mutant file (logan howlett x fem!oc)
name: michaela isabella fiore
alias: natura
day of birth: june 22nd, 1968 (32 in X Men 1)
height: 5'6
category: mutant (alpha level)
abilities: chlorokinesis, toxikinesis, toxic immunity, genius
residence: xavier school for gifted youngsters
occupation: doctor and biology teacher
affliction: x-men (since 1990)
state: alive
history
"early life"
Michaela Isabella Fiore, born on 22 June 1968, daughter of Paul and Francesca Fiore in the borough of Brooklyn, New York. Both are children of first-generation Italian immigrants to the United States. Working class, they ran a flower shop in North Brooklyn. Currently retired.
The first mutant gene samples are demonstrated in a biology class during primary school. According to the teacher's reports, during an experiment where students were asked to grow a bean in a beaker, Fiore's plant grew "abnormally". Other school reports state that, during high school, girls who were picking on Michaela reported to the teacher that Fiore had planted manure in her lockers. It was never proven.
Michaela continued her studies and was awarded one of the Xavier Scholarships for Gifted and Talented Youth at New York University, where she graduated with a major in Botanical Biology and Toxicology and a minor in Genetics, where she met Sara Kinney. She later obtained her PhD at Oxford, with a thesis on assisted mutation in various plants for medical purposes.
"xavier school for gifted youngsters and X Men"
Since her doctorate at Oxford in 1990, Michaela Fiore has been a registered biology teacher at Xavier School for gifted youngsters. She is also a member of the X Men team, along with Scott Summer alias Cyclops, Jean Grey alias Marvel Girl, Ororo Munroe alias Storm, Kurt Wagner alias Nightclawer and Hank McCoy alias Beast.
However, Fiore's work is more oriented towards laboratory work and the development of new ways to treat the injured mutants who come to the school.
Some field missions are recorded. Despite little hand-to-hand training, Fiore's skills allow her to get the upper hand in a ranged fight.
During the 2000s, the X Men had several clashes with the notorious ex-terrorist Magneto and his Brotherhood of Mutants. As well as battles against the government against the Mutant Registration Act and the "Mutation Cure". Both Dr. Fiore and Dr. Grey advocated against both of these in Congress.
During this time, new members join the X-Men: Remy LeBeau aka Gambit, Anna Marie aka Rogue, Piotr "Peter" Nikolaievitch Rasputin aka Colossus, Robert Louis "Bobby" Drake aka Ice-Man, Katherine Anne "Kitty" Pryde aka Shadowcat and Logan Howlett aka Wolverine.

ONE SHOTS SET AFTER DAYS OF FUTURE PAST
Currently, the X Men grouping is still unleashed by Scott Summers aka Cyclops, Ororo Munroe aka Storm and Logan Howlett aka Wolverine. Michaela Fiore does not take part in the field missions and shares the position of deputy director with Dr. Jean Grey.
The Sentinel menace was stopped in 1973 by a mutant named Mystique, who saved the president from Magneto.
currently, 2024 (nobody's dead, we're all happy and forgetting the timeline, FUCK TVA)
The school remains the same as it has been all these years, but the threats don't stop. Recently, records came in about a trafficking of mutant children being experimented on by an illegal organisation on the Mexican border.
The X Men are working on it at the moment.
character analysis
Michaela is a kind and optimistic person. Over the years she has gained more experience and control over her powers, which makes her a confident person. At first she was reluctant to be introduced to the X-Men, but her colleagues convinced her.
She spends much of her time in the underground lab at X-Mansion, alongside Jean Grey and, on occasion, Hank McCoy.
Her first encounter with Logan, aka Wolverine, was not a pleasant one. The mutant awoke from his coma (induced by the Professor) altered and confused, so he attacked Michaela and scarred her back with his claws. Michaela, in response, put him to sleep with chloroform, until the Professor arrived.
The two slowly, slowly worked out their differences.
For their personalities clash quite a lot. Logan is a lone wolf, while Michaela is all about teamwork. But according to Cyclops, they're both equally annoying.
Despite appearances, constant bickering and "mutual hatred", there is a pact of respect between the two. They will never say it to each other's faces, but they are very fond of each other. (Everybody knows it, except them).
now some headcannons
The X Men affectionately refer to Michaela as Mickey or Dr. Mickey.
Logan refers to her as "kid".
Mickey refers to him as "old dog".
Mickey wears a necklace with a St. James medal, a legacy from her paternal grandfather Jimmy Fiore.
Mickey doesn't know that Logan's real name is James.
The children shipped their biology teacher and the history teacher (i.e. them).
