YANDERE LUNA LOVEGOOD HEADCANONS
"Oh, hello Y/N, pleasant to see you as always'' said a soft voice behind you as you turned around to see Luna looking at you with her dazed smile on her face and yet her eyes were focused on you. "Hi Luna, what are you doing? Didn't you have your dinner? Everyone's almost leaving'' you said as you looked at her in concern as she sighed softly. "No, I'm afraid dinner would have to wait unfortunately, my things are missing and I need to find them...I suspect people are under the influence of the Wackspurts to make them behave like this'' said Luna as she sighed. You didn't have the heart to tell her that people were intentionally messing with her and you offered to help her find her stuff as she looked at you gratefully and politely declined at first but you insisted on helping her. She felt quite happy that you were willing to help her find her stuff with her as the two of you started searching around for her things. Every now and then, you'd crack a few jokes and make Luna laugh with your witty sense of humor and Luna felt herself growing more comfortable around you. She felt like she could be herself when she was around you and was glad that you weren't like the others who'd judge her for her so called weirdness
A while later Luna and you finally found her stuff and she thanked you for it as she handed you her Quibbler magazine as a way of saying thank you in her own way. She felt her heart grow warm with joy when you accepted her magazine and you told her you'd read it. Sure enough, you stuck to your word and the next day she spotted you reading the Quibbler, she felt elated. You decided to ask Luna what exactly the whole deal with the Nargles were and whether or not they really existed as she launched into a full explanation of how they were indeed real and most witches and wizards just didn't want to believe it since they were hard to find as you listened to her with rapt attention. Luna and you started growing closer to each other as Luna found herself loving your company, she loved spending time with you and wherever you were, she was always there as well
By now, you've gotten used to Luna's somewhat strange comments at times and Luna was like a little puppy who loved to follow you everywhere and wanted to be with you at all times. She tried to ignore the slight pang of hurt growing inside her chest at times whenever she spotted you talking to someone else, as she'd just remain silent and stare at them with a stoic look on her face, her usual smile would be absent while she surveys them judgingly wondering if they're a good influence for you or not. Look, Luna might be dazed at times and people like to call her an air head but she's FAR from an air head, she's a somewhat calculating and sneaky yandere, who's aware of everything going on around her. She has her sources to gather and obtain information about the other people you're spending time with and if you hang out with Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny and Neville, she won't really mind because she knows they're all right. If they're people from other houses she might have to gain more information on them and she'll start her analysis whether or not they could be a potential threat to steal you away from her
Honestly, she doesn't even know when she's started feeling like this. You've managed to enchant and captivate her, she loved everything about you and thought you were the epitome of perfection. You were so sweet, kind and caring, she felt honored to be your friend but at the same time, she wanted something more. For once, she wanted to be selfish and wanted to be even closer to you. Her feelings for you started growing more and more till they crossed a line but she was far too lost in her own little fantasy world, imagining a perfect relationship between the both of you where nothing could take you away from her. She NEEDED you with her, the thought of you being with someone else just made her upset in so many ways she couldn't even put in words. She didn't want to even imagine you being with someone else, no one else knew you like how she does
Luna might be tolerant but she feels her patience wearing thinner and thinner when more and more people start swarming around you like moths attracted to a source of light. Of course she doesn't blame you, she would never blame you for anything, you were an angel for her but the others...they had to go. She almost lost it when she overheard some Slytherin guy talking to his friends about you and how he wanted to make you his and kiss your soft lips. You didn't hear his comment and you were sitting next to Luna in the Great Hall during dinner and for the first time, she had a serious and cold expression, an expression you'd never seen on her before. "Luna, is everything okay?" you asked her gently as you placed a comforting arm on her shoulder as she mustered a small smile and nodded. How kind you were, to ensure she was feeling all right. Your sweet personality was what made her so addicted to you in the first place. "I'm fine, I assure you. Just the Wackspurts in the air you know'' she said as you smiled and nodded, already used to her comments
A few days later the Slytherin guy who was about to confess his feelings for you disappeared. 4 more people ended up disappearing as well as you grew concerned. "I imagine the Nargles have finally taken them...I would say it is a good thing, they don't spare bad people'' said Luna as she sipped her pumpkin juice and watched your reactions with a scrutinizing gaze. "How were they bad people? What did they do?" you asked her curiously, a lingering feeling of dread and panic settling inside you. "Some of them might have had skeletons in their closet...but don't worry, they won't come for you. I'll make sure of it. I'll keep you safe, you're dear to me after all'' said Luna with a small smile. You didn't need to know that she made the Thestrals attack them when she led them in the forest. She tried to control her emotions, she really did. She didn't want to resort so such circumstances but she was COMPELLED to, the circumstances were unavoidable. They were getting too close to you. Anyway, what you didn't know wouldn't hurt you. She would do whatever it takes to keep you close to her, to make you hers. Even if she had to resort to getting her hands dirty...

moonlit confessions
description: connecting with theodore nott after escaping the chaos of a slytherin rager.
pairing: theodore nott x fem!reader
contains: partying, late night confessions, drinking, mentions of alcohol, smoking.
song rec: i'm yours by isabel larosa- "nervous, trip over my words, you're so pretty it hurts."
w.c: 1.4k
an: in my slump era....
the room was a blur of motion and color, the air thick with the scent of spilled alcohol and the haze of cigarette smoke. the pulse of the music thrummed through the floorboards, setting a rhythm that seemed to dictate the movements of the slytherin students as they danced and cheered. you leaned against the cool stone wall, watching the game of beer pong unfold with a detached amusement. mattheo and blaise were a formidable team, their laughter echoing off the walls as they scored point after point, while pansy and draco's competitive banter added a sharp edge to the atmosphere. it was the kind of party that you used to love, but tonight, it all felt a bit too much.
you decided to take a break from the chaos, making your way through the crowded room, looking for a familiar face. your eyes scanned over the faces, some flushed with excitement, others with the beginnings of a hangover. lorenzo berkshire caught your gaze from across the room, his dark eyes twinkling as he leaned in to whisper something to the girl he was flirting with. you rolled your eyes and continued your search for theo, wondering if he had retreated to one of the quieter corners to escape the cacophony.
as you moved through the party, the twins, fred and george, intercepted you with mischievous grins. "looking for someone?" fred asked, his hand offering you a beer. you took it, smiling politely. "theo nott," you replied. "ah, the mysterious one," george said with a wink. "last we saw, he was playing hide and seek with a group of his adoring fans." they both chuckled, their playful teasing a welcome distraction.
you thanked them and continued your search, the music's bassline vibrating in your chest. the party was in full swing, but theo's usual charm and presence were nowhere to be found. the crowd grew denser, a mix of laughter and shouts as the game grew more intense. you felt a gentle tug on your sleeve and turned to see luna lovegood, her eyes wide with curiosity. "have you seen theo?" you asked, raising your voice over the din. she tilted her head, considering for a moment before pointing towards the balcony doors. "i think he went outside," she said, her voice delicate as ever.
you pushed through the crowd and stepped into the cool night air, the stark contrast from the stuffy room making you gasp for breath. the moon was high and full, casting a soft glow over the grounds. you spotted theo immediately, leaning against the castle wall, a cigarette hanging loosely from his lips. he looked lost in thought, his eyes fixed on the distant horizon.
his posture was relaxed, but there was a tension in his shoulders that spoke of his discomfort with the raucous festivities inside. you approached him slowly, the gravel crunching under your feet. "mind if i join?" you called out, your voice low and gentle. he glanced over, a ghost of a smile playing on his lips. "thought you'd be in there, cheering for the champs," he said, nodding towards the party.
you took a seat beside him, the cold stone wall biting into your back. "not really my scene tonight," you confessed, taking a sip of the beer that had grown warm in your hand. "yeah, me neither," theo said, taking a long drag of his cigarette. the silence between you grew comfortable, filled only by the distant sound of the party and the occasional hoot of an owl.
theo's eyes flickered to you, the embers of his cigarette casting a warm glow on his face. "you okay?" he asked, his voice genuinely concerned. you shrugged, feeling the weight of the night's expectations lifting. "just needed some fresh air," you replied, watching as he exhaled a plume of smoke. the air around you felt charged, as if the very molecules were holding their breath.
his gaze searched yours for a moment before he spoke again. "it's not easy, is it?" theo said, breaking the silence. "keeping up with all of this." you knew he wasn't just talking about the party. the unspoken understanding between you grew stronger with every shared glance. "sometimes i feel like i'm drowning," you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper.
he nodded, taking another drag of his cigarette. "i know what you mean," he said, his eyes never leaving yours. the warmth of his hand found yours, and for a moment, you felt like you weren't alone in the sea of noise and expectations. "theo," you began, but he leaned in, cutting off your words with a kiss.
his lips were warm and firm, the taste of tobacco faint on his breath. his ring clad hand slid up to grip the back of your neck, pulling you closer as if he was afraid you would slip away. you felt your heart stutter in your chest, the suddenness of the kiss taking you by surprise. but you didn't pull away. instead, you melted into him, the warmth of his embrace a comfort you hadn't realized you needed.
his thumb traced gentle circles on your skin, sending shivers down your spine. theo's other hand rested on your hip, grounding you as the world around you faded away. the music and the laughter were just a distant echo, the only sounds that of your mingled breaths and the crackle of the cigarette between you. it was a moment of pure, unadulterated intimacy, a stark contrast to the chaos of the party just a few feet away.
you pulled back, your cheeks flushed and your eyes wide with surprise. "theo," you whispered, your voice trembling slightly. he looked at you, his own eyes dark with something unreadable. "yeah?" he responded, the corner of his mouth quirking up in a smirk that was all too familiar.
you opened your mouth to speak, but the words got tangled in your throat. his beauty had always been a silent punch to the gut, leaving you struggling to breathe, let alone form coherent sentences. "you're just… so pretty," you stumbled out, your eyes flicking down to his chest, where his shirt lay open, revealing a hint of his collarbones. it was a clumsy compliment, but it was all you could manage.
theo chuckled, the sound low and rumbling. "thanks," he said, his eyes never leaving yours. he took another drag of his cigarette, the orange ember burning brightly in the dark. "you're not so bad yourself," he added with a wink. the confidence in his voice made your cheeks burn even hotter.
you fidgeted with the hem of your shirt, suddenly aware of how close you were sitting to him. the warmth of his body was intoxicating, and you found yourself leaning into it, craving more of his touch. his hand on your neck had left a trail of fire, and you couldn't help but wonder what it would feel like if he kissed you again.
the silence stretched out, filled with unspoken thoughts and racing hearts. you felt your cheeks heat up as you stumbled over your words, trying to find the right ones to express the tumult of emotions churning inside you. "theo, i… i just…" your voice trailed off, and you bit your lower lip, feeling your heart thud in your chest.
his smirk softened into a gentle smile, and he reached out to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear. the touch sent an electric jolt through you, and you leaned into it, your eyes searching his for any sign of what he was thinking. "i know," he murmured, his voice a low rumble that seemed to resonate in your very soul. "i feel the same."
you took a deep breath, the scent of his cologne and the night air swirling around you. it was a heady combination, making you feel both lightheaded and grounded at the same time. the party inside beckoned, the music and laughter a siren's call that you couldn't ignore. "we should get back," you murmured, not really wanting to leave the sanctuary of his arms but knowing that you couldn't hide away forever.
theo nodded, stubbing out his cigarette against the wall before standing up. his hand found yours, the warmth of his skin sending a jolt through you as he pulled you to your feet. "yeah, we don't want to miss the grand finale," he said, his voice teasing. you couldn't help but laugh, the tension between you easing slightly as you allowed him to lead you back into the mayhem of the party.

Sorry this is long hope you can make it <3
My Protector
Harry Potter x Reader
CW: Angst (Kinda) , Mental Problems, Mentions of blood and wounds, Mentions of Scars, Female Reader
How did you get here...As you lay on the cold hard ground of the Malfoy Manor your whole life flashes in front of your eyes. You had always been the quiet kid. Never causing drama. Never getting involved in drama. Never acting out. Hardly ever going to parties unless Harry had went with you.
Speaking of. Harry had been frantically searching for you, the moment he realized you were missing it felt like hi whole world stopped.
You didn't know that though. Not yet at least.
The lightheaded feeling began a few minutes ago. Whether it was from blood loss or dehydration was also unknown. You did know that it had been three days since you've had water and you also knew that gash in your forehead had been left unattended for quite a few hours so whichever was causing the lightheaded feeling was anyone's guess.
You heard a gasp from Luna Lovegood who was also being held captive but instead of reacting you ignored it choosing to focus on not passing out and praying to Godricks that someone helped and got you out of here...
The feeling of someones hands on your face brought you out of your haze and suddenly a fuzzy yet familiar voice was cutting through the silence
"Y/n...Y/n can you hear me?"
As your vision comes into focus your eyes widen as you realize who was knelt next to you.
"Harry..." you mumble as you weakly reach up and cup his face
He smiles weakly back, seeing you in so much pain and honestly so close to death...
"Hi sweetheart...I'm gonna get you out of here okay? Get you some help, alright?"
you nod slight and he slides one arm under your knees and the other under your upper torso. Picking you up bridal style he quickly makes his way out the things he noticed about the woman he loved more than anything was how much weight you had loss, the blood dripping down his arm from your forehead and that dazed almost lifeless look in your eyes.
He picks up the pace in his steps and as soon as the coast was clear he held you closer and floo you both off to the cottage.
------ At The Cottage ------
Harry quickly sat you down on the couch, the dizziness had took over and you had loss consciousness a few minutes prior. Molly gasps as she rushes over and helps Harry lay you on the couch.
She asses the wound on your head before quickly jumping into action and cleaning then stitching the rather deep wound
Harry stood at the end of the couch the whole time. His eyes never once leaving you as he watched Molly clean the wound and stitch you up.
He felt completely guilty for this whole thing, he had promised from the day he met you to protect you. You were nothing more than a ray of sunshine in his extremely dark life, the reason he lived was you and seeing you lay on the couch unconscious and injured absolutely broke him. He could not loose anyone else.
After Molly was finished she stepped back and walked over to Harry wrapping her arms around him in a tight motherly hug.
"She will be alright..." she mumbles softly into his hair as he begins to sob.
------ A Little While Later ------
Harry had fallen asleep sat on the floor next to the couch where you had been laid. His head rested uncomfortably on the edge as his hand gripped onto yours tightly. His whole body reacts when he feels you hand twitch slightly. His hands snap open and he quickly looks up at you right when your eyes slowly flutter open.
"Y-Y/n? Sweetheart, are you awake?" You groan softly as you reach up and feel at the now bandaged wound. Harry gently grabs your hand and pulls it back down, planting a soft kiss on your palm as he moves to sit on the edge of the bed.
"Hey...You're alright love...I'm right here..." He whisper softly as tears flood your eyes
"Harry..."
He stares at you sympathetically for a moment before, gently as possible, lifting you into his arms and holding you close to his chest. His hands rubbing up and down your back slowly as you sob into his shoulder where your head is resting.
He feels his own tears rise but he chokes them down to comfort you, something he knew you needed.
After a long few minutes you calm down and slowly sit up, ignoring the pounding that happens in your head at the movement. You hands wrap tightly around him and you stare down at him silently as he stares back before gently kissing your forehead leading you to let out a sigh and lay your head back down on his shoulder.
Harry noticed the shift in your personality. The silence that used to be replaced with constant chatter about things only Hermione could truly understand. The fear in your eyes that used to be full of light and shine. He noticed it all and it killed him...
"My love...Lets get you some food alright? And maybe some orange juice?"
He waits for your reply and when you nod he immediately stands with you in his arms and makes his way into the kitchen where he goes to place you in a chair only to be stopped when you tighten your grip and mutter out a soft "No..."
He stops in his tracks and stands back up with you in his arms, glancing down at your face
"No what love? You don't want me to put you down?" When you nod, confirming his question he sighs softly but obeys your wish and walks over to the fridge and pulls out a pitcher of orange juice that he pours into a cup and hands to you. As you sip at the juice he quickly makes a sandwich before taking a seat at the dining table and slowly feeds you the sandwich.
When you finish it a few minutes later he lets you finish the orange juice before standing and placing the dishes in the sink, letting the magic do its thing and clean the dishes, Harry makes his way down a hall and into the room Bill had given him to stay in.
