mind to check your ring from time to time so that you can tell if your diamond is loose.
Tips to check your diamond ring
If your diamond custom jewelry in Houston, TX is a classic four or six-prong setting, you simply take the edge of your fingernail and try to move the gemstone back and forth. If it doesn’t move easily then it’s likely secure.
For a channel or a bezel setting take a pin and try to press on the further corner of your diamond and see if it moves. Make sure you don’t aggressively push it as this can loosen your diamond and cause it to fall out.
You can even bring the ring close to your ear and gently shake it and see if you can hear any rattling sounds. If the ring does rattle, immediately take it off and store it safely away until you can get it to a professional jeweler.
Most local professionals that deal with gold buying in Houston, TX will tell you that when it comes to checking your side stones you need to be extra careful as these stones don’t have a lot of metal holding them into place.
In Summary
To lower the risk of your gemstone coming loose and falling out, make sure you get your ring professionally checked every couple of months so that your jeweler can tighten the setting and secure the gemstone.