Michaela was upset after Logan's departure after fighting Magneto.
And when he left again.
And again.
He has commitment issues (no shit).
Apparently he always fixes it when he comes back.
The X Men always party when he comes back, they go to a bar a few miles from the school.
Our girl can't stand alcohol (she's given Logan endless lectures on the problems of alcohol), but on these occasions she has a margarita or two.
Bad idea.
She's a lightweight.
Very funny until she throws up.
Logan always ends up looking after her.
But not without laughing the next morning, delivering her own sermons against her.
Again, children SHIP them.
Bobby tried to lock them in a classroom. It was fun until Logan chased him all over the mansion.
Logan offers to teach Michaela how to fight.
She has improved a lot.
He always ends up in a cold shower.
Sometimes they are found in the kitchen at night, or in the greenhouse or laboratory.
Logan suffers from chronic nightmares, about his past, about Weapon X, PTSD...
Michaela is only used to little or no sleep. She lives in a mansion with hundreds of children, there must always be someone awake.
They do not normally speak at these meetings.
The next morning it's back to normal.
Michaela lives in coffee.
Logan hates coffee.
Logan always makes Michaela coffee.
They will end up together. For sure. But there are bets hanging around.
Even Magneto, in his plastic prison, asks the Professor for updates.
"Any news on...?" "Not that I know of." "For God's sake, Charles! You're a mind reader!"

Pieter Jan van Reysschoot - Portrait of Anne Askham - 1740
Petrus Johannes van Reysschoot or Pieter van Reysschoot (Ghent, 18 January 1702 – Ghent, 22 or 24 February 1772) was a Flemish painter and printmaker who is known for his genre scenes, hunting scenes, landscapes, portraits and Christian religious subjects. He spent a large part of his career in England, which earned him the nickname den Engelschman (‘the Englishman’). In England he painted history and sporting (i.e. hunting) scenes and was a portrait painter working on commissions particularly from the Midlands gentry.
Petrus Johannes van Reysschoot was born in Ghent as the son of Frans and Amelberghe vanden Neste. He was the first painter in a family which would include a large number of painters in the 18th century. He studied in France where he was registered at the Academie Royale in Paris in 1730 and later won a prize.
Between circa 1736 and 1743 the artist resided and worked in England. In England he painted history and sporting (i.e. hunting) scenes. He was also a portrait painter working on commissions particularly from the Midlands gentry. He was later nicknamed "the Englishman" because of this long stay in England. He returned to Ghent on the occasion of the death of his father on 27 February 1737. On 4 April of that year he attended, as godfather, the baptism of his nephew Petrus Norbertus van Reysschoot, who would become a prominent painter and art educator. By that time he must have already have become wealthy as he bought from his seven co-heirs, for the sum of 550 livres, the paternal house called ‘de Maeght van Ghendt’’ in the Overpoortstraat, a property burdened with heavy debts.
On the occasion of the installation of Maria Theresa as Countess of Flanders, the States of Flanders had decided to have four portraits of the sovereign painted which would be displayed under as many dais, two at the Ghent City Hall and in Bruges at the Brugse Vrije and the City Hall. Eleven portraits at three quarters size of these paintings were also made for the deputies of the States. By an act of the States dated 29 January 1744, the entire commission was awarded to Petrus Johannes van Reysschoot who at the time was still in London. Van Reysschoot was said to have promised to return soon to Ghent and begin the work within two months of the act.
After his return to Ghent around 1744 he became a sought after history and portrait painter. The governor of the Southern Netherlands Prince Charles Alexander of Lorraine visited Ghent in September 1752 and participated in the jay-shooting of the local crossbowmen's guild of Saint George. The Prince shot the jay just like his predecessor as governor Isabella had done at the jay-shooting in Brussels of 1615. Van Reysschoot was commissioned to paint a record of this feat that included portraits of the key members of the crossbowmen’s guild. The painting was delivered in 1657 and placed with much pomp in the Guild hall in November of that year. A small-scale version of the composition not including the portraits was created by the Ghent painter Filips Karel Marissal and also placed in the Guild Hall (both works are now in the Ghent City Museum).
Van Reysschoot was among the first protectors of the Ghent Academy of Arts. His nephew Petrus Norbertus van Reysschoot became one of the most distinguished professors of this institution.
The artist died in the house on the Overpoortstraat, which had remained his property, and was buried by the care of the Alexian brothers on 26 February 1772. In the mortuary book held by the brothers, he is registered as an unmarried painter.