He gently lays you down in the bed causing you to let out a soft whimper, he gently kisses your forehead
"Shh sweetheart, i'm right here...Let me get you some clean clothes okay?"
You hesitantly nod and he rushes off into the closet where he grabs an old shirt of his and a random pair of boxers before quickly making his way back to you where he finds you crying.
The guilt in his gut only grows and he walks over gently rubbing your back, you climb into his lap and he instantly lets you, wrapping his arms around your waist and rocking you gently as you sob.
Once you calm down he coaxes you off of him for just long enough to get you bathed and changed into the outfit before helping you into bed where he climbs in after you, letting you lay on top of him- rather uncomfortably, before holding you close as you fall asleep a few moments later.
And that is how most days go...
A few weeks passed and your physical condition had improved, the gash had almost completely healed, leaving a scar. All the bruises had faded and the small cuts had healed leaving their own small scars across your body.
Your mental health was another thing...While it hadn't worsened it really hadn't improved either...Harry could finally leave you alone but not for to long, you refused to leave the bed and talking still came very rarely for you.
Harry had left the room a few moment ago, to do something...He had said but truly you hadn't been listening.
Looking around the room your eyes land on the mirror hung on the wall, more specifically the reflection in the mirror. As you stared down your own reflection, seeing the large scar across your forehead caused disgust to rush over you in waves.
You slowly sit up in the bed letting the blanket fall to your waist, being in only your bra, all of the small scars that now littered your body were on full display. Your hands slowly ran over each of them, picking and pulling at them almost as if you were trying to get them off of you.
You were so lost in your own world that you didn't notice harry stepping into the room until you saw him in the mirror causing you to jump.
"What are you doing sweetheart?" He asks softly as he climbs onto the bed and wraps his arms around your waist after gently grabbing your hands and pulling them away from your skin
"N-Nothing..."
He clearly didn't believe you but instead of saying anything he gently pushed you back onto the bed and yanked the blanket off of you completely causing you to gasp and wrap your arms around his shoulders. "H-Harry! What are you doing?!"
He shrugs slightly as he leans down and kisses your forehead, right on the scar. "So pretty..."
Your whole body heats up as he leans down to your stomach area and presses soft kisses to each scar he could see as he mumbles praises.
"Beautiful..."
"Gorgeous..."
"Pretty..."
Any praise he could think of was flying out of his lips as he worshiped you, your face was the so ho from being so flustered that you couldn't stand it. This was exactly what you needed...That disgusted feeling melted away with every kiss and praise he gave you.
After a moment he looks back up at you, his glasses sat on the tip of his nose almost falling off. You giggle softly pushing his glasses back up his face, a smile appearing on your face for the first time in weeks.
Harry grins and moves up peppering kisses all over your face causing the small giggles to grow even more as you gently push him away
"My sweet girl" He says softly "Wanna take a walk with me? You seem in a good mood..."
You think for a long moment about the offer before ultimately nodding and slowly pulling yourself from the bed and into a standing position.
Harry smiles quickly following you out of the bed and helping you put your shoes on before putting his own on and leading you out of the cottage, the sun hitting your skin for the first time in weeks was an amazing feeling. You soaked it in for a moment before walking down the beach towards the water where you stop at the shore line letting the water wash over your sandal covered feet.
Harry slowly approaches you, wrapping his arms around your waist from behind and resting his chin on your shoulder as he gazes down on your face as you gaze out at the water
"What are you thinking about honey?"
You stay silent for a moment before leaning back against him "Our future..."
"Oh yeah? What about it?"
"I don't know...Just how- how everything is gonna end...With the war, the death eaters...he who should not be names..."
He sighs softly and kisses your cheek, before being taken you had no problem calling him Voldemort but now you were terrified..
"Nothing will happen to you again...Me, Ron and Hermione have a plane okay? Please don't worry about it..."
With a small nod you turn around in his arms and snuggle your face against his chest "How many kids do you want..?"
He looks down slightly shocked at your question before thinking for a moment "Honestly, it wouldn't matter to me...As long as I have you that's all that matters...What about you baby? How many?"
"Three...Two boys and a girl..."
He chuckles, your answer was instant with absolutely not hesitation behind it. "I'll do my best to help fulfill that dream my love..."
You giggle and slowly close your eyes as you rest against him. It finally felt like you could see a light at the end of a very dark tunnel. He had been everything you needed to get through such a rough time. Your love. Your support but most importantly your protector.
THE END
Oh. My. Goodness. I think this is my best work yet, I hope this is up to your expectations love!! And I am so so sorry it took so long to get this out there!!

1.5k words!
i jokingly took a sociopathy test with a couple of friends earlier today and i scored like really high so uh dunno how to feel about that
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
“Am I…am I in trouble or something, Professor…?”
Professor McGonagall’s lips thinned and she looked at you over the rim of her glasses. She folded her hands together neatly where they rested on her desk before speaking. “Not for now, no. Relax a bit, dear. The law states that you’re innocent until proven guilty.”
“That’s not- that doesn’t really make me less nervous.”
The professor opened her mouth to speak again when a chime alerted her to an incoming floo call.
With a wave of her wand, the flames flared green and a genial-looking man stepped out of the fireplace. He brushed soot off of his robes and grinned brightly as soon as he caught sight of the professor.
“Minerva! Lovely to see you again. I’m afraid Quincy isn’t going to make it. Corbett is sick, poor thing, so he’s staying home with him today,” the man gushed, evidently quite close with the professor.
“Oh, send them both my well wishes, Hez, dear. Anyway, this is the student you asked to see, Y/n L/n,” she motioned towards you.
The man gave you a cheery grin—far too cheerful for this early in the morning—and held out his hand for you to shake. “A pleasure to meet you, Mx. L/n. I’m Auror Hezekiah Ackerly. I’d just like to ask you a few questions if that’s alright?”
You dubiously shook his outstretched hand, a bit put off by his bright grin that never seemed to dim. “Sure.”
“Wonderful!” the Auror pulled the second office guest chair closer and sat down across from you. “Let’s get the easy questions out of the way. Do you have many friends? Or maybe a small, close-knit group of people you regularly hang out with?”
Your eyebrows furrowed. The fuck kind of question was this?
“Uh, I guess a close-knit group?”
Auror Ackerly summoned a notebook and quill, writing quickly. “Who belongs to this group?”
Seriously, this felt more like being at a psychiatrist’s office than being questioned by a government official.
“Er, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger? And sometimes Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood?”
Seriously, what was going on?
“And do you have any…romantic relationships? Any troubles or issues there?”
Your eyes narrow. “What’re you playing at?”
“Cormac McLaggen was found dead in the Forbidden Forest this morning,” Professor McGonagall cut to the chase, interrupting Auror Ackerly. “You were the last known person to have spoken to him, and several of your peers attest that they heard an argument break out between the two of you last night after dinner.”
Your eyebrows shot up and your jaw dropped. “Dead? Wh- how?”
“That’s what we at the Ministry would like to know,” Auror Ackerly interjected smoothly. “You’re not in trouble, Mx. L/n, but I am here to escort you to the Ministry for questioning.”
Your jaw dropped.
They thought you did this?
~~~
You sat at a table, alone in some room deep inside the Ministry building.
You huffed, folding yet another paper crane from the stack of sticky notes Ackerly had oh-so-thoughtfully left for you after your interrogation.
You set the finished bird on the table, the small pile of origami cranes you’ve made while waiting slowly getting larger.
Peeling off another sticky note, you started folding another when a nice-looking man in well-pressed robes entered the barren room and stopped in front of your table. He looked down at you with mild bafflement.
“L/n, I presume?”
“That’d be me,” you mumbled, adding your newest crane to the pile.
The man smiled gently before waving a hand over your paper birds and enchanting them to fly.
You tried to hide your awe as you look up at the cranes that floated and soared around the room.
The man smiled at your reaction. “It’s quite nice to finally meet you, Mx. L/n. You’ve been the topic of many a discussion today.”
“I’d imagine so, yes,” you said dryly. “Not many teenagers accused of murder coming through the department, huh?”
He grinned. “Not really, no.”
The man pulled out the other chair at the table, sitting down across from you and rifling through the thick manila folder he held.
“Are you here to interrogate me some more?” You asked suspiciously. “Ask Ackerly, man. I already told him everything I know.”
He laughed. “No, I’m not here to interrogate you. I’m your lawyer, Mx. L/n.”
You blink. “I don’t have a lawyer. My family can’t afford that.”
“You always have the right to an attorney, Mx. L/n,” he said kindly as he held out his hand to you. “Octavian Foxglove, Esquire.”
“Y/n L/n, but you already knew that,” you greet, shaking his hand.
He smiled again.
He was a very smiley man.
He laid out the manila folder and turned it around on the table so that you would be able to see it.
The first paper on top was a copy of your school records, with a bright red PRIMARY SUSPECT stamped over the top of your picture.
You grimaced.
Your lawyer nodded sympathetically. “There’s a photo underneath that page, by the way. Supposedly the last photo we have of McLaggen still alive and, uh…it’s not looking great for you, in all honesty.”
You moved your school records page aside, finding a standard moving photograph paperclipped to the inside of the file.
It showed, quite clearly, you speaking with Cormac McLaggen in a hallway. Picture-Cormac angrily threw his arms up in the air and silently yelled at picture-you, while your body language in the photo loudly screamed ‘furious & upset’.
He was right. It wasn’t a great look.
“And there’s only one thing I need you to- oh, where is it?” He dug through the inside pockets of his robes, procuring a pen. “Aha! The next page has a simple contract. I just need a signature stating that you either accept me as your public defender, or would like to request someone else from the Ministry to handle your case.”
You nod, flipping the page to the contract he indicated. Mr. Foxglove smiled again and held the pen out to you.
As soon as your fingers made contact with the pen, you vanished.
~~~
You stumbled blindly, almost falling to the floor before a hand caught your elbow and steadied you.
“Easy, careful.”
You whirled around, surprised to see a different man in Mr. Foxglove’s clothes. He held his hands up in a non-threatening manner.
“Woah- slow down, kid. You’re fine.”
“Who the hell are you?”
“I’m- was your lawyer,” he shrugged and smiled. “Augustus Rookwood, at your service.”
It dawned on you. “It was a portkey,” you breathed. “The pen. It was a portkey, wasn’t it?”
“Clever kid,” he sounded impressed. “Now c’mon. The boss wants to see you.”
You followed the man without complaint; half out of curiosity, half out of the knowledge that Augustus Rookwood was an Azkaban escapee charged with at least forty counts of first degree murder.
Pretty simple choice.
It looked like you were in a wealthy aristocrat’s house. Er, mansion, more accurately. The hallway you were walking down was old and stuffy and dusty, and the overall aura of Dark magic that permeated the very air of the house sent shivers down your spine.
Rookwood led you down a flight of rickety stairs to the first floor, and then down a narrow hallway and into a study, where he left you without another word.
The study itself was old. Everything was coated in a thick layer of dust except for the pristine and polished bureau right in the center.
(Obviously, ‘the boss’ was sitting at this desk.)
((Villains tend to be predictable like that.))
However, you were surprised to see that ‘the boss’ was-
“Riddle?”
He looked up at the sound of your voice, a wide grin spreading across his face as he hurriedly got up from his desk.
“Y/n, darling, hello!” He gushed, practically skipping over towards you before pulling you into a very uncomfortable hug. “Sweetheart- oh, I’m so glad you’ve made it here safely! Rookwood really is my only competent assistant; I must be sure to give him a raise.”
You froze up at the unexpected hug, your arms remaining stiffly by your sides. He let go after a moment, but remained just a bit too close for comfort.
“Hopefully the Ministry didn’t give you too hard of a time,” he rubbed the back of his neck with a guilty grin. “I promise Ackerly’s a good man. When he’s, y’know, in control of his own body.”
Your eyes widen and you take a step back. “What?”
“Just a little Imperius, darling, no worries. Did you like your gift?”
You blinked, thrown off by his rapid changes in subjects. “Uh- gift?”
He smiled proudly. “McLaggen? He won’t bother you anymore, see?”
All the color drained from your face.
“You killed Cormac?”
He nods, grinning. “Uh-huh. I heard what McLaggen said to you last night in the hall, and I don’t like when other people look at what’s mine.”
“Yours?” You repeat, your lip curling in disgust. “You’d better not be referring to me.”
Mattheo paused, looking at you in confusion. “What else would I be talking about?”
You scoff in shock, shaking your head. “Yeah, nope, I’m out.”
You turned around without further preamble, marching out of the room and towards the front door that you’d passed earlier. Mattheo laughed and followed you out of the study at a leisurely pace, seemingly unworried.
“Where are you going to go, darling? As far as the general public is concerned, you’re on the run after brutally murdering a classmate. You’re Wanted with a capital W, sweetheart.”
“I’ll figure it out,” you snarled, storming towards the front door.
“Y/n…” He warned, drawing his wand and pointing it at you. “Get back here. Now.”
“Fuck off.” You spat over your shoulder, not sparing him another glance.
That was clearly not the thing to say. As if in slow motion, you heard a dreaded word fall from his lips.
“Crucio!”
You were struck with pain that was so overwhelming, so blinding, so agonizing, that you were sure you were going to die.
You were only half aware that you’d fallen to the floor at some point as wave after wave of unbearable pain crashed over you. You could feel your bones creaking and grinding together, your skin splitting apart only to knit itself back together just to be torn apart again, like you were some fucked up wixen version of fucking Prometheus.
You were only vaguely aware that you were speaking, pleading. Pleading not for the Unforgivable to be lifted, but for him to just end it, end you, entirely.
“K-kill me! Kill m-me…please!” You begged, blood trailing down from the corner of your mouth and smeared across your chin. You must’ve bit your tongue hard for it to bleed like that, and the sting from that wound while you speak is just too overwhelming when combined with the pain from the Cruciatus Curse.
Then all at once, it stops.
You gasp for air, your entire body trembling and numb as you lay sprawled across the floor like a marionette with its strings cut.
Mattheo kneeled down by your side and cupped your face in his hands with a kind of tender gentleness that felt deeply wrong coming from him.
“See, I’m doing this because you’re not listening to me, sweetheart. How else am I supposed to show you that trying to leave me is what you shouldn’t do?” He cooed softly, gently wiping the blood from your chin with the sleeve of his shirt.
You flinched back at his touch. Your body—still wracked with uncontrollable quivers and trembles—tried in vain to crawl away from him.
“Oh no, honey- hey, honey- I promise it’s all over, okay? You were so so good for me. But you see now that you’ve got to stay with me, right?”
Your jaw quivered and your still-stinging tongue felt thick in your mouth, yet you managed to spit vicious hatred towards him.
“G-go to hell.”
A flurry of emotions crossed his face: surprise, anger, guilt, and disappointment; all of which were topped by the underlying aura of pure sadistic glee that exuded from him.
“Oh? Do you need another lesson or two before you learn?” He sighed and shook his head patronizingly. “Very well then, darling. Crucio!”

before you meet || theodore nott x reader
a/n: ur a girl sorry. also this is a big fat fucking nothing-burger im just. building lore for myself
the two girls were sitting on the edge of the transfiguration courtyard, (y/n) (l/n) and luna lovegood. both are seen as rather strange by their peers, but the girls find solace in each others company. (y/n) pulls out a piece of parchment and quickly scribbles something on it. she steals a glance at the slytherin boy across the courtyard before beginning to fold the paper.
theodore nott sits with his friends, noticing one of the two girls sitting on the grass, (y/n), looking at him. he meets her gaze and smirks before she quickly whips her head back down to the paper she's folding. his friend, draco malfoy, nudges him with his elbow.
"who are you looking at like that mate?" draco asks, following theodore's line of sight over to the two girls. "ahhh, are you looking at loony lovegood? or the mudblood?" he asks slyly, looking for a reaction from his friend.
"fuck off malfoy," theodore muttered, irritated at malfoy's use of the word. he watches as the girl continues to fold the parchment. she picks it up and shows the finished product to luna. its a paper crane.
he continues to watch as she waves her wand over the paper bird and it springs to life. flying off her hand and high above the courtyard. he watches it fly and he hears her laugh loudly as it soars. he looks back at her and sees her watching it with the biggest smile on her face, as if she wasn't expecting it to actually fly. theodore found himself smiling at her amusement.
