Here’s my story about growing up on MLP
The show started when I was 6 years old, but i didn’t get pulled in until I was 7. I remember it was a McDonald’s Happy Meal Fluttershy toy that did it (I still have it today and it sits on my dresser like a trophy). She had a brushable tail but no comb and a whole bunch of stickers. I looked at the box and my mom, who’d known about the show and remembered the original 80s version from her childhood, but she said she never really watched it or owned any of the toys, but I guess really wanted me to get into it. I still remember the first episode I watched was Read It and Weep (the one where Rainbow Dash gets into Daring Do) which today I find hilariously ironic.
This started a full-blown OBSESSION with the show. Soon I was collecting the blind bags, Beanie Babies, Happy Meal toys, I had FatHeads of all of the ponies on my bedroom wall, I had a My Little Pony lunchbox, a My Little Pony backpack, I wore My Little Pony underwear, I had My Little pony pajamas, I made a Twilight Sparkle Halloween costume one year, I had a My Little Pony birthday party one year. My mom compared me to Pinkie Pie but Twilight Sparkle was my favorite. I was an extroverted kid (the pandemic is what turned me into an introverted adult) and I started hoping I’d meet five friends I’d spend my whole life with just like her. I was a silly kid. I actually got bullied for being obsessed with the show unfortunately… this led to the loss of my first My Little Pony lunchbox.
And I wrote fanfiction! And I drew cringeworthy fanart because I was like that (my fanart improved over the years). When Equestria Girls came out, I started wondering if high school would be like that.
No, I never got to dance on cafeteria tables in school spirit wear. Sad.
As an adult, I think the show has definitely shaped me as a person who believes friendship, while not magic, is one of the most important things in the world. As for G5, it’s okay in my opinion. I haven’t watched any of the episodes after the Netflix movie, but I like the characters and I’m happy to see the next generation of kids gets to grow up on it too.
I did not hate Season 9. The later seasons I agree were not as good, but I never hated the School of Friendship or Cozy Glow (I actually love the idea of adorable child villains). The introduction of Scootaloo’s lesbian aunts warmed my heart, along with LyraBon getting married and implied AppleDash (though I think RariJack would have been better, just saying). I don’t hate The Last Problem either. Once again, a bit upset Rarity didn’t end up with anyone though because she deserved to have a happily ever after (and Gallus and Silverstream ending up in different places. I think those two should have gotten together)
Pony Life is bad. The introduction of Pinkie Pie’s brother makes no sense and opens up a lot of plot holes, even more than Maud never having been in The Cutie Mark Chronicles flashback. I never got behind Sparity. Rarity is too old for Spike and to be honest I think Spike and Sweetie Belle should’ve.
One thing I never understood was the hate on Flash Sentry and Timber Spruce. I think they’re both charming and both good for their respective Twilights. No no no. I ship Sunset Shimmer with EG’s Rainbow Dash, not Sci-Twi. No hate on Twiset, though!
My favorite episode of MLP, or episodes I suppose, are still A Canterlot Wedding, Parts 1 and 2. Queen Chrysalis will always be my fav villain. I love two-parters. Twilight’s Kingdom and To Where and Back Again are my others. I HATED The Mean Six btw. I found it a pathetic return for Queen Chrysalis and extremely anticlimactic. It’s the only episode I genuinely hate. There are some I dislike a bit but that’s the only one I hate.
A large inspiration to how Poisoned Lipgloss sounds is PrinceWhateverer. I love his music and I admire him greatly.
Sorry for the long post!! You guys can ask me anything on my opinions on the show!! Just a reminder, my blog is NOT suitable for minors, so please keep out!

Oh and please note that it's actually been too long since I seen MLP, so forgive me if you disagree with some of these choices or don't find them accurate.

Season 7 Retrospective
Well, we’re between highly anticipated movie releases this weekend (for me, anyway), so it’s time for our annual look back over the season!
Good lord, the beginning of Season 7 seemed like so long ago. I could have sworn the Flurry Heart episode was last season. Maybe this has just been a really long year. Well...okay, yeah, I can certainly see why it would feel that way, given the year this has been.