Grace Chastity reminds me of Isabella from Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure. Both girls are deeply religious - Isabella wants to become a nun and Grace values her chastity above all else - they both do, actually. When their chastity is threatened, both girls do whatever they must to save it. Grace kills the school bully who gave her lustful thoughts, whilst Isabella lies to the deputy in charge of her city, actively going against her religious beliefs, and pretends to have sex with him when really she’s sent the deputy’s fiancé in her place. Then, at the end of their respective stories, they both hit a new low. Grace goes insane due to the influence of the Lords in Black, casting aside her religion seemingly willingly, whilst Isabella is proposed to by a Duke, the most powerful man in the city who she cannot say no to. This Duke worked with her throughout the play to both save her brother and preserve her chastity, so this betrayal forces Isabella to lose both her chastity and her trust. I just think it’s a cool connection that not many people saw.

"I'm starting to think you don't have your own place Juice" joked Stormie as she walked into the living room where her brother and Juice were sitting playing a video game. "Your always welcome to visit to see for yourself" replied Juice as he shot her a quick smile. "Might have too. Did you two leave me some coffee?" questioned Stormie as she continued into the kitchen. "I made a fresh pot just a few minutes ago" called Half-Sack as he paused the game.
"Why did you " started Juice turning to look at his best friends but stopping catching the look he was getting. "Are you flirting with my sister?" inquired Half-Sack. "Umm" stared Juice unsure what to say. He couldn't deny that he thought Stormie was good looking or that he found her fantastic to be around. There had been light flirting on both parts. "I'm not mad but like she's only been here a couple of months. I want her to feel at home here. She's delicate and I don't want her hurt" stated Half-Sack. Juice nodded before speaking. "I got you man" stated Juice as Stormie came back in to the room and sat next to him on the couch.
*Clubhouse*
"Uncle Tiggy!" screeched Isabella the moment she saw Tig at the bar. Dropping Stormies hand she bolted to the man who chuckled as he picked her up. "How's my little lady? Want an ice cream?" inquired Tig as Stormie shook her head as she made her way to the meeting room the guys called Church where Clay was seated talking with Bobby. "Its ten in the morning Tig" she called over her shoulder. "I didn't hear a no did you" asked Tig as he looked at Isabella who giggled and shook her head. "Ice cream it is" stated Tig loud enough for Stormie to hear before going to the kitchen. Stormie chuckled slightly to herself. If she had learned anything the last month it was that no one could say no to her little girl.
"Hey hun" greeted Bobby as he saw her pause in the doorway. "Sorry to bother you two. I was just wanting to let you know I am ready to start working the bar shifts. I appreciate the opportunity.....it means a lot" explained Stormie her voice cracking slightly with emotion at the end as she met Clays gaze. "Not a problem at all. You and Isabella are family and we look after each other." stated Clay as his face softened and he smiled at her. We will be having a party tomorrow night. Why don't you go stock up today, you can take Juice with you" stated Clay as Bobby got into a safe behind him and pulled out a stack of cash and held it out for her.
"Can do boss" replied Stormie as she took the money and headed out. "Make sure our guest understand she is off limits. Any unwelcome advances could end with death" stated Clay as Bobby nodded making a note to reach out to the other charters later.
*Store*
"Thank you for coming with me" stated Stormie as they walked out of the store heading other suv. "Not a problem" replied Juice as he pushed the heavy cart to the parked car. "Hop in and I can load up" stated Juice as he opened the passenger side door for her. "You sure?" inquired Stormie as she started to pick up a box. "Yes" replied Juice as he playfully smacked her hand making her laugh. "Alright. I just don't want top hear you complaining I made you do all the work" replied Stormie with a smirk as she got in the car.
Juice had just finished putting away the cart when a police cruiser pulled up alongside the SUV. "Fuck" muttered Juice as he saw it was Deputy Hale and started jogging to the car to run interference. "Ortiz. I was just introducing myself to your little friend here. Letting her know to reach out if she sees anything suspicious" explained Hale as he held out a card to Stormie who shook her head keeping her gaze forward. "How kind of you" replied Juice as he stood between the two vehicles. "Have a good day" stated Hale before driving away.
"You good" questioned Juice as he turned to Stormie watching her carefully after he had made sure Hale had left. "Yeah, he just creeped me out" replied Stormie as she turned to meet his gaze. Juice nodded before moving to get into the drivers seat.

