Astro thoughts + takes | Random observations
(*from personal experience + knowledge, please do not copy+paste as these are my own words*)
• Uranus aspecting one's moon can make them prone to mood swings, yes, but I never hear about how this aspect can make it easier to overcome tough emotions. Since Uranus represents innovation + breakthroughs an individual with a moon-uranus aspect can power through them quickly, and sometimes in very odd ways. Can have different coping mechanisms than most around them.. one that will really stand out apart from the rest. Now, keep in mind that this can be great in many ways.. zipping through emotional turmoil can be a breeze for these people, they just have to make sure to slow down once and a while and ACTUALLY process what they're feeling. Those with moon sextile uranus can actually work through tough emotions when they get outside of their comfort zone.
• Moon sqaure saturn can indicate emotional immaturity until the individual works on their relationship with authority / authority figures, amongst other things..
• Neptune square asc can give one the desire for escapism through substance, any harsh aspects neptune makes to the moon or venus can also indicate this (no hate.. I have this aspect)
• Virgo mars and planning when to have xxx (this is where they clash with fire/air mars signs.. they thrive off spontaneity which this mars lacks unless the chart indicates otherwise ofc)
• Mars in the 6H and being turned on not by a specific area of the body, but what sensations can be created by it (nervous system)
• Mars in libra vs being turned on by reciprocity
• An unevolved lilith in libra/7H can be the typical womanizer/maneater until they learn that there's power in standing on their own, not feeling complete only when in a relationship. some may use others to try and "heal" themselves too
• Virgos actually spend their past time connecting the dots
• One of the things that cancer and taurus placements share in common is that they'll be in a DEEP sleep, wake up, and randomly start making a 4-course meal (yum, can I sleep over?)
• The galactic center of the milky way is stationed in the constellation of sagittarius, which has up to 400 BILLION stars.... and you still wonder why they act like that?
° Saturn conjunct asc means everyone giving you responsibilities because you always look like you can handle them (even if you can't or the responsibilities have nothing to do with you) however, in return it does grant the individual with passing authority (I also have this.. even when I'm not the one "in charge" people come to me like I am)
• The house that Saturn is in can show you which area of life you'll feel most restricted in (ex: 3H- trapped within the local community or bound to siblings in some way. 10H- bound to work, restricted in some way to get away from it. 12H- trapped in your mind/subconscious)
• Sun in 8H individuals may gain more recognition after death / possible famous after death ( check for more fame indicators )
• Scorpio + 8H placements will put people through trials and tribulations because they want to see if they are worthy enough to see their innermost self and deepest desires. this is because these placements experience the most rebirth (and their own trials and tribulations... quite often), they want to make sure you love them down to their very core, so when they morphe into their next "self", you won't leave
• When the south node transits the 7H one will notice past-life partnerships coming back into their present life. Note that this may not always come in the form of a lover.. but if it does.. your working on releasing patterns of behavior with said person. Unfortunately, once the transit south node exists the 7H there may be a parting of ways. This could be completely flipped however, some may meet a past life partner that they end up working on these patterns together and stay together (depending on synastry). And then you even have some people who will experience repeating events and patterns from outside forces but don't actually align with a specific past partner. As of right now taurus risings are letting these lessons wrap up, if you are a Taurus rising comment below with your take on this! Scorpio risings are shedding an old identity.. I know this can appear to be typical Scorpio behavior but because this is affected by the nodes, it's a deeply submerged part of themselves they're FINALLY learning to let go of and release control. Let me know if this resonates- Scorpio risings! 🫶
• Whichever house the south node transits in your chart will be the area of life you will experience "letting go" of what no longer serves you (Ketu=deflation)

I got into 'humans are deathworlders'/'human are space orks'✨✨✨ and I would really like it if the only human was Virgil and at first they are against him but then they realize that he is just a misunderstood sweetheart🤔 I don't mind if he was put on the ship by someone as a crew member or if he was rescued or something alse🙂but it would be cute if Virgil was short for a human🤭 and things like flexibility to get into small spaces and other things that are in the community about deathworlders'🤩 – anon
Read on Ao3
Warnings: discussions about anxiety, some anti-human sentiments
Pairings: none
Word Count: 2084
"My antennae are vibrating," Janus announces, popping out of nowhere to sit next to Remus, who chirps in alarm, "what are we talking about?" "The human's ability to crawl inside the engine ducts." Janus's antennae turn a vibrant shade of blue. "The human did what now?"
"Have you seen them yet?"
"Xerxus—don't do that, Re," Roman grumbles, his mandible clicking against the glass, "you almost made me spill!"
Remus shuffles into the seat next to him, eyestalks roaming around the cafeteria. Roman sighs and pats his spawn mate on the shoulder. "They managed to get into the engine ducts yesterday and now nowhere feels safe."
Roman sighs. "Just because they were poking around the engine ducts doesn't mean they didn't have a reason for it. They're not you, they don't just do things—"
"No, no, no, I don't mean they were in the area of the engine ducts, I mean they were inside them."
Roman blinks with all seven eyes. "You're telling me the human managed to fit inside there? But the ducts aren't even wide enough to accommodate a new hatch, what do you mean—"
"Look, all I know is that one ribec I'm looking at a human standing in front of a vent, and the next, their little shoe is disappearing into that hunk of metal and they're scrambling out the other side mumbling about filtration issues." Remus chitters as he grabs a plate of standard rations. "I'm telling you, I thought the whole death world thing was overhyped at first, but now—"
"Shh!" Roman's eyestalks dart around the room. "You know we're not supposed to say that!"
"What the krik else are we supposed to say? Their planet isn't tidally locked, it's fucking tilted, and their axis precesses? No, Ro, that's a death world."
"I know that, but we can't say that!"
"Are you talking about the human?"
Both of them jerk when Logan comes to sit next to them. He sighs, pressing a button on his control suit to decrease the pressure around his torso as he sits. His gloves whirr in response and he's able to pick up the spoon without much difficulty.
"Hey, Lo. Did the updates go well?"
"Yes, thankfully the spaceport had a non-Newtonian section for their replacement parts and I was able to find the proper regulator. But Roman, I presume Remus has informed you about the…experience in the engine room?"
"So it's true, then?"
Remus smacks him. "Hey! I'm not Janus, I wouldn't lie to you!"
"My antennae are vibrating," Janus announces, popping out of nowhere to sit next to Remus, who chirps in alarm, "what are we talking about?"
"The human's ability to crawl inside the engine ducts."
Janus's antennae turn a vibrant shade of blue. "The human did what now?"
"It's true!" Logan nods along as Remus chitters. "They were just there one moment and then they just went inside like it was nothing. I don't know how they're still alive, the lack of air flow alone would put any of us out of commission, how did they—"
"You're assuming any of us could even fit. My suit won't let me enter a space less that the diameter of my torso, and Janus—"
"Oh, you wouldn't catch me in there in stasis or movement." Janus sips through a proboscis. "Not that I'm eager to test it out."
Roman sighs. "Regardless of how impressed we are with the human's abilities—"
"Impressed is a strong word."
"Who's impressed by something that terrifying?"
"I'm not sure I'd go that far."
"Regardless of how impressed we are," he repeats, eyestalks glaring at the three of them, "it's not our place to call their planet a death world. That's not fair to them, they didn't have a choice as to what they were born as."
"No, they just took all the freaky adaptations and evolutions that come from said death world and make them our problem." Janus shudders and his carapace clicks. "I still remember the time I saw them in the lab with the lights off. It was like looking into the maw of a Rashan Giant and having it tell you it wasn't going to eat you. Since when do they have night vision too?"
"There was probably enough light for them to see by—"
"That's worse! You get how that's worse, right? If they can just see in the dark, then they can see in the dark, but if there's an ambiguous amount of light that they can see by, then how are we supposed to know what it is?"
"And don't get me started on their memory. The Captain said two things in their whole orientation tour about the quark spin reader and they remembered it last cycle when it needed to be recalibrated. I don't even want to know what else they remember from all of the scuttlebutt that they hear."