"should i shoot it down?" malfoy whispered in theodore's ear, a shit-eating grin on his face. malfoy readied his wand, but not before theodore muttered a quiet "expelliarmus." causing malfoy's wand flying into the fountain.
theodore smirked as malfoy watched his wand arc into the water with a stupid look on his face. he then looked back to (y/n) who was gathering her things and getting ready to leave, along with luna. he watched as she glanced at him one last time, but instead of looking away quickly, she held eye contact with him and offered a small smile. he smiled back and gave her a small wave, and at that she blushed, looked down at her feet. she made her way into the defense against the dark arts tower arm in arm with luna, whispering something to the latter.
theodore looks back up at the paper bird circling the courtyard. "accio," he pointed his wand at the bird, which was immediately pulled towards him as he grabbed it. the charm she put on the paper died as he began unfolding the note. when he opened it he saw a doodle of a poorly-drawn mandrake, bawling. he smiled at the small drawing before him.
"are you blushing nott?" malfoy asked incredulously, holding his wand once again, his entire left sleeve soaked from digging around in the fountain.

kiss with a fist | chapter six.
masterlist 💋 chapters 💋 playlist
pairing: theodore nott x reader.
song inspiration: w.i.t.c.h. - devon cole
author's note: some cute soft fluff cause i'm in a tender mood.
In all your years at Hogwarts, you could count the amount of times you’ve attended a quidditch game on one hand and you wouldn't even need to utilize all of your fingers. Needless to say, you weren’t really into the rowdiness and belligerence of sporting events, but a bargain was a bargain. You were just glad to have Luna with you. Even if it meant enduring Pansy Parkinson’s presence.
“Be nice,” Luna warned as you approached the stands.
“I won’t bite if she doesn’t,” you murmured back.
Luna nodded, knowing that it was the closest thing to an agreement she was ever going to get out of you. Despite your surliness, your friend seemed to brighten the minute she spotted Pansy. In a sea of blue and gold, the dark haired witch was the only one clad in green and silver. Your housemates kept exchanging wary glances at the Slytherin in their midst, but they were wise enough to keep their mouths shut.
You watched quietly as Pansy and Luna exchanged pleasantries. While your friend was generally a bubbly person, she seemed extra giddy as she spoke. There was something about the way that she softened that convinced you to ease up on the scowls. It must have been contagious, because Pansy actually smiled and it wasn’t a derisive sneer or a smug smirk, but a genuine smile. You didn’t even know the witch was capable of it.
Finally, she seemed to take stock of your presence. The dark haired girl jutted her chin out proudly, her aristocratic features schooled into forced neutrality. It occurred to you that Pansy probably received a similar warning to attempt decency.
“Y/N,” she said.
“Pansy,” you replied.
The two of you eyed each other. Sizing up your opponent. The eagle versus the snake, claws against teeth. The staredown was purely psychological warfare.
You squinted. Hurt her and I’ll maim you.
The silent warning didn’t seem to offend Pansy. Instead, she gave a subtle nod of her chin and made way for you and Luna to sit. You settled in, trying not to peer down at the drop. Heights had never really been your thing.
Pansy observed you curiously as Luna patted your arm. “Y/N’s not a big fan of heights.”
“Oh?” Parkinson asked.
“I generally prefer solid ground. It reduces the chances of me falling and breaking my neck.” The corner of Pansy’s mouth quirked. “What about you, Parkinson? Are you keen on flying?”
“A bit.”
Luna brightened. “She’s being modest. Pansy here is a very talented flyer. She’s got an Abraxan named Circe.”
“The most powerful witch to ever live,” you noted. “She used to turn men into swine.”
“A lost art, really.”
You smirked. “The classic femme fatale. A personification of the dangers of femininity. They always paint powerful women in a terrible light, don’t they?”
“Perhaps it makes the men feel better about their own inadequacies.”
“We’re always making men feel better about their inadequacies,” you answered thoughtfully. “Convenient that the myths fail to mention that Circe was one of the first pharmakis. Modern magic would not be what it is without her extensive knowledge of herbs and plants and yet she’s rarely credited in any potions books we read.”
Pansy nodded, eyeing you in amusement. “I can see why Nott has taken a liking to you.”
You turned to Luna who immediately shook her head. Pansy laughed. “Don’t worry, Lovegood didn’t tell me a thing. She didn’t have to. Theodore never stops talking about you, you know.”
There was no hiding the flush that crept up to your cheeks. “We’re both vying for the top spot in Slughorn’s class. I assume he has a lot to say about his competition.”
“It’s more than that,” Pansy said. “I’ve known Theodore since birth and I’ve never seen him put this much effort into anything. He’s always been naturally talented at potions, given his mum’s background, but you challenge him. For the first time in a long time, he’s found someone who’s actually up to par. I, for one, enjoy watching you put him in his place.”
You smiled. “I quite enjoy it too.”
Luna looked at you, then at Pansy before a huge grin graced her lips. It was obvious that she was pleased at the sight of her best friend and her…potential more-than-friend getting along.
The game started not long after. Your comprehension of the rules were rudimentary at best, but Luna made sure to explain as best as she could. From what you gathered, there were four positions: seeker, beater, chaser, and keeper. The chasers attempted to score as many goals as they could by throwing the quaffle through the posts, which the keepers guarded. The beaters used the bludgers to disrupt the other players. The seeker, on the other hand, needed to catch the golden snitch. All while floating on a broom hundreds of feet in the air.
This match, Pansy explained, had been anticipated to be the most brutal of the season. The enmity between the Gryffindors and the Slytherins translated very clearly on the field. While there had always been a divide of support between the other houses, you could tell that the majority of the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff stands were cheering for the Gryffindors.
You wondered how that made the Slytherins feel. Three houses against one. After the war, Hogwarts and the Ministry of Magic droned on and on about the importance of unity and reconciliation. Professor Slughorn even delivered a speech during your first potions class, but the disparity between words and actions were painfully obvious.
The rest of the school still mistrusted the Slytherins. If any of them cared, you wouldn’t have been able to tell. Especially not as they played. The quidditch team was deadly. You watched as green and silver robes whizzed past, familiar names sprawled on the jerseys. Malfoy, Zabini, Riddle, Berkshire, Warrington, Rosier, and Nott.
Theo winked as he flew past your portion of the stands. You rolled your eyes, but held your breath as he careened towards one of the goal posts. Ron Weasley stood guard, squinting suspiciously at Theo. The flash of the quaffle was too fast for your eyes to follow, but it sliced the air all the same, slipping through an opening above Ron’s shoulder. The redhead cursed as Theo gave him a mocking bow.
Pansy was the lone witch in your section to cheer for the Slytherins. Luna joined her in solidarity when the crowd grew quiet. Suspicious glances were cast in your direction, which you rebuffed with a menacing glare. They all found something else to look at rather quickly.
Displeasure rippled over the crowd as the Slytherins kept scoring. Theo was an unstoppable force. Warrington and Riddle flanked him at each side, throwing bludgers at anyone who attempted to thwart his efforts. The other two chasers, Berkshire and Zabini, circled around them in an aerial formation that confused the opposing team. The Gryffindors grew increasingly frustrated when Evangeline Rosier kept rebuffing their attempts to score.
Both teams played well, but the Slytherins were ruthless, tactical, and efficient. They used the opposing team’s weaknesses against them. The Gryffindors tended to be over reactive and Theo used it to his advantage. He baited them into making rash plays, which left openings for him and the other chasers to exploit.
By the end of the game, it was Berkshire who scored the winning goal. The discrepancy between the cheers and booing was insurmountable, but Pansy didn’t seem to care. She cheered for the team louder than anyone. As the win was formally announced, you heard murmurs coming from below you.
“Stupid Death Eater bitch.”
From the corner of your eye, you saw Pansy tense. Luna’s mouth hung agape as she wheeled around to identify the foul mouthed culprit. You were quicker.
“What did you just say?” you asked in a deathly quiet voice.
The conversations around you stopped as you faced Romilda Vane. The smug faced witch crossed her arms, her scarlet and gold scarf billowing in the wind as she looked up at the three of you.
“You heard me,” Romilda said in a haughty voice. “Her father was one of the Dark Lord’s staunchest supporters. As were the Malfoys and Notts. Not to mention Riddle. How he was allowed back at school is a mystery to me. They should all be in Azkaban.”
Your ears began to ring. The crowd parted as you descended the bleachers, bringing you face to face with Romilda. “I wasn’t aware that you’d recently earned a place in the Wizengamot. For all your prattling, you’d think you were the Chief Warlock.”
She cowered under your glare, but doubled down as she looked towards her friends. “I’m only saying what everyone else is thinking. As far as I’m concerned, the Slytherins should be punished for their crimes.”
“I hardly think you’re speaking from any moral high ground, Romilda. Didn’t you try to dose Potter with Amortentia in sixth year?”
Romilda reddened as she sputtered nonsense. The students around you snickered, but all you could hear was the rush of blood in your ears. You clenched your fists so tightly that your nails dug painfully into your palms. If you hadn’t, you might’ve punched that stupid smirk right off of her face.
But you knew that physical violence was not the answer. There were far more strategic ways to land a blow and you were an expert in this type of warfare.
“I suppose Harry’s lucky that your potion making is about as incompetent as your critical thinking skills. Now move before I make you.”
“I hope you know what you’re doing getting tangled up with all those snakes. They’ll sink their teeth into your back the second you turn it.”
“One of them is worth ten of you. At least the Slytherins fought to defend the castle instead of running off like a coward. They may have teeth, but at least they know how to use them. You’re all roar and no bite.”
“You’re a bitch, Y/N.”
You reared back, baring your teeth. “Oh you have no idea, Vane. But I’d be glad to demonstrate.”
Romilda held her ground. For a split second, you weighed the consequences of harming a fellow student versus the satisfaction of pummeling Romilda to the ground. Luckily for the idiotic Gryffindor, Luna gently gripped you by the elbow.
“It’s not worth it, Y/N.”
You looked at your friend who wore an expression of concern. Beside her, Pansy didn’t say a word. She was utterly silent, almost resigned like she encountered this treatment on a daily basis. We all pay the price, Theo had said.
Without another word, you nodded and bulldozed through Romilda as you exited the stands. It was only when the three of you reached the ground when you finally realized that you were shaking from anger.
“Are you alright, Pans?” Luna asked, clasping Parkinson’s hand.
Pansy shrugged. “I’m fine. Don’t worry about me, Luna. If I let the opinion of an airheaded twat affect my day, I’d never have a good one again.”
“Are you sure—” Luna fretted.
Pansy smiled gently and squeezed her hand in assurance. “Truly, I’m alright. The only thing upsetting me at the moment is that I’ve left my scarf up there running from those hags. Would you mind getting it for me, Lu?”
Your friend still looked worried, but she nodded and made the trek back up. You and Pansy stood in silence, watching as the last of the crowd trickled out of the stands.
“Vane had no right to say that,” you said. It came out harsher than you expected.
“At least she had the gall to say it to my face,” Parkinson stated with a shrug. “I don’t know if that makes her brave or stupid.”
“Gryffindors often have trouble making the distinction.”
The dark haired witch laughed. “You didn’t have to do that, you know. As moronic as she is, Vane is right. She was only voicing the opinion of the masses."
“But you fought in the final battle. I saw you rallying the others against the Death Eaters. Romilda wasn’t even there. She didn’t even fight.”
Pansy sighed. “A lot of good that did. I had to watch my friends duel against their own parents and yet this entire school still mistrusts us. I suppose I can’t blame them. The majority of the Dark Lord’s followers were produced by our house.”
“Not all Slytherins are bad. The world isn’t so black and white,” you said adamantly. “Most of us operate in the gray areas, whether we admit it or not. The only difference is that you lot don’t try to hide it.”
“Yes, but a snake is a snake. Even when we shed our skin, they still see deception when they look at us.”
“And you’re willing to just accept that?”
Parkinson gave you a pointed look. What choice did she have? What choice did any of them have?
After a beat of silence, you cleared your throat. “Are you sure you’re alright? Luna’s worried.”
“I assure you, being villainized isn’t anything new to me. I suppose that’s why I named my horse after Circe," Pansy mused thoughtfully. "It’s better for them to believe that I’m some sort of evil sorceress than to realize that I am more shackled by my circumstances than I could ever be at Azkaban. My family name is a collar around my neck, waiting to choke me at any moment, but they’re so blinded by their own misconceptions that all they see are my teeth. I prefer it that way.”
“Oderint dum metuant.”
"Let them hate, as long as they fear." A faint smile bloomed on Pansy’s lips. "That’s awfully Slytherin of you to say. Are you sure you’re in the right house, Y/N?”
You chuckled. A beat of silence followed as understanding passed between you. Perhaps you had more in common with Pansy Parkinson than you thought.
When Luna returned, the two of them tried to convince you to join them at the common room party, but you declined. You weren’t really in the mood to be around people.
“You two go ahead. I’ll catch up later.”
As the sun set over the school grounds, you found yourself at the Black Lake. Dusk tinged the horizon with pink and purple and the fluffy white clouds hung low enough to kiss the dark water. You settled at the end of the dock and dipped your toes into the lake, watching as the motion made ripples across the surface. Maybe it was unwise to linger here given that the lake was home to the merpeople and the giant squid, but they would be far in the depths and you were honestly too knackered to care.
Sighing, you pulled out a silver flask from your robes. You had initially brought it for the after party, but it would’ve been a shame to let the firewhisky go to waste.
“Illegal contraband?” A familiar voice teased just as the wood gave way beside you. Theo bumped his shoulder against yours as he sat. “I didn’t know you had it in you, Y/N.”
“Yeah, well maybe your idiotic tendencies are rubbing off on me.”
“I’d like to rub more than just my tendencies on you.”
You rolled your eyes and handed him the flask. “Just fucking drink, Theodore.”
He grinned before taking a swig. You chuckled at the face he made from the burn of the Ogden’s. “That is straight up liquor," Theo remarked through his coughing fit. "You're out of control, diavolina. Should I be concerned?”
“We’re celebrating,” you said. “At least you should be. That was quite a win out there. I didn’t expect you to be so….efficient.”
“Careful, Y/N. That was almost a compliment.”
You shrugged. “To be fair, I haven’t been to a game in years. You could’ve been absolutely rubbish and I’d still think it was a feat that you managed to stay seated on that broom.”
“Well, it is a pretty important component of quidditch. Did you at least attempt to enjoy yourself?”
“It was a brutal game. There’s a lot more strategy and planning that goes into quidditch than I initially thought. It’s like chess, but you’re allowed to hit people. I had a blast.”
Theo chuckled. “I should’ve known you’d get a kick out of all that violence.”
Warmth spread through your body as you took another swig. “Shouldn’t you be celebrating your win at the party?”
His fingers brushed yours as you handed the flask back to him. “I’m where I want to be.”
This time, you weren’t sure if it was the firewhisky or Theo’s presence making you flush. The two of you kept drinking in silence as you peered up at the sky. Back home in London, you never would’ve been able to see the stars this clearly. They glittered in the night sky like tiny diamonds etched through the darkness.
“I heard about what happened earlier,” Theo said after a moment.
You weren’t surprised. Word traveled fast around this school. “Luna told you?”
“No. Pansy did.” He shifted, turning over to look at you. Like a moth drawn to a flame, you did too. “You did a good thing, Y/N. You stood up for Pansy. I can’t thank you enough.”
“I was only doing what anyone else would’ve done.”
“No. You weren’t.” Theo set the flask down. “No one else would’ve come to her defense. Pansy, she’s the strongest one out of all of us. Draco, Mattheo, and I, we can always resort to punches when we’re insulted, but Pansy doesn’t have that option. She just has to sit there and take it. It means a lot that someone spoke up for her.”
“I did the bare minimum.”
“It still meant a lot.”
“There’s no need to thank me for—”
Theo sighed in exasperation. “For Salazar’s sake, will you just take my gratitude without arguing?”
You bit back a smile. “Fine. I acknowledge your gratitude.”
You downed the rest of the flask as Theo lit a cigarette. The flame from that curious Zippo flickered in the darkness as smoke filled the air.
“So,” Theo started, taking a deep inhale. “Are you ready for the slug club dinner next week? I’m not even invited to the bloody thing and yet I still know every detail thanks to McLaggen’s incessant prattling. What a twat.”