The first crime scene in the new season of “True Detective” isn’t that of the seven gnarled, naked bodies we see piled on top of one another in the snow at the end of Episode 1, but of a more mundane violence. A woman tries to flee her physically abusive boyfriend, and he tracks her down at work. This time, he gets walloped, with a metal bucket, by his girlfriend’s co-worker, an older woman. The blow leaves his face a gory mess. The officer who arrives to escort the man off the premises, Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis), asks the girlfriend whether she’ll press charges against her ex; the trooper doesn’t offer him the same choice before putting him in cuffs. The local chief of police, Liz Danvers (Jodie Foster), isn’t exactly complimentary when she later says that Navarro’s “got this thing about women who get hurt.” The arrest feels righteous, but the stench of the man’s menace lingers. Tidy endings are hard to come by, especially once blood has been spilled.
There’s a refusal to separate or elevate sensational brutality from the everyday sort in this latest installment of the HBO anthology drama—a feminist revision of a series best known for its macho poetry and its ogling eye. The show’s creator, Nic Pizzolatto, had his mostly male investigators contend with child murderers and pedophile rings; the QAnon-esque luridness of those crimes haunted the grizzled detectives for decades thereafter. The writer-director Issa López, who has taken over from Pizzolatto as showrunner, moves the action from sunbaked states to the fictional town of Ennis, Alaska, where, as of mid-December, daylight won’t return for several weeks. The uninterrupted Arctic dark lends the season its subtitle, “Night Country,” as well as its wintry, edge-of-civilization atmospherics. Watching the six-part season from under a blanket in California, I couldn’t get warm.
The dead men who form the chilly, Boschian tableau at the pilot’s conclusion are (or were) scientists at a research station on the outskirts of Ennis. With unknown funders and an improbable mission, the facility was shrouded in mystery even before its occupants turned up on the ice with their faces literally frozen in horror. But Navarro is hopeful that their bizarre fate will offer some clues in a homicide case that she and Danvers worked on years earlier—the unsolved murder of a Native woman named Annie Kowtok (Nivi Pedersen), who agitated against the mine that the town relies on for most of its jobs—when Annie’s severed tongue materializes, without explanation, in the scientists’ mess hall.
Here, the “True Detective” formula kicks in: Danvers and Navarro reunite as partners despite their mutual suspicion, and their rocky history eventually threatens their credibility on the new case. Conspiracies, hostile forces, and occult flourishes abound. The universe of the show is one in which the police—even the brilliant ones—are always failing. Danvers has long since reconciled herself to that reality: of the earlier cold case, she says, “This one was never gonna be solved. Ennis killed Annie.” She’s an outsider, unmoved by Navarro’s insistence that a white murder victim wouldn’t have been so readily forgotten. Nor is she particularly sensitive toward her stepdaughter, Leah (Isabella Star LaBlanc), whose newfound embrace of political activism—and of her Native heritage—she considers a needlessly risky attempt at teen-age rebellion. In Danvers’s view, there’s no ridding the world, or even her own squad, of shit-heels and malefactors; there’s only limiting the damage.
Whereas Pizzolatto’s iteration of the show had few female characters of substance, the new season delights in the complexities of its women protagonists. The chief’s no-nonsense veneer allows her to insult her subordinates, including her shiftless deputy Hank (John Hawkes), without it feeling all that personal. But she’s got a maternal side—one that she indulges with Hank’s son, Peter (Finn Bennett), a junior officer—as well as a penchant for affairs with married men that’s made her persona non grata among many women in town.
Foster has spent much of the past decade and a half behind the camera, as a director, but she’s lost none of the cerebral confidence that has underpinned her distinctive sex appeal. It’s no shock that she’s compulsively watchable. It is a pleasant surprise that her nearly unknown co-star is just as compelling, with a refreshingly naturalistic screen presence. Reis, a professional boxer turned actor with cheek piercings where her dimples might be, looks so solid from the neck down that her body is like one long, taut muscle, but her character has a habit of picking fights she’s unlikely to win. Navarro’s volatility masks deep-seated vulnerabilities. Her unstable mother died before sharing Navarro’s Inupiaq name with her, leaving her painfully disconnected from her culture. She lives in fear that her sister, Julia (Aka Niviâna), who’s already been institutionalized once, may slip through the cracks if she continues to resist treatment—and that Julia isn’t the only member of the family who inherited their mother’s hallucinations. Not everyone finds the apparitions the siblings struggle to shake off so unnatural. “Ennis is where the fabric of all things is coming apart at the seams,” Navarro’s friend Rose (Fiona Shaw) says; she routinely sees her deceased lover roaming the tundra. “This is Ennis, man,” another character says simply. “You see people who are gone sometimes. It’s a long fucking night. Even the dead get bored.”