With a rating of 4-9-13 (W-L-T), this season must have been better than the last one, even if it didn’t feel like it. Season 8 is forthcoming, so how long before Hasbro gives up and reboots the series again? Only time will tell.
So, here we are. From best to worst:
#1. “Secrets and Pies”: This episode was...good? Like, really, really good? Why? I don’t get it! I wouldn't be so confused if you guys did this more often! I swear, the next time this happens, I'm going to get whiplash!
#2. “Rock Solid Friendship”: To complement the really good Pinkie Pie episode, here’s an episode that was really good in every way except Pinkie Pie! They’re at exact opposite ends of the season, too. Maybe it’s an equivalent exchange thing.
#3. “Triple Threat”: I thought this episode did a pretty good job of avoiding the “why don’t you just tell them?” problem that virtually every episode of every sitcom runs into. We’ve already established that Thorax is a whiny little milquetoast weenie and that Ember is a heinous prick who doesn’t listen to anybody but herself. Hell, that was the entire reason for the conflict in the first place! Honestly, why would Spike try to reason with either of them?
#4. “To Change a Changeling”: If the monster hadn’t turned out to be a giant mole, the ending battle might have seemed a little more life-threatening. That, Starlight’s very, very stupid plan, and Pharynx’s abusive ass made this episode a little worse than it should have been. Apart from that, though, I liked it!
And now here’s the hardest part of the list: trying to figure out which “tie” episodes were slightly better or worse than all the others.
#5. “Once Upon a Zeppelin”: Yeah, Twilight’s parents were annoying (and idiots), but not to the point that I’m going to dread them ever showing up in any future episodes (unlikely as that is at this point). Plus, bringing back Iron Will actually seemed to have a point, and it helped that he didn’t have to “unlearn” his lesson from his first appearance just to make the current episode make sense.
#6. “Uncommon Bond”: This episode went out of its way to prove that yes, Starlight and Sunburst really do have only one thing in common. I would have expected the resolution to be the realization that the two of them liked more things than just that board game, but nope! Giant version! That’s it!
#7. “Daring Done?”: I was so distracted this episode that I forgot to mention that Pinkie Pie was actually acting like Pinkie Pie and not an annoying little shitbag! It was refreshing! But anyway, you’d think Daring-Do would have written enough books by this point to realize the obvious tropes this episode followed. The real challenge for her is going to be stretching this adventure out to novel-length.
#8. “Discordant Harmony”: I’m still not sure what made Discord think he needed to change a bunch of shit about his house to make Fluttershy happy. It looked the same way he made her house look every time he visited her. What did he think she was expecting?
#9. “A Health of Information”: This is the second episode in a row on this list where Fluttershy acted kind of like a doofus throughout the episode for no discernible reason. It also proved that unicorns are the solution to everything. Need to grab some moss from a swamp without falling in? Unicorn! Need to collect honey from the flash bees without going anywhere near them? Unicorn! Need to destroy an entire planet without breaking a sweat? Unicron!
#10 & #11. “Shadow Play (Parts 1 and 2)”: The first half fools you into thinking this isn’t just going to be a run-of-the-mill finale episode by promising you a halfway interesting quest before immediately giving you all the artifacts within a few minutes. Ha! Gotcha!
#12. “Hard to Say Anything”: I’d kind of hoped we were past the whole “two men competing for the trophy that is the personality-deprived female character” cliché, especially in a show designed for children, but I guess not. I mean, at least Big Mac and Feather do realize that’s what they’re doing by the end, but that doesn’t fix Sugar Belle’s “sexy lamp” issue.
#13. “A Royal Problem”: Has Twilight been of help to any friendship-related issues since she stopped being the main character? I think these episodes must be based on Twilight's memoirs, i.e. this isn't how things actually happened; this is how she remembers them happening. Here's what really happened during "Magical Mystery Cure":
Twilight Sparkle: So...I accidentally totally and completely fucked up my friends’ lives, but then I fixed it! That means I'm good at having friends, right?
Princess Celestia (sarcastically): Oh, yeah, you're a regular princess of friendship.
Twilight Sparkle: *gasp* Really?!
