"I just wasn't thinking straight." Daisy defended herself as she glanced over to her girlfriend. "Anyway, it's find. They only conned me out of like twenty bucks, worse things have happened." she assured Bryony reaching over to take her hand. "You don't have to worry about me so much, you know." Daisy had a tendency to keep her head in the clouds, and though she knew it stressed the other out, she hadn't yet been successful at snapping out of it.
"Forgive me and I'll never do it again?"

Daisy pushed some of her braids behind her ears as she made sure she gathered all that she could from the room, stuffing a small backpack before she slipped it on. "Sounds like a plan. I think there's some canned fruit and vegetables in there." she said, tightening the blanket around her shoulders after her set it on. "Thank you." she hummed, nuzzling against his side as they stepped outside. She let his words repeat in his mind. We're going to be fine.
She led him to the cabin close by, moving quickly before letting them both in. "I can hold a little bit more in this bag, there might be another one here." she murmured, turning on a flashlight to see what was within. "We don't want to pack too much it'll look premeditated." she added as an afterthought as she looked around.
Leon slothfully slipped back into his ragged, blood-soaked clothes, his eyes watching her every movement. He enjoyed the way her dainty fingers lingered along her flesh as she shifted fabric into its rightful place. The way her braids fell before her flawless features, her warm hues peering through the curtains it created. No one should be allowed to be so tempting. Silver cladded digits lifted to run through his messy curls, brushing the chocolate coils out of his face as he nodded. "We're going to be fine." He assured her, knowing damn well no matter what happened, her safety was his only priority.
A crooked smile played on paled lips, taking hold of her extended hand as he rose from his spot on the ground. With a swift movement, his free hand snatched at a tattered blanket that hung on one of the bunks by the exit. "Let's head to cabin four for a few supplies, then it's off into the night." He urged, tossing the shroud over her shoulders as they stepped out into the murky moonlit air.

"I don't know what you're hiding, and you don't have to share if you don't want to." Daisy said, studying the taller man as she settled in to sit on his knee. "But I know you're smart enough to know that hydrogen peroxide only removes blood in natural light, not under blacklight. You were rushing to clean this." She rambled as she held one of his button ups in her hands. her dark eyes studying his face. She didn't bother to explain why she had been using a black light. "You must have nicked yourself pretty bad..." Daisy offered him an out, not wanting to corner him. @endlessfebrvary

Daisy wanted to cry. She could feel her eyes tearing, but did her best to blink them away. "Right." she finally said, forcing a smile onto her lips. She didn't want to give him the satisfaction of her crying. "Whenever you get over this weird broody thing, and realize how stupid you're being, let me know." she said, before turning on her heels to walk away. Rejection had never been easy for Daisy, but especially not when she wanted someone as badly as Adrian.
After taking a few steps she turned back, growing more upset. "I just can't believe you, really. Grow a pair. Go after what you want." she nagged him with a frown.
it was stunning, how daisy could just say these things, just throw them out there without fear of rejection or repercussion. did she not think of all the people who could witness this, of the things that could happen if it went wrong between them? adrian languished the loss of her contact as she rightfully pulled back. there was a sadness in his dark eyes as he stared back at her. "of course i want you." letting the words out felt like a weight off his shoulders, but it only left room for more doubt to seep in. "daisy, it's pitiful how much i do. how much i think about you, how much this is going to consume me, but..."
that 'but' was heavy, it hung between them, making the distance feel larger than it really was. adrian hated this, he resented that she could probably tell what he was going to say, the excuses he'd likely use. "i can't." there was an opportunity to take what he wanted here, but he wouldn't do it. he couldn't do it, not to her. "you should go back to the party."