In the prestige-TV era, the police procedural has grasped for cachet through social critique (“The Wire”) or cool vibes (“Fargo”). Some achieve both—“Top of the Lake” is an easy example—but, in less adept hands, the former can feel like homework and the latter a shallow exercise in style. (In the most recent season of “Fargo,” self-serious kitsch and punishing sincerity layered irritation on irritation.) Pizzolatto’s “True Detective,” which last aired five years ago, ran largely on vibes, too, and when sleaze and nihilism couldn’t sustain its overcomplicated plotting, the mysteries sagged.
López has accomplished the uncommon feat of resuscitating a franchise that didn’t deserve saving. She first broke out with “Tigers Are Not Afraid,” a 2017 film that blended human horrors and magical realism, and her season of “True Detective” pulls off the same balancing act. Although Danvers, like the show’s original protagonist (played by Matthew McConaughey), obsesses over “asking the right questions,” López isn’t always interested in furnishing answers, and the series mostly benefits from her willingness to dwell in ambiguity. Are Julia’s visions a by-product of schizophrenia, as her doctors suggest, or rooted in spiritual truth? The matter is never fully litigated. López’s dialogue is more pedestrian than her predecessor’s, but she has an instinct for imagery that’s both genuinely frightening and strangely inviting, amplifying the scripts’ thematic heft. “Night Country” plays with the gendered expectations behind certain TV-cop tropes: it’s Danvers, not Hank, who models self-destructive workaholism for Peter, downing vodka alone and poring over case files before pulling him away from his family on Christmas Eve. The season is similarly probing about the moral authority that can be reflexively assigned to women over men in our fantasies of female vengeance for male aggression. Through it all, meditations on the unknowability of the cosmos are offset by close observations of relationships—however contingent or dysfunctional they may be. By grounding her supernatural whodunnit in more intimate, interpersonal dramas, López transforms “True Detective” from a lot of mystical mumbling into a show with something to say. ♦

hello, i am asking about lesbian angelo please! i have many ideas and i want to hear yours!
hi I’m about to embarrass myself. i am deeply ill about lesbian Angelo. I want to produce measure for measure with lesbian Angelo. Nobody else is allowed to see it because it’s the worst idea I’ve ever had.
okay so pov it’s 1500s Vienna you’re a raging lesbian and also a woman in a position of power and you’re just shoving that shit down. just compressing it. attraction? i don’t know her. I am a legislator. I’m a deputy. angelo is already a Bitch for having power she can’t also be gay. duke puts her in power to scapegoat a woman because he sucks so make her do it
and then she sees isabella and 1. the stakes of ‘that is a nun sworn to chastity’ are exciting to her 2. every repressed thing has nothing to need to be pressed by, she’s at the top of the food chain 3. she already perceives herself as predatory and dangerous because of her lesbianism and because of that stereotype she has no reason to believe of herself as better 4. the suppression of specifically sex and sexual attraction feeding into that previous statement. the vilification of lesbianism and female sexual attraction as something akin to a crime that is actually harmful or dangerous and the way Angelo internalizes that and when she feels the ‘badness’ (lesbianism) she already feels like her sin is too much and that she is inherently a bad person SO she gives in to the stereotype. if your entire self-worth is balanced on complete moral purity the cracks in the foundation are going to pitch you into the centre of the earth.
also it’s relevant to me that I think Angelo perceives Isabella as being morally superior to her when Angelo is legally and societally in a position of power over her, but Isabella is A Nun. And Angelo is really fucking horny about moral purity.
in my ideal staging of the bed trick isabella pretends to be mariana (man) pretending to be isabella so it’s kind of. she sort of makes the decision to go (not that she has freedom of choice). she actually does go because oh god revelation she actually does want to fuck angelo. the other thing is that I see it staged in a way where it is not necessarily clear to the audience that it was Isabella, but Angelo knows. They both know. And then Isabella accuses her of everything, and she says it was Mariana, and what can Angelo do now? She fucked up. Now she has to marry this man. And then the stage clears and Angelo holds out Isabella’s rosary like I know it was you, why did you do this to me?
tl;dr it’s the repression it’s the vilification of sexual desire of lesbianism of female desire. it’s the way they both want to fucking rail each other so bad but unfortunately angelo has never heard of chilling the fuck out. Also, Angelo wants to get dommed by God
#lesbian angelo tag#measure for measure#sorry. this take is fucking unhinged#thank you for asking I’m the loudest bitch alive#asks

GO FAST BOATS MOJITO
I know it had to mean something because Richie said it so much
The gofastboats comes in here
"Crockett and Tubbs, making them Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force deputies, to lead a deep undercover operation. They continue the investigation by looking into go-fast boats coming from the Caribbean, delivering loads of narcotics "
It's a 2006 Miami vice reference and this part of the plot summary on Wikipedia struck me
_------------------
"Crockett takes Isabella to a police safehouse and insists she will have to leave without him. Isabella tells him "time is luck," holding out hope the fling can continue, but he tells her they "have run out of time."