“Cormac is kind of a twat, isn’t he?” you asked, giggling as the alcohol started taking its effect. “I heard that he kisses like a fork tongued lizard.”
Theo’s eyes flashed. “You better not know that firsthand.”
You wrinkled your nose. “I wouldn’t go near McLaggen’s mouth with a ten foot broom.”
“Good. I can rest easy that you won’t be replacing me with a reptilian snogger.”
“You can rest easy either way. I’m not going to that dinner.”
Theo paused, the cigarette hanging haphazardly from between his lips. “What do you mean you’re not going?”
“It’s a pretty straightforward sentence, Nott. I will not be attending Professor Slughorn’s ridiculous dinner.”
“You have to go,” he declared firmly.
“I’m confused. Do you want me to snog the lizard or not?”
Theo frowned. “Do not snog McLaggen unless you want me to turn him into an actual reptile.” He exhaled and smoke curled around his lips. “You can’t miss that dinner.”
“I have no interest in attending.”
He stared at you, his gaze fixed with determination. “Is this about what Slughorn said the other day?”
You picked at your fingers, avoiding his eyes. “It’s probably going to be boring, anyways. Just a pissing contest for us to compare our grades and achievements like we’re puppets on a string.”
“You should still go.”
“Why?” you asked, a bit irritated that Theo was pushing for this so hard. You would’ve thought that he of all people would understand your choice. “Why would I subject myself to be part of something that judges people based on prejudice rather than merit?”
Theo’s expression softened. “Because it’ll raise your chances of joining the Most Extraordinary Society of Potioneers. That’s your dream, isn’t it?”
You reeled back in surprise. “How do you know about that?”
He rolled his eyes. “You only talk about it a thousand times a day.” Theo raised his brow in challenge. “Slughorn’s one of the most influential members. If you go to the dinner, it might solidify a formal invitation.”
Theo was right. You didn’t want him to be, but he was right. Under any other circumstance, you would’ve sabotaged and plotted and schemed for a way in. This was an opportunity to distinguish yourself from your fellow classmates, so why were you hesitating?
You knew why. You were looking right at him.
“I’ll drag you there myself if I have to,” Theo declared.
You sighed. There was no way he was going to let this go. “Fine, I’ll think about it.”
Theo smiled triumphantly. You kicked at the water, sending a wave across the still lake. “You know, if Slughorn knew that you were a Marchesi, he’d probably fall all over himself to recruit you. Hell, anyone would. You’re practically guaranteed a place at the Society, too.”
Theo shrugged nonchalantly. “Where would the fun be in that?”
“I’m serious, Nott. It could open up doors for you.”
He sighed. “That’s exactly why I’ve kept the knowledge to myself. I’m tired of everyone judging me based on my family, good or bad. I want to accomplish something that’s solely mine. Not Nott, not Marchesi. Just Theo.”
“That’s uncharacteristically noble of you.”
“I told you, I’m not just a pretty face. I’m also rich, witty, intelligent, athletic, etc. Honestly, the list goes on and on.”
You snorted. “Just don’t expect humble to be part of that little myriad, Theo.”
Theo paused. The moment of silence swelled between you like an errant wave. Then, a huge smile broke out on his face.
“What?” you asked.
“You called me Theo.”
“Well, that is your name. Has quidditch concussed you so severely that you’ve forgotten?
He responded with an eye roll. “I’m perfectly lucid, thank you very much. Well, besides the firewhisky. I’m a little bit sloshed from that, but not sloshed enough to not notice you call me by my actual name. Not Theodore, not Nott, not twat, not oh god—”
“I get it, Theo.”
His grin grew wider. “There it is again. Theo.”
“It’s just a name, nothing special.”
“It is when you’re the one saying it.”
“Oh, shut up.”
The satisfied smirk on his face refused to budge even as the sky grew darker. The two of you sprawled out on the dock, staring up at the sky and enjoying the comfortable silence. Theo toyed with his lighter, rubbing his thumb over the spark wheel, which caused the flame to flicker on and off.
You stared at the lighter, vision blurring from the alcohol. “Why do you have that thing?”
“I told you, Mattheo’s a little thief.”
“No, I mean I know the reason. But I just can’t figure out why.”
Theo scrunched his brows in confusion. “Are you sure you’re not the one concussed?”
“Would a concussed person be able to do this?”
You propped yourself up on your elbows and slightly flipped to the side. The action made your hair come loose.
“What in Merlin’s name am I supposed to be looking at right now?”
“I’m obviously doing a cartwheel,” you deadpanned. “Aren’t I?”
Theo chuckled. “You are one drunk witch, Y/N.”
“M’not drunk.” He raised a brow. “Fine, maybe I’m a tiny bit bevved, but you’re the one avoiding my question.”
“Sorry,” Theo said rather unapologetically. “I’m a bit distracted at the moment.”
“By what?”
“Your hair,” he murmured softly. Theo reached out and toyed with a loose strand, twisting a long lock between his fingers. He swallowed thickly, his voice lower and huskier than it was a minute ago. “You should wear it down more often.”
“It’s a hassle.”
He swept it over your shoulder, knuckles brushing your cheek. “It’s beautiful.”
Your cheeks warmed. Whether from the alcohol or his touch, you couldn’t differentiate. “Stop deflecting, Nott.”
Theo rolled his eyes. “Relentless witch. Can’t you see I’m trying to have a moment here?”
You gave him a pointed look. Theo sighed before handing over his lighter. Up close, you could see that the silver was worn and dented. It looked much older than you initially thought. To your surprise, Theo silently waved his wand and the lighter transformed into a heart shaped locket.
“When my nonna gave me the grimoire, it came with this. It was Alessandra’s old locket. She treasured it more than the grimoire itself.”
“What’s so special about it?”
“Open it.”
Your fingers stilled. “Are you sure?”
“Don’t get shy now, diavolina. You wanted to know and now I’m telling you.”
You hesitated for a moment before curiosity got the best of you. The locket popped open easily. Inside was a picture of a dark haired woman standing next to a man with watercolor eyes and thick brown curls. The couple looked at each other with love and adoration in their eyes.
“That’s Alessandra, obviously. The man was Damiano, her closest friend, the mad scientist of the village, and the cleverest muggle she’d ever met. He helped author the grimoire.”
“I never knew that Alessandra had help with her inventions.”
Theo nodded. “As my family intended. They didn’t approve of her relationship with Damiano, but she didn’t care. They fell madly in love and eventually married.”
“How is it possible that no one knew about him?”
“Damiano was born with a unique illness that was incurable even with magic. Alessandra poured years of her life into finding a cure, but in the end he succumbed to it. She passed away only a year after him. My nonna said that she died of a broken heart.” Theo took the chain and traced his fingers over the picture. “They left behind two young children who were eventually raised by Alessandra’s parents. Their son and daughter grew up not knowing who their father was. The Marchesis did everything in their power to keep the knowledge to themselves. They didn’t want anyone to know that their great bloodline was tainted by a muggle.”
Theo bowed his head in shame. He avoided your gaze, choosing to look out at the Black Lake instead. “There it is. The secret that my family has guarded for centuries. The sad part is that some of them still hold those bigoted beliefs, so when people assume the worst of me, I can’t blame them. The Marchesis, the Notts, either way you look at it, there’s bad blood coursing through my veins.”
“That’s not true, Theo,” you said softly. “You know I don’t think that of you, right?”
“I wouldn’t blame you if you did. Everyone else does.”
“Well, I don’t,” you said firmly. “You said it earlier. Family isn’t all that a person amounts to. When I look at you, I don’t see a Nott or a Marchesi. I just see Theo.”
“I don’t deserve that,” he whispered. The saddest part was that you were sure he meant it. “My great great great grandmother fell in love with a muggle and how did my family repay her for it? They blotted him out of existence.”
The starlight caressed his forlorn expression with its silver glow, painting a heartbreaking depiction of Theo that you had never seen before. It reminded you of that day in the potions lab when he was talking about his mother. There was such an openness and vulnerability in him then that was present now as well and you realized why he looked at you the way he did that day.
Theo hadn’t been waiting for you to give him an out. He wanted—no, he needed a friend and you had been too scared to step up then, but you weren’t now. You could be that for him. You wanted to be that for him. A friend.
Without second guessing yourself, you reached out in the space between you and grabbed hold of his hand. Theo stared at your intertwined fingers in surprise.
“The love between Damiano and Alessandra lives on,” you said with a small smile. “In their children and their children’s children. In…you.”
Those watercolor eyes, the very same ones that you had grown so familiar with shone with emotion. Unlike the day in the lab, Theo didn’t put up his mask of cockiness and arrogance and you realized with a start that you didn’t want him to.
He smiled and squeezed your hand gently. “Yes, I suppose I inherited Damiano’s affinity for cruel, brilliant witches.”
"Affinity is putting it lightly," you said teasingly. "Admit it. You're obsessed with me, Nott."
You blinked as Theo hovered over you. The weight of his body pressed against yours ignited a flame of fiendfyre in your core. He dipped his head down, his curls tickling your nose. "No, not Nott. Not Theodore. Try that again, diavolina."
You wriggled underneath him, but Theo held your hips in place. He brushed his lips against yours and smirked when you tried to kiss him. His low rumble of laughter sent shivers down your spine. "Say it. Say my name again."
"If I say it, will you stop being a tease?"
Theo kissed your neck and laughed when you pouted in response. "Only one way to find out."
"I'll knee you in the crotch if you do that again, Theo."
He grinned. "There's a good girl," Theo said rather suggestively. You fought the urge to squirm at his words. He peppered kisses along your neck, your jaw, and your cheeks while you burst into a fit of drunken giggles. "For the record, I am obsessed with you, but I think you're a little bit obsessed with me too."
"You wish, Theo."
"You're going to be the death of me," he said huskily as he unbuttoned your cardigan. Theo's eyes were full of mischief as he dipped between your breasts, sucking on your flesh and leaving marks in his wake. "But I'm willing to die a happy man, Y/N."

Evanescence
Mattheo Riddle x Plus size! Reader
No warnings!
Hello everyone this is basically the introduction of my new Harry Potter series. I'm new to writing but have always wanted to give it a shot. This chapter is pretty short but I promise in the future they will be longer, I just really wanted to get this out
I hope everyone enjoys!
900 words
Ravenclaw or Slytherin
I stood amongst the other children in the great hall. Watching in attention as the older witch, Professor Mcgonagall, called names after names to the sorting hat. My heart was pounding in my chest so rapidly, I was afraid it might jump out. Most would’ve been overjoyed when receiving their acceptance letter, but not me. True I’ve always dreamed about being a powerful witch and everyone always told me I was quite smart for my age but I still did not wanna be here. There were just too many people. I’d never been good with people, always struggling to make connections, and yet here I was.
“It’ll be ok, Bea” Luna Lovegood got closer, grabbing my hand with a light squeeze in an attempt to comfort me, her anxious cousin.
Now Luna wasn’t truly my cousin, my sister and I were adopted by Pandora Lovegood and Xenoplilius Lovegood at the ages of 6 and 8. But what truly defines family, if not the people you love and seek comfort in. So by that definition we were true cousins.
“Luna Lovegood”, Professor Mcgonagel announced.
Luna let go of my hand, sparring me one last glance before she made her way through the horde of little witches and wizards to the sorting hat. The moment she sat down the hat was quick to yell, “RAVENCLAW”. She was a raven claw, just like my sister, just like her mother, just like her father, and just like my mother. My eyes followed Luna's figure as she walked to the RavenClaw table, my sister, Honey, embracing her in a loving hug while all the other Ravenclaws cheered for their new member. I see Honey looking back at me, that dorky yet angelic smile plastered on her face. She has had no doubt in her mind I’d be a Ravenclaw, “Just like mum, and grandma, and me”, she’d tell me. I was never sure though.
“Bea Holloway”, the older witch called my name.
I stood frozen in place for a second, looking back at my sister one more time. She returned my glance, giving me an encouraging smile and a little head nod. I walked forward through the remaining children, moving with my head down to hide away from all the curious eyes in the room. I sat down hesitantly making it to the chair and that hauntingly creepy hat, seriously it's freaky. Once I sat down, Mcgonagall gave me a small smile of reassurance, no doubt feeling how anxious I was, she then placed the sorting hat on my head. It felt like an eternity of sitting and waiting, sitting and waiting, sitting and waiting. Until finally. “SLYTHERIN”.
What. The. Fuck.
I was screaming internally. I looked toward my sister, she still had that encouraging smile, but I could tell this one was fake. She was sad? disappointed? scared? I really couldn't tell.
None the less I made my way to the slytherin table. They weren’t as cheerful as the other tables. Though they did greet me as openly as other tables, I suppose that's a plus. A boy, with short dark brown and chocolatey eyes offered me a seat next to him and his friends, introducing himself as Blaise Zabini. Then a boy with slicked back light blonde hair and a cocky smile pipped up, “Malfoy, Draco Malfoy”.
Weird, I thought to myself.
“Im Pansy Parkinson”, a girl with shoulder length wavy black hair and bangs spoke, flashing me a comforting smile
She seems nice
Next a boy with dirty blonde to light brown hair, “I'm Lorenzo Berkshire, but you can just call me Enzo”. He flashed a dimply smile and a wink.
Oh, he’s cute
“I’m Theodore Nott” this boy had light brown hair with the ice blue eyes, “and this is this Mattheo”, the blue eyes boy continued, nodding to a boy with onyx colored eyes, dark brown colors, and the cutest singular dimple
Now he’s cute
“What's your name?” Blaise said, directing everyone's attention to me.
I stuttered out, “Bea Holloway”. The curlied headed boy held eye contact with me as I spoke. Looking into his deep onyx eyes was like a trance, one I didn’t wanna break.
Then as soon as we got sorted into our houses, though for me it felt like an eternity, it was over. Finally time to go to our dorms, the pack of slytherin first years followed our house prefect up the ever changing and ever confusing stairs.
Finding my dorm along with all the other slytherin girls, I found out quickly that I was lucky enough to be put with someone I already met, Pansy Parkinson. She was equally as ecstatic, if not more, to be roommates with someone she already met as well. Our other roommate was a girl named Phelia Pierce, she seems nice I suppose.
As the sun finally set and the moon engulfed the night skin, we had all settled into our new beds and rooms for the next 7 years. It once again downed on me, the fact I’d be here with the same people for the next 7 years, but it didn’t scare me as much. I thought about the people I met today, I barely knew them but they already seemed so familiar.
I think Honey was right, I think I’ll be ok.
Please let me know if you guys have any criques or anything. constructive criticism is always welcome, just be nice about it.

Prankster - Fred Weasley
TW: female!reader, alcohol, mention of drugs, reader wonder if she has been abuse (very light), slight angst, fluff, two idiots in love, side Ginny x Luna ship cause they're cute
“Y/N, 5th grade student at Hogwarts, the famous college of witchcraft in Great Britain. Best friend of Luna Lovegood and secretly in love with the Fred Weasley twins. Loves jokes but also very studious in her studies. Ravenclaw and proud of it."
This is how anyone could describe little Y/N. Shy but feisty. Generous but evil. Cartesian but artist at heart. Immersed in her world but open-minded. This girl was everything and nothing at the same time, she touched the extremes and assumed responsibility like that.
So it was, arm in arm, that she and Luna escaped from the library after having covered Draco and his two henchmen with gooey, sticky and green paste. The two friends frolicked in the corridors, giggling loudly when they met the Weasley twins at the corner of a corridor. Seeing them laughing without understanding the reason, Fred asked them what happened.
- We covered Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle with glue pastes.
She couldn't hold back any longer for a long time and burst out laughing again, hiding in her blonde friend's dress.
- Really? That's awsome! You see this what that means Gred? George exclaimed.
- Our product works! This is fantastic Forge! He puts his hands in the air and his brother comes to hit them with enthusiasm.
- Thank you girls! Shouted George
- Yes! Thank you very much, we owe you.
And he came to take Y/N in his arms while his brother hugged Luna. Y/N responded to his hug and breathed in the scent of chestnuts, firecrackers, and caramel that emanated from the redhead. Pulling him closer to her before he broke the hug.
- Oh, but that's okay. Their said Luna delighted.
- Yes, it was just as enjoyable for us You know. Y/N confessed.