Princess Celestia: Oh, no, I didn't mean– Ah, crap, the music's already started. ♫ You've come such a long, long way... ♫
Princess Celestia (mentally): I've really got to stop using the word “princess” as an insult. This is the third one this week. I'm running out of castles! She'll just have to stay in the library until I can find another one.
#14. “All Bottled Up”: This episode is a perfect example of why the writers typically just don’t include characters in an episode if they have nothing to do in said episode. That escape room nonsense was just stupid. The six of you might be best friends, but you have never gotten along that well!
#15. “Celestial Advice”: Ugh, this one. “As a teacher, I have to send my student away. I don’t know exactly why I have to do that, but I’m sure I’ll figure the reason out later. Oh, wait, you don’t want to leave? Well, that changes everything! You can stay!” I think they were making this one up as they went along.
#16. “The Perfect Pear”: One of the emptiest “love” stories I’ve ever seen. This was an “attraction story”, if you can even call it that. This is another case where I’m positive that at least a hundred better fanfics had been written about this exact story before the episode was released. I get why people have headcanons about things now. Why wouldn’t you have a fanon when the canon is so...weak?
#17. “Honest Apple”: Once again, we have a brand-new writer for this episode. Kevin Lappin was very likely just given a slip of paper with “APPLEJACK = HONEST” written on it, which constituted the entire material he had to work with. That might explain why Applejack was such an unlikable prick for the entire episode.
Whoo... All right. Here we go.
#18. “A Flurry of Emotions”: If you don’t want to watch your kid (because, seriously, you’ve got better things to do), just show up at one of your relatives’ houses one day and dump it on them. They’ll have such a guilt trip that they’ll be glad to accept! But make sure it’s someone who’s completely unqualified for the job and has a mountain of other responsibilities first. That’s the best way!
#19. “Campfire Tales”: The fact that this episode was actually just a clunky setup for the finale might explain why all three stories sucked so hard. It’s this season’s The Mummy!
#20. “Not Asking for Trouble”: Now we’re going to get into the part of the list where I have to figure out which episodes are worse by balancing how much the episode irritated me in general with how toxic the moral is. Trust me, if your children’s show has a moral of “Do what you want to do for other people, regardless of what those people have explicitly told you not to do, because you’ll end up being right in the end. After all, people don’t know what they want!”, you’ve fucked up something awful.
#21. “Fluttershy Leans In”: I said in this review that this felt like the MLP version of The Fountainhead, but I only just recently realized that I also said the same thing about Season 5's "Canterlot Boutique". Given that the episodes were written by different people, this must be a storyline that creative types really like (even if it’s nothing more than a power fantasy).
#22. “It Isn’t the Mane Thing About You”: All right, you actually had a good idea with this one. Despite being the Element of Generosity, one of Rarity's main problems has always been her vanity. That means you pulled off the rare feat of making the moral both 1. something the character hasn't already learned in a previous episode and 2. something that a normal functioning member of society might not automatically possess. (There has been a distressing number of lessons in the past five seasons or so that don't fit one or both of these qualifications.) It's just a shame you crashed and burned so spectacularly by 1. turning the moral from “don't be vain” to “have confidence” (something Rarity has never struggled with AND which you have already had as the moral in MULTIPLE previous episodes) and 2. went about it in the most nonsensical way possible!
#23. “Parental Glideance”: This one was a little sickening. The “my parents are so embarrassing!” trope is bad enough, but you’re an adult, Rainbow Dash! Grow up! If the things your parents are doing embarrass you (or if they’re legitimately dangerous, like SHOOTING FIREWORKS OFF AT AN AIRSHOW), talk to them! You can do that without snapping and acting like a dick!
#24. “Forever Filly”: Holy crap, I have never wanted to punch a fictional cartoon character in the face as badly as I did in this episode. I don’t know what made Sweetie Belle act like such a little shit or why Rarity is so out of touch with her (seeing as Sweetie Belle would have had to have been about four to be into the stuff she was trying to do), but I hated this. Shove your black box experimental theater up your ass.