"Alright, that's a little ridiculous." Logan's face shield lowers so he can take a slurp. "It's not like they're plotting to use all of the information they're gathering about the crew's personal lives to plan some nefarious scheme."
"Oh, so you'd feel comfortable with them knowing what the settings on your regulator are? You're fine with them knowing things about your brood?"
"Okay, wait, more species than humans have good memories, Janny. Are you—" Remus's eyestalks flutter around Janus's face— "is there something you're not telling us about how you feel about humans?"
Janus's carapace rattles. He turns and glances around. Luckily the cafeteria is still mostly empty and none of the other tables are close enough to hear them. He sighs. "Look, you know how I am about predator species. It's—I'm not—I'm trying to be better, but humans—humans just really freak me out."
"That's not a reason to be a bigot about it."
"I know, I know, I'm sorry, I just—" he rubs his antennae as they turn yellow again— "it just freaks me out and I don't know what to do about it."
One of Roman's eyestalks catches movement and he swivels it to see the human walking in. He elbows Remus, who looks too, and promptly holds up a hand.
"Virgil! Come eat with us!"
"What is wrong with you," Janus hisses under his breath as the human tilts their head, shrugs, and carries a ration tray over. "Uh—hi. Virgil, right?"
"Mhm." The human sits next to Logan—well, a chair over from Logan, right in front of Roman. "Hi. Uh, I don't know if we've met."
"Janus. And you know—"
"Logan, Roman, Remus, yeah." He picks up the cup of caf and sips it. "Thanks for, uh, letting me sit."
"We're all crew," Logan says diplomatically.
They eat in silence for a few ribecs. Then Virgil coughs. "Um, don't let me interrupt whatever was going on. I'm just—I'm not really good at conversation."
"Really?" Remus chitters. "Aren't humans social species?"
"Remus," Roman chides, but Virgil's already huffing a laugh.
"Yeah, we are by and large, but some of us aren't as good at that as everyone else." He lifts two fingers and taps them against his head. "Me? Not one of the good ones."
"Is that why you volunteered to go in the ducts?"
"Remus!" Roman smacks his brother with an eyestalk. "I'm sorry, Virgil, he's not normally this pushy."
"Yes, I am!"
"Yeah, he is," Janus mumbles under his breath.
"No, it's cool, I, uh—I noticed how everyone was looking at me when I got out of there. It's a, uh, I'm sure you've heard stories about human impatience, yeah?"
"I think everyone in the Coalition heard about the species that flung themselves to the stars before they had FTL capabilities," Janus says, a bit sharp. Virgil just chuckles.
"Yeah, well—the chief said there was something wrong inside the ducts and that we had to wait a few cycles to calibrate the probe properly, and I asked if I could just go in instead since the sector had to be isolated anyway, and they said sure, if I could fit." He takes another sip. "In hindsight, I'm like, pretty sure that was a hyperbolic thing? Or at the very least sarcastic, like they didn't think I was gonna fit, but then I did it and…"
He shrugs.
"Now I think I have a new thing added to my maintenance roster, but that's fine."
"Impressive." Logan's glove whirrs as he picks up the spoon. "Have you done similar things on other ships?"
"Oh, no, this is my first deployment."
All of them pause. Virgil notices, his cup halfway to his mouth.
"…is there something wrong?"
"This is your first deployment?" Roman's eyestalks rustle. "But you're—you've already reached third rank, how did you—"
"I mean, I've worked on space ports before, but not a like, traveling ship. And I didn't—the manifest specifically requested a human, so I got the job that they needed a human for."
"Forgive us our surprise," Logan says, "we only meant that to see a member of the crew with such acumen, we expected this to be your second or third deployment."
"At least."
"Really?" Virgil huffs. "I, uh, wow. It's, uh, really good to hear you say that. My anxiety's been trying to tell me I'm doing a really bad job, so that makes me feel better."
Janus's antennae switch. "Anxiety? Is that a parasite of some sort?"
Logan shoots him a warning look but Virgil laughs again. "Honestly, sometimes it feels like that. But no, it's not—it's not a parasite. It's a, uh, oh, God, I'm not a medical professional. It's—it's a specific mental illness that humans can have where it—okay, basically it takes your fight-or-flight survival instinct, your gut keep-me-alive feeling, and makes it go haywire."
The tips of Janus's antennae turn blue. "How does it do that?"
"It messes with your ability to regulate your emotional response to stuff, sort of. Like—it makes you freak out way more than normal about stuff that you really don't need to be freaking out over. Like—for me, I'm always worrying did I lock my cabin door, did I turn off the interface properly, did I just say something really stupid and ignorant, are the airlocks going to fail, basically I'm worrying about stuff all the time and I can't really control it. At all."
All of Remus's eyestalks turn to stare at Janus, who clicks. "That…sounds really frustrating."
"It's hard, yeah, but I've had some time to learn to manage it." His gaze flicks up to the antennae. "Uh, if you're curious about it, I can send you some of the stuff I have about it?"
"That would be…great, thank you."
Virgil smiles. "No problem. I gotta say, though, I'm gonna start thinking about it like a parasite now that you've said it."
"Why?"
"'Cause if you feed into it, it gets way worse. Like—right now it's trying to tell me that I'm messing something up really bad by sitting with you guys, like I'm gonna say something really stupid that's gonna make you all hate me or get me kicked off the ship, and me saying that out loud is—" he takes a deep breath— "feeding it. But if I just…ignore it, or try and push past it, then I'm not feeding it and eventually it gets quieter."
"We don't hate you," Roman says quietly, "we're not gonna get you kicked off the ship."
"Oh, I figured, that's why it's irrational, but—thanks."
"That is fascinating. If you're willing, I would also like to read more about this."
"Yeah, yeah, I'll send it to you too." The end of shift alarm chirps and Virgil sighs, getting up. "That's my cue. It was nice sitting with you."
"I'm on next shift too," Janus says, quickly standing, "I'll walk with you?"
"Oh! Yeah, sure, let's go."
Logan, Roman, and Remus watch the two of them walk off. After the door slides shut, Logan laughs.
"That's what they don't tell you about death worlds, they make you very, very good at surviving."
"What do you mean?"
Logan gestures after the two of them. "In the face of irrational fear, predator and prey have found something to bond over. What's more death world than that?"
"…can't argue there."

I love your spinaraki fankid! I hope you don't mind receiving asks about him, if so, then please ignore.
In your AU, would Masanori be inclined to meeting mr. compress, if he's still around? Like, if compress was able to get out of jail, would he try to find Masanori (maybe not try to interact but just out of curiosity to know what happened to the kid)? Or Masanori could get Deku to let him speak to compress if he's still in jail? Does compress even know about Masanori's existence?
Ahhhhhhhh I'm so glad you like Masanori and thank you so much for the ask! Please, send all the asks you want. I'm just really happy people like him. 🤗🙇🏻♀️🙏🏼
In this AU, Mr. Compress is still around - though still in jail, on death row.* Execution could happen any day now.
(*As part of a terrorist group that was involved in kidnapping, insurrection, multiple murders, etc., he's definitely getting the death penalty. All prison/legal aspects here is based on irl modern-day Japan.)
Compress does know about Masanori's existence! The League (+ the PLF leadership + two or three PLF medical workers) all knew that Spinner laid an egg. And just like Spinner, none of them knew what became of the egg - if it ever hatched, if the kid is doing okay, if they're even alive. Having guessed correctly that Spinner never told the Heroes anything, and with the subject never brought up in interrogations, they all intend to take the secret to the grave.
(Tho you're right: if Compress had ever broken out of jail because he totally should, he definitely would have tracked down the kid! And watched him from afar, to make sure he's okay. As much as Compress might want to make contact, he probably won't, to give the kid a chance at a non-villain, non-fugitive, non-League-bleak-end life. Though he may meddle with some things behind-the-scenes to make sure the kid stays on the straight path.