- You should have seen their faces! Terrible! Replied Luna.
- Thank you for letting us test your new product. Y/N finished.
- That's okay, we'll contact you if we have need to retest the merchandise Fred replied, placing his hand on the young girl's shoulder.
- No problem. Replied the girl, stars in the eyes while staring at the Weasley.
After that, life returned to normal and the weeks passed monotonously. Until the last week before the Christmas holidays finally came. The week that all the students dreaded. The exam week.
Stress was mounting in every house. Each of the students, regardless of the level, dreaded the end of the weekend. But it arrived despite everything and with a very busy schedule :
Monday, transfiguration and astronomy.
Tuesday, potions and magical creatures.
Wednesday, charms and arithmancy.
Thursday, divination and herbololy.
Friday, defense against the dark arts and history of magic.
The two friends were therefore physically and mentally exhausted, when they returned to the common room on Friday evening, convinced that they had messed up everything.
Y/N was getting ready to go to bed in her dorm when suddenly the twins appeared in the room, excited.
- Well, girls, you're making a fuss! Are you not happy for the holidays? George asked, sitting down on a couch next to the Luna.
- No! She whine.
- We messed up our exams... Y/N continued, with an annoyed expression.
- Oh I'm sorry for you. Murmured gently Fred as he approached her. But if it can makes you feel better, we made blank sheets... He continued more loudly, laughing a little.
- What ?! Exclaimed the young girl.
- Well yeah in fact we had completely forgot that there were exams, the last few weeks we were all about our pranks and tricks products. George said, emphasizing the second part of his sentence, glancing sideways at his twins before smirking.
Fred caught sight of him and flashed his eyes at him before turning back to Y/N with a big smile. And while taking her hand to lead her out of the dorm he said:
- But that doesn't matter girls, because tonight there's a big party to celebrate the end of the exams!
- Yes! It's in the Hufflepuff common room! George finished. Y/N laughed while Luna stood up interested.
- Wait how do you know that in the first place? And how did you manage to get into the Ravenclaw common room? Who gave you the solution to the enigma?
- Oh y'know, we have contacts. Said Fred, winking at her.
The young girl laughed and quickly went to change with Luna. Then they let themselves be led by the two redheads into the common room next to the kitchen. George struck a melody on the barrels at the entrance and the painting opened, smiling all his teeth.
George and Luna entered leaving the other two behind. Y/N had never been to a party before, in fact she had never even been to any common room other than the one in Ravenclaw. Fred, noticing that the girl was nervous, gently grabbed her hand in his and linked their fingers together.
- First party? he asked.
- Yeah... I'm not very sociable in general with people I don't know. The Ravenclaw girl admitted.
- Don't worry, I'll be with you during all evening, I promise. He squeezed a little more his grip on Y/N’s hand and the girl blushes, a smile on her face and her heart racing. The two students entered the common room.
Inside the party there was a completely different atmosphere: the room was dim and a soft blue light flickered on the walls, all the students were dancing on the floor, jumping and screaming to the witchy music that was playing. When you looked up at the ceiling you could see a thick cloud of smoke covering the entire room.
- Look! Said Y/N pointing with her finger the ceiling. Either it's a mist spell or the Hufflepuffs are smoking. She deduces amused.
- I would rather opt for the second option. The redhead replied, winking at her. But I assure you, it's really not just Hufflepuffs who smoke here.
They laughed out loud. The evening unfolded in total anarchy. Without lying, the majority of students abused the firewiskey, including our four friends. So it was at 3AM that Y/N, Luna and the twins returned as best they could to the Ravenclaw common room. The boys had insisted on accompanying the two friends who were in the worst shape. Only George, who was carrying Luna on his shoulders (like a potato sack), was faster than Fred and Y/N who were holding hands, laughing way too hard, tripping over imaginary rugs and running into all the walls.
As they finally arrive at a winding staircase, the two friends found themselves alone in the corridors. Drunk... Without knowing how, they managed to find the Ravenclaw dormitory. But now there was another problem: how to get in if your brain is too intoxicated to succeed in solving the new enigma?
Fred made the decision to take them to Griffindor instead, not deciding to leave the young girl alone and even less to stay waiting with her on the floor, in front of the stubborn painting, until morning. Plus the risk of being caught and taking away points.
So, boosted by a dose of adrenaline, Fred took Y/N in his arms and walked with determination to his common room. Arriving in front he said the password in a low voice, not wanting to wake the pretty girl sleeping in his arms. He climbed the stairs with difficulty and returned to his dormitory.
He took off Y/N's jacket and shoes and gently placed her in bed. He then went to take a shower in his bathroom and put on only pajama pants before going to lie down next to the young girl.
Waking up the next day was complicated. Y/N opened her eyes with difficulty. She turned over in bed and groaned as she saw the sun filtering through the red curtains.
Red? What do you mean red? Since when did they redo the Ravenclaw dorms? Wait but... Why is Fred Weasley sleeping next to me?... What happened yesterday?
The young girl stood up in panic. She watched the redhead sleep, he looked so calm and peaceful. It was a change from usual. He slept on his stomach, bare chested, his hair disheveled, his mouth slightly open and his arms wrapped around his pillow.
The young girl turned her head away abruptly and put her thoughts back into place. She needed to understand what happened once they left the party. She took her courage and placed the palm of her hand on the twins' shoulder. Nothing. She shook him a little. Still no signs of life. Well... She then took one of the strands of her flamboyant hair between her fingers, played with it a little, before giving it a sharp tug. The twin opened his eyes wide and sat up suddenly, screaming a loud "ouch".
- But what's wrong with you Y/N? Why did you do that? He whined, massaging his temples, painful from last evening.
- You weren't wake up! I panicked!
- That's no reason to disfigure me! He shouted back.
- For the love of Merlin, stop screaming, I have a headache. She said to him, suddenly having an awful migraine.
- Argh...What's happening to me? She asked him, placing a hand on her painful forehead.
- Simple you have what my brother and I called PDSH. Said the redhead getting up from the bed.
Faced with the look of incomprehension of the young girl he laughed and explained:
- A pretty-damn-shitty-hangover.
Y/N nodded in agreement and lay back in bed, putting the cool pillow over his burning face. The redhead walked over to his dresser, took out a small box of medicine, downed one with a glass of water and went to sit next to Y/N. He removed the pillow from his head, handed him the medicine and his glass
- It's Muggle but it works better than our spells, you'll see. He whispered gently.
Then he went to take a shower a smile on his lips. The young Ravenclaw swallowed the drug with difficulty and grimaced at the strange taste. She replayed yesterday's events over and over in her head.
She and Fred were very close throughout the evening, holding each other hands, remaining stuck together. They have even danced a slow dance, she remembers it. It was the second half of the night: they were pressed together, their faces really close. Y/N blushed at the memories.
Fred came back from his shower, only one towel around the waist and little drop dripping from his wet hair. I must be in Heaven right now, cause I’m seeing an angel, thought T/P who was staring at him, his mouth open in an “O”.
-Like what you see, huh? The twins laughed.
- You wish. She said looking away.
- Whatever you say birdy. He scoffed, putting on a loose gray T-shirt.
- Fred, I have an embarrassing question. Said Y/N with a small voice, after a few minutes of silence during which the redhead got dressed.
- I'm listening. He said as he sat down on the bed beside her, a small smirk on his lips.
- Last night... Did we hum do something? She mumble with a bashful voice.
She looked away embarrassed, but was surprised when she heard Fred laugh. She look up at him with a small frown. He straightened up when he realized she was being serious.
- Wait, are you asking for real? He asked surprised. Do you really think I'm that kind of guy? D'you think I would have done anything while you were half passed out? You take me for a Slytherin or what?
- No ! But I don't know, we were both clearly drunk, anything could have happened. You can't blame me for worrying! She replied, in the same tone.
- Yeah... He sighed and rubbed his face.
- Why did you take me to this party anyway? She asked curiously, trying to change the subject.
- Well, I think you know why. He replied nervously, rubbing the back of his head.
- No, otherwise I wouldn't have asked. She said, laughing.
- Seriously ? The girl nodded. Fred sighed once again, getting up from the bed and scratching his backside nervously.
- Y/N we haven't known each other for long but you must have noticed that we go along very well. So I hope that what I'm about to tell you will be reciprocal, otherwise expect to be forgotten by a spell very quickly. He continued, laughing nervously.
- Y/N, this is the first time this has happened to me so I don't really know how to take it seriously. I've never had such chemistry with anyone, other than my brother, before you. You are gorgeous, smart, funny and kind. I find you perfect and... I love you, Y/N. For the sake of Merlin, if you knew how you make me feel. You drive me crazy.
- You love-love me? Like for real?
- Yes! Why do you think we spent so much time on our inventions with George that we failed our exams? It was to come and ask you to test them for us! To come and talk to you.
- Oh Fred, I... But she didn't have time to finish before the redhead rushed at her and kissed her.
- I love you too Fred. She whispered between two kisses and they smiled at each other mutually.
Suddenly with a loud bang, the bedroom door opened and George rushed in.
- Forge! I saw Ginny, our feisty little sister, kiss Luna! He exclaimed. Oh hi Y/N. He casually waved his hands at her, unbothered.
- Hello.. Replied young girl, startled.
- That’s great Gred, isn't it?
- Don't you understand? Not only our nieces and nephews will be bossy, dictatorial, sport-addicted redhead babies. But now they will also talk to creatures like Charlie! In short, we are going to experience chaos as uncle-babysitters.
Fred turned pale and Y/N came to kiss him with a giggle, cupping his cheeks.
- Don't worry, I'll be there to help you as a super auntie babysitter. She laughed.
Fred chuckled in return and lean in to kiss her.
- My savior... He whispered against her lips.
- Yes, if you can tolerate him until then. George commented with a big smile before a pillow was throw to his head.

Hermione Jean Granger x Luna Lovegood x Reader
Request: yes
Summary: you and Hermione study one night in Luna's part of the forest... there's flirting, teasing and well... one thing leads to another (see warnings)
Warnings: Swearing, pillow princess Luna, top Hermione, top reader, humping, scissoring, fingering, fondling, unedited
Word Count: 1.8K+
Leaves rustled at the caress of cool wind, falling to the ground in tribute to the changing seasons. Autumn had already tainted fields of them vibrant oranges and yellows, occasional red specks blossoming on the horizon.
Hagrid's hut cast long shadows across the fields, pumpkins ripe and enormous. Hermione shivered beside you, pulling her jacket closer. You offered your own, but she wouldn't let you freeze in her stead.
The two of you passed the dark lake, and by the time you had reached edge of the forest nearly the same blackness had hastily descended upon the sky. You pointed out Orion. She thought of Sirius, and you were silent once more.
"This is as good a spot as any," she announced some steps amidst the looming trees.
You nodded. "It's so quiet. I think I could almost get sick of the constant throng in that castle." You smiled at each other. She knew you didn't mean it. After all...
"You're just as much a diligent student as me. Neither of us would ever leave Hogwarts if we could choose."
"True. It's amazing, really, how pretty you are for a nerd."
"Oh, come off it." She chuckled, sitting down before a thick pine. You sat cross-legged, leaning back against an opposite hazel.
"Fine... where do you want to start?"
"Potions. I feel a bit insecure about that exam. Especially the last couple," Hermione admitted, pulling out her textbook already.
"So Draught of Peace, Felix Felicis?"
"And Amortentia."
"Mmh, I bet you just wanna talk about how much you love me. Y'know, say it always has my scent... why could that be?" you jested, grinning as she rolled her eyes.
"You wish. You probably draw me in your margins. Or do you write Mz Granger, surrounded by little hearts?" She pouted.
You only shook your head, flipping pages until you spotted Felix. "So, what are the ingredients for liquid luck?"
"Evading, I see. Well, alright, pretend you don't fancy me. Let's see. Ingredients include..." She listed them all perfectly and for some time you could study without incident, more and more of your reading depending on wand-light.
You both perked up, however, when the sound of sticks crunching reached you. Had you been spotted? It was well after dusk and no teacher would appreciate you being out around this time.
Emerging from the woods, however, was none other than Luna. "Hello," she hummed. "You've found my favourite spot. I was just feeding the thestrals."
You beamed. "Come, sit down. We were just about to start on Astronomy. Isn't that one of your best subjects?"
Luna agreed quietly, sitting down beside you. "More the stories. I love reading about Venus and Neptune and those other beauties... much like you two."
Hermione flushed red, quite grateful for the dark. "You're the moon goddess, Luna. I mean, your name."
"It suits you," you chided. "Even now, seeing the moonlight reflect on your hair, your eyes, lips..." You gulped. She was staring at your mouth now. You thought of Amortentia.
"Thank you," she whispered, drawing herself closer to you. Her coat wasn't as thick as yours or Hermione's.
"Maybe I should sketch Luna in my margins. Or little 'Mrs. Lovegood's or something like that," Hermione smiled.
"I certainly would," you agreed. Luna's cheeks were tinged pink, more visible because the attention of your lights were on her. "Are you blushing, love?"
"Can't help it," she breathed, nestling her face into your neck out of embarrassment. A strong part of her, however, only wanted to be closer. Her whole body edged imperceptibly toward you. Hermione repositioned herself also, almost closing the gap between the three of you to 'talk better'. Your hand drifted to Luna's thigh, smoothing over the wool of her dress. You resisted the sudden urge to slip beneath it, along the brown tights, up to where the fragile fabric merged...
Hermione's knees were touching yours. Even through your jeans it was electric. Your mind jerked awake, albeit the late hour.
"I was going to ask...," Hermione began cautiously, "is there still something going on between you and Neville?"
"There never was," Luna replied happily. "We went on one date and decided we were stronger friends."
Hermione glanced at you, hardly a moment, hardly a look. Luna's leg shifted and your fingers found themselves at the hem of her dress.
"Does that mean I can kiss you?" you asked before thinking it through. You could have slapped a hand over your mouth. It was the lateness, surely - surely she would understand - but instead she stood. You cursed at yourself. Humiliating.
Except then she sat down again, back to Hermione, seated on your lap. You gaped. "Well?" she prompted innocently.
Your hand captured the nape of her neck, pulling her gently closer, teasing at the soft rose curve of her Cupid's bow, the plumper flesh of her lower lip. Finally, your teeth grazed her cheek and your mouths met. She let you lead, and you forced yourself to be patient, lingering after rushed tides of kisses. Torturous.
What is happening? Your books were long forgotten beside you. Hermione leaned closer still, breath tickling the blonde’s neck. This has to be a dream. Too surreal; just like these two beautiful women. But you were too afraid to stop, lest someone change their mind.
“It’s now or never,” you thought Luna whispered, but it was mostly lost in the wind, in the distraction of her braided her brushing against your shoulder. Hermione’s lips finally reached her skin, timidly venturing along the slant of her throat. Luna pulled back for air, your mouths disconnecting for the first time, lips dark against the pale of her face.
You allowed your fingers to wander; beneath the dress, along the tights, against the pool of damp between her legs. Your eyes met her crazed ones, and amongst whines - accolades for Hermione, who had now reached fingers around her chest - you elicited a nod, maybe two, three. How much of it was just her moving in accordance with Hermione’s sloppy kisses, the rhythm of her desperate grasps at Luna’s breasts, you would never know.
Yet with hardly any hesitance, your nails pinched the fabric, pulled it down, digits exploring her folds, disoriented. You ran your thumb over her pussy, curled it once inside her, searched along her for her clit. Your index and middle finger clasped around it, almost exasperated, and she rewarded you with a breathy moan that made you shudder.
Hermione groaned, slipping her hands further under layers of clothes so that she could reach Luna’s flesh properly, her front to the other girl’s back so that she could grind herself against Luna’s ass.
You caught her lips again, less stable this time, as she was pushing back and forth between you and Hermione, hoping for more friction. Your free hand grasped her jaw to hold her face still, meeting her with all the vigour you could translate.
Hermione discarded her coat, you following suit, leaving your moon goddess momentarily untouched and dazzling as she writhed on your lap. Her thin jacket was long gone and her dress, long-sleeved top underneath, stockings - were rumpled, scrunched in various places. Before you could worry about the cold she pulled the dress over her head, then the white top. Her tights remained bunched around her ankles, panties pushed to the side.
