With Sky I really love the idea that he sculpts animals and stuff and Cloud paints them. It’s just a small thing they do but it’s nice for them to chill and do nothing. Sometimes they go on dates at the lumpy pumpkin and fly together and yeah, cheesy couple stuff, they’re cute

Time doesn’t do much with Malon since they do a lot of farm work, but sometimes they like to play in the hay or jump fences, but with Malon being pregnant they don’t have a ton of options

Windy annoys Tetra, that’s it /j. No but Tetra doesn’t know how to have fun, sometimes she helps Windy find seashells and sometimes they just snuggle and chill but yeaaah…

Age and Mipha swim together a lot obvious dhdkdbdk. Sometimes they go… you know… skinny dipping but they’re engaged it’s fine. (Tho let’s be real here, it’s only Age who is revealed, mipha doesn’t wear actual clothes dhksbsksn)

Ta da! I made some art for the collaborative work, Crow’s Nest, we essentially wrote in a month, which is by far, my most diverse in content and longest fic. Thought it needed some like cool title art, since it’s basically the length of a book lol. (See below for symbolism and stuff)

- it’s kind of a combination of some main elements and themes from the fic: Steve (clearly the main character lol XD), tea, the broken teacups, Techno’s house… the stained floor

- the green tea cup represents Dream and well his broken state after prison, while the pink tinted glue represents Techno helping Dream heal and putting him back together.

- and obviously, a crow for the title and poem the chapters are named after.

- and despite my efforts, Tumblr has kinda ruined my quality, so here’s a zoomed in picture of the tea tag I made, which has the title of the fic and our names on it. :)

okay first of all i love the “written by stevienicks” but i also need to talk bradnate!!

REAL!! (also thank you!) I think it's something to do with that whole dynamic of the king and lionheart? It's a pretty compelling dynamic. like they're loyal to the core with one another but it's not so much spoken as it is shown.

They're both quite reserved about their true emotions, Nate's own reason for this being his job and Brad, I think, is also similar but also because it doesn't seem to be in his nature to really let himself be vulnerable with more 'mushy emotions'? (he's not very good at expressing directly what he really feels like when he was talking about his ex-girlfriend). He also tends to use sarcasm and such to communicate those feelings with the others (aside from Nate, which really plays into the trust between them).

Like, in that sense, they really get each other. The nature of their positions as leaders mean they have to hold back a lot and through the looks and gazes, it's like letting each other know that the other sees and understands on a deeper level. And like that speaks louder than words. They both see the human underneath and when they interact, it's the human underneath they're talking to and not the persona they each put up.

what season are you living in right now?

Most people have Seasonal depressive disorder in the winter when everything is cold and dark and dreary. Mine hits a lot more in the summer (sigh. its summer). There are some good things about it. I like not doing homework, but there's a lot of.... added relationship stresses that get strained during the summer that is sometimes very not fun. I tend to put myself in situations and then don't actually have the backbone to defend myself from situations or making it unnecessarily harder than it needs to be. That being said, I love seeing the irl bestie (would simply not come home if it weren't for her and be looking for more work up near school) and my littlest sister is amazing to say the least.

Favorite season? I have a feeling that will change soon as I finally "get adulted" and graduated and need to move out of house and home but right now i am so much a winter and fall (particularly fall) kind of person because I am not, have never been built for heat and get very much sick in it if I'm out for Too Long in It (like now *cries*).

If I could cahnge/takeaway I'd make summer less hot so I don't get as sick which would remove a lot of summer hatred ("But Birb you could just move to like someplace cold like alaska") But then there's snow all the time And Driving In the Snow is a nightmare and I don't want to do that either (nah, i just have very little practice because do not drive as much as I should because don't normally do much during the summer and during the school year I have no car so friends drive to places; It's just a practice will get over fear of snow driving). If I can't make summer max like 5-10 degrees colder, I'd like snow to be everywhere except the roads (lmao i wish we had snow repellent roads somehow).

(Im cheating and looking up flowers no one can stop me i am too nauseous to rememer things).

spring: crocuses are pretty and bleeding hearts are nostalgic but overall picks are peonies or lilys of the valley (grandma had a bunch of those in the garden).