However, in an AU of this AU—if, like, fate ever puts Masanori in life-threatening danger, Compress would def rush there to save and protect him.)
Masanori - at first - actually has no interest in speaking to Mr. Compress. He knows about the guy, via reading Spinner's memoir and research, but since Masanori decided not to get sentimental about his parentage, he doesn't care to get in touch with Mr. Compress.
Not that Masanori can in the first place - by himself, he's got no way to establish communication with a death row prisoner, no good reason for it should he have to give one, and no one other than family and lawyers can contact Sako Atsuhiro anyway. That also lowered any incentive to act on any curiosity he might have had.
*
It's actually this lack of desire that gives off a red flag to Deku, as part of a series of red flags regarding Masanori. See, Masanori has closed his heart off - doesn't want to know more about his parents or lineage, doesn't want to bond with anyone, doesn't even want friends. (Even Shigaraki had friends and held the League close to his heart!)
It just seems very sad and lonely to Deku. Masanori is not a villain and has firmly declared that he won't be one, so everyone can rest easy, but Masanori sure acts like a Villain, clearly broken and rejecting a world that had rejected him and "too far gone" for any of Deku's (or anyone's) attempts to Make Him Smile. (Metaphorically.) (Also literally - not a smiler, Masanori. Or emotes much.)
So of course obviously, for the story development, for Masanori's character growth, and Deku to for-real save Masanori, kid does eventually have to open up and develop connections. Deku actually takes the first step in facilitating this - getting a stay of execution for Mr. Compress so the kid can still have the only connection left in the world to Shigaraki and Spinner.
Plus for Deku - Compress will also probably be the first person to really take Deku to task about caring for Masanori, for Masanori's sake - if Deku's serious about helping this kid, without forcing his shallow and egotistical heroic ideals on him, and to continue helping him no matter what, no resorting to punching even if the kid fucks up, even if people finds out about Masanori and Deku'll have to defend Masanori's very existence against the world.
*
Anddddddddd I've also toyed with the extremely terribly too-sappy idea that Masanori thinks of himself as a mistake, someone who shouldn't exist. Not only because of his villain lineage, but because clearly he's the result of some awkward situationship between Spinner and Shigaraki, two loser 20-somethings who were each other first friends because they were both gamers. While being boss and underling. Kinda cringe, you know? If they were sensible, they wouldn't/shouldn't have had him. Of course a pair of criminals would end up with a mess of an egg.
But it's Mr. Compress who'll be able to back up everything Spinner says in his letter to Masanori, and more. He'll tell Masanori that Spinner and Shigaraki really did care about each other very much. Masanori is a child born of... maybe not love, but definitely affection. And while he was indeed a complete surprise and accident, that wouldn't have mattered to his parents. Once he was in the world, once he existed, that would've been reason enough for Shigaraki and Spinner to fully accept him and fight to create a world that he can be free in. They surely would've done that. Wanted to do that. That's something Compress can say with 100% certainty. And it'll soothe such an important part of Masanori.
Also once Masanori does open up his heart and he and Compress do bond, I think they can have a good time chatting about stuff. Not just League stories, but also like, history details that Masanori can't learn from books, tips on thievery, the terrible name Shigaraki and Spinner would've came up for Masanori, how to survive having notable bloodlines weighting on you, expensive foods Masanori should try on that Deku Hero's budget.
*
Thanks again for the ask!!! For allowing me to ramble on about this!!!! 🙇🏻♀️🙏🏼😭

grandparent thruple with respect women grandpa drake, ballerina will break you grandma drake, and void and stardust "oh, that's pretty!" grandy start with the bio grandkids, cass, dick, and tim, and then expand their grandparenting to their bio grandchildren's other siblings and their grandchildren's partners as grandchildren in law, they love having a huge pack of grandchildren and are so proud of all of them, when they expand to roy they almost combust because not just grandson but also great granddaughter! They revel in having people to love and care for though they're very careful to respect any boundaries a grandchild sets and try very hard to respect an adult grandchild's ability to take care of themselves. They will do their best to make sure their grandbabies have all the information they can provide and will try very hard to respect their grandbabies' choices even if they don't agree as long as it is an informed choice with no coercion. Coerced agreement is still one of Grandpa Drake's red flags that will cause him to throw hands. Lack of information to make a decision is one of the things that irks Grandma Drake. Grandy, in the meantime, is having talks with all the grandchildren about speaking respectfully to and about one another if they cannot speak kindly.
Jarro is one of their grandchildren in their eyes, yes. Bruce has adopted all three of their bio grandbabies which means, to the Drake thruple, all of Bruce's children are their grandchildren. It's a rediscover three get 12+ deal! Too good to pass up!
There might be some clashing between grandparent thruple and alfred in terms of how to treat the grandbabies and absolutely some plotting to just take all the kids to grandy's home planet and present them as grandy's collective heirs to their domain. The plot was first put forward by Grandy. So far it's only gone as far as plotting out of deference to Ma and Pa Kent since the Kents have some claim to Kon and Ma and Pa have made it clear they want to stay on Earth.
After some research to catch up on what happened on Earth while they were gone, the only reason they haven't either killed the joker themselves or hired someone to kill the joker is because the drake thruple has always believed that death is a mercy and the joker deserves no such thing. They have plans for both the joker and for the Court of Owls. The tricky part for them will be keeping the grandbabies out of the plans.
Absolutely vibing with the respect and boundaries of the thruple. I get so annoyed when fics, AUs, etc. have one of the Bats making decisions for other Bats for their "own good" despite the other Bat stating they do not want that action. Then the fics typically resolve it by having the second Bat admit the course of action was for the best (I won't throw my phone but gods do I wish to).
I am a firm believer in letting people make "mistakes" or "poor choices." As long as they aren't hurting other people, fuck off.
Rant over (though feel free to send an ask if you want to hear more about it). I especially vibe with informed non-coerced consent and promoting healthy communication. Let's go grand thruple ^^
The automatic "all of Bruce's kids are our grandkids" is fucking hilarious. Do they thus claim Bruce as their kid as well? If so, I wonder if they coparent with Alfred (and maybe Alfred has a somewhat on again off again relationship with the thruple or maybe a qpr with them. They can just be good friends too).
I would kill to see some fanart of grand thruple kicking Joker's ass. Let the clown suffer :)

Chapter 3 - Taris (II)
Fic summary: The second arc of my Armitage Hux x OC fanfic, “chocolate cookies and tarine tea”, in which both need to deal with the mess they got into (and with each other, eh eh eh). Taglist: @mylifeisactuallyamess, @morby and anyone who’d like to join 🥰
A/N: I realized that both Taris chapters are short... too short to read on their own. That's why I decided to review and publish the second part, so at least we get some general ginger 😊
"I need you, remember?”.
Did I really say that out loud?
Armitage shivered from disdain, hating himself for sounding so desperate. He wasn’t, and by any means this was not the signal he wanted to give the headstrong girl. Who knows what that overexcited mind of hers was thinking now. If she even begins to think she has power over me and tries to stab me in the back…
Only now, he started to realise there was some truth behind these poorly chosen words. He was completely dependent on Miko to make his risky plan succeed. He felt vulnerable, having to place his faith in her hands. He was supposed to be guiding her with his tactics, hopefully coercing her into doing the right thing and making sure the mission ended successfully. But right now, with the connection cut off, she was out there all by herself and he felt lost, the lack of control eating away the last piece of trust he harboured for a positive outcome. Stars, he hadn’t been feeling confident enough with the plan and her possible lack of abilities in the first place, and this was the consequence. A new level of distress, right on top of his other concerns.
It was already about half an hour ago, when the direct line with her earpiece commlink had fallen away. She had signed him that she was just about to enter the designated building by then, so no doubt the place was shielding off all type of communication.
That left Hux without any means to know what was going on, and he felt empty and way too nervous to his liking.