Daisy watched Leon as he got her a plate. She was slightly flustered, part of her wondering if anyone else was looking at them. She supposed that was self centered of her though. They were all obviously busy mourning the friends they had lost. She was sure she would have felt more broken up too, if she hadn't been so focused on the male. She easily nudged him back before taking the plate.
"You need to eat too," she whispered softly, searching his face before she held up part of the sausage to his mouth. After, she decided to take a few bites for herself as she rested her head back against his shoulder. "I just don't want to be too far from you. Is that okay?" she asked, tilting her head up again. "I know it's an awful time to be clingy but....I don't know Lee...it could be anyone. You're the only one I trust. You were with me the whole time." she whispered quietly, her eyes briefly flickering back to Jake.
"I can help you guys with the cars. I know a thing or two. I've watched Grease like thirty times." she said, as if that clearly meant she knew stuff about cars. She was sorely mistaken, but hopefully he'd find it endearing enough.
"Slim Jims. What kind of man do you take me for." A false look of offense is activated but swiftly replaced with a smirk. "Ah, every girl's dream, aye? I'll have to keep that in mind." He teased, though it didn't matter if the world craved such a thing, as long as Daisy enjoyed it, that's all that mattered to him.
Their fellow staff members were paired up, blotchy-faced, and steeped in fear. It was an oddly exhilarating sight, but Leon did his best to remain inconspicuous. The last thing he needed was to appear unsympathetic or unfazed by the horrendous happenings that plagued them.
There was a dense, uncomfortable air that suddenly surrounded the fire pit. Leon wasn't quite certain what triggered it, but it was heavy and left him curious as to what he might be missing. Was Jake still worked up over their plans shifting? Was Daisy uneasy from all that had transpired the night before? Perhaps it was a bit of both, but he'd focus on clearing the atmosphere as much as possible. "Yeah, we tried to only cook enough to feed everyone, but not stuff them." Chuckling, he welcomes Daisy's proximity with a gentle nudge of approval. Passing her a small plate with eggs and sausage, the male reaches behind her back to grab a water bottle from a cooler filled with near to no ice. "Eat up. Afterward, we'll head to your cabin to collect your things and look for supplies." Anything to make her feel more comfortable. "Jake and I need to find some tools. See if we can't get one of those hunks of metal working." A waste of time, but a facade for all the others to witness.

Daisy leaned into his hand, pressing gentle kisses against his palm before she nodded. "I trust you." she said, fully meaning it. Yet, even if nothing went to plan she would be happy knowing she had been at his side. "We'll be okay. We'll just stick together. Come up with an idea of what we'll say if they seperate us." she said, squeezing his hand gently before she finally pushed herself up from the floor.
She spent a few moments adjusting her outfit, feeling flushed now that the adrenaline had started to wear off. She could feel the ache growing in her nose, but she ignored it for now. "C'mon handsome...you and I need to get started with the rest of our lives okay?" she whispered, offering a hand to him as she back towards the door, happy to see there wasn't too much evidence left. It simply looked like a fight that went wrong, and that was what they'd go with. Better to keep some truth than none.
This was bliss. Heaven on the hell that was earth. Limbs tangled with an angel and minute after minute of euphoric ecstasy. Even as the sour taste of crimson coated their heated kisses and blanketed their flesh, they melted into one another drowning out the scent of decay. After what felt like not nearly long enough, reality decided to intervene. "I know." Leon groans, clearly dissatisfied with the situation. "Unfortunately, we need to keep these clothes on. I've got a stash of food, you should eat before we head out… I don't know when the next time we'll actually have a decent meal."
They needed to look believable. They needed to have appeared to have taken off from the camp after the attack with Jake; Beaten, bruised, and starved. "Just remember, whatever happens-" Turning, he lifts a crudely covered hand to cup her cheek. "I'm going to protect you." Despite her saving him, he'd do anything to safeguard her.

