WENDY COULD BE CLUMSY. it never happened when it was important, for example during a fight or anything like that. but it always happened when she wasn't playing attention to her surroundings. normally she is alone and even though it hurt and it was awkward for her, no one was there to witness it. but this time was different, she tripped over a rock on thier way back from a mission well done. with her normal but quiet complaint of pain, she looks up a tanjiro, who came to her resue yet again.

one look at his gentle features, caused wendy's face to turn a bright red. she quickly stood up, her eyes looking at the ground in a poor attempt to hide her flushed cheeks. she looked up at him, noticing his similar redden features. confused, she was the one put in an embarassing situation, he must think less of her now.

❝ i'm ok. . . thank you for helping me up, but i'm fine, embarassingly i do this pretty often on small rocks and sticks. kinda dumb huh ? ❞ she looked away, thinking she was flustered because of embarassment. because what else could it be ?

EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE THE SAME AGE. wendy has slightly more experience than the other. but he had something she did not, she never witnessed a upper demon before. it was amazing, so she already knew his name before they even met.

when she was told by her crow that they were teaming up, she was excited ! she wanted to learn from him and become even stronger. but also because she heard about how kind he is. which is rare to see, especially after meeting inosuke.

❝ it is nice to meet you kamado-kun, my name is wendy marvell, but please call me wendy. ❞ her cheeks where slightly pink. after all she wasn't expecting him to bow at her. she wasn't anything special. ❝ hopefully this mission goes without a problem ! ❞ the reason why she is known for is because so far she hasn't been harmed by a demon. demons tend to underestimate her a lot.

❝ well the demon is in a town a little bit a ways away, so lets get moving ! we should be able to get there before sundown. ❞ she wanted to make sure that no more lives were harmed at the hands of the demons.

He had heard name her in PASSING perhaps once or twice ( ? ) But alas his memory fails him & her name slips his mind. . .

However her unique WIND BREATHING technique did NOT , it was rather the HOT TOPIC , whispers often filled the halls at HQ burning all who would listen ears.

WENDY NORMALLY NEVER GET'S PANIC ATTACKS. keeping a cool and level head is the only way to control your breathing and when in battle your breathing style is the most important asset you bring to a battle. wendy and tanjiro had worked together for a little bit, and everything has been fine until this one mission the two of them worked.

the first stage of a lot of these type of missions is to gather intel, figure out where the demon is hiding. this demon attacked again tonight and tanjiro and wendy went to investigate the scene. but when they opened the door, wendy began to panic. this scene looked to much like the scene of her home. but not the home that grandine passed away, like her first home.

grandine told her that she killed the demon who killed her family, but in that moment, her gut knew that she was wrong, there was even a baby in there crying. tanjiro moved in quickly to take the baby out to safety, handing them over to an adult and noticed wendy. her hand covered her mouth, frozen in place, unable to breathe. she felt his rough, yet gentle hands remove her hands from her face.

her eyes then landed on tanjiro, she began to hyperventilate, even though he was confused he wasted no time trying to calm down the other. his soft spoken words finally began to process in wendy's mind, knowing that tanjiro was TRYING TO HELP CALM HER DOWN. she followed his command, she began shakingly taking deep long breaths.

after a few more tries she was able to regain control, in which she quickly bowed her head in response. ❝ t-thank you so much tanjiro. i don't know what came over me. ❞ even though grandine lied to her about the demons, she had a goal to kill them. they weren't going to take another family away from a baby. not again.

THEY   WORKED   AT   NIGHT.   demons were active at night.   wendy didn't think that there was anyone in the demon slayer corps who had a normal sleeping schedule.   of course they try and sleep during the day while the demons were forced into hiding,   but sometimes there were things that needed to be done during the day.   which is why it wasn't that hard for her to believe that is has been almost 28 hours since wendy went to sleep last.   of course she was exhausted,   but her crow just told her to meet up with tanjiro for another quest and the mission comes first in her eyes.   

so she walkd to the meet up point,   where she can see a well rested tanjiro.   she was glad,   but she knew that she couldn't make it obvious to him that she in fact did not get the same amount of rest that he did.   ❝   good evening tanjir-   ❞   and of course her body didn't care about what she thought and yawned before she could finish her first sentence,   giving herself away that she was in fact tired.   them what occured as a quick back in forth about when the last time she slept and her not knowing the answer and stating she was fine when he told her she in fact should get some rest. when he stated   "   i'll carry you to bed if I have to.   "

even tired,   this caused wendy to blush.   she knew tanjiro was strong enough to lift her,   she has seem his training.   but she didn't think he realized what that means.   ❝   tanjiro-san i'm fine seriously,   there is no reason you should carry me to bed.   i'll go to sleep once she complete this mission.   ❞   she was talking quicker now,   her flusteredness waking her fully up now.   she doesn't even think she could sleep now if she wanted to.   though she kinda wanted him to pick her up now,   she wanted to his in his strong arms.