Hux started checking the perimeter sensors now, making sure no one was spotting his shuttle with the naked eye. They could mess with clearance codes, but anyone who took visual confirmation of the shuttle would know that they weren't exactly a cargo vessel. Something that should automatically sound the proximity alarm, but you can never be too certain, he sourly thought, aware of how the stress was eating him and making him do irrelevant things.
He sat down in the cockpit’s seat again and brought his hands together, the fingers locking when he rested his forehead on them. He didn’t know what to think, he wasn’t used to just… waiting. How long was she going to take? Every minute that passed made him wonder if things weren't going to work out as planned, or even worse, she was selling him out. Maybe something happened to her, out there in the streets, and he could be waiting here for nothing.
He tried to think about something else, but the only other thing apart from Miko he could focus on, was his anger and spite towards Ren.
Ren… Resentment was all that he had left. That, and the knowledge that the unguided projectile with a lightsaber and the other officers had always tried to put him aside. That they were out there, wrecking the First Order. But they underestimated him. He would prove that he has what it takes to lead the Order. They will see.
The proximity alarm bleeped, and he only noticed by now that Miko’s location sensor had become active again. He made a mental note that he shouldn’t dwell too much on Ren and the misery he brought to his life and the Order. The self declared lord of the Dark Side shouldn't be plaguing his mind, now or ever, he wasn't worth the attention.
He swiftly stood up, ready to check on the girl; he was dying to know what happened and if she in fact obtained the coördinates to the Resistance’s base.
Actually, that feisty girl has proven to be an adequate distraction from these dark thoughts, he realised once again while watching the sensors bleep and pressing the command to lower the ramp. Seems like he should appreciate her company after all. If only not to overthink his sightless situation and drown in his depressing theories.
Miko was coming into view of the cockpit’s transparisteel viewport, and Hux paused his movement.
What is she up to now? He wondered, started seething, when looking at the small cargo container floating behind her.

Yongie we need 6URSE red flags please
6URSE Red Flags
Nanami
He lacks empathy. Nanami is the type of person to be super into the rationalizing part which gives poor space for him to understand his partner’s outbursts of crying for exemple. He will often be cold emotionally
He is the type to give up so easily in arguments. there’s no space for communication when voice is raised, this man won’t take you seriously. he might also use lies and emotional manipulation to have his way
He can be very superficial when he is in a relationship. which means that this man would want his partner to always be perfect for all occasions. they need to be able to hold their head high every time and be super social otherwise Nanami might feel embarrassed of them
But he also acts super noisy. this man might not show it, but he knows all about gossip and his tongue runs high and he can often find himself sharing details that you might want to keep secret
Toji
He is so PETTY! like doesn't matter the moment or the reason that made him upset. when he is emotionally hit this man will become the pettiest person of them all and make sure to judge everything that you do or say just to get you upset
This man will speak things that will leave you perplexed. he is so insensitive when he is being an ass, and he would say things that he thinks or believes but without benign careful how he expressed himself
in a relationship this man is irresponsible and thus might have a thing for cheating or to be really distant. he likes his freedom and he doesn't feel like he owns you any explanation
Yet he is over controlative. he is the type of person that will always try to control everything that you do, from what you eat during the day to who you are with at your work space. he doesn't give much space for one to breathe
Sukuna
He is extremely stubborn, no matter if you are right or not, this man won't bulge once he makes a decision, especially if he uses his heart to make those decisions. whenever he is hurt he holds grudges like a madman and won’t change those either
He is very careless and impulsive with his words. He speaks his mind without taking into consideration your feelings which often ends up by him hiring your feelings. sukuna can also be quite aggressive with what he says or on the way of communicating
In a relationship he is exploitive. He is with you for what you are able to bring to the table. if you aren't able to provide the same way he is proving he won’t see you as a partner but as a burden
He acts quite snobby. that because he was always raised this way, but his behaviors will continue even during the relationship. Like he acts as if he is making president money
Gojo
He is so damn dramatic and everything that happens to him is negative and feels like death to him. like he will literally act as if the world is crumbling under his feet. also he can be quite narcissistic when it comes to his own inner self
Like Sukuna he is super irresponsible and impulsive with his words which makes him the type to argue for anything and everything. sometimes the matter doesn't even is that important but he makes a huge deal out of it
In a relationship is careless, forgets about important dates , forgets to bring some comfort and he might have tendencies to look elsewhere when he feels bored of his partner
He is codependent with people and he always sticks to them like a glue which gives small occasions for the other people to breathe. he can also act super passive aggressive whenever he is angry or upset
Geto
He is emotionally very selfish. When he has to make choices in his heart he will always prioritize himself and be quite arrogant about it. Other people comes after his own needs no matter the situation
The way he talks can sometimes feel very snobby, like he takes people as more inferior than him and speaks to them as if they are stupid. so one can feel very insecure when having a conversation with Geto
In a relationship he is all about exploiting what his partner can bring into the relationship. he is expecting the to be on the same level than he is , or else he won't be very interested in them, or h might feel overloaded with them
He acts like the victim each time someone points out something bad about him. Ghetto gets overly sensitive over the smallest matters
Choso
He can be aggressive when he is emotionally overwhelmed with rage and anger. he doesn't deal well with frustration and pressure, making him quite selfish on his actions
Choso is a world first class emotional manipulator. when he open his mouth he knows what the people wants to hear and how to get them on the good side. he doesn't do this consciously, as he is a people pleaser
In a relationship, Choso’s red flag is the fact that he is very impatient. he would want to wait too long to be with his partners and he moves alway son the fast pace with can be tiring. he is super demanding as well and gets upset when he doesn't have his way
He is super co-dependent and he always is behind those he cares and loves because he doesn't know how to live by himself. Choso as a lack of personality here where he needs to live through others

Hello, and thank you for giving me the opportunity to ask you this—as someone a crumb bit invested in what HH will be like, especially with the addition of the funds given to production (and maybe professional additional writers?) what are your thoughts right now on the show, are you holding out hope it'll be at least better than HB?
I also just want to squeeze in another ask about your thoughts on Vivziepop and by extension Spindlehorse, specifically the way production treats themselves as part of the fandom. Personally, I think this is a significant issue for a few reasons, the biggest one being: it defeats the integrity of the representation.
Imagine having a character like Valentino who is an incredibly abusive r*pist, using him to attempt to illustrate the horror of these specific abuses and trauma (which as I am sure you know either ruins people or kills them generally) but then turn around and sell merch of him being attractive, and deliberately try to add sex appeal to him and his relationship with his victim, Angel. As a creator, or someone part of the official production—you've just bastardized the entire meaning of the story in favor of wank fodder and sugarcoating abuse to twist into your 'fav ship' or something that's trying to be hot.
You see, this is the problem with the lack of boundaries within production; you want to have a portrayal of abuse but errr... the idea of the ship is just too hot and dramatic to ignore! The production wants to have its cake and eat it too, and acting as fans without disconnect makes all the other fans look at this content from OFFICIAL sources and start to, of course, normalize it.
What a tragic waste of representation for communities who need and deserve meaningful rep, because shipping, sex appeal, selling merch mean more to Vivziepop and Spindlehorse than ever conveying a compassionate exploration of true horror.
Tragic aside, what are your thoughts on these things? Thank you for reading through!
Honestly? I don't see Hazbin Hotel being all that different from Helluva Boss. In fact, I'm kinda dreading the jokes because Viv isn't going to be working with any YouTube restrictions, so I fully expect a bunch of raunchy dick and sex jokes.
A24 can hire additional writers, but it won't make a difference if Viv is still running things, as she refuses to listen to any criticism or feedback.
Maybe the writing will be a bit better if additional writers are brought in to touch up the scripts, as I personally think that a lot of the scripts for Helluva Boss feel like first or second drafts that desperately needed polishing.
As for my thoughts on Spindlehorse as a whole, it reminds me a lot of Channel Awesome. Except Viv and her inner circle are way more competent than Mike Michaud and the Walkers.
