Right today made my brain start thinking about demon lore so I did some research:

- BBH has hinted at being a fallen angel and is now a demon/grim reaper and while not ashamed, is secretive about it

- Tina basically confirmed she's a fallen angel or at least wasn't always a demon today and she is heavily ashamed of it and her "past of sin"

- Mouse is very comfortable and considers herself a natural demon with the Nether as her home (specifically Puerto Rico, canonically in hell)

And Mouse today said that natural demons aren't evil because that's just who they are while those turned demon are evil. And Tina basically implied that that was why she wasn't open about her identity because even other demons have those beliefs so how can she trust humans to not think of her like that.

However, cc!Mouse as a vtuber has demon lore that states she has an angelic form and the qsmp wiki states that shes a fallen angel of sorts (had a disagreement with god and was cast out) so if they are intertwined in some way:

1. We know more about Mouse Demon lore

And 2. All three of them are fallen angels (fell at different times: Bad the eldest, Mouse middle and Tina youngest)

So I think what Mouse means is that 'natural' demons also include fallen angels, since demons and angels are two sides of the same coin, and are just who they are, not inherently evil, but those that turn demon, like what happens when you get infected by black concrete, are evil. But because she has never explained about her potentially being a fallen angel and (while Tina does refer to the Nether as 'home') Tina doesn't think of herself as a natural demon like Mouse, there is a miscommunication and it's putting her into an even deeper well of internalised hate because even other demons would think of her as evil if they knew the truth of her past.

Also after today definitely it means that Tina is either lying about how much she knows of her past (which wouldn't be too much of a reach because she's hiding a major part of her identity that would be kind of hard to ignore) or they couldn't wipe the memories of the distant past so she remembers falling.

Today was a lot and I feel like I'm missing stuff but also it's 6am so I should sleep before this consumes my every waking thought.

tattoo day 2! what a difference in the pain and swelling with this one. i'm gonna talk about some perhaps gross stuff about the healing process so, a warning for below.

my last tattoo, on day 2, the saniderm (the clear bandage on top) was filled with so much excess ink and plasma it ended up coming off. and my arm was so swollen it was like a huge red balloon.

this time around there's almost no swelling, just a little redness, and almost no leaking. there's a little excess ink leaking in some spots, making some of the lines look a little wonky underneath the saniderm, but last time around there was so much leakage you couldn't even see the tattoo. seems like this time around i'll be able to keep the saniderm on for the full 3 days. so the healing process should be a bit quicker!

not sure if it's healing better this time around because my last tattoo was so black heavy or what, but i'm happy

Is there any media that's left a lasting impact on you?

So I’m going to give two answers, one the obvious, and another bonus answer for variety’s sake :3

Pmd explorers has possibly had the greatest lasting impact on me that any piece of media ever has. As my introduction to pokemon, I felt like I was playing partly as Hero would’ve experienced it—with absolutely no idea what to expect, and no background knowledge of anything. But the way it quickly changed from “heehee creature adventure :3” to “what does it truly mean to live and how can you shine as brightly as you can, even in the face of oblivion?” caught me quite off guard. It really made me start to think about how I could try to make the most of my life, how people’s actions can be hugely shaped by their situations, and how you really can’t take even the most simple of things for granted. I played this at 12 y/o during an otherwise very disruptive/isolated time in my life, so I’m not sure if that’s partly why my brain latched onto this as much as it did, but I genuinely felt like it helped me get through it. Whenever I felt weak or powerless back then, I found inspiration from how strong hero, partner, and grovyle had to be to get through everything, and it felt like it made coping just a bit easier. Fast forward to a much better time in my life, and it’s helped me find a wonderful, incredibly talented online community and friends, and I have an absolute blast being able to interact with you guys and see your takes on the series!

The other piece of media that had a lasting impact was Allie Brosh’s book Hyperbole and a Half. I hadn’t known before reading it, but she actually had a blog of the same name around the early 2010s, where she’d post her funny comics and stories. The part that had the most impact on me was actually her iconic ‘poorly drawn’ MS paint kind of style. It made me realize that you don’t necessarily have to make professional quality art to make something worth seeing. This inspired me not only to start posting my own doodles and stuff online, but also changed my approach when dealing with a lot of daunting things. Whenever I feel like I’m not good enough/skilled enough to try something, I remember how popular her stuff was, despite looking ‘low quality,’ and it reminds me that doing something low quality is better than not doing it at all!

