And obviously they can't take ANY chances, so it's always a 50/50 on whether the night ends with the fam huddled in the medbay of the cave, or whether all of them are fully costumed, weapons sharpened and ready to throw hands in Jason's apartment and Jason's just casually lounging on his couch like "Oh hey guys, I'm out of flour, can one of you run to get some?" with the most annoying shit-eating grin you've ever seen.

Post conquest AU, where Sakura has to marry one of the two Nohrian princes in order to solidify the peace between the two nations. Sakura is vengeful towards Nohr due to the deaths of her brothers and how tortured Hinoka is since she inherited the crown completely unprepared to lead her war torn nation. Au Sakura isn’t concerned about the marriage, but of wrecking havoc in Nohrian court.

My thought process drawing this:

named after the roman goddess of fate, FORTUNA is the debut album by the s-pop girl group, the fates. the album is filled with lush, unique melodies that perfectly compliments the women’s ethereal and peculiar charms. FORTUNA opens with an unbelievably dreamy and almost fairytale-like intro that melts into an euphorically rich and punchy deep-house title track. the album also includes songs ranging from calming bossa nova, upbeat saccharine pop, and r&b-tinged lullabies. the album itself perfectly captures the intense curiosity, nervousness, and giddiness of the three goddess-like figures and their hopeful late summer rendezvous with the oblivious morals they have observed from far, far away for their entire lives. one could only wonder for how long will these feelings of joy and wonder could last for these inquisitive deities before they have the chance to interact with the very same humans whose lives they have heavily impacted in both wonderful and terrifying ways.

there’s something so personal about the scene in fantasy high s1e7 where gorgug calls himself stupid & fabian, who up to that point had basically entirely been acting like the bad kids (especially gorgug) were beneath him & had also been the one calling ragh stupid two lines ago, instantly says “okay, do not put yourself down like that. don’t you dare do that to yourself.” like it was obvious he liked the bad kids at that point but the instinct to protect his friends manifesting as an immediate strong refusal of gorgug’s self-deprecating talk kills me. that boy loves his friends so bad oh my god i feel sick.

A Fishy First Date

kageyama tobio x reader words; 1071 synopsis; a favor gone wrong, or hilariously right. kageyama believed it to be the latter.

“How do you feel about going on a date with my cousin?” Nishinoya asked calmly, which was the first sign to Kageyama that something was extremely wrong here.

“A date with your cousin?” Kageyama spun the volleyball around in his hands, he was going to start his cool down but was intercepted by Nishinoya’s request.

“Yeah, she’s pretty cool. But hasn’t been on a date before, so like, I was wondering if you could take her out on one. You know, as your favorite third year it would mean a great deal.” Nishinoya examined his nails, before looking back to Kageyama.

Kageyama thought about it, and didn’t say anything.

“3, 2, 1, Okay thanks for taking her on a date, no take backs!” Nishinoya blurted out and ran out of the gym, his shoes squeaking slightly against the floor. Kageyama just stared at the space where Nishinoya had previously occupied. As much as he wanted to tell Noya that he wouldn’t do it, his sense of pride was too strong for him not to take the girl on a date.

He just didn’t expect her to be so cute.

Hinata had explained to Kageyama that he should take her on a memorable date, something that would make her remember it vividly. Seeing as Kageyama was both a second year, and his wallet practically had flies fly out of it when he opened it, Kageyama knew he couldn’t do anything too crazy for the date. So, he settled for the aquarium.

Sitting on the bench inside the aquarium, Kageyama looked around for the girl he had been texting frequently.

Nishinoya thought that it would be better if his cousin didn’t know about the little arrangement, so Nishinoya gave Kageyama her number and told him to make conversation. At first it was awkward, trying to avoid why he had her number and making his introduction. Soon the stumbles of beginning interactions turned into a flowing friendship.

Even so, Kageyama actually started to worry over asking her out on a date. But he reasoned that he was doing it as a favor to Nishinoya.

“Kageyama?”

Even her voice is pretty, he thought. From the way his family name rolled off her tongue and lightly left its mark on her lips.

“Yeah, hey.” Kageyama held out his hand, but she just pushed his arm down and gave him a big hug. That’s when the family resemblance clicked with Kageyama. He cleared his throat and smiled lightly.

“It’s nice to see the person that I’ve been talking to for all this time.” He offered his thoughts as bait for her to take.

“Definitely. Now c’mon! I want to see the jellyfish!” She grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the large tank.

As she peered over the glass to stare at the creatures, Kageyama stuffed his hands in his pockets and smiled at her even though she couldn’t see his face. After the jellyfish, Kageyama took the chance to take her to the touch pool, knowing that she liked stingrays a lot from how she talked about them when they texted three or so weeks ago. She rolled up her sleeve and ran her fingers against the smooth backs of the stingrays.

“Are you going to even try and touch them?” She asked, putting her wet hand on her hip, ignoring the way her shirt became slightly damp and stuck against her skin. Kageyama shook his head.

“Animals don’t tend to like me very much.” He admitted with his face heating up.

He found it embarrassing how easily he was able to say the truth without a mask of false confidence around her. She stuck out her tongue slightly, biting it in a thoughtful manner.