I don't have much to say regarding Valentino, as that's a topic that's been covered to death already and I have absolutely nothing new to add to it.
Though, I do find it funny how Viv doesn't seem to have an issue with the fandom shipping Valentino and Angel, but she'll totally draw the line at people who ship Andre and Stella.
She's like "I will excuse sexual assault, but I will draw the line at incest."

second tag meme and also from @ravenkinnie: book recs!
no time to spare / ursula le guin / i've been slowly trying to make my way through her essay collections and this is one i really love so far. i also read words are my matter but that one had some of her more questionable political stances so i enjoyed this one bc it was focused on more generic and personal topics
good intentions / kasim ali / i would honestly highly recommend this to south asians specifically bc i don't think i've seen any other book that holds south asian millennials accountable for their tendency to damn their parents to inflexibility from the outset and then fail to hold themselves accountable for never challenging traditional mindsets. this book specifically deals with anti-blackness within the south asian community and i think it does a fantastic job of it (please wait until the end bc it does end as it deserves to end but for a moment you will get worried towards the middle that it won't go that way lol. trust me)
the king of attolia / megan whalen turner / obv i would rec the queen's thief series in general but this is by and large my favorite of the whole series (well. bar the sixth book which closely ties with it) and much as i am sure everyone loved this series the most when it was from eugenides's perspective i cannot help but think that i never love eugenides more than when i read about him through the perspective of those who love him dearly
each little bird that sings / deborah wiles / this was a pretty formative book in my childhood esp wrt the concept of how children process death. it's actually part of a quartet of companion novels, each of which i love dearly and one of which is actually the inspiration for my current username, but i think this one is executed the best and it also happens to be the most well known installment, definitely for good reason
supreme inequality / adam cohen / i feel like if you're not necessarily into studying the law but want to gain a better, in-depth understanding of why we are where we are right now with american law this is a good book to read. it corrects a lot of misconceptions around the idea that the supreme court was ever consistently progressive (ie severe brevity and breakdown of the social welfare oriented burger era) and discusses the evolution of judicial interpretation of major topics over the course of the last several decades
the f team / rawah arja / this came as a rec in a melina marchetta newsletter and i'm so glad it did! it's a really fun and messy look into life as a lebanese-australian boy and what i think it does well is not shy away from culturally ingrained flaws, rather seek to dissect and understand them and highlight how crucial an emotionally mature and communication-dependent upbringing is for young muslim/arab boys. there are a few jokes here and there that caught the side eye from me bc they felt severely lacking in self-awareness but other than that i really enjoyed it
the piper's son / melina marchetta / my favorite marchetta novel forever and always, and the second installment in the inner west trilogy of companion novels, following saving francesca. what i really adore about this one is the interplay of grief between so many people and this guilt you have to overcome over the impact of the death of a loved one on your life. bc sometimes it utterly tears you apart and other times it brings you together and the emotions of that are so horribly complicated. i also simply adore the continued exploration of the main friend group and how as harsh as the girls are on tom they are so protective and dedicated, too, bc that's how they all are with each other. it's a book that constantly makes me ache
beloved / toni morrison / interestingly i find this book to be highly relevant considering the recent abortion fiasco in the american legal scene and its relation to abusive domestic situations but it's also one of the books i loved reading the most in undergrad particularly bc of its brutal exploration into how oppressed peoples are driven to self-inflicted violence as a last resort. can you blame a woman for killing her child when the only other option was damning that child to a life of slavery? it's a situation that has to be analyzed with so much empathy and compassion and that's exactly what morrison affords it
the secret garden / frances hodgson burnett / one of two other books i loved reading the most in undergrad (with the third one being north and south). i read this for a british literature class that i took at a time i was severely starting to doubt my degree again after having already gone through a really rough depressive period following jonghyun's death so it really opportunely entered my life. i remember reading the magic monologue towards the end and just crying and crying bc it felt so liberating and while the rest of my undergrad journey was not necessarily a total high i do think this helped comfort me a lot

Just saw your newest posts about Dan Vs so would you mind sharing those I need my daily dose
Of Dan Vs thoughts? Sure. Here's some random thoughts & hcs. got a little long oops (I can't remember how to do read more on mobile...)
- Mr. Mumbles is immortal. why? Who knows, but it's a silly cartoon so I get to hc the cute kitty as immortal, alright?
- I've seen ppl joke about dan vs """cancel culture""" but the thing is, I think he'd be all for it. I think he'd find it funny. I mean the dude has his own version of a call out list.
- Dan has hypermobility (1. He mentioned having a double jointed thumb 2. I have hypermobility and I say so)
- Chris is pansexual but doesn't realize it until later in life, he honestly had just not thought about it too hard & had only had a few relationships prior to getting married kinda young, all with women, until something leads to him realizing his feelings for Dan are not entirely platonic & it's just like. Oh.
- Dan on the other hand is pretty openly bisexual, he has a preference for men(projecting 🤪) but has (... slightly) better luck with women (men are more likely to want to kill him)
- something, that's not a life or death situation that gets magically reset, prompts Elise to tell Chris the truth about her job. because I hate the fucking person can't tell their partner they're a spy/agent/superhero/what the fuck ever trope it Feels Bad Scoob and Chris has expressed sometimes feeling a lack of communication between them in the show which ):
- speaking of Elise finds out Chris is part bear but in like the most casual way possible
Elise: I'm thinking of making Chris see a doctor, he gets sluggish and strangely irritable during winter months which makes me wonder if he might have seasonal depression.
Dan: nah, that's just the bear part of his DNA
Elise: the. the what.
- Dan and Elise both have C-PTSD (I don't think I have to explain why Dan does, Elise's is from basically being trained as a child soldier & just that she's likely experienced many traumatic things during her job), Elise copes with it mildly better than Dan but she's mostly just better at putting up a front of normality
- also Dan is obviously autistic. he's undiagnosed and doesn't realize until he's in his 20s or 30s. The discovery of noise cancelling headphones make his life a little bit easier
- Chris is also neurodivergent in some way but I haven't narrowed down the flavor yet 😭
- Dan is a trans man this is fact in my head I won't accept anything else, I have like tried to work out timelines and shit just to make it all fit within canon(yes I know most ppl just go screw canon but I just like making things work within it, I'm weird like that). I can't decide if he's had top surgery(post-job at the chicken place, hence the funny note about it) or he just naturally had a small chest and testeorone "masculinized"(for lack of a better word) it somewhat (cause I did prior to going on multiple medications that I could sometimes pass as having a flat chest). He doesn't want bottom surgery cause he doesn't see the point (slightly nsfw: "until they can give me synthetic semen and a prostate I'm not interested"). again mostly projecting there lmao
EDIT: in case this wasn't clear, I mean he sees no point in it for himself, not that he thinks nobody should have bottom surgery
- Dan is a closeted romantic. This is hinted at in canon imo, the thing with the anger management lady is clearly a metaphor for wanting more than a fling. Dan seems to take his romantic attraction to people very seriously, like with Hortence despite not interacting with her much. also his face when Honey kissed him. he's just secretly a big sap who wants to be loved
- Dan is a catboy in spirit. I say in spirit because he has no idea what a catboy is but he's just sooo kitty cat coded. knocks things off tables when annoyed. plays with toilet paper. claws and bites. I hc he meows as a stim with Mr. Mumbles sometimes. Also he hisses at people.
- I know what Chris said in the family cruise ep but I like to think Chris does actually think of Dan as family, mayhaps the holding out the hand scene was a acceptance or realisation of that, maybe that's what the thing he was going to say but forgot towards the end was. this isn't even really a buddyshipping thing it's just that me personally if my best friend didn't consider me family I'd want to jump off a cliff(/j) so I can't handle the thought (seriously though what was Chris going to say. It haunts me.)