You wished, in retrospect, you had taken a moment to just look at her, admire her, but patience was a virtue and within seconds you were all over her, tongue tracing the smooth descent of her skin, running over the stretch marks at her belly, teasing the line of her underwear. Your fingers jerked into her, curling after every quick thrust within her cunt. She moaned wildly, out of breath, hair splayed behind her head like a halo.
Hermione had lowered Luna’s torso onto her own legs, kneading at her breasts with tender defiance.
“Harder,” Luna whispered into the night, face gleaming before the brightness of Lumos. “Please.”
“Are you sure, love?” you managed.
“Yes. Please.”
You could see Hermione’s grip on Luna’s body fasten, one of her hands migrating to her mouth, where Luna greedily sucked on her digits, grunting around them. Your speed picked up, fingers slamming with more force into her pussy as you toyed with her clit. Her back arched, the bones of her shoulders digging into Hermione’s thigh while her hips gyrated faster than you could have fingered her. Moans came in gasping lungfuls, your grunts accompanying her at the effort.
“Oh, Merlyn,” Hermione whined, pulling back her hands as if she was over-stimulated herself.
Luna threw her head back fully then, coming to an abrupt standstill, but you rode her through her orgasm, cunt clenching around your fingers as you felt her cum leak onto your hand. You smeared it across her inner thighs, leaning back, watching her pant.
She slumped to the ground. You and Hermione haphazardly leaned down on either side of her, hands lazily dragging over her body. You gravitated towards Hermione, pushing past her skirt tiredly, rubbing up and down her slit, arm slung over Luna. Hermione couldn’t help but react, grinding against you. She humped your hand with increasing vigour until she was jerking on the ground, looking like she was having a fit. Pathetic noises sounded from her, desperation clear on her face.
Luna rolled over somewhat, interrupting your connection to Hermione, instead guiding their legs together. Her pussy began moving against Hermione’s and very quickly they were scissoring, both of them humping the other so fast they looked desperate. “Sluts,” you cursed, feeling yourself grow hot with want. The sound of their slick loud.
You rolled over also, positioning your groin at Luna’s ass, started thrusting yourself against the plush of her backside.
All three of you were groaning (you), moaning (Luna), whining (Hermione), a sinful orchestra with the sound of slapping skin as base.
“Oh, Merlyn, oh God, oh God-“ Hermione started to chant, and you could feel Luna’s body tense simultaneously, the two of them coming with pornographic finales. Now hurried, you gripped Luna’s waist with considerable force, pushed yourself even harder into her. Luna groaned as you worked toward your own orgasm, body being pushed back and forward with every movement.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck-“ you gasped, finally coming through your clothes, the rush of it almost making your eyes roll back into your skull. “Fuck!”
Luna backed into you (for the warmth), and you carefully wrapped your coat around her sore and bare figure.
“Which subject was that?” Hermione chuckled, brown curls cascading across the leaf-covered ground to the tip of her wand.
“I just hope it isn’t taught by Professor Snape,” Luna replied drearily. You couldn’t help but laugh.

— lost time | ron weasley
+ ron weasley x witch!reader
boy, the lack of ron fics on here is saddening. my goofy king is so under-rated so i just had to write someting. this is purely self-indulgent because i'm obsessed with auror!ron and miss hogwarts. can you imagine dancing with ron in auror robes? swoon.
tags: fluff, getting-together, aged up/adults, after hogwarts
You're not sure how long you've been staring. It might have been an embarrassing amount of time — if you cared to check.
Time has been good to him. He is taller than you remember, lankier than ever, cheeks hollowing out and accentuating his strong, angled jaw. He's dressed in Auror robes no doubt, the thick black material cutting into the pale, freckled flesh and contrasting tastefully with his fiery red hair.
You spot Harry Potter beside him, who, to no one's surprise, is surrounded by a swarm of people as Ron snickers at him from the edges of the group. Harry throws him a disgruntled look. Their boyish tendencies make you smile, as your mind's eye turns back in time, to your years at Hogwarts.
While most people in your year had been obsessing over the Boy who Lived, you had had your eyes set out for his best friend. He had been, after all, your then closest friend's brother. But nothing had ever happened except for him once borrowing a quill from you and then he was someone else's.
And now, years later, there's just a small flutter in your heart at the sight of him. The dysrhythmia induced by a school girl crush has long disappeared but he's plenty handsome and that is hard to ignore.
"If you'd like me to introduce you, you need only say the word," Ginny's voice stirs you out of your daze.
You blush, tearing your gaze away from the red-head and look at the witch beside you. There's an all too familiar glint in her eyes that makes you frown. You had already caught up with each other several minutes ago, delighted at finally being able to meet each other at this Hogwarts Reunion, which was otherwise impossible because of your busy schedules.
"It's Harry you should be worried about," you retort, gesturing at the sea of innumerable witches he has now disappeared amidst.
"Ron's not seeing anyone at the moment," Ginny notes nonchalantly and you almost choke on your drink.
"It was a school crush, Ginevra," you mutter, but your words sound hollow to yourself as you watch Ron Weasley tilt his head back and laugh at something Luna Lovegood had just said.
"If only you had told me before year seven...," she mumbles, trailing off into her own thought. Only when Harry, Ron and Hermione had famously left their last year at Hogwarts to go on a quest to save the world (a story that was now a bed time tale for the new generation of wizards and witches) did you confess to Ginny that you had had an unrequited crush on her brother. But then the world almost ended, lives were lost and you lost touch with your only link to the Weasleys.
"If only. Too bad a dark, evil wizard was trying to kill us all," you mutter and Ginny throws you a look.
"You're actually perfect for Ron, you know," she remarks and you sigh, sipping the last of the enchanted beer.
"Why are you trying to play cupid, anyway? Do you not have people to meet? Hear Slughorn's looking for you," you say, in a vain effort to change the subject.
"He was?" Ginny asks, suddenly perking up and looking around with a troubled expression.
"If he asks for me again, I was never here," she whispers, slinking off into the crowd and out of sight.
Finally managing to shake off the flaming presence of one, adamant Weasley, you weave your way towards the bar. You order another round of the butter beer and look off to your left and back, only to find yourself standing beside... Ron Weasley himself.
"Hi," you say, a little out of breath, having been caught like a deer in headlights. He looks shocked too, not expecting someone to ambush him at the bar counter.
"I'm Y/N L/N," you add, trying to compose yourself and smile awkwardly.
"Oh...Y/N...?" his expression remains blank.
"Ginny and I used to be close...," you say, trying hard not to let the disappointment shine through in your voice.
"Ahh," Ron mumbles looking away and you're not convinced that means anything to him.
You wish the ground would open and swallow you whole. You're about to make a run for it and apparate, to save yourself from the embarrassment, when Ron speaks up.
"You wouldn't happen to be the girl who set Dean and Ginny up back then, did you?" he asks, as he gestures for the bar tender - Mrs. Rosmerta's son you've learnt.
You frown. "No, I don't think that was me. Why?" you ask, curious.
"Oh they were trouble, don't know why anybody thought they were a good idea," he mutters and you chuckle.
"'Suppose it's better having your best friend date your sister," you note, grateful for an excuse to keep the conversation going.
Ron turns towards you. "You'd think. But every time he's home, she takes up all his bloody time," he murmurs, so very sincerely, that you can't help but laugh.
"Don't tell him I said that though," he says, turning his head to look at Harry in the crowd who has finally managed to find his way to his old friends. "Don't need his head getting any bigger."
You grin. "I doubt it'll ever come up but I'll keep it in mind," you chirp, pausing to take a sip of the drink hat the bar-tender's handed to you.
You fall into easy conversation then, the awkwardness disappearing as Ron's smile gets wider and you start feeling more relaxed. He's sitting much closer to you now, drink in hand, smelling slightly like an old comforter and toothpaste and you're so happy, you've forgotten your drink beside you.
"We had a good run here," Ron is saying. He looks up and around him, at the adorned walls of the Great Hall and you nod.
"She's still so beautiful," you murmur, looking at the ceiling that has been bewitched to twinkle like with sky with stars today.
Ron sighs, wistfully. "Merlin, I miss Hogwarts."
"What do you miss the most?"
"Everything, you know, the food, the teachers, these halls, the dormitories. Blimey, even the classes, the girls—"
"What was so bad about the girls?" you ask, pretending to be offended and Ron's ears turn red.
"No, hell, I mean, it was so difficult to talk to girls back then.... but I'd take that over what I have going on right now."
He looks at you sheepishly, running a hand through his hair.
You frown at him.
"What do you mean?"
"What with work and everything, you know, there's no time," he admits, sighing.
"I'm sure any witch would make time for a wizard like you," you muse, eyes twinkling.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Ron echoes, quirking an eyebrow at you but there's a playfulness to his tone.
"I mean— you're an Auror— a great, distinctly famous wizard— and a good man from what I've heard," you say, as the red-head's eyebrows shoot up higher.
"And you're gorgeous," you add after a beat, not quite looking at him but Ron turns crimson. It's bold, for your standards and you decide to blame the beer.
"It's not that easy you know," he says after a moment, clearing his throat.
You look back at him through your eyelashes. There's a new shine in his eyes, a little pucker at the corner of his lips that makes your heart beat a little faster.
You're in the mood to play, so you lean over. "Oh, it's not? Do tell..."
"Well, I've been sat here twenty minutes," he says, leaning closer, voice dropping low, "...trying to rack up the nerve to ask a witch out for a dance and been failing spectacularly so far."
A shiver travels down your back and you tongue the inside of your cheek to keep from grinning. "Maybe try now?"
Ron suppresses a grin.
"Do you...," he's turned a slight shade of pink and you can't help but smile.
"Do you reckon you'd like to dance with me?" he asks, running a hand through his hair, tousling it and you have a mad urge to smooth it out but resist. There's a blush tinting his cheeks but the bashful grin on his face makes your cheeks heat up.
"I'd like that," you whisper as Ron stands up and bows before you, extending his hand.
You weave through a large part of the crowd hand in hand, to a somewhat empty space is the middle and Ron pulls you close to himself, taking one of your hands in his and placing a gentle one on your waist, taking the lead.
You blush a little, surprised by the charge he takes. You definitely like this cooler, confident Ron with bits of awkwardness and goofiness sprinkled in.
"You're a lot different than I remember," you blurt out, regretting it the minute the words roll off your tongue.
To your surprise, Ron looks amused.
"You have memories from school about me?"
You start swaying to the music, falling quite easily into the step of waltz.
Trapped. "Well...I was one of your sister's closest friends and you were only one of the most famous wizard's best friend," you say quickly, before you can embarrass yourself more by letting out your secret.
The song slows down, as you gently sway to the music, painfully aware of how warm Ron's breath is on your face. The hall is quieter now, the couples swaying silently on the floor as others watch and the gravity of the situation sinks in.
You're dancing with Ron Weasley.
You try to contain the flurry of butterflies erupting in your stomach at the realisation, but it's hard to focus when he's so gently holding you against him. You dance in quiet embrace for the rest of the song, fighting a losing hormonal battle, and just as it segues into something slightly faster, Ron spins you out on one arm.
"I'm sorry I don't remember you from school much," he says softly.
It's nothing— it's a pinch, a paper cut if anything. You already know he doesn't remember you but you can't help the flutter of disappointment in your chest his words.
You roll back into his arm gracefully and look up into his piercing blue eyes.
"Quite a shame really, you'd think I'd not be stupid and remember one of the most beautiful witches I've ever seen," he says, a genuineness in his eyes that makes you falter.
You freeze briefly in your little step, a wave of heat erupting over your chest at his swift words. School-girl-you would've melted into a puddle on the floor at these words, but adult-you knows better and wills your rapidly beating heart to slow down.
"You'd think so," you reply breathily, feigning disappointment and Ron chuckles.
"I'm sorry. You've got to excuse teenage Ron, he was a right git," he says and you can't help but laugh.
"I forgive him," you say. "We were all gits when we were sixteen."
"You know," he pipes again, pulling you away from the center of the floor. The music has turned faster now and by the time he's pulled you to the very edges, the floor is a chaotic flurry of limbs.
"We could make up for lost time."
You quirk up an eyebrow at him, surprised by his forwardness.
"For someone who was struggling to ask me for a dance only minutes ago, you're being awfully direct."
Ron blushes but the grin on his face grows wider.
"Something an old friend told me about letting people know you fancy them when you fancy them," he mumbles and you quirk an amused eyebrow at him.
"You fancy me?"
He smiles sheepishly. "I thought it was obvious," he quips, pulling you closer by your fingers.
"I'd like to get to know you better then," you whisper. Ron smiles down warmly at you, turning your stomach to mush.
"I'd like to get to know you better too," he says, and his smile quickly turns into a smirk.
"Your place or mine?"

“the love within the hate.”
summary: he hated you the moment he laid eyes on you. you just didn’t understand. and in truth, neither did he.
parings: Draco Malfoy x !Hufflepuff reader.
word count: _
warnings/notes: no warnings 🖤 finished up an essay and I had nothing better to do so .. enjoy.
"Love can be found within the hate. like a single flower blooming in a field of thorns."
…
"I just don't understand," you said quietly and gloomily to Luna Lovegood, who was braiding your hair. It was finally Friday, and luckily, you and Luna had no homework to do.
"Why does he hate me? What have I done?" you finished. You were playing with the grass as you spoke. Luna tilted her head to the side to see your face. "It's the Nargles that are doing this."
“you’re righ- the what?” you questioned as you turned your head to face the girl behind you who had a dreamy look.
"The Nargles, of course. Wear this - it'll help," the blonde-headed girl said, as she reached for the jewelry she was wearing. But before she could hand it to you, a boy with ocean blue eyes and blonde hair came into view, blocking the sunlight. He was also with a tall girl who had short hair and bangs.
"Hanging with the freak, are you? Loony, is she?" Draco Malfoy said loudly. Beside him, Pansy Parkinson laughed, but it sounded more like a weird holler to you.
You had gotten up and faced the slightly taller boy in front of you.
"I'm hanging with a person who is actually worth my time - unlike some people I could mention." you said coldly.
"Watch that tone," Draco said, his jaw tightening.
“Who are you to tell me that?” you scoffed.
“I said Watch that tone-”
“You don’t get to tell me to “watch that tone-”
“Excuse me?” Professor Mcgonagall had said sternly as she came into view. “I do not want to hear such words coming from your mouth! do you want house points taken?” she said to you.
“No Professor.”
“Then stop acting in such a way!”
“Yes Professor.”
And with that, Professor Mcgonagall left with her nose in the air. you could sense that Draco and Pansy were laughing the whole time and you couldn’t take it any longer. grabbing Luna by her forearm, you left.
You were visibly angry at what Draco had said to your friend. Seeing her sad face when Draco had the audacity to call her 'Loony' made you even angrier.
You huffed and puffed as you tried to calm yourself and fall asleep but it was obviously not working. you groaned loudly and hopped off your bed. It caused Hannah Abbot and Susan Bones to stir in their sleep slightly.
You opened your dorm room slightly and left. your footsteps echoing all alone.
The halls were quiet. the only sounds the distant echoes of footsteps and the occasional creak of an old floorboard. The portraits on the walls watching over the castle, their eyes following you as you move through the halls quietly.
The night sky is visible through the castle's windows, a tapestry of stars that twinkle in the darkness. The moon casts a soft glow across the world below, illuminating the castle and casting eerie shadows across the walls.
The sky was a deep, velvety blue, and the air is crisp and cool. The world was quiet, peaceful, and still, as if holding its breath in awe of the beauty above.
Just as you were about to head back to your room after your own private tour, you had heard a voice.
“sneaking off are we?” the voice had said.
“Who are you?” you questioned as you tried to make out the dark silhouette who was leaning against the wall.
“Guess.” the voice had said teasingly.
“Uh Harry?” you said uncertainty.
“Do I sound like Potter to you?” said the voice rudely.
The way he said 'Potter' had you thinking and within a second you found out.
“Draco!” you exclaimed.
"Oh, so you aren't stupid," Draco said smugly.
“Shut up will you?”
“Why are you out at this time?”
“I can ask you the same thing.”
there was a second of you two both looking at each other, and you felt the tension rise dangerously.
“Come.” Draco had said abruptly.
“What?”
"Oh, so now you're deaf? Come!" Draco said as if you were really wasting his time.