Crockett arranges for Isabella to leave the country and return home to Cuba, thus avoiding arrest. Meanwhile, Tubbs is keeping watch on Trudy in the hospital as she begins to awaken from her coma."
--------
It's the running out of time, time out of joint and someone being in a coma or having locked in syndrome. This is a recurring theme
Just someone unable to communicate and so all the Beef Bear scenarios are happening in that person's head
That's what I think may be happening

“Oh, Merlin, tell me, does THE QUEEN OF SWORDS get what she deserves?” She is in THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX & CLOSED to finding out.
— she walks through the world as ;
name → annabeth pebworth pronouns → she/her identification → cis female year of birth → september 1952 - september 1953 face claim → jessica henwick blood status → muggle-born sexual orientation → up to applicant occupation → deputy head hit wix at the department of magical law enforcement at the ministry of magic future information → head of hit wix at the department of magical law enforcement at the ministry of magic, wife of dougal mckinnon
— she is best described as ;
Forged by DRAGONS BREATH, she is the ASSURANCE of a NEW DAWN coloured in scarlet yet the CAUTION warned in it’s wake. The GUIDING HAND of a blade, SURE, STEADY and UNYIELDING in the face of PROTECTION and PERSEVERANCE. While they can be as TENDER as the whistle of wind through mountains, it’s a gift for only those stubborn enough to unlock a IRON CAST HEART sealed from decades of hopelessly cold, to hold.
— her story starts with ;
tw: death
There is little that Annabeth cares to remember of her time before becoming a Pebworth. Merely a collection of disjointed memories, fractured hope and careless actions from those that were meant to love her. The product of a careless night, Annabeth was born to a mother too young to look after herself let alone a child. Abandoned and left in an orphanage, Annabeth raised her sister Isla with protective hand and the overbearingness of a mother at only seven. Seeing it as her duty to protect her, she vowed even then that nothing would be able to tear them apart. While the orphanage was as bleak and grey, the people inside held hope for the young souls within. Finding families for as many children as they could muster. Isabella and Angus Pebworth hailed from the highlands, simple folk who always wanted a child of their own; the news of a newborn looking for a home brought them to the orphanage. Only to find that if they wished to take Isla; they’d have to take Annabeth too. While it wasn’t what they’d wished for, it was still a family.
Annabeth knew that she wasn’t wanted. Her age made her less desirable, her guarded attitude and protection over her sister was a challenge. Especially when strange things started to happen. The crashing of a plate when tears started to fall, the playing of the gramophone to sooth Isla without it being turned on, the flickering of lights to accompany her tears. While her parents swore the house was haunted and insisted they fled to the Isle of Skye to escape their demons; Anna feared it wasn’t the house but herself. Exploring the fields behind the village they lived, her eyes fell on four figures all of whom were flying. The magic she’d been hiding under her covers at night of flickering flames wasn’t insanity, it was real and there were others just as she. As quickly as her realization came, she was knocked to the ground by COINNEACH MCKINNON [future brother in law]; who was swiftly scorned by DOUGAL MCKINNON [best friend/fiancè]. Annabeth’s short temper and spark only made the McKinnon’s smirk, who welcomed her to join them gladly. The McKinnon’s saved Annabeth from loneliness and self destruction; akin spirits they taught her about the wizarding world, showing her life, freedom and how to finally breathe.
The Pebworth’s fear of magic tore the family apart. Superstitious, the unknown whelm of witchcraft they saw as cursed. Deeming that no child of theirs would have a hand in such unnatural acts, they burned Hogwarts letters upon arrival only until a mysterious cat appeared at their window. Transforming into a woman before their very eyes, PROFESSOR MINERVA MCGONAGALL [mentor] escorted the witch personally to Hogwarts, throwing shame in her wake for their negligence. Hogwarts was beyond anything she could have wished for. Doned in red, she soared with her fellow Gryffindor’s; atlast finally wanted and free. The brightest witch of her year with resilient prowess, the girl excelled far beyond anyone’s expectations. Able to fight her own battles when the likes of LACHESIS MALFOY [adversary] shouted mudblood across the halls, though with Dougal, ALICE YEN [best friend], FRANK LONGBOTTOM [close friend], AMOS DIGGORY [friend], HESTIA JONES [friend] and IAIN WOOD [friend] readily at her side for once she didn’t need to be her own champion. Yielding a fury of protection for the people she loves, the witch’s devotion to safeguard her chosen family and those vulnerable became her striving purpose. Graduating and taking a job as a Auror under ALASTOR MOODY [boss], she became bold and defiant in her untouchable youth.