- I'll end this on a fuzzy feelings self indulgent headcanon. Dan, Chris and Elise(+ Mr. Mumbles) become a weird little family of ther own. Dan and Elise are like frenemies, who share the same partner, but also deep down they care for each other. platonic love/hate relationship <3

And I still hold true if there is a sacrifice, it'll likely just be a fakeout at best. (I know there's probably a few candidates in people's minds, but I can't see this story warranting any actual deaths. Not with this adaption.)
Both terms can fall over each other; but I do see your point.
Oh sure, no dramatic theater tiers of performance. But I definitely sense some tears coming on his part, maybe an existential crisis and thrown objects too. (They both have at least one serious conversation left, Sonic better make it count.)
If there's a character who'd have a strong response to his counterparts that could potentially tilt the 3rd Act, it's going to be Nine. It's just whether it's negative or throws him seriously for a loop. (Plus Mangey and Sails seem kinda lost when they saw him too; too struck to even say anything.)
I saw another conclusion that Sails could be Tails' sense of adventure too? But I think loyalty is a bigger trait of Tails. (Maybe not "F Sonic", but maybe that he came back for Nine? As he did the pirate crew? Projection aside, can we really say Sonic didn't genuinely care for Nine?) I think a "Thank you" is more likely than outright forgiveness should the two make up. There's a fairly big chance they won't see each other after this whole thing is over, so a compromise could possibly be scraped up should push come to shove. But yeah, there needs to a mutual, equal resolution. Nine shouldn't be forced to forgive Sonic, but Sonic needs some self-reflection before he dare confronts the fox.
They seem to focus on one big counterpart per universe. Nine, Dread, and Thorn{though Rusty is arguable}, probably cause they're the most unlike the original. (On the surface anyway.) Also, wouldn't Nine and Sails be a least bit curious about the other's mechanical appendages?
Hmm, yeah, that makes sense, I guess we'll see.
Oh, I didn't even think of Mangey and Sails's reaction... I was mostly thinking forward, what they would think when they find out Nine had stolen the shards and everything.
Actually I was thinking about the sense of adventure thing too. Sort of. I was thinking of it in terms of "What if each world represents not a part that the character has, but something that they lack?" Like for Tails it would be: Red– companionship& community; Green– the tech lol; Blue– adventure. But I didn't really go anywhere with this idea.
Yeah, Sonic does care for Nine, but I think I'm not explaining what I mean very well. I don't want Sails to be like "Well at least Sonic isn't a traitorous rat like Dread, at least he actually cares about you" either, because I feel like it's a little guilttrippy? Like "Yeah, Sonic hurt you, but at least he cares about you! It could have been worse! You should forgive him and not be a brat about it". Because no matter how much Sonic cares he still did damage and Nine has a right to be upset about it. (And I think Nine will make up for his portion of the conflict by helping to restore the world in the end after all)
Hmmm, I wonder if it's really true or if we just guessed it this way and run with it?
Oh yeah, Sails wanted to check out Sonic's regulators, and Nine made them! It would be a pretty cool way to break the ice. (And I still have no idea why Sails needs a third hand, it's so random!)

Absolution
Summary: 3 moments during Sponge's "retirement" that shaped them into the person that they always wanted to be.
[3 out of 3 drabbles celebrating Sponge Day (the date of their creation). I hope you all enjoy the Sponge Lore drop!]
---
---
From the moment that their ship hastily departs from Kaminoan space, it suddenly occurs to Sponge that they have absolutely no goddamn idea what they are doing.
They packed up some supplies, their loyal pet barghest, 5 tubies still in their respective growth jars, and 10 atypical cadets into a singular transport. They then proceeded to flee without so much as a plan or destination set in mind.
It's classical 501st. It's very Fives-chic.
Sponge barely manages to restrain themself from bashing their face in on the ship's main console. They can't help but to scream internally however. Their day has officially done a 180º turn from the worst moment in their existence, to absolute idiocy and lack of foresight on their part.
Obviously they had wanted to do something, anything, to finally get some control over their life. A desire that meshed well with the urge to get revenge for the sheer atrocity they'd been forced to help commit.
Their hands may not be stained with the blood of younglings like many other vode, but they had facilitated those deaths by incapacitating the older Jetiise at the temple. As such their conscience is substantially weighted down with those deaths. The guilt is theirs to carry by proxy.
Surely in taking these cadets away from Kamino, they were exacting a form of retribution against the Empire?
There was no doubt in their mind the cadets were all slatted for decommissioning. Saving them had been a no-brainer. They deserved to have their chance in the sun.
The tubies had been more of a last minute decision...
Oh, who are they kidding? All of this was a last minute decision. They were being recklessly impulsive. Worse yet, they were putting 15 children in mortal danger by doing this... There had to be a better solution...
Glancing back at the group of cadets huddled in the corner with Beautiful in the middle keeping watch, they can't help but slowly relax. They look oddly at peace, despite everything that's just transpired.
Escaping certain death had likely helped sooth them to sleep.
Maybe they'd be able to find some kind of answer soon. The ship had plenty of fuel until then.
-
Altering the cadets's scrubs was originally intended to be a form of disguising their origins, rather than a show of affection. Or at least disguise them as much as physically possible, considering they all had the same facial features. Sponge could only rely on the "these are my sister's decuplets I'm looking after" story so many times before someone inevitably saw through that lie...
Once they're all old enough to go through puberty, it'll be even harder to hide what all of them are.
Most civilians in the wider galaxy saw clones as faceless fleshdroids encased in armour. Not many were privy to what they looked like, since even karking Jango Fett had preferred to keep his face hidden from the general public whenever he could. But there had to be enough vode out there trying to hide in plain sight, that one or two communities could memorize their shared face. Commit their facial features to memory so as to better increase their chance of selling off defectors to the Emprire.
Sponge can't risk that. Won't ever risk that. They can't let these little ones die for nothing. So they start small, by altering the only clothes they currently have, and giving them their own distinct haircuts.
They do not expect them to brighten up so much at the idea of customization.
"I want a dress! A pale blue dress!" Bonesy bounces on the balls of her feet while clinging to their pantleg. Her hair is starting to curl over her ears, and she told them she wanted to grow it out as long as possible so she could feel like a "real girl". They reassure her she already is one.
"Whatever is most practical will do, sir." Sixer taps all 12 of his fingers together before playing with his thumbs, a nervous habit they've made note of in the past. They had already promised themselves they would make him a fidget toy of some kind to help with his instances of clear anxiety.
"Maroon hood... Please..." Amoeba is not one for many words. The polite and shy smile on his face is refreshing when compared to the boisterous nature of the great majority of siblings. Sponge can't help but to ruffle what would one day be a fully fledged mohawk. They'd shaved the sides yesterday and the young boy had smiled so brightly it was like looking at the sun.
"Short sleeves get less messy. Maybe... Buttons? To keep them in place?" Pragmatic as ever, Cartoons is well aware of how much of a mess he's going to make out of anything he wears with his artistic talents. So he chooses practicality like his older brother. He's been sketching everyone's requests, trying to provide some form of visual reference for them to work off of. It's very useful.
"We can make our own! We've always loved to mend!" Both Patchwork and Ragdoll chorus as they look up at them with excited twin smiles. They have the sewing kit they'd managed to barter for at the market. Once they'd seen it their eyes had immediately widened with glee at the prospect of getting their hands on it.
One by one they all voice what they want their clothes to be like. Outfit after outfit they (with the help of the twins) create for them with what fabric they can recycle or find. With each one they complete, the respective owner seems more like themself. It fits them perfectly, just as they'd intended.
They all thank Sponge. Hug their legs, stare up with such a bright spark in their eyes that it makes them go a little flustered. They'd never been complimented for their suturing before. It's such an odd thing to think about.
What's really happening flies over their head for a while longer.
It takes them about a month or two for Sponge to suddenly realize that they are now a buir. Something that they had never assumed to be a possibility after everything they'd gone through and done. All the mistakes and regrets...
It was a chance that had been biologically stolen from them after the Kaminoans cut them open and messed with their reproductive system, until they were deemed "normal enough" to be put to service under the GAR.