You sighed dramatically and followed the boy who was quicker than you. turning left, then right, then left, you and Draco made it to the entrance of Hogwarts. he opened the door and surprisingly, which was not him at all, politely opened the door for you.
“Thank you.” you muttered.
You both walked a bit more and sat side by side by the front lake. The sound of the water lapping against the shore and the cool breeze on your skin made you feel at peace. You both gazed at the billions of stars right in front of your eyes, marveling at how they seemed to twinkle and dance in the sky, creating a magical atmosphere. You noticed how easily the stars lit up the night sky just with their luminous beauty, as if they were happy to share their light with you. The moment felt timeless, as if you were the only two people in the world, surrounded by the vastness of the universe.
Draco then sighed and turned his head towards you. he then started to speak.
“Listen.. I’m sorry.” he said softly. he didn’t take his crystal eyes off you as he spoke.
You kindly, but strangely let him go on by saying nothing.
“It was stupid, thinking I can run away from love. stupid for me to talk to you like that. i just .. didn’t want to accept the fact I loved you- I didn’t want to believe that I was in love with you. these stars that are so far away remind me that love always finds a way, no matter where you go or how hard you try to run from it.”
he then turned away from you and looked up at the sky. he took one deep breath and looked back at you.
“I’m in love with you and I’m not gonna run away from love any longer.”

Ever since you moved to Everbrook, you could tell everyone around you thought of you as odd. You were twenty-two, what were you doing living in a small old cabin outside of town? Didn’t you want to go to parties, do drugs, whatever it was that kids did these days?
Maybe that’s why you loved Everbrook, it felt like time had stood still even now, years after you had visited as a small child. There was something charming about it, as if you had stepped into a fairytale. Only fairytales had less gossip than Everbrook did.
You had frequented Everbrook every Halloween as a kid. Your grandmother had lived in your cabin once, and much like you, she had a house and a mind full of secrets and spells. Your grandfather died before you were born, and that was when your grandmother hauled all her things to buy this cozy nook of Everbrook.
And every Halloween, she would whisk you and your siblings away to celebrate. The town loved Halloween and was known for its fairs and parades. And it’s dark corners.
To tourists, just like you were as a kid, whispers of vampires, ghosts and witches were just silly ways to get them to buy merchandise.
But your grandmother swore by these stories, telling you to be careful of how you spoke ill of the supernatural. And it was only on your fourteenth birthday did you truly find out why.
You could never describe it, why your grandmother showed up on the dark and stormy night that was the eve of your birthday. It was like she knew something was going on, something bigger than just turning fourteen.
When you woke up the next morning, you couldn’t control anything. Things flew off your shelves before you could fully grab them, candles lit with nothing but a gentle blow of wind from your mouth, and when you went to school that day, an infamous bully had decided to pick on you the wrong day. You just glared at her, telling her to “eat frogs.”
As the first frog hopped out of her mouth, you stood horrified. Then the next one came. And the next one.
You didn’t stop running until you got home, where your grandmother sat, swirling her spoon in her cup of tea. Her hand didn’t touch the spoon. She told you that day of the truth. That every other generation, a child is chosen to become a witch in your family. Your father missed it. And she told you the story of your grandfather, a monster hunter sent to kill her. But something had happened on that mission, something no one could explain. They had fallen in love.
And for years, your grandfather was able to tell the entire hunting community that she was off limits. When he died, he told her to move to Everbrook.
“Why Everbrook?” You had asked, and she looked at you, with this mischievous smile.
“Surely you understand, my dear.” When you said nothing, she chuckled. “There’s magic there. Magic that keeps hunters from going anywhere near the place. That’s why there are so many monsters there today. Witches, like me and you, we’re harder to find. But vampires, ghosts, demons. They’re all real. And a lot of them live on sacred land like Everbrook.” She explained. “That’s why we must go, and I must teach you how to control your gifts—”
You stood up, seemingly horrified by this idea. You weren’t some kind of freak; you were totally normal. You had no reason to go with her.
“I’m not going with you! I’m nothing like you!” You stormed off to your room, inclining her to drop the topic for now.
Time and time again, your grandmother would encourage you to let her teach you. Instead, you sheltered yourself away from the world, focusing on maintaining the abilities you had. They terrified you. You were just a kid, how could you be a scary witch, something that was made up to scare small children into behaving?
So, you never went to your grandma’s house again. And you didn’t celebrate Halloween, and for a long time, you pretended. Pretended you were normal, when you went to college, in your relationships.
But the past eventually caught up with you when your grandmother passed away. She had left you her house in Everbrook, as well as a small sum of money. She had written you a letter, begging you to move there, to read her old books and to embrace who you were.
It took you almost a year, but you did.
That was a long time ago, and yet, it was also yesterday.
You lived a peaceful life in Everbrook. You learned how to at least properly manage your magic, not yet totally mastering it. You planted a garden and made sure your vegetables and herbs were always taken care of.
You made friends with various groups of monsters, your favorite being a ghost that haunted your favorite coffee shop in town. You live a good life, one devoid of people chasing you and trying to kill you for what you could do. You were simple the village crazy person, always on the outskirts of town in your own little world.
Sure, Everbrook was a small, quaint town. A little too small at times, but you loved your small crazy time. Nothing went exceptionally wrong here.
That is, until you meet a monster hunter named Joel.
• • •
Okay, you don’t know he’s a monster hunter when you meet him. He doesn’t know you’re a witch, so what did it matter?
He had moved to Everbrook with a kid, Ellie. You wondered why. Why a man in his late forties, early fifties, would adopt a teenager, and why they would move to this strange little town, away from everything.
You meet him in the bookstore. You, in between tending to your garden and learning spells, are determined to learn how to bake. You’re a good cook, but baking doesn’t come nearly as easily to you.
He’s shopping for comic books when you see him. You note everything about him, letting your head tilt to the side as you examine him. He wears this green and black flannel, appropriate for this time of year. His jeans are this dark blue, and his boots have leaves sticking to the bottom of them. The roots of his hair, and small pieces of his beard, are gray.
You bite your tongue.
You’re suddenly seventeen years old, with your first real crush on a guy. He was your older brother’s best friend. You suppose you’ve always had a thing for older guys, then. It was just a habit you’ve picked up on. Not that you weren’t of an appropriate age, but there was still a gap.
“Didn’t your mother ever teach you it was rude to stare?” He asks, not looking up from the comic he’s inspecting. Your head turns, trying to tell if he’s talking to you or someone else. Besides the bored employee at the front counter, you’re the only two people in the store.
“How’d you know I was staring?” He chuckles, looking up to you for the first time, and he’s struck by your appearance. You’re wearing these dangly crystal earrings, with lavender flowers sticking out of your belt. You wear boots too, although they’re much less dirty than his, and sticking out of them are bunched up woolly socks. You’re holding a basket, with a loaf of bread inside, as well as a jar of jam and some chocolates. Your shirt is this deep purple, and the sleeves become nice and flowy after your elbows.
“Just had this feelin’, darling.” Your cheeks flush at the nickname.
“This feeling?” You mutter to yourself, not really asking for clarification. You take a few steps forward, flipping through the comic books. You don’t look at him. “Looking for anything specific?”
“Comics for my... for a friend. Turnin’ fourteen, figured I should get her something.” He tells you. You cringe at the age, remembering your horrible fourteenth birthday.
“You have a friend that’s a fourteen-year-old girl?” You question, a light teasing tone to your voice. He gives you this look, one of sarcasm and disbelief, without a touch of annoyance or anger.
“Will you just give me a suggestion, or are you going to keep asking questions?” He asks.
“Touche.” You say, before pulling out a cool sci-fi one that had been recommended to you. “Here, get her this one.” You hand it to him, and he examines it for a few minutes, seemingly trying to get a grip on what it is and what the plot was. But, he figures his friend will enjoy it, so he glances back at you and smiles.
“Thank you,” He pauses, asking you for your name without asking for it. You tell him, and he still has this small smile on his face. “I’m Joel. Joel Miller. Am I gonna be seein’ you around?” He asks. You shrug.
“I live on the outskirts of town, in this little cottage. I only come into town every so often.”
“The old brick one with the overgrown garden?” You frown. “I live in that area, in the cabin with the blue mailbox.”
“My garden is not overgrown, Mr. Miller, it’s just full!” You defend. But it perplexes you, no one except introverts and people who want to stay hidden live in that area. You wonder what Joel Miller could possibly be hiding but convince yourself for the moment that Joel Miller is just an introvert. After all, that’s what you tell people when they ask about you. He chuckles, shaking his head.
“Then I’ll see you around, Darlin’.” He hums, and nods to you, “Thanks for the help.” Then he goes to the counter to pay for the gift, and then he’s gone. You must have this perplexed look on your face, because the woman at the counter, Angela, just smirks as she rings you up.
“He’s handsome, huh?”
“What?”
“The guy you were talking to.”
“Well, I can’t say he’s not handsome.” Your face flushes. She laughs, although not maliciously. \
“Even fairies who live on the outskirts of town like you deserve love.”
“’m not a fairy...” You mumble as you make your way out of the shop, head turning down the sidewalks to see if you can spot Joel. When you can’t, you begin your long walk home, disappointment stabbing at you the whole time.
• • •
The next time you see Joel, you go to his house.
You don’t go to see Joel, but you made these homemade chocolate chip cookies, and they turned out a lot better than you expected. You want to share your creation with someone, so you head to the cabin with the blue mailbox in hopes of finding the young girl he lives with and giving her them as a birthday present.
You decide, on the off chance that you do see Joel, to wear this cute dark green jumper, with a black layered skirt, as well as your standard black boots. You put your hair up with a bandana and head over to your destination. It’s colder than it was the other day when you met him, but it’s nice.
In your basket, you keep the cookies, as well as a bundle of flowers from your garden. You knock on the door, and a young girl answers, her hair pulled back. She wears ripped jeans, an Adventure Time tee shirt and a long-sleeved black shirt under it.
“Uh... Can I help you?” She asks.
“Hi! Does Joel live here?” You’re sure he does, but you want to make sure just in case. The girl gets this smirk on her face, and you feel your ears go red.
“You’re the one from the bookstore.”
“…He told you about me?”
“Won’t shut up about you. I’m Ellie.” She smiles, and opens the door further, inviting you to come in. “He’s upstairs, I can grab him for you—”
“Uh, I’m actually here to see you.” She stops and looks at you. “He told me it was your birthday, and I decided to give you these.” You pull out the cookies and the flowers and hand them to her. She gasps at the sight of the cookies, delicately putting the flowers down before grabbing a cookie. She hums, looking to you.
“These are amazing! I haven’t had good cookies in so long, Joel isn’t much of a baker,”
“Neither am I, honestly. I’m still learning, but I figured it was your birthday and you deserve some.”
“Could’ve fooled me.” She hums, finishing her cookie.
From the top of the stairs, you hear a familiar voice yell out, “Ellie, who was at the door?”
“Come down here and find out, old man!” You laugh, but quickly stop laughing when he comes down the stairs. His hair is wet from the shower. You want to scream at how good he looks. He just stares at you, and neither of you says anything until you decide to go first.
“Uhm, I brought cookies.” You say, “I’m sorry for the intrusion.”
“No, no, you didn’t intrude... I just, wasn’t expecting you is all.” He says honestly. You begin to look around a bit at your surroundings and realize that Joel and Ellie have been living the bachelor life, and there aren’t many boxes. You wonder if they had any boxes to begin with, since it seems they’re close but there’s something off about the whole dynamic. You can’t put your finger on it, but you see that Ellie clearly isn’t here against her will.
But who are you to judge? You live a witch’s life, and that isn’t something you share on a first date.
“Well, help yourself to a cookie,”
“Hey! You said these were my birthday cookies!”
“Ellie!” Joel scolds, looking back at you. “Would you like a cup of coffee?”
“Sure, that would be nice.” You smile, and he gets you one. “Would you like to go outside to talk?” You ask softly, and he just smiles and nods, grabbing a cookie before going out with you and your coffee. You lean against the porch railing, sipping your coffee. You wait for him to begin the conversation, suddenly quite nervous.
“So…How long have you lived in Everbrook?”
“A while. Are you gonna be here for a while?” You ask.
“I think so. I like it here, nice, and quiet.”
“Yeah, it’s nice.” You hum. “How’d you wind up with Ellie?”
“I uhm… I adopted her. Knew her folks.”
“Oh, I’m sorry...”
“’s alright...” He smiles gently and sips his coffee. “She liked that comic book you recommended, so thanks...”
“No problem. She’s a nice kid.” You smile.
“So, what’s your deal, Darlin’?”
“My deal?”
“You’re always dressed in these crazy outfits, and you have this dazed look about you. Like a little bunny.” Your face flushes, and you laugh.
“I just like living the simple life. So, what if I dress a little eccentrically? You dress like a lumberjack all the time, am I gonna see you chopping trees?” You tease, smiling gently. He laughs and it makes you all warm inside. Maybe he really likes you.
“No, no chopping trees for me.” he said gently, leaning against the banister.
“Well, what do you do for work?” He pauses and stares out into the forest ahead of him.
“I used to be a hunter.”
A chill runs down your spine, and you begin to think. It would make sense, his sudden showing up in Everbrook, his interest in you. But how does that connect back to Ellie? Why would he adopt a teenager in his line of work?
Why hasn’t he killed you, then?
“Yeah. My grandfather was a hunter. Until he met my grandmother, then he couldn’t do it anymore.”
Joel stays silent, sipping his coffee.
• • •
About a week goes by, and Joel shows up at your door. The top part of your door is swung open and you’re cooking dinner when he walks up the path through your garden. He calls your name into the open door, and you quickly appear. You grin at him, and then you notice the bouquet of wildflowers he holds in his hands.
“These are for you.” he says softly, and you take them, a large grin on your face.
“Thank you. They’re gorgeous.” You tell him.
“Pretty girl like you deserves pretty flowers.” He says, and your cheeks flush.
“Please, come in.” You tell him, opening the bottom of the Dutch door. He steps inside, and notices how warm it is. Not temperature wise, but there’s this feeling to it. Warm yellow lights, plants everywhere, the smell of dinner cooking on the stove. Somewhere from deeper in the house, music plays.
“What’re you cookin’?”
“Oh, I’m making chicken parm…Do you want to stay for dinner?” You’ve never asked anyone to stay for dinner, it’s a bizarre feeling.
“I’d like that.”
“Alright, good. Then set the table, and then we can eat.” You tell him. He hums and goes to do as he is told. Eventually, you manage to plate and serve dinner, sitting across from him. You watch him for his reaction to the food, and after a few bites he just hums lowly, and looks at you, pointing to the dish with his fork, not saying anything. You grin. “I’m glad you like it.”
“Thank you for having me for dinner. I came over to apologize, really.”
“Apologize?”
“I didn’t mean to tell you I was a hunter. I know how off putting that could be for someone, to hear I hunted animals.”
You can’t confirm your suspicions that he was hunting more than just animals. So you let it go, in favor for him not pushing you and finding out that you were a witch.
“It’s alright, Joel. Everyone has to make a living somehow, right?” You hum. He smiles and nods. “So, where’s Ellie tonight?”
“Eh, I wanted to give her some time to herself.”
“Good man.” You smile, continuing to eat your food.
“Where’d you happen to come upon this little cottage?” He asks you, tilting his head.
“I inherited it from my grandmother.” You told him, a soft smile on your face, as there always was when you thought of her. “She was a good woman. She passed away when I was twenty-one.”
“I’m sorry to hear that.” He tells you, and you can tell by this look in his eyes that there’s something more to his sentiment. That this is a man who has known grief well and is haunted by it. You wonder if he toured the country killing people like you before or after he became good friends with grief.
“It’s okay. I got to move here and live a good life.” You confess, and this makes him smile again. Then, you can’t help but ask. “Why’d you move to Everbrook, Joel?” He tenses at your questions. You can tell he’s contemplating what to tell you. You know whatever he tells you will only be a half truth no matter what.
“Ellie got into some trouble where I used to live. Figured a place like this would be good for her. Safe.” You can tell it’s not a lie, but you aren’t satisfied with it. That’s when you realize you have to know. You do know that all hunters have the same tattoo, right above their inner elbow on their biceps. It’s always a bow and arrow, with the hunter’s initials incorporated into the arrow. You also know the tattoo is protected by some sort of seal that burns most creatures to the touch. You have to know. So, with a wave of your hand, subtly, the glass of wine Joel drinks from spills all over his flannel, and he huffs.