#25. “Marks and Recreation”: I got the sense from the beginning of the series that cutie marks were originally supposed to be something really deep and meaningful. I mean, they’re your passion. They represent that thing that you love so much and are so good at that you can spend the rest of your life doing it and wearing a permanent symbol of it on your body. Well, not anymore! Now it’s just some obligatory shit that you get because you have to and that doesn’t have any real meaning at all! Fuck you! Just...fuck you!
#26. “Fame and Misfortune”: Yeah, no surprise there. Holy shit, this was a painful experience. Like “Stranger Than Fan Fiction”, this was just embarrassing to watch. To quote somebody else, “...you don't get back at critics by attacking them, you do it by ignoring them and continuing to be awesome.” Hell, this episode's moral is contradicted by its own existence. “You shouldn't be affected by criticism of your work. That’s why I wrote this episode where all my critics are painted as raving lunatics and I am totally the victim!” The fact that this is the SECOND such episode is just pathetic. This one actually manages to be worse, though, because, unlike the earlier episode when it was just Quibble Pants being a dick, this one paints the ENTIRE fandom as either complaining whiners who hate everything or creepy stalkers who follow everywhere you go. Nothing says “we want you to keep watching” like insulting the few fans you have left right to their face!
Remember, next week is the review of the remaining six Equestria Girls: Summertime Shorts. Be there!

In the Arranged Marriage AU, does Sweetie have more leeway in telling Twilight's family how she feels about how they treated her sister-in-law (because regardless of how polite they have to be, I just can't see either Belle sister letting Twi's family claim any more relationship to her than necessary and as such, call her "my wife" or "my sister-in-law"/"sister" as appropriate) or does she have to be just as polite? Or does she have the leeway but chose not to use it?
It’s not so much having leeway than it would be Sweetie probably getting more of a pass if she does act… “un-princessly” toward Twi’s fam because she’s a child. I don’t think Twi would ever actually tell Sweetie about how she was treated and I don’t know if Rarity ever would unless she was asked directly.
But I just got a crazy idea and for the sake of that idea, let’s just say Twi does tell Sweetie Belle bits and pieces of her home life, and maybe it’s because to some extent she still feels like they’re behavior toward her was somehow…. justified. Like she’s smart as a whip of course but maybe she still doesn’t fully understand how she was treated in her family wasn’t normal until she moves to Canterlot?
So when she’s indulging Sweetie with storytime, Sweetie isn’t paying much attention to the story this time because she’s staring at Twi’s face, the cheek that has the scars, and she eventually plucks up the courage to ask where it came from. Sweetie Belle thinks that maybe Twi got it from like some epic fight or something like that, because the heroes from her favorite stories sometimes have them, like Daring Do. But she see’s Twi deflate a bit and maybe she tries to laugh it off and say “oh, this was my fault. I did something I shouldn’t have.”
And Sweetie’s like ???????? because she’s still thinking along the lines of ‘maybe she tried to play with a sick cat and got scratched?? Maybe she fell trying to sneak some cookies?’ but then Twilight tells her how her sibling scratched her. And Sweetie is still questioning it, and asks something like “you mean on accident?” and Twilight’s like “well… no.” And then she tells Sweetie what happened, and no matter how young Sweetie is she can still see how Twilight honestly thinks the whole incident was her fault and she’s livid. She’s indignant for Twi, and she gets up and stomps and huffs and rapid-fire yelling things like “WHAT A JERK WOW” “They got in trouble right? That’s just terrible how dare they?!?!” And Twi’s trying to calm her down like “hey it’s ok it’s no big deal!”
And maybe she whirls on Twilight and says something like “They slapped you because you got a question right and they didn’t! How’s that not a big deal? Twi that’s not normal! You honestly think Rarity would do the same thing to me?”
And Twilight goes quiet, because she’s only known the family for a few weeks and she knows Rarity would never. So instead she sighs “it’s getting late, let’s get you to bed” and while Sweetie’s still peeved she relents, if only because Twi just looks so tired. And maybe even vows to give the jerk a piece of her mind should she ever see them.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuut yeah, just a hypothetical incident that may or may not actually happen. It kinda got a bit wordy there…. sorry about that. I hope it answered your question though!

I spent far too long mapping out MLP Tarot Cards. So I’m putting the list here to help myself remember to do something with it and possibly discuss with others?