The cloners hadn't cared for what they had to say about it. Hadn't much cared for the concept of body autonomy in their products at all. Instead they had carelessly destroyed their fertility and crushed Sponge's hopes of siring (if they had simply found a good enough female partner) or even baring (a much more intimate and arguably strange desire for a mostly male presenting clone) children.
Adoption had been an option of course but, after the order went out and partaking in the temple march, did they really deserve such a chance?
Nurturing younglings was not something a monstrous fuckup like them deserved to ever be able to do. Not when they'd left the Jetii younglings to die by the hand of their many brothers and sisters that they had abandoned to their fate. And then of course they'd prioritized finding the little ones homes. Been quite successful in finding good homes that wouldn't ask too many questions. They were even down to two tubies.
The cadets were old enough that they didn't need to rush finding them a home until they could be sure they were all ready to integrate into civilian life. Sponge had assumed they'd never voiced a desire to leave anytime soon because they were willing to wait for the perfect one. It turns out they hadn't been waiting at all. The little ones had simply already found a home with them.
They were a buir of 10 young children. 10 children who loved and appreciated them, despite their flaws. Who trusted them with power over their own identity and self-image.
The knowledge quells a terrible pain in their heart and makes it swell with an all consuming love and protectiveness that they promise to stand by for the rest of their life. No matter how short it may be.
Their ade, their precious aliit, are all that matters to them.
-
Strangely enough, Sponge becomes the go to person for new clone parents to seek advice from. It is absolutely and astoundingly bizarre, considering their reputation. Also very much their own fault.
They'd thrown a surprise adoption on Dogma and wished him good luck. From there on out, obviously the rest of the Guard Remnant concluded that Sponge had the most experience out of any other clone in terms of the "do"s and "don't"s of parenting.
They had raised 10 kids of their own in one go without a guide of any kind. "Obviously" they knew what they were doing.
It didn't help that every clone on Epifania apparently knew how to find their farmhouse. And, as loathsome as it was to be bothered when they preferred not to be, they couldn't help but smile and indulge their vode whenever they got to see the adiik they were raising.
They loved being a ba'vodu just as much as they loved being a buir.
It is quite something, to get to meet so many children that were born of an actual mother and a clone parent. One could even call it a very unique experience.
They'd wondered for many years if perhaps their genetics would taint any offsprings sired by the vode. A concern that wasn't too outlandish, all things considered. Their accelerated aging or nature as clones could, in some messed up way, contaminate whatever newborn came out of a natborn mother.
The nightmare of babies potentially coming out as just another form of clone had terrified them. Likely had terrified the clone parents as well. They had never been made for this sort of life. Softness and a love for child-rearing was not a part of their training.
It is unsurprising then that Sponge had thought a lot about pregnancy in their relatively short lifetime. Obsessed with it a little. Done so to such a degree that Pitch was better equipped to help with maternity based services. The new parents didn't need to be a target of Sponge's fascinations for the subject.
Not that any of them could blame them for such a reaction. To see the next generation of ade, so complex and unique in their own right... It's history in the making.
A chance for legacy.
Seeing so many little humans with shared vode and natborn physical characteristics? Hell, seeing so many of them that had these distinct clone features who were also hybrids?
It filled them with newfound hope for the future. Hope that maybe many clone lifetimes from now, they would not be forgotten by the galaxy after all. A part of them would forever live on in their descendants.
Sponge's own children, their Spongelings as Lich often called them, were already adolescents. Soon to be young adults that were looked at with reverent adoration and love from their little cousins.
Tulpa had the most contact with them out of all of them, since Dogma visited as often as he could to chat with them. He was already nearing 6 and starting to enter the pre-pubescent phase of his growth cycle. The little rugrat ran around with Dog at his heel, following each and every one of his cousins, emulating their behaviors and seeking their example. Learning from them.
And Sponge couldn't help but grin at the thought of their ade being seen as role models.
They had become a buir during a very difficult period in their life. They knew they hadn't done everything right. And yet Sponge had been blessed with 10 intelligent and well adjusted ade that they were proud of and loved very much.
It was a shame they were growing up so quickly. It was a shame all of them were aging so quickly.
But the fleetingness of life didn't make Sponge cherish their time with their ade, vode and nephews and nieces any less. If anything, it made every second, every hardship, every drink or meal shared, every night where they told them a story and then kissed them goodnight, all the more worth it.
It was through their little ones that they'd live on. Just as it was through them that Sponge had finally become the person they'd always wanted to be.
They think with confidence, that Jelly would have been proud of them for getting where they are today.

I remember on my old blog saying we shouldn't glorify wrestlers who work through serious injuries (and I still stand by that). But I think that trend will be very hard to squander if the mentality of "keep on trucking" is ingrained in all forms from the indies to television. (TW: details of in-ring death below).
TLDR : I love pro wrestling. I really do. Part of that love is wanting to see the wrestlers thrive and pursue what they want while also taking care of themselves and those around them so they can stay as healthy as they can be. On a larger scale like a show with a syndicated broadcast, that requires structures and protocols for when injuries happen during a match, especially when the wrestler might push to keep going in spite of sustaining one that could be exacerbated or outright debilitate them on the spot.
Stevie Richards said it best, "We will never stop, we will die in the ring, we have such a wiring in our minds." I obviously can't confirm the whole statement as an art student who merely makes art about wrestling, but yes, people have died in the ring, Plum Mariko, Owen Hart, Mitsuharu Misawa. There is a Wikipedia article called "List of premature professional wrestling deaths". Sure, not all of them are related to in-ring incidents or subsequent conditions from such. But it's chilling to find the youngest one on the list being Janet Wolfe, who died from a brain hemorrhage on July 28th, 1951 after (allegedly) rupturing a vein in her stomach and still wrestling a day later in spite of claiming a massive headache prior to the match. She was 18.
From my perspective, I will always say that pro wrestling, above all else, is a communal art form. Everybody who goes into that ring has their role to play, but they all have one universal job: to look out for each other. And that's why the referee, as a third party, is important. The wrestler, or their opponent, may think they're fine, but as someone who is not doing the actual wrestling in the match, the referee also has to check in and see if a wrestler can continue. If it's best to stop the match because they literally can't keep going or they're at risk of making whatever they sustained even worse? Stop the match and get the medics.
As a promotion with a massive budget and a regular television schedule, AEW has no excuse for not having a solid protocol for in-ring injuries. What happened on Dynamite this week is one of the times where the match still kept going, and none of them knew what it could have been. Could have been a concussion, could have been a slight spike, could have been a broken neck. And the way that match ended was terrible (another driver, similar to what caused the concussion and pinfall). They should have either organized a quick roll up finish or just stopped the match, and if it was something like a concussion, formally vacated the championship.
The IWC uses the phrase "concern trolling" for when people say AEW should have its own training facility, there should be authority in stopping a match when someone is injured, or in response to the statement, "It won't stop until someone dies" when a wrestler potentially hurts themselves on a risky spot. Historically, and to be blunt, it hasn't stopped even if someone died, and that lack of change in response to wrestlers dying or sustaining life-altering injuries on the job is harrowing. Of course injuries happen regularly and there is no way of preventing every single possibility in the universe of one. Doesn't mean that there should be no* extensive measures in place to keep the performers as safe and as healthy as they can be. The list of banned moves/moves requiring approval was a start (although the whole situation between CM Punk and Jack Perry makes it feel like there are loopholes that have been exploited). There still needs to be more that is done.
P.S. AEW taking down Stevie Richards' video that brings up the incident is something that I find to be cowardly. He speaks from personal experience, and if you haven't seen the clip floating on Tumblr, watch it, he makes a lot of good points.
Edit : *missed a word that was quite important for context.

There is so much to unpack here...
Let's first clarify a few things, I haven't said more than ten words to this cousin in the last four years. In our most recent correspondence if you could even call it that, I sent her two messages, one that Techu was dead, and the second a screenshot of the post I posted on her late aunt's FB page. All of this was about five weeks ago, she has been texting me ever since with no response whatsoever on my part. I didn't even "read" the text, so she wouldn't get a notification that her messages were received.
