I am once again pushing my “being made of burning wax is not a Desolation thing, it’s a Cult of the Lightless Flame thing” agenda.

Anyway, Jason Todd is a fucking earthquake. It’s there in the trembling of his hands, not like fear but like barely restrained violence. It’s there his potential, building up over months or years of friction & pressure, until something has to give. It’s there in his desire to shake the world to its very foundations, to force it to change, to rip down the old if that’s what it takes to make a better place for the new. That’s not to say there’s no heat to him; there’s magma under his skin, and ruptured gas mains are to be expected when you rip a whole city up by its roots.