Major Arcana
The Fool- The Cutie Mark Crusaders
The Fool is for innocence and beginnings. The Crusaders are kids starting to figure out who they are. It is also for recklessness and inconsideration. While not malicious, children don’t fully think through their choices and make mistakes.
The Magician-Trixie
Obviously. However, she does fit the card meaning.Willpower and desire are words associated with the card, something Trixie has a lot of. But so are trickery and illusions, when she cared only for Trixie.
The High Priestess- Discord
My choice for this is more on my own headcanons of Discord’s past. But the card is for Intuition and Inner Voice, but on the reverse we have repressed feelings that cause a loss of said Voice.
The Empress-Chrysalis
The Empress is a symbol of Motherhood, nurturing guidance. Things Chrysalis is supposed to be. But the Empress is also controlling. Mother Knows Best, after all.
The Emperor- Nightmare Moon
The Emperor is for structure and control. A father figure. Stern but wise and understanding. Quite like Luna. However, it’s reverse is a cold tyrant, the grip on the Kingdom causing them to suffer, much like Nightmare would have.
The Hierophant-Starlight Glimmer
Tradition and Conformity, much like Starlight’s Town. But also taking new approaches, diverging from the restrictions.
The Lovers-Cadence and Shining Armor
Self explanatory. The Card of Union, but also Harmony. But reversed could be a loss of balance.
The Chariot-Rainbow Dash
Willpower and control, harnessing the world around you to achieve goals, like becoming a Wonderbolt. Yet she is also at the mercy of opposing forces. Rainbow is Loyal to many ponies, which causes her to be stuck in the middle when friends fight, even if it’s a friendly competition like the Equestria Games.
Strength-Fluttershy
Bravery and Compassion. Some argue that Flutters isn’t brave due to her fears, but ‘ bravery is not ‘being without fear’ it’s standing up for what is right even though you are scared’. That said, the reverse is self-doubt and insecurity.
The Hermit-Spike
The Hermit represents contemplation, finding out who you are through journeying by ones self, but also the loneliness of losing your way on that journey. All I can think of is Spike’s search for who and what he is, a Dragon that acts like a Pony or a Pony that looks like a Dragon.
Wheel of Fortune-Pinkie
The Wheel is for changing cycles, and also Luck. But also the uncontrollable. Change and cycles, like that of seasons or the Sun and Moon. But it’s also for the fact that even when things are bad, there will always bee something good just around the corner, always another reason to smile.
Justice-Blueblood
This is another connected to personal headcanons, involving Blueblood being, essentially, an inside informant on the Nobility’s misdeeds. Justice stands for fairness, but also karmic retribution. However, there is also accountability.  Turning a bling eye to something that should have been given the proper punishment. In Blueblood’s case, that is Sunset Shimmer.
The Hanged Man- Rarity
This card is about sacrifice, self-sacrifice to be exact. while the card is a bit literal, it’s about Generosity, giving your all to others, even if it could hurt you. But there is also a thing as too much sacrifice, or hesitating out of your own wants. Rarity finds a good balance, but has moments of giving too much or hesitating for her dreams.
Death-Thorax
The Death card is for Change, Metamorphasis and the end of a cycle that starts anew, so it is quite literal here. It’s for a radical transformation, losing something to be better. Thorax is the symbol of Change for the Changelings, but also the end of a cycle. The end of Queen Chrysalis’s reign and the beginning of King Thorax’s.
Temperance-Applejack
Temperance is about walking the middle path. Unlike Rainbow and her Card(the Chariot) being torn between her Loyalties, Applejack goes for who is objectively right, but stays emotionally neutral in the conflict. The Mom friend. However, she does have her buttons to be pressed.
The Devil- Sombra/Obsidian’s Posesion
One of the more literal ones, and 100% headcanon related. This card represents fears, obsessions, and insecurities that hold people back. The Reverse, however, is about freeing ones self from the Devil’s clutches, restoring your own control.