So I was rewatching S2 and something caught my attention about when and how the Book of Life is mentioned: Episode 1 - Heaven MICHAEL: I'm not saying Hell is complicit in this. I'm not saying anyone is complicit. I'm just saying if anyone is found helping him, we are prepared to use Extreme Sanctions. WOMAN'S VOICE [on the phone] Extreme sanctions? MICHAEL: Yes. Book of life. WOMAN'S VOICE: I'm on it. Episode 1 - Hell BEELZEBUB: According to what I'm hearing, on a grapevine that obviously doesn't exist, upstairs is seriously troubled about Gabriel's disappearance. I'm hearing that anybody they find involved in this affair will be dealt with. CROWLEY: How? BEELZEBUB: Extreme... sanctions. CROWLEY: That isn't actually a thing? That's just something we used to joke about to frighten the cherubs. BEELZEBUB: No, it exists. Extreme sanctions. Anyone found involved in Gabriel's disappearance will be erased from the Book of Life. They won't just be gone, they will never have existed. Episode 6- the Bookshop MICHAEL: I am authorized to remove the name of anyone who helped Gabriel from the Book of Life. You will never have existed, Aziraphale. [the Metatron enters] MICHAEL: I don't believe I asked for any interruptions. METATRON: I couldn't help it. You're talking utter balderdash. I mean, complete piffle! You don't have the authority to do anything like that.

I find it very interesting that the two main times the Book of Life is mentioned, the threat is immediately cast in doubt. Crowley says "that's not really a thing, is it?" and Metatron tells Michael she doesn't have the authority to use the Book of Life at all. (Metatron is of course a lying liar who lies, but none of the Archangels question his authority.) We also don't learn what the Book of Life is when it's first mentioned, we hear about the threat through Beelzebub, who is getting the information from their contacts in Heaven, which may or may not be correct.

(Also, why would "extreme sanctions" have needed to exist, pre-Fall, when Crowley would have been teasing the cherubs? When the angels rebelled, the consequence was them being cast out and Falling.) We also see throughout the season that Michael is pretty desperate to establish herself as the authority in Heaven, immediately jumping to take over Gabriel's position, despite Uriel saying that she's only a "duty officer" and they're all the same rank. I don't actually think Michael (or anyone else) has used the Book of Life before. Does she even know what it really does or how it works? If she doesn't have the authority to use it, who does? The only other person we know of in Heaven's hierarchy is the Metatron. But it's not his voice on the phone authorizing the "extreme sanctions." It seems entirely possible that erasing someone from the Book of Life could be a threat Michael made up to sound important or secure her position of power. Maybe it can do that, but as others have asked before -- if Heaven could erase Aziraphale and/or Crowley so easily, why not do it after the failed Armaggeddon, instead of executing them? If they never existed, Armaggeddon could have gone off without a hitch. Maybe the Book of Life can be used this way, but it's not as easy as Michael makes it sound. Maybe the Book of Life has some other function-- certainly in the Christian lore it seems to be mainly a tool used during Judgement Day, to decide who is good enough for salvation and who is cast into Hell.

I don't have any hard conclusions, but I feel like there's some important information that's being withheld here, and it's not as simple as we're led to believe.

saturday no plans so i get to do this all night

Yesterday I got the chance to go on the zip line, and I'm desperately afraid of heights but I still want to do things at heights, like the climbing wall or a high ropes course. And I've tried both of those things but quit very soon or before even starting, because I can't fucking do heights. But last night I got the chance to do zip line and I really wanted to, but was incredibly terrified.

So one of my dearest friends, a woman I deeply like and love, first reassured me (I was afraid I was too heavy for the zip line) and then said "Would it help if I went with you?" And yeah, she's one of the sweetest people I've ever met and she's an incredibly comforting presence, of course I said yes.

So we walked up to the zip line platform, and this is her job so she's very good at reassuring people (usually little children, but it worked for me too) who are scared to go on the climbing wall or zip line. So as I was trying to comfort myself, she told me how it would work, and that I could just sit and the harness would hold me, so I tried that and it helped, and she told me I could just lift my legs and I'd go. So I did, and she went at the same time as me, and

My god, the anxiety and the thrill, flying through the air with her next to me, seeing her wave at me as we went, getting off at the end and her asking, "So do you want to do it again?" And wanting to do it again with her, it was one of the most amazing feelings I've ever felt. I truly felt like I could've done anything I wanted with her by my side.