My lack of desire to correspond with her started when we were talking about the death of her aunt about two years ago, she said to me clearly, that she doesn't respect boundaries. I had attempted to make it clear to her that if we were to speak I didn't really wish to discuss her aunt. She said clearly that no one will tell her what she can or can not speak about. I said I respect that and ceased all communications.
Truthfully boundaries are contrived by society as a rules that allow folk to interact in a civil manner. Without them I think our relations would devolve, potentially into violence if not very hostile disagreements. If we can't concede how we will engage around certain topics, that is the basis for the proliferation of tensions, anger and resentments. I have no desire to subject myself to such negative emotions, because she has so many unresolved issues. #HardPass
Boundaries help me to keep my mental health intact, staying away from topics or people that are triggering or upsetting. There's a reason that trigger-warnings are a thing! Certain things can be disruptive to folks, and even if they are on a road to healing this can arrest any progress they have made and potentially do more harm than good.
This isn't quite my situation, but I can't pretend to have a conversation with someone about someone I literally despised for their very toxic and abusive relationship toward me. I don't have the capacity to hold their adoration and my disdain at the same time, so its best for me to just avoid the topic. But she choose not to respect my needs and I chose to disengage. If you can't honor my requirements, I don't have to fuck with you... #Facts
Next point, who said someone hated her? If anything I have a great amount of compassion for my first cousin once removed. She was sexually assaulted by her eldest brother when she was a little girl, and in my opinion that trauma has informed the rest of life, even now as a grown woman. She has never healed from the assault and it doesn't help that her mother never acknowledged that the violence actually happened. I overstand that baggage and the compounded emotional interest that can come from not processing and unpacking childhood traumas. #BeenThereGotTheTShirt
But I have never been the enemy, out of all of my father's family she was easily one of my favs. But her demons are so large they won't allow us to occupy the same space and this has always aggravated our attempts at a relationship.
Who is doing something vicious to her? I did something passive, I chose not to engage, there is nothing remotely vicious about that.
God brother? Now I am not sure if she had told me previously that my father had made her mom my god parent, that is the only way I could be her god sibling. I can't deny or confirm this because of my estrangement from her mom and my father being long dead.
Lastly, regarding her cousin, I am not sure why she thinks I would be the conduit to him. I have never played that role and if she actually spoke to her other cousins she would find that Laurie has taken on a more active role with her aunts last surviving child, and would actually be the best person to discuss my Uncle Allen.
What is so sad to me is that the mental health of all of my alleged 'family' is so poor yet in so many of their eyes, if I am even thought of, I am the person with the problem. And I realize the close lines of paranoia that my assessment and this cousins paranoia, nearly mirror each other. But I think unlike her, I have found myself slowly but surely vindicated in confirming these untoward feelings about me. I would be remiss and inauthentic to say that everyone has this position. I have noted a handful of these people who seem to genuinely care. I will acknowledge after so much betrayal from even closer quarters that it feels safest to keep everyone at a distance.

Reading about kyhuine/maanul cultures is so cool!! The amount of detail you put into your work is so impressive and I've got to ask, what are some of the uglier parts of their societies? Also, how are various disabilities viewed and approached?
thank you so much!
This is part 1 of a two-post answer, link will be at the end for the part regarding disabilities
the ugliest parts I can think of right now are when an unwanted egg can't find a home or the colony can't afford to raise a new hatchling (by that I mean the natural resources are scarce, money is never a problem because it doesn't exist) then the female who laid that egg has the choice of eating it or not. The yolk is full of nutrients so they see that as a way to regain that energy they wasted, if the egg has already developed a little (they check it by putting it in sunlight) then it will be decorated with paint and then put into a basket, that basket will be an offering to haanu or mahiiti. They will put that basket in front of a statue representing the respective goddess of one of the two species. they consider that doing this is a way for this goddess to take the life that was starting in the egg and reuse it for another animal, they see life as a cycle of birth and death where all energy is only lent in a temporal body. So like in our human eyes this is super weird to eat your own egg, for maanuls and kyhuines it's just normal because other animals do it too, it's like how hens may eat their own eggs for calcium.
Although ill be fair I don't consider this as a really ugly part of their society, more horrid parts are more present in the golden age because of inter-species conflict, but those are just events and never were a part of how their society works, Idk if this sounds clear?
A small random part that is a bit bad but understandable, is when an individual has badly maintained feathers because of a lack of hygiene or care for themselves, then they won't be welcomed by other members of the colony since both species are normally really clean.
An example to illustrate that is when it's time for the communal nap. When that individual with dirty feathers is walking around the sleeping area to find a place, other members might start hissing when it's trying to lay near them. When people are already laying down then they might even give light kicks to the dirty feathered individual so it leaves. Hygiene isn't a question of poverty or being homeless, because anything for hygiene is completely free since it's essential ( same for homes btw, anyone who wants to start a life of their own and leaves the familial house can receive or gets a home built because its a necessity) If one individual is dirty, then that's surely because they're too lazy to care about themselves properly. For example, monmartre has dusty and broken feathers because it thinks grooming itself 1-3 hours per day is a waste of time, so it results in it being nasty looking.

The Atatcuval, Zasdy, looked at the human. The human just arrived in kis mead bay with a grievous thumb imjury, and there was no hope to fix it.
"Sarah Jones," ke starts sorrowfully, "It is with great sadness to tell you that there is no fix. I am sorry." Ke looks down. News of imediate death is never easy to delive-
"Oh so you gotta cut it off," Sarah says, "okay."
Zasdy freezes. "What did you say?"
Sarah looks confused and replies, "You have to amputate my thumb don't you? It'll be weird but I trust you."
"Ms. Sarah," Zasdy sternly says, "to cut off that part of the body is to die because you cut the path of a very import nerve. People die when that limb is removed."
"That can't be true," the human states. "I lived next door to a woman that lost her arm. She lived to 96 after losing it at age 15. Me losing my thumb isn't gonna be that deadly."
Zasdy just stares at this human in medical. Ke needs a second opinion on this.
Pulling out his communicator, he contact the other medical officers. One is a Garren named Puvreanb, and the other is Paz, a human. Two reponses pop up stating that they'll be there soon.
Turing back to kis patient, he says, "I am obtaining some other advice. I will return momentarily."
"Sure thing Doc," Sarah says.
Zasdy leaves the room and waits outside. Ke wants more information about the human's lack of concern over her death.
Puvreanb arrives first, and Zasdy hands the file over to be read. Not even a moment later did grief cross his face.
Handing the file back to Zasdy, Puvreanb say, "I am sorry."
"What's up, Zasdy?" Paz asks as they walk up.
"Ms. Sarah Jones has a unfixable injury to her thumb," Zasdy answers, passing the flie over. "She is denying the end."
"So she's against an amputation?" Paz questions. They read the file for more information.
Puvreanb looks over shocked, "Paz, this is her end. There is no fix that can keep her alive with this removal."
Paz takes a deep breath. They look at the other two and ask, "Is this one of those wierd times where a simple biological function isn't shared because it is irrelevant? Like the time with the cyanide? Humans have lost thumbs and even more and just need some help back to normal."
Puvreanb and Zasdy look at each other in confusion. Zasdy says, "there is not a clear word of you to use, but a very important nerve travles from thumb to thumb and that never controls the body movement."
"And again one minor detail missed over everything else. Lossing a thumb won't hurt us just as cyanide doesn't kill you. I'll lead this amputation on Ms. Jones as i have more familiarity with human bodies," Paz orders.
Between the three of them, the amputation is successful. Sarah jones walks around the ship with a bandaged hand.
A humans prove to be a greater threat than first realized.
Compared to aliens, humans aren’t any smarter, stronger, or weirder. The only reason the Galactic Council sees us as a threat is because apparently, having disposable thumbs is nigh unheard of.
