Ch 3 came and went; why did they have to keep adding "lifeless/cold/dead" whenever they mentioned Taka's body 😭😭😭 like please, i get it he's dead stop reminding me ;-;

I HAVE FINISHED DR1 AT LAST!! It was quite a ride, let me tell you that. Naegi's little hope speech was something i kinda needed tbh; going thru some stuff in my life rn and it kinda helped to have someone else give me that hope lmaooo

and also, there’s a bonus game/dating sim thing??? i’m gonna play the shit out of that then mwhuahahah anything to see taka and mondo living and breathing again... ;-;

anyway, ch 6 had me thinking thoughts about the game and i have things i noted in my head:

it was established that Mondo got turned into butter during his execution, so that would mean his tangible body doesn’t exist anymore... right? but like when we unlock the bio lab/morgue, there’s the detail that there’s supposed to be 10 bodies bc 10 people should’ve died but there is actually 9 bodies. wouldn’t there be 8 bodies then since Mondo’s body doesn’t exist in human form anymore?? does this mean he never actually got turned into butter? going by this logic, that would also mean taka starved himself for nothing and that shit makes me sad as all hell ))):

speaking of bodies in the morgue, wouldn’t it have been easier if we examined all the bodies in the morgue to really narrow down the mastermind’s identity? that would’ve saved us the trouble of that chunk of the trial where we had to prove the mastermind was junko, but i guess that would’ve ruined the fun of the trial

that ends dr1 for me, just in time too since i go back to “school” tomorrow. i am really excited to play sdr2 tho; i know much less about the events of sdr2 than dr1, and even way less of dr3. hopefully i’ll get to it soon!!

ive been hacking away at the School Mode on dr1 and it’s equal parts tedious and fun to play. this is like what, my 4th playthrough?? and i’ve yet to make progress on stealing anybody’s hearts )^:< i just now filled out everyone’s report cards so hopefully that will start leading me somewhere. collecting stuff is a bitch btw, especially if the item you need to obtain is low on the list of items to be found in certain areas; frustrates me sm ))^’:<

soon... soon, things will fall into place... i just need to continue levelling up their skills before i can make actual “plot” progress... i say as i rub my hands together evilly

i... i finished trial 2 and needless to say, i am devastated.

I mean like i definitely saw it coming (i watched the anime years ago) but id be lying if i said it didnt hurt any less. They deserved so much better tho like 😔😔😔

To answer my previous post: i didnt cry during the ordeal but i will cry if i think about it or mention it. It hurts so bad yall imma go cry now ✌🏼😔

Finished ch 4, im making my way thru ch 5 and WOWWZA things picked up quick

Seems like a good halfway point to really go through my thoughts on points in the game so far; so here are some thoughts ive accumulated over these past chapters that i either had in these 2 chapters or thoughts i forgot to note in my other posts when playing dr1:

WHY!! CANT!! I!! GIVE TAKA!! MONDO'S JACKET!!! I absolutely went apeshit when i couldnt do it and i think they shouldve let us �� cowards, that's what they are

This is so immature of me... with that in mind, when we do the closing statement theres that panel where hifumi wraps taka's body in that blue tarp right? It... it kinda looks like a penis BAHAHA sorry not sorry

I like how Celeste's VA drops that vague European accent for her when her real name gets called out; not sure if it was intentional or not but ive noticed how her accent changes whenever she speaks certain words kinda like how Celeste kinda concocted this identity that hints at not being the real her, so to speak. Regardless, it was a nice touch imo

Wow, Hina really boutta take us all with her to our graves. I respect that

I send my condolences to any sakura stans; she truly is a queen and i am absolutely blown away by her mental fortitude and kindness 😔

I never really took the time to appreciate the artwork featured in the game but after scouring through the little extras tab and viewing the galleries, i am absolutely enamored by the detail gone into these cutscenes like holy moly this is so well done!! Ive always admired artists and their unique art styles and this is no different! I especially love how they shade their works

Its always bothered?/intrigued? me how quickly most of these characters handle these deaths (w/ the exception of taka) like i guess i understand that they gotta get over it quick for the sake of plot advancement but it kinda irks me how they just... kinda get over it so easily?? Have we forgotten that they're still like, teenagers essentially? Idk maybe they go thru this more thoroughly in the other games

So i recently bought the dr trilogy last month and i finally got around to playing it yesterday

Finished trial 1 and wow it was an experience; much more enriching than the animation. Wish me luck on trial 2 tho 😰 idk if im gonna cry or not