The Tower-Diamond Tiara
Had to have Diamond in here because I love her so much. Anyway, the Tower is a card about the dangers of Pride, the destruction of the foundation of our lives to remake ourselves. Diamond’s whole life was about the things her Mother taught her, but she has seen the path she was heading down and has begun to fix it. However, as long as her mother is there, she can’t fully rebuild.
The Star-Twilight Sparkle
The Star is for Hope and Rejuvenation. She’s the Hero, and as long as she stands they are Invincible. But she also gives others second chances, and helps them remake themselves on their journey. That said, there are times where she gets into insecurity, and loses faith in herself, but just a Spark will give her what she needs to save the day.
The Moon-Luna
Duh. The Moon card is about the unconscious and illusions, Dreams that reflect our minds and hearts. But there is also confusion in the vagueness of Dreams, and it is easy to lose your way in the dark.
The Sun-Celestia
Again, duh. This card is for Joy and Celebration.Success overcoming any obstacle, just like the Invincible Sun Princess. But sometimes, the cloudcover can block the Sun’s rays, making it difficult to be optimistic. Making it difficult to see things right in front of you until it is too late.
Judgement-Sunset Shimmer
Judgement is for reflection, to evaluate your life and lead to your Rebirth. But you can also judge too harshly, letting yourself be lost in the details you don’t like instead of seeing the full picture. Sunset has definitely done the reflect and rebirth, but we only saw a little of the harsh judgement. She focused on the terrible things she did, letting it define her despite having good parts of her past(hey, she was Celestia’s Student for a reason!). While she has accepted her past and has been Reborn, there are moments where she focuses on the bad(her anger management issues in FG.)
The World-The Elements
Again, self explanatory. The World stands for Harmony and Completion. Unity and Perfection from inner and outer sources. And how empty everything is without them.
Minor Arcana:
I don’t think I’ll give as much Meaning to the Minor Arcana as I did the Major Arcana. Mostly because that’d be a pain to go through and match each one to one specific character. Like, matching the Death card or the Sun card is easy. But matching the four of Pentacles? Actually, that one could be Filthy Rich... ignore me. I’m not doing that for all the cards.
That said, the Suits are mostly organized. The Kings of each are one of the four princesses, and each suit itself is made up of a corresponding race of pony, or said pony’s ‘Court’(aka, important characters that don’t match but I put in that group) in the Crystal Pony case(Seriously, can we get more Crystal Pony characters that have legit names and personalities????).  The Ace is a non-pony(or not exactly a pony) that is associated with that Suit or Race. Some will get an extra ‘why I put them there’ note.
Wands-Unicorns
Wands represent creativity, passion, desire, and the Spark of beginnings. It’s element is Fire. Wands are perfect for the magic wielding Unicorns.
King- Twilight Sparkle
Twilight was born a Unicorn, and a part of her will always think of herself as one.
Queen-Sunset Shimmer
A Unicorn just as powerful as Twilight, but not the Princess.
Knight-Rarity
Page-Sweetie Belle
10-2-Starlight, Trixie, Moondancer, Lyra, Blueblood, Party Favor, Sugar Belle, Vinyl Scratch, Fancy Pants
Ace-Spike
Not only is Spike only associated with Unicorn characters(Twilight, Shining, Rarity, etc.), but he is a Fire element.
Pentacles- Earth Ponies
Pentacles relate to worldly things, are much more ‘passive’ than the Wands’ ‘active’ nature, and is associated with the Earth Element.
King- Celestia
Celestia is the most ‘grounded’ of the Princesses, but also the most ‘princess-like’.
Queen-Applejack
Knight-Pinkie Pie
Page-Applebloom
10-2-Big Mac, Maud, Marble, Limestone, Bonbon, Double Diamond, Cheerilee, Octavia, Nurse Redheart
Ace-Timber Spruce.
Another personal headcanon
Cups- Crystal Ponies
While they aren’t related to the Suit’s Element(Water), the suit is associated emotions, especially Love. Considering the Crystal ponies run on Emotions, it’s a good fit.
King- Cadence
Princess of the Empire
Queen- Shining Armor
Hey Jori! This one’s for you! Okay, really, while he’s not a Crystal Pony, he’s husband to the Princess
Knight- Sunburst
Headcanon-wise, I headcanon him as part Crystal Pony. But he is the Crystal Mage.