Though one night, everything changed. Ravagers stormed the mountains of Skye in hope to capture the famed and protected Hebridean Black dragons. The roars of fire shook the town as dragons cried for their children leaving the McFusty calling any wix on the island to help. Fighting in combat alongside the McKinnon’s, McCormack’s, Wood’s and McGonagall’s the families united managed to ward off the thieves; still with great consequences. Isla had followed her sister with the ambition to help. Though at only twelve, her skills weren’t nearly enough to match that of older wix. Caught between a spell and a dragon, in a blink of an eye Annabeth lost her sister forever. With no body to be found, any life that Isla Pebworth had once held; simply turned to memory. Blamed for her sister’s death, the Pebworths disowned Annabeth. Wanting nothing to do with magic and the daughter that had left their greatest treasure dead, they left never to be seen again. Devastated and plagued with grief; Annabeth’s heartbroken cries echoed through the mountains. With a piece of her soul stolen, despite the McKinnon’s taking her in; the witch was unconsolable. Turned reserved from fear of the unbearable grief that comes with love lost, Annabeth became colder and guarded in a fleeting attempt to protect what remained of her heart.
While many tried to heal the mourning witch, it was Dougal who found a way into her heart. Though arrogant, there was something about him that was disarming. For a man too proud and noble it was maddening, she offered a wit as sharp as a viper leaving their interactions often comical to those around them. Years of friendship turned to love as they bickered over games of wizards chess, sipped butterbeers and healed each other through the misfortune that had befallen them. While their years of friendship, love and then engagement were news celebrated by friends, by most however distaste could be felt in their stares. Most surprising of all; Nathair who’s objection ripped through the fabric of the McKinnon family. Obstinate that she wouldn’t tear them apart, Annabeth fled to the hills. Only for Dougal to capture her in an embrace, claiming there was no place on earth that would be far enough for him to forget the bond they shared; assuring it would meet good ends. While fraught with concern at the growing unrest both within her family and community, Annabeth dove into work. While Alastor fought against the head of law enforcement BARTEMIUS CROUCH SR [boss] insisting she become the head of the department of Hit wix, with her muggle-born status; the Ministry board refused.
Angered, Alastor spoke of a group forming to combat against discrimination and offer tangible change; The Order of the Phoenix.Hungry for purpose, while she knows her time will come, with the growing strife she aches being on the sidelines wanting nothing more than to wage her own war. Though, even she knows it's not wise with anonymous threats of violence left in her office. What started as one, became two, till she was finding threats daily scattered on her desk as pureblood propaganda. While the letters of terror and dark symbols are unnamed, even Annabeth knows she’d be a fool not to dismiss such cryptic messages. Keeping them hidden from her friends and Dougal to not cause alarm, Annabeth has taken the situation into her own hands. Seeking consort from EMMELINE VANCE [friend], the pair are trying to detect a magical trace off of any of the letters she has received. Testing the ink and parchment, to see if it will lead to a clue but coming up nout. But with the most recent letter being slipped under the front door, Annabeth’s nerve is growing strained with how close to home the threats are turning. With Muggles disappearing daily and the threat on non-pureblood wix growing; Annabeth fears that it’s only a matter of time before her name is added to the missing persons list.

Chicago Fire Season 2 Ep. 4 "A Nuisance Call"
A routine call leads to the suicide of a diabetic acquaintance of Shay's, causing a rift between her and Dawson. The men of 52 are looking for someone who is spying on them. Meanwhile, Severide goes undercover to find Hadley. Dawson gets news about Jay, one of Arthur's henchmen.
If you want to watch the series for yourself, stop reading! This post contains spoilers to the storyline.
Shay and Dawson help Darryl with his insulin injection. They're annoyed at his neediness, but stop when he pulls a gun and points it at himself. Darryl shoots himself, and their clothes are covered in blood.
Shay is affected by his suicide, but she becomes despondent and withdraws. This is made worse when Dawson makes her feel inferior during an argument. Shay drinks and gets close to her new roommate Otis. This only lasts until she starts crying. Otis agrees to keep a secret.