“A stingray is technically a fish. If that makes a difference. Here, there’s no reason to be scared.” She took his hand and placed her hand over his and submerged both of their hands under the water. When a stingray floated up closer to his hand Kageyama tried to pull his hand out, but she just pressed back down and made him touch the wing.

The rich, delicate skin of the stingray was cold and almost freezing when Kageyama’s fingers skimmed the wing.

“How is it so smooth?” Kageyama asked, facing her, and when he did, he realized just how close she was to him. He liked that she was this close to him. He forgot that this date was supposed to be a favor, because he thought that a favor for someone shouldn’t cause him this much joy.

“I don’t know, but it's wicked awesome isn’t it?”

He liked that she talked to him like she was happy about life. She spoke like the world was made of endless ways to be joyful. The opportunities to be satiated were endless.

After the aquarium, he decided to prolong his time with her by taking her to get ice cream. When Kageyama had accidently got his strawberry ice cream on his nose, she laughed and wiped away the food with her thumb. Kageyama may or may not have bumped her elbow when she went in for more of her own ice cream so he could do the same.

“Thanks for asking me out on this date.” She swung their interwoven hands back and forth as Kageyama showed her around a park he grew up around.

“Thanks for letting me take you out on one.” Kageyama squeezed her hand. And she squeezed back twice, causing him to chuckle at her antics.

“This was actually my first date.” When Kageyama opened his mouth, she covered her face and interrupted him, “Just forget I said that okay? Goodness, I find ways to embarrass myself all the time.”

Kageyama removed her hands from her face, lifting her chin so she could meet his gaze.

“It was my first date too.” He was being honest. “But I want my second and third, and fourth, and fifth, and a bunch of others. I want them to all be with you.”

Maybe watching all those dramas with his older sister did have an effect on his ability to smooth talk. He would have to tell Miwa all about the date.

“What about your first kiss?” She stood on her tiptoes, pressing her hands onto his chest.

“Haven’t had one yet.”

“Since you gave me my first date, how about I give you your first kiss?”

“Seems fair to me.”

really love how throughout a lot of smith and jones martha is really skeptical and apprehensive towards ten (+ one of my favorite exchanges between them - "what, people call you 'the doctor'?" "yeah?" "well, i'm not. far as i'm concerned, you've got to earn that title."), not taking everything he says at face value, even doubting the fact he's an alien until over halfway through the episode.. And like. i really truly think the thing that wins her over isn't him kissing her or any of the other insane mixed messages he manages to send, it's this scene here, where he /earns that title/ in her eyes:

(+ david's bit in the commentary, where he says: "[the doctor] has actually sacrificed himself, and - i would say, that that final act of selflessness is what finally, eventually, welds martha to him. [...] and she now returns it. she returns that act of selflessness.")

this is what their relationship is built on. it isn't about martha being the second-best replacement to rose or a rebound or whatever. bc it isn't really about rose. it's about doctor-in-training martha meeting someone (quite literally, "the doctor") whose ideals she aspires to, and doing her best to be the same person to him as he is to everyone else. it's about ten in return admiring her intelligence and inquisitiveness and how she cares for human life, recovering his compassion, letting himself lean on her for support - and then remembering at the most inopportune moments that he's supposed to not need anyone and be on his own forever. And around in their little nightmare loop they go where they save each other over and over until one of them breaks

i've seen ppl look at martha and go "why she does she admire/why is she so in love with ten if he acts like that to her?" or something along those lines and like. it's not just the fact she's in love with him (in fact i'd argue she actively tries to push it aside post-gridlock). it's the fact that she knows he's the kind of person to put everyone else's lives/well-being over his own. she trusts him to save her when she's in trouble even though it's been like two days at most that they've known one another bc she recognizes that same "deep all-encompassing drive to help others" in him. and she also recognizes, much much earlier than him, that he needs someone to save him, especially when he's unwilling to save himself. and yeah for a bit she thinks he returns her feelings and is just playing hard-to-get, but she realizes pretty early on that this probably isn't the case, and i think that realization fully solidifies here:

(this is when she's listening to ten talk abt gallifrey). And idk it might just be me but i think this expression isn't just her empathizing with his loss. it's also guilt, for wanting something from him that he's clearly unable to give when he's wracked with so much grief. (and you see it in the next episode, where tallulah asks if they're together and martha says for certain that they're not, and that he doesn't know about her feelings for him. she keeps everything to herself bc she now knows that when he shut her flirting down at the end of 3x01 it was the genuine reaction of someone who a) isn't interested and b) is scared of getting close with someone else again)

freema described their dynamic as "she's keener than him" and i think about this all the time. martha doesn't really take what ten throws at her. what she does instead is constantly poke holes in his already-failing front of "i will show someone the wonders of the universe so i can ignore what is wrong with me". what she does is stand up and fight him when he tries to go off on his own. what she does is put aside her well-being in favor of helping someone - just like what she saw him do for the people in the hospital when they first met. tldr, that's the doctor and his doctor and rip martha you would've loved who's gonna save u now by rina sawayama