Page- Diamond Tiara
I headcanon her as part Crystal Pony and I love her too much to not include her.
10-2- Flurry Heart, Autumn, Mercury, Rose Quartz, Verity Lucky, Scarlet Heart, Amber Laurel, Fleur de Verre, Golden Harvest,
Honestly, there aren’t any Crystal Pony characters that aren’t background ponies. Seriously, how and why so you’ll have to go to the wiki to know them,
Ace- Thorax
Not a Crystal Pony, but his default disguise is one, and he lived with them for a while.
Swords- Pegasai
Pegasai match this suit’s Element(Air) more than its symbolism, as Swords are for reason and logic. Not to say they aren’t reasonable or logical, but it’s not something they’re known for.
King- Luna
Mostly by default, but she is the one seen flying most often(and also the one seen using magic most often but I digress). Also Air is a Moon Element.
Queen- Rainbow Dash
Knight-Fluttershy
Page-Scootaloo
10-2-Flash Sentry, Derpy, Daring Do, Spitfire, Soarin, Thunderlane, Night Glider, Lightning Dust, Alula
Ace- Gilda
Not a Pegasus but related by flight.

Bad Dream 02
Rarity was in the zone. No... 'zone' was way too much of an understatement... way too pedestrian. She was in her element, in her Queendom... Yes... That was the word. Rarity was in the Queendom of fashion and she was its supreme ruler.
The world around her bowed to her will and accepted her gracious gift.
"Dresses!" she screamed at the face of the universe.
"Jeans?" said a timid voice coming from behind her.
"How dare you?" she hissed.
She turned to face the offender. With a mere thought, she threw them on the ground.
"How dare you?" she repeated, putting her foot on her head in sign of victory. "You should know better! Why do I put up with you?"
The ruffian whimpered pathetically on the ground. Satisfied, Rarity leant toward them to identify the fashion criminal.
"Applejack?" she realised.
Rarity woke up, sweating and out of breath. She lifted her eye-patch, careful not to mess with her coiffure. The world of dresses was gone. In its place, was Canterlot's High craft room.
"What a dreadful dream..." she whispered in the dark.
She sent a worried glance at Applejack. To her relief, she was soundly asleep, safe and sound. Then the relief let place to a deep sense of guilt.
Rarity you are not an abusive girlfriend! she scolded herself mentally. Yet the discussion of the day before was still vivid in her memory... as well as the frightened look of a blond girl at the feet of a Queen.
Am I?
Applejack woke up at break of dawn, feeling fresh and rested. It had taken some time to get used to Rarity (really) soft mattress but she was starting to get used to it. The fact that she only ever used them when a certain fashionista was also in it might have helped.
Surprisingly, said Rarity was not in the bed at the moment.
"Rare?" Applejack called.
"One minute, darling," she answered.
Being already at the Canterlot High gave her time to be lazy in the bed for once so Applejack did exactly that and, true to her word, Rarity was there a few moments later, carrying a plate filled to the brim with breakfast food.
"Wow? Food in bed? I thought you didn't want to stain the bedclothes?"
"Don't worry about it, darling," she said with a dismissing wave. "One exception from time to time won't hurt."
"If you say so!" Applejack said, not willing to risk a change of heart.
Applejack ate with gusto, but carefully enough to make sure she wouldn't make a mess. Rarity seemed to be content with watching her eat.
"Say Rare," Applejack said as she swallowed the last bite of a croissant, "do you have any spare clothes? I don't really want to spend the whole day in the same clothes as yesterday."
Rarity's eyes lit up with excitement. Applejack blinked. In the interval, Rarity had had the time to pick up a pair of blue jeans from god knows where.
"Huh?"
"Do yo like it?" she asked excitedly.
So this is what woke her up... she went sewing, Applejack thought, amused. I should have known.
Still, this was new. This looked like a pair of blue jeans. Rarity wasn't fond of the jeans texture. "It lacks finesse" or something like that but this one looked like a true, 100% authentic blue jeans. With little to no decorations to boot. Applejack took it, curious, expecting a surprise of some sort. There were surprises. Six of them. Six, deep, functional, glorious pockets.