Chief Boden visits the CFD Deputy Director and asks him to get McLeod to stop overstepping her boundaries. McLeod visits Boden at his office to say she's only accountable to the state, not the city, CFD or Boden.
When McLeod leaves, Benny notices and goes to see McLeod. He supports the firehouse and is angry at Boden. Another shock then happens. Mills spends time with Clarke and finds out he refused McLeod's order. Mill confronts Spellman, who runs away.
At a meet and greet, Mouch meets voters until Hadley shows up. He says Mouch is a bad union rep and ruins the event. Outside, Severide follows Hadley back to the house and puts a phone in his car. He tracks the phone and Hadley's car to a burning building. Severide calls in 51 and rushes inside to look for Hadley. It's difficult because there's a lot of smoke. Hadley shows Severide some explosives and they set off a big explosion. The two men fight, and Hadley is burned. He falls unconscious as they put out the flames.
Isabella comes to the house to show Mouch a campaign flyer. Mills finds out that Spellman is giving McLeod information. This gets everyone's attention. Spellman confirms it by not denying it.
Dawson is still upset about Shay and the suicide. She watches the Darden boys on the playground when she gets a call from Jay. She tells him to leave her alone and hears a scream from Griffin, who has fallen. At the hospital, doctors say he broke a rib, and Dawson admits she's guilty to Casey. He reassures her and later learns Griffin is more upset about his mother being in prison than the injury. Griffin asks Casey to stay with him until he falls asleep.
But the biggest news is when Herrmann gets Antonio to help his sister. Antonio tells Dawson that Jay isn't working for the thugs. He's working for the police.

Kapitel 1 - Isabella 5
Was wollte Hiram dann tun?
Man musste etwas dagegen tun!

The Hilltop Players Present Shakespeare’s “Measure for Measure”
After having canceled the first weekend run of the fall play “Measure for Measure” due to injury, The West Liberty University Hilltop Players are excited to kick off their 2023-2024 season with a production of one of Shakespeare’s so-called “problem plays”. Performances will take place Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, October 20, 2023, at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 3:00 PM (the Sunday matinee is a sensory-friendly performance with reduced sound and lighting effects and the house lights remain on for the run of the show). Because of a generous gift from Thomas “TC” Cervone and Susan Creswell, all student tickets are free of charge. General Admission tickets are $12.50 each, with a Senior discount ticket of $10.00. All performances will be on the campus of West Liberty University on the Kelly Theatre stage in the Hall of Fine Arts. Vienna is in turmoil after two decades of societal upheaval, and Duke Vincentio has abruptly decided to flee the city, leaving his faithful deputy, Angelo, in charge. Determined to put an end to moral corruption in Vienna, Angelo decides to strictly enforce even the most Puritan laws. When a young man named Claudio is sentenced to death, his sister Isabella pleads to Angelo for Claudio’s life. Many ethically questionable situations are present throughout the show, leaving the audience with much to discuss and process long after the curtain closes. The show is directed by Michael Aulick, Professor of Theatre at West Liberty. “There is a reason this play is called a ‘problem play’. The story has some holes, the characters’ ethics are in question, and the verse is, at times, utter chaos” Aulick says. “The play is and should feel as uncomfortable as real life often does. Therefore, we don’t think that the play is a ‘problem’ that needs to be fixed, but rather one that we should see and contemplate. We should leave the theatre with questions the audience can mull over in the weeks to come.” The production features a number of former Hilltop Players who have come back to lend their support to the program. Cassandra Hackbart (Class of 2013) is back on the Kelly stage playing the role of Mistress Overdone. Spencer Thomas (Class of 2016) is the technical director. Christopher Rees (Class of 2019) serves as the scenic designer. Alex Franke (Class of 2018) works as the lighting designer. “It was a great experience returning to WLU and getting to work with some of my best friends all over again. It was like getting to experience a really great memory all over again and I look forward to having more opportunities to work with this team again soon,” Franke said. The cast features theatre majors: Len Batson, Roman Hicks, Daisy Deaton, Isabella Costantini, Benjamin Mounsey, Traelynn Alton, Rowland Dodd, Aidan Kosol, and Eva Tennant. As well as theatre minors and non-majors: Asa Krinov, Oliver Marks, Joy Deaton, and Mason Stoll, and graduate Cassandra Hackbart. The West Liberty University Theatre is a nationally recognized program with the mission of providing a transformative educational experience for undergraduate students of theatre where a personal approach creates a place where they can ‘find their light.’ West Liberty University is West Virginia’s oldest public university, and it offers more than 70 undergraduate majors, plus a growing number of graduate programs, both online and on campus.