“Oh my god, here,” You start handing him napkins as he attempts to clean up the mess. He glances up at you, and his eyes have this look about them. Like he knows you were the reason it spilt. Then, he starts to unbutton and pull off his flannel before he suddenly remembers that you would see his Hunter’s mark. You realize he knows your plan and stand, going over to him and dabbing his flannel with your napkin.
“C’mon Joel, take the flannel off.” You sigh, and he says nothing. He slowly begins to pull off the flannel, but before you can really look for a tattoo, his hands are on your waist, pulling you between his legs.
He leans up and kisses you before you can see the tattoo. You put your hands on his cheeks and kiss back, bringing yourself closer to him. He hums into the kiss, standing up and walking, so that you’re up against your counter tops.
His hands are roaming your sides, and you groan softly into the kiss. The desperation you’ve had since you met him, it all comes to a head. Your hands first go to his hair, where they play with his hair, including the grays that threaten to push you over the edge.
Despite your suspicions that he wants to kill you, you want him desperately. You groan as he bites your lip, tugging it a bit, and you just moan. Your hand runs down his arm, because just for a moment, you forget the context of the kiss.
You pull away when your hand starts to burn, letting out a yell.
He looks terrified that you’ve found him out. Tears prick your eyes.
“I knew it..” You whisper softly, turning to run your hand under cold water. Joel’s tattoo glows, as it always did when anything supernatural touched it. “I think you should go.”
“Darlin’, I—”
“Go, Joel! I don’t want you here, just fucking kill me when I’m walking home from the market! Don’t kiss me like you want me when you’re here to kill me!” You snap, tears running down your face. He doesn’t say anything after that. He steps forward and kisses your shoulder gently.
He turns and leaves, and even though you tell him to leave, you turn back hoping to see him.
The worst part is that nothing makes sense anymore. He’s stronger than you. If he wanted to kill you, he could have. And how does Ellie fit into the situation, why would he move to a magical town with a teenage girl?
You’re frustrated, and your hand is burning. You cry some more as you attempt to clean the spilt wine, frustrated that it stains the rug that the table stands on. You were such an idiot, why would you let him kiss you? Why would you kick him out after?
You decide a cup of tea will help clear your mind, but you don’t stop crying all night.
• • •
The full moon looks beautiful tonight. You’ve charged your crystals and have done your monthly rituals to enable a prosperous month ahead. So, at around midnight, you go for a walk through the woods. Even though you know how dangerous it is. The woods, on nights like tonight, are full of werewolves. But most of them live in their own woods across town, so you don’t expect to have any problems.
As you’re walking, you’re thinking about Joel. You can’t help it, your kiss has you yearning for more, and you’re just desperate for him. You’re too deep in your thoughts to hear footsteps behind you, until someone grabs your arm and you’re pulled behind a tree.
And when you see Joel, you’re even more mad at him.
“What’re you doin’ here?!” He whisper-yells, and you glare.
“What are you doing here?! I’m allowed to go for walks whenever I want, you aren’t the boss of me!”
“Always so damn in your own mind, could you consider for a moment that I’m just trying to make sure you’re okay?!”
“You’re here to kill me!”
“I’m here to make sure Ellie doesn’t kill anyone or get herself killed!”
You stop.
“What...?” That’s when you hear it, a howl. It sends a shiver down your spine. And that’s when it all clicks. Joel isn’t hunting you; he isn’t here to kill you. Ellie isn’t a kid he adopted from a friend, she’s someone he’s assigned to protect. He used to hunt, but not anymore. “She’s a werewolf.” You look at him.
“And you’re a witch, are we all caught up now?”
“How’d you know?’
“Before the mark burnt you and you spilled my wine? I just knew. I hunted people for years, but you witches, you always have these cabins in the woods, and you’re always baking, and you always have flowers. It’s like y’all are one big stereotype—” He’s cut off by your lips on his, and his hands are on your hips again, pushing you against a nearby tree. You hum before he pulls away, starting to kiss down your neck.
“Joel...” You say softly, your hands in his hair.
“I’ve got you, sweet thing...” He mutters, biting down on your neck, leaving a mark.
Ellie howls again, closer now. It snaps you both out of your trance and you look to each other. He grabs your hand, and you make your way through the woods, back to your cabin. He’ll make sure you get home safe, and then he’ll continue to look after Ellie. But he hears it before you—Panting, pattering steps behind you.
“Run!” He tells you and you both take off. Twigs scrape the bottoms of your legs and your arms as you run, never letting go of Joel’s hand. Your skirt catches on one of these branches and you topple over, letting go of Joel’s hand. Before he can reach you, Ellie is on top of you—She’s smaller than other werewolves you’ve encountered but the weight of her fur is too much. She has you caged in, and she has this snarl on her face.
Then, the strangest thing happens. She starts to sniff your skin, as if trying to figure out who you are.
“It’s me, Ellie. It’s just me, ‘m not gonna hurt you, honey.” You tell her. And it’s as if a lightbulb switches inside of her head, and suddenly she’s licking your face, happy you’re here. You groan at the slober, and gently push her head away from you.
She backs off, letting you get up. You kneel back down to scratch her head.
“Why were we running if we knew she wouldn’t kill me?” You ask.
“Didn’t know that. She doesn’t attack me, but she’s attacked others.” He tells you. You hum, picking up a stick and waving it in front of her face, before throwing it as far as you can. She runs off to get the stick. It makes you laugh.
You stand fully now, glancing back to Joel.
“So…”
“I gotta finish looking after her. She’s my mission now.” You nod, stepping closer to him.
“Well..” You start, your hands on his shoulders. “You could at least kiss me again.” He grins and leans down, kissing you softly before pulling away.
“Like that?”
“Hmm, I was thinking something with a little more passion...” You shrug. “It was okay, I guess.” You tease, and he smiles, then brings you in for a longer, deeper kiss.
You spend all night with Joel, looking after Ellie and kissing until dawn. When the morning comes, you go out in search of Ellie on your own, a blanket and some pajamas in hand. Joel’s searching the other way. You find her, cold and alone, huddled up by herself. You frown.
You crouch beside her and wrap the blanket around her, frowning softly.
“Sorry I licked you.” She says softly. You recognize the tone of her voice. Her shame in who she is. You empathize with it, remembering how horrible it was to be fourteen. You smile and hand her the clothes.
“Don’t worry about it.” You turn so she can get dressed, but the blanket remains wrapped around her shoulders. You realize she doesn’t have shoes on. You frown and pull off your boots, kneeling in front of her. You gently put your socks on her feet, and then your boots. You lace them up, and make sure they’re nice and tight. “There. Nice and warm.”
You glance back up to her, and you see tears running down her face. You frown and bring a hand to cup her cheek. She doesn’t have to say anything, you know she feels ashamed and embarrassed of her newfound abilities.
“Oh, honey… You don’t have to apologize. I was bitter and angry when I became a witch, and it destroyed me. You come from a very long line of werewolves, and—”
“I’m the first one. I got bit six months ago.” You frown. That’s why this wasn’t Joel’s first time watching over her on a full moon. And you’ve heard of werewolves biting kids before they’re fourteen and starting a new line of the creature.
“Then I’ll teach you. How to live this life, how to be happy in your own skin. It won’t be easier, but embracing who you are is so much easier than ignoring it. I’ll be here every step of the way, and so will Joel. We’re not gonna leave you to deal with this on your own.” You tell her, and when you stand up finally, she hugs you tightly. You smile to yourself and hug back.
“You two okay?” Joel asks when he finally finds you two. Ellie wipes her tears and smiles at him.
“Yeah, let’s go home. I’m sick of these woods, and I want breakfast!” she declares. You laugh, rubbing her back and beginning your walk to their cabin.
This is it, you decide. This man and this girl, they’re it for you. They are your happy ending, your family. Sure, it’s not the most conventional family, what, with a werewolf, a witch, and a monster hunter. But it’s yours, and you’d be lying if you said you weren’t thrilled to have them.
You have spent so many years longing for someone to see who you are and love you despite your freakish abilities. But all along, you were meant to be around freaks who are just like you. You are designed to be each other’s family, and you were always destined for the fate of your grandmother—To fall in love with a monster hunter and live a quiet life in Everbrook as you perfect your spells.
Joel looks back at you for a moment with this perplexed look on his face.
“Darlin’, where the hell are your shoes?”

The Slytherin Party
By Jane F. Nyx
Pairing: Fred Weasley x Reader
Summary: At the monthly Slytherin Party there is only one rule. No Gryffindors aloud, except for a pair of twins. What happens when one of those twins happens to be your good friend and latest 'one-night stand'?
W/C: 1.1k
A/N: Based on the 'Hogwarts Party' tiktoks. Feedbacks and tips will be well received :)) Proof read. No use of (y/n).
Happy reading everyone!
The first thing to be heard was the sound of a muffled song blasting through speakers when I got closer to the 'door', the girl's unused bathroom.
Two Slytherin boys were watching the door, so I walked up to them, my trusty bag with all the goodies inside kept closer to me.
"I brought the puff Blaize ordered," I said, showing the boys my bag.
They opened the door for me to enter.
The loud sound of music becomes much clearer. People dancing, drinking and singing around. Almost every student from every house was there. The monthly Slytherin Party became a tradition.
No Gryffindors aloud. Hufflepuffs, the bakers and herbologists. The Ravenclaws, the potions and spells makers, were always welcome. And of course, no Slytherin could go through a party without their emotional support Hufflepuff buddy next to them.
I walked through the cloud of people trying to find the right ones. That's when I saw them, standing next to what looked like a potion Fontaine.
Blaize Zabini, who had Luna Lovegood leaning on his shoulder. And Mattheo Riddle, with Dove Jackson, aka my best friend, by his side.
I quickened my pace to talk to them.
-"Hey, love! How is it going?" Dove asked when I approached her group.
-"I'm doing good," I responded, "Brought the stuff, made this morning," I showed them all the bag and gave a smaller one that was inside to Zabini who gladly accepted it.
-"Did I ever tell you you're the best?" Zabini asked, passing the bag to Luna to give it to her fellow potion makers.
-"No need to, I already knew that," I laughed at the last part. Dove and Luna then took both of my arms for us to leave the boys and do some business.
We were dressed for the night, Dove wearing a dark green tight dress to match her house. Luna a white cocktail dress with glitter that fit her style perfectly. And me, my favourite, blood red dress.
We had just started to hand out the potions when they walked in...
The Weasley twins.
I quickly turned to Luna and Dove, grabbing them by their arms.
"You told me he wasn't invited," my voice sounded much more like a grunt, after the new discovery.
-"Well, we didn't invite them," Luna said with her calm tone, "Maybe Mattheo did. He was talking to Blaize the other day about some candy he had ordered for the party,".
Of course they did.
There was only one exception to the 'No Gryffindors Rule'. And that exception happened to be George and Fred Weasley.
And Fred Weasley happened to be my one party date/flow/thing/I don't know what happened that night.
Since then things became weird between us. I was drunk that night, he was drunk that night and we both had smoked a bit. So I don't know how much of it was real.
Yes, there was tension before that. But nothing more than Fred being a flirt. He was just a flirtatious person.
We were both dealers so it was made to happen that we would meet at any party soon. But I didn't know it would take only a week time.
"Looking good, sweetheart!" was the first thing I heard leaving that pretty mouth of his.
I felt two gentle ticks on my shoulder, so I turned around.
The one only Fred Weasley.
He was a little taller than me so I needed to look a bit up to see his face.
And God, did he look good tonight.
Black button-up shirt and dark blue jeans, the first two buttons of his shirt open leaving room for imagination.
Luna and Dove had disappeared, leaving me and Fred alone...
-"Hello, Weasley!" I gathered the courage to talk. "What are you doing here?" I already knew the answer, but everything was better than silence. Even tho we were at a party full of people.
-"Same as you," he said "Just business," Fred pointed at George who had handed a little bag to Mattheo and Blaize.
-"I see..." I didn't know what to say, did he even remember everything that happened last party?
-"I was actually hoping you would be here tonight," he said taking one step closer. I could smell the familiar scent of cinnamon and wood.
The same smell that felt so intoxicating the last time. The same smell that made me wanting for more and wished the night didn't end the way it did.
Both of us were just too scared, scared to take the next step and admit that what we had wasn't only rivalry between dealers, that it wasn't only the friendship we had built, that it wasn't only the flirting and shared glancings.
That it wasn't only me and him, but maybe a us.
He took another step closer, he was looking down into my eyes and I was looking into his.
-"You also look good tonight," a small laugh escaped Fred's lips and a smile appeared in mine.
A slower song started to play. It might have been destiny, but in any way, it happened.
-"Would you like to dance?" Fred asked, "Promise I won't run away this time," he smiled at the last part remembering the chaotic night you guys had had.
-"Yes," and there I was. Once again at the arms of Fred Weasley swaying to a slow song, my hands on his shoulder and his hands on my waist.
-"You know," Fred was talking in a much lower tone now, almost a whisper, "I don't regret the last party, nor do I regret kissing you, the only thing I regret was leaving you afterwards,".
-"Freddie..." I felt my cheeks heating up, "We were drunk," there I was once again blaming everything on the alcohol and the weed. Completely ignoring my feelings and second-guessing the whole thing.
-"I only drank that much to take the courage and finally hit up on you and admit that what I feel for you is much more than friends should feel for each other," his eyes seemed to spark, and I couldn't stop looking at them.
We were in a trance, completely forgetting the world around us.
"And I hope, that you feel the same about this redhead right here," there was hope in his eyes, but there was also fear.
-"What I feel for you is much more than friends should feel," I said, my heart racing, "And I don't regret anything. Not at all, the only thing I regret is that it ended,".
And he kissed me.
But not for the last time.

November Prompt 23: Raincoat
Words: 538 | Pairing: Luna Lovegood x reader
Upon the arrive of returning from break, Luna Lovegood had overheard you and Harry discussing the ominous creatures the other students couldn’t see. She skipped alongside you and Harry, mentioning that these creatures could only be seen by those who’ve witnessed death. Harry had lost Sirius just a year ago and you and Luna had both lost your mothers several years ago, all of it witnessed firsthand in the most fragile times of your lives.
A month later, the bubbly, barefooted, blonde haired girl bounces in front of you, leading the way into The Forbidden Forest. She’d done this before she’d told you in the corridor one day; somehow losing track of her path and the concept of time, she’d stumbled across the home of the skeletal black horses known as thestrals. You’d found Luna in the library just a week ago, still curious about the creatures and their habitat. She’d mentioned that the forest was forbidden, but she traveled there quite often.
A storm had struck up this morning, painting the gray sky with bolts of lightening and flooding the castle grounds with sticky mug. This was the perfect time to go out according to her. So in your raincoat, only one or two feet behind, you continue to follow her through the thick brush and rows of never-ending trees. The tops of them reach out to the sky as the raindrops come flooding down from the clouds above. It’s a beautiful sight to say the least.
“Here,” Luna hums while rummaging through the bag by her side. She soon outstretches a hand towards you and drops a fresh turkey leg from lunch into your wet palms. You cringe at the feeling. “They might like them.”
Glancing up from the meat in your palm, you watch as several dark, horselike creatures slowly come into view out of the coverage of the brush. Several adults wander around in the small clearing between the trees or at the small pond where raindrops ripple the bluish black surface. Soon enough, tiny winged babies make their way into the clearing, coming up to Luna like a long lost friend.
She carefully rubs her hand along the curled mouth of the creature, allowing her dainty hands to slip across its leathery, skeletal frame. She’s smiling the entire time, not a hint of fear on her face, and with that, you relax onto the damp forest floor with her. You place the meat on the ground, allowing the small creatures to take as much as they need without your hands in the way.
With a mouthful of meat, one of the babies nuzzles its tiny head against the wet shoulder of your black raincoat and you find yourself smiling at the greeting.
“See, they aren’t so frightening after all,” she hums, a smile following as she continues to rub down the tiny thestral that’s settled between the two of you on the wet ground.
You may have lost something dear to be able to see these creatures, but Luna was right, they aren’t as frightening once you’re finally able to accept the reason they’re no longer concealed from your view, and in things lost, you were able to gain a few new friendships.