This was a simple tailor-made pair of blue jeans with six pockets.
"This... this is the most practical thing you've ever done...-" Applejack wiped a tear "-It's so beautiful... Wait, I forgot an important date didn't I?"
"No," Rarity chuckled, "I just got some inspiration and I wanted to surprise you. I get it that you like it?"
"Like it? I love it! It's amazing! You the best Rare."
The compliment made her smile, but in a corner of her mind, a doubt persisted.
A few days later
There was something wrong with Rarity.
Applejack could not deny it any longer. At first, the signs were easy to dismiss. The fashionista had been very sweet and affectionate for some reasons so Applejack didn't worry too much. But little by little she noticed how less and less talkative she was. Once again she did not worry that much. After all, every time Rarity got "on the verge of a breakthrough" she'd get lost in her world and become a bit hard to reach at times. But it usually lasted a couple of days at worse and, even then, she'd at least talk about it from time to time until she found "l'étincelle".
But not this time. In fact, it was as if Rarity didn't want to talk at all... even asking her opinion on simple matters had become difficult.
School had made it hard to properly discuss the issue so Applejack had chosen to wait for the weekend to address the pear tree in the orchard but when Twilight had told her Rarity had been missing her French classes she decided that it couldn't wait any longer and she knew she had made the right choice when she entered the craft room.
The place was a mess.
For a second Applejack wondered if someone had not come and sabotaged Rarity's work. She may not as good with this whole fashion sense as Rarity but the first word that came to her mind seeing Rarity's new line was "ugly". The clothes were a nightmare of pockets and unlikely materials mixed without cohesion. Even Sweetie Belle couldn't have done something /that/ bad.
In the middle of the sea of atrocious clothes was the fashionista, struggling with her work.
"Rare?" Applejack called, clearly worried.
Rarity jumped at the sound, not having realised that she was not alone anymore.
"Who? Applejack! What are you... No! Don't look!"
Several answers came to Applejack's mind but only one thing mattered to her at that moment.
"You okay babe?"
"No..." Rarity sighed. "This is a catastrophe..."
"Just minute." Applejack got next to the couch and pushed it effortlessly. It slid across the room, smoothly stopping its course behind Rarity. "You can go."
She let herself fall dramatically on the sofa.
"You wanna talk about it?" Applejack asked softly as she went next to her.
"Maybe..."
"Take your time."
"Applejack... be honest... am I an abusive girlfriend?"
"Is it about the other day? T'was just a dumb dream..."
"Answer me, Applejack." She asked, more insistently than she wanted. She quickly covered her mouth, realising she had used her authoritative voice again.  She slowly took them out to add an imploring "Please?"
Applejack sighed and sat on the sofa. She patted her laps and Rarity took it as a cue to put her head on them. They stayed there a moment, with Applejack playing in her hair.
"Before I answer, tell me what's bothering you."
Rarity stayed there a moment, the contact obviously calming her.
"I made a dream... The same as yours I think. There was this beautiful dress utopia I was building... and then I attacked you when you asked for a pair of pants! Oh, darling, it was dreadful..."
"Babe, I know I'm not in place to say that but... that was just a dream. You're not like that."
"If that was the case I should not scare you..."
"Scare me? What do you..." Her own words came back to her mind. "Oh."
Applejack took a deep breath. She was a fool not to have noticed sooner.
"Okay babe, listen. Yeah, I admit it's scary how you can make me do things with your words... but it's not that kind of feeling. It's more like when you face the oldest, biggest tree on the orchard and you know you're not that big. That's awe Sugarcube, not fear. Besides you only use it to give me free designer clothes, that I sure as heck love I have to add and make me open up a bit about my feelings. That's mighty for from abuse in my book. Would you ever use it to harm me?"
"No!" The very thought was repugnant to her.
"See?"
"I suppose..."
"Listen to me. Maybe in need a bit of time to get used to Queen Rarity, but you're still my Princess. I knew it when we started dating and I love you just the way you are."
Rarity laughed. "That was, 'corny as heck' as you would say."
"Oh shush!"
The second and last part is here! And I managed to write it before the end of the week @char-char-chan !
