the conflict between being immensely frustrated that pokemon dlc in general just seems to throw as many new characters at u as possible so they can keep being like 'look at this! look at this new thing! new content!' insted of actually expanding the themes and characters we actually give a shit about, and being relieved that because of those dumbass decsions, i never feel the urge to buy them

If it's anything other than a raccoon, she'll sniff at and investigate it, and only act hostile if hostility is show first

can i ask for a little advice from the arena of time veterans out here. i finally got doomknight because i didn't see myself beating alz'ein (or most of the other bosses for that matter) with my regular setup but i feel like i'm dying MORE if anything </3 also the shield ability needing -100 health resistance to increase avoidance and reflect damage the way it's intended to? is it remotely possible to get anywhere near -100 health resistance? the largest single item bonus i've come across was -14 health and iirc there's a trinket that confers -25? but that still comes to less than half...trying to tank ire of the enemy with a shield working at less-than-half capacity is not doing it for me ;_;

So in case you were wondering, sequence breaking by jumping that cliff and avoiding the school means: no Titans spawn, the gyms say ‘Welcome to X Gym’ and then the dialogue box just goes away, and the team fight areas aren’t interactable at all and just make a plink sound when you try to click on the bell that makes the minimap flicker. And I don’t know if picnic areas are super rare, if you spawn them yourself or whatever, but the only picnic tables I’ve found have been with the people who give you ingredients.

Funnily enough, the level 50 terastylized Leafeon I found at the top of the glitch cliff right at the beginning is still the strongest Pokemon I’ve found, and I had to walk all the way to Area 6 to find a Pokemon Center (which has level 40’s).

Can’t be arsed to put this on reddit, loads of people must have done it, it was so obvious and easy, the game practically begs you to go up that cliff and try and fight the Pokemon on the other side of the gap.

There’s no obvious speedrunning applicability. You get to run around where I assume the Titans will be without them there which I guess could be cool, but there’s nothing else to do in those locations. Normal Pokemon spawn so maybe you could do a slightly glitchy Professor Oak’s Challenge - made more difficult because you can’t ride Koraidon yet, make sandwiches (afaik), or whatever. But it’d be super niche, and you could self impose those restrictions anyway.

I've missed seeing my friends deadname for like 2 years, then in the space of a week it's in a youtube video and I find a pokemon of hers with her deadname as the trainer. This is wild because it's a super uncommon Slavic name, and I've never played Pokemon with her.
