Leaving after such a humiliating experience would probably be for the best. His involvement with Diavolo was meant to stay private, but now the entire house knew what was happening. For his entire first year, he was made a willing slave to the King of Hell. He wished he never consented to all the disgusting things he did, drunk on pleasure. It was all coming back to bite him.

Normally he would have been fine with this, standing up tall with a big smirk on his face. "Yes, I fucked the King of Hell, and he liked it!" He imagined.

But when family is involved, it becomes a whole other story. The look of disgust on Satan and Jinx's faces were clear as day. When he looked over to Mammon, he wore an expression that even Jin couldn't process at the time. Even now, he had no clue what was going on in Mammon's head.

Whenever Mammon was nice to him, it was always to get advice on how to win over Jinx before. How to make Jinx happy. How to make Jinx love him. It was always about his sister. But what would he gain out of being nice to him now that she's started dating Beelzebub?

His mind was too scrambled to think about it now. With so much happening in mere seconds, he couldn't process anything. Dots weren't connecting, and it was driving him mad the longer he thought about it. So he made up his mind.

He turned the knob on his door and quietly peeked his head out. With his wings folded onto his back, he was hyper aware of each step he took, and how much space he devoured in his form. Quiet steps so no one could hear, with practiced ease he made it to the door, opening it wide. Rain. The violent pitter patter of fat raindrops hitting the porch and pavement made him hyper aware. Of all the nights...

He shut the door, losing interest for a split second. When he turned to go back up the stairs, he stopped when he found a head of white hair standing at the top step.

"I knew ya would." Came the cold accusation. "Jin... why ya' leavin'?"

Jin forced himself into a monotone voice, stony and uninterested. "This isn't anything new. I just need some space. I need time to think, alright? A lot has happened in the last few weeks and I just need to clear my head."

"I know that ain't all yer tellin' me. Shit's been crazy, but when has it not been? Back when we were all cheering yer little sister on at her winter sports games, you were out killin' people... And even before then, you were caught up in depressive episodes left an' right and never told nobody. What makes now different?"

Jin chewed his lip, nodding his head slowly. He was right. Things have been hectic ever since he was 15. He still hears their screams every night, but he can force himself to be unbothered. Why now?

"I can't sleep..." he admits. "I can barely eat, I don't know how to handle this stuff. It's different when it was with Asmo. My dirty secrets weren't out in the open."

"Yeah, but Asmo respected you, didn't he?" He places a hand gently on the stairs railing as he makes his way down slowly. He's seen a thousand times how gentle Lucifer treats him, like he's glass. "Diavolo ain't never respected you. Why do it...?"

Jin lifted a hand. "No," he said, growing irritable. "No, I don't have to explain this. I'm a grown man, I don't have to explain myself to anyone. I'm leaving, and that's that. I'll be back when I want to."

When he got like this, Mammon usually would back down and cower in fear of angering his best friend. But now was different. He couldn't just keep running away from his problems, he learned how that would end. "You could leave... but then what? You worry us all that something else happens?"

"Well you'll know where I am, won't you?"

"Yeah but they'll still be just as worried that yer gonna do something stupid! Listen," and Mammon leans in, his hands raised to his chest. He's clearly shaking from anxiousness, wanting to hug him tight. "There's enough here between us that you should feel obligated to talk to me, so we can iron this out now! If you think I'm upset with you or disgusted or anything, well I'm not dammit!"

"There is nothing to talk about, Mams."

"Prove it," Mammon declares. He grabs Jin by his collar with both hands, desperation in his voice. It almost breaks Jin's heart, but he seizes up out of anxiety instead. Too close. Far too close. "Stay..."

It takes him a moment. Mammon may not be disgusted with him, but there are a more people living here than just him. There are too many people who care about his image, and now have it soiled because of that embarrassment. With clammy fingers, he wraps them around Mammon's wrists gently and pulls them away. The shock of fear that raised from Mammon's face felt like being hit by a truck for Jin. The moment of defeat in his eyes made a tear well up in his eyes.

"No..." came the watery begging. "Don't go. Don't leave me here, please stay..." Jin only shook his head. He couldn't stay. His pride was once again hurting the ones he loved, but he couldn't help himself. He couldn't be here to smile and pretend everything was okay. He couldn't sit around while they gossiped behind his back. Without full context to why he did it, to why he let Diavolo do what he wanted. Without knowing that this was his punishment for letting anything happen to his sister.

"I can't stay... I can't. But I-I promise, I will come home, okay? I can't stay away forever..." He let go of Mammon's hands and stepped back towards the door again. The last of home he saw was Mammon crying and begging him not to leave. Mammon, telling him he loved him and that he can't do this to him. Mammon reminding him of Jinx and what would she do without him? What would Asmo do? Beel, or Lucifer? The family needed him, and he was leaving them for this. What about him?

How do they show their love?

Jin- By saying it. Whether it be romantic or not, he says how he feels. The sheer confidence and determination to have you in his life alone should be enough for you to know that he wouldn’t go anywhere without you.

Jinx- By staying by your side. She isn’t very good with her words, and for that reason tries to do acts of kindness to show her affections. This makes her a great gift giver.

What’s something they need to improve on?

Jin- His inability to let people in and trust them with himself. For years he has shut people out emotionally so he can focus on the world outwards, and being so selfless and not taking the time to care for himself has caused him to spiral and become angry at the world he used to love so much. All because of the weight of responsibility.

Jinx- Her mental fortitude. She is someone who struggles immensely in the mental field. She either thinks too quickly and can’t physically keep up with it, or thinks too slow and falls too far behind. She has methods for fixing this, but seldom uses them because of executive dysfunction.

What would make them fall in love?

Jin- Despite it all, what would make Jin love you is the unwavering love for him, instead of those he cares about. He wouldn’t give you the time of day if you didn’t care about those in his life, but to love him and help him in a place where he struggles so much would make him feel like he truly is important to you.

Jinx- A tough question since she doesn’t know herself. It would probably be showing an extensive amount of care regarding her issues, and being patient to her. Showing that you have put in the work to adjust to her would make her feel like she matters, and would want you in her life. She doesn’t seek relationships unless they fall in her lap like that.

What would make them fall out of love?

Jin- Betrayal. Jin hates the idea of letting people go, and nothing hurts more than betrayal.

Jinx- Nothing. Sometimes things happen in her mind that just… lets her decide that time is up. Realistically, she’s afraid of relationships, and is incapable of staying in one long term anyway. The true miracle is her staying with you for a long time.
