regulus being an absolute menace when drunk, he has never heard of personal space, not with james. there is nothing that will stand between him and his man. like clingy does not cut it, he is fully attempting to climb james every chance he gets but james loves this so much, he's happy to be a tree for reg to climb, his lap's only purpose is to be a seat for reg and he does not need his hands for anything other than touching his boyfriend all the fucking time

Can you imagine how flustered James would be when he and Regulus start dating and Regulus starts actually being really affectionate and soft with him?

Like of course Regulus still teasingly bullies him (it’s one of his love languages and James loves it dw) but when he starts also complimenting him and giving him random hugs and stuff? James would melt and blush and not know how to respond.

And Regulus would love the fact he can shut James up better than anyone so he’d just do it all the time. Everyone round Hogwarts would be so confused about how The Regulus Black, who seemingly only had two moods: indifference and annoyance, suddenly started being so sweet and soft to James Potter.

He’d chase him down the halls when he forgot a textbook in his room calling for his “Sunshine” and James would be speed walking away blushing the entire time but absolutely adoring the attention at the same time.

here's the thing. under no circumstances will regulus black be caught DEAD in james potter's jersey. if u think 4 a second that guy is gonna wear someone else's name on his back? nope. nuh-uh. never never never. not to mention another teams's colours???????? the thought actually makes him SICK.

imagine regulus’ bachelor trip were he made pandora best woman and she makes everyone wear pink team groom shirts and pink cowboy hats with sparkles and honestly reg doesn’t mind because the sight of all of them with matching shirts in the airport is fucking hilarious they are in the american express lounge waiting for their flight and parents are keeping their children close and covering their ears because barty ‘bad mouth’ crouch can’t stop talking about all the absolutely not family friendly activities they will be doing that weekend

James finds Regulus reading by the Black Lake. He’s leaning against a tree and James takes a second to appreciate how beautiful he looks before he sighs and walks over.

“Hey.” James says.

“Shit! You scared me, Potter.” Regulus startles. “What do you want?”

James takes a deep breath with a sad smile. “I just wanted to say sorry. I’ve…erm… I’ve been kind of bugging you lately, so I wanted to apologize.” James tells him. Regulus closes his book and stands up but doesn’t say anything. “I sort of thought… er… I thought our ‘banter’ was maybe… er… flirting.” James admits awkwardly. “But I think I misread the situation. I understand that you’re not interested, and I’ll respect that, and I won’t bother you anymore.” Regulus stares at James with an unreadable expression but still doesn’t say anything. James rubs the back of his neck and avoids eye contact for a moment. “Right. So, I’ll just… I’ll just go. Sorry.” He says again and turns and walks away.

James gets about halfway back to the castle before he hears Regulus. “Wait!” James immediately turns around and Regulus is much closer than he thought. He runs right into James’ chest and James instinctively reaches out and grabs Regulus’ forearms to steady him. James keeps his hands on Regulus’ arms, and they gaze at each other for a moment before Regulus breaks the silence.

“It was flirting.” Regulus says quickly. “I’m just really bad at it… We can keep… erm… bantering?” He winces and slowly pulls his arms away as they stare at each other for another quick moment. “Okay. Bye.” He says suddenly and turns on his heel and swiftly walks away.

James is left frozen for a minute before he processes what just happened then a giant grin spreads across his face.