Summer: asters!! And daisies!! and the black eye susans!! and the coneflower daises (i called them inside out daisies for awhile)

Fall: I think grandma's marigolds were fallish? that may be summer and I maybe entirely incorrect but they giveth fall aesthetic.

Winter: we had poinsettias around Christmas times (always in the greenhouse and the cats were never allowed in there) so those ones. The real ones were so much prettier than the plasticky ones but yk beggers can't be choosers.

ayyyyyyy I set up an appointment for medication this Friday (telemedicine but whatever) and I get to see my former therapist again later this month. I’m kind of excited. More than kind of. Little sad, but I’m lonely and want to talk to someone. He’s a real cool dude. I’m a little worried to trauma dump the last 6 months on him, but whatever, it beats sitting there for an hour feeling like I’m wasting his time and struggling to think of things to say. dang dang dang, I’m excited.

So you meet this guy. And they come off as like kind of stand offish, but the more you talk to them the more you realize they’re a pretty cool dude. Sure, they’re a bit quiet and really into sports, but overall you think “hey, this dude is pretty chill. I mean yeah they don’t say much but honestly they’re a cool dude.”

And then you meet the person they’re dating. And it’s the worst person you have ever met. They’re dating the most loudmouth, obnoxious person you have ever met. Seriously, you don’t even want to be stuck in a room with this person for five seconds, how on earth would anyone in their right mind want to date this person?

You talk to the first guy and go “Them??? Really??? Why the heck would you want to be with THEM???” But the first guy, though they don’t say much, has nothing but kind words to say about the horrendously obnoxious person they’re dating.

So you keep running into this couple, and every time you cannot comprehend why this cool dude would date the world’s most annoying person, but at least they seem to be happy or whatever.

Are there any songs that remind you of your OCs?

jhgjsdgfjd OKAY SO-- the short answer is Yes, lol. The longer answer is that I have full playlists for a bunch of them, so, at this point any song on any of their playists now reminds me of that character (including ship playlists, because I also have one of those each for elyss/june and juniper/fengling), although not all of them would be equally good examples of 'here's a song that makes me think of X' as far as like... show and tell is concerned? Elyss and Juniper's playlists for instance are both roughly chronological and a couple of their songs are specific to A Situation, and several of June's are about her relationship with another character (mostly our sorcerer; I've had a hard time picking just one or two fengling songs for june's regular playlist, so those are pretty much all just on the ship one exclusively, lol).

so i complain a lot about low build quality of modern durable goods, but i do think there's a lot of freedom in having durable goods that (while they meet or exceed a minimum level of functionality) you aren't tempted to Keep Nice.

i don't care if my cat sharpens her claws on the couch because it's an ikea couch i got for free off a friend who was moving away. i don't care if my car gets scratched because it's already dinged up and it doesn't make it any less drivable. i don't care if my desk chair upholstery gets stained; it was cheap and who gives a shit if my chair is grungy. in many cases i actively disprefer the Nice version of the thing (like, say, a fancy expensive car) because it's emotionally a lot harder to blow off incidental damage.

this is also a thing that's really nice about DIYing/thrift flipping furniture and shit: i don't care that much if i scratch up the finish on my desk because -- well, it's a desk. who cares if a desk is scratched?? but also, i built the damn thing, so i can just sand it and refinish it with the exact same varnish. i could reupholster the various cat-scratched furniture, if for some reason i wanted to do that. i CAN, in fact, Fix Him.

i grew up in a house with a bunch of Nice Furniture, including (most frustratingly) antiques where you absolutely could not leave anything wet on them ever. a couple times, in the course of lighting birthday candles, the kitchen table accidentally got match-scorched, and my mom STILL tisks over those burn marks every time she remembers they exist. and i have to say, constantly Being Careful of the Furniture did and still does drive me up the wall. it's exhausting. like -- you don't have to spend mental energy on that!! you can refinish the dang table! you can, idk, lasercut some clear acrylic sheets to put on top of the antique dresser set! you can also decide to just not care about your stuff displaying the ordinary signs of wear and tear from being lived with, instead of trying to make a home a furniture showplace. every time i look at the scorch marks on my parents' kitchen table, i remember eating birthday cake.