It felt as though hours had passed, Daisy trying to catch her breath as she curled up to Leon. The stench of death was starting to fill the room, and she knew that if they actually wanted to get away with this they'd need to get out sooner rather than later. Slowly she untangled herself from his grasp, sitting up and pulling her ripped shirt back on. "We need to get walking." she murmured sweetly, reaching down to push some of his curls back from his face.
"We can practice what we're going to say as we go, sound like a plan?" she asked pecking at his nose and cheeks as she tried to encourage him to get ready as well.
There's no concealing the wicked grin that morphs his lips, ravenous kisses being awarded between words. "Fuck, I've had my fair share of fantasies." Taking her under the glow of the moon, with the brush of lake water on their legs. Or hidden behind one of the cabins, splintered timber reddening the length of her back as he took his fill. "But this? You like this?" Pausing, he pulls back just enough to allow lust-fueled hues to drink in. "Is perfect." Rough hands move in a flurry to remove his blood-soaked clothes, discarding them with speed so that his palms can return to her frame. Fingers investigate every inch of her velvety flesh, mouth mapping frenzied kisses along her neck and collarbones. Teeth nip at the skin, leaving tiny marks of possession in their wake. "Mine." He repeats, more so to himself than her, hips jerking with voracious anticipation.

Daisy nodded quickly. "I'm sure." she assured him. Maybe she shouldn't have been so certain, but there was no use in holding back now. She kissed him again harshly before she pulled away, tugging what was left of her ripped shirt over her head. She had been waiting to actually sleep with Leon, had been enjoying teasing him once or twice, but there was no time like the present.
"I'm sorry it has to be quick. I've had a lot of dreams of the two of us in fields, or by the water." she whispered with a soft laugh. She leaned onto her knees to start pushing down her shorts next, taking a quick break to start kissing his lips again, feeling a slight nervousness come over her.
She was completely off her rocker. Leon wasn't sure if he'd pushed her to that point or if there was always a part of Daisy that was always hanging on by a thread, but she'd thoroughly lost it, and he fucking loved it. "I mean it when I say as long as you're with me, nothing will ever hurt you." Sure, he might have to take his wickedness out on unsuspecting victims, but she'd never be harmed. Nothing other than the stunning blood-splattered girl in his lap mattered.
A hunger grew in the base of his gut as their frames melted together, a yearning heat of desire burning his flesh. "Forever." He repeated the word as a silent oath; a pledge to remain unbroken by time. Lips devour her, nipping and sucking at her own before moving to taste the skin lining the length of her neck. "Are you sure?" He breathes roughly, though his greedy palms explode her body, fingers tugging at the fabric that separated them.

She nodded at his question. “I’m sure.” she whispered. She was sure that others would have believed she had a great life, or plenty to live for. In truth she wasn’t sure she had even started to live until she was reunited with Leon. Something had snapped, and she wasn’t sure she ever wanted to return to normalcy, certainly not when she could have him instead.
She sighed against his lips as he spoke, fingers tugging gently at his tresses. “I’m yours.” she purred in response, her hips grinding down to meet his. “We’ll protect each other, okay? Forever.” she practically panted, before kissing him harsher, her lips already beginning to ache from the impact. “Make me yours.” she huffed against his skin, wondering if she was going too far, if she was going to scare him.
"Dais…" Words ricocheted around his mind, yet none seemed to reach his lips. It was impossible to think when she gazed at him with such an intoxicating stare. "Are you sure…?" Because there was nowhere else on the face of the planet he'd rather be. Daisy was it for him. She was his Eden and hell. She was the driving force beyond the madness that drove him to murder.
Arms band tightly about her waist, his mouth greedy and fierce with each kiss. "I need you to know-" He groans lightly in frustration. Outrage at himself for dragging her into his chaos. "-I'll do everything in my power to protect you." Ravenous palms glide up along her back, pressing her frame into his. "You're mine."

a gasp escaped daisy as he wrapped his arms around her waist. she happily returned the second kiss with just as much fervor, lanky arms rushing to wrap around his neck, to pull him closer. she had waited so long, had thought about what his lips would feel like, how he'd hold her. it took her a moment to process when he finally pulled away, her lips chasing his until she realized.
her wide brown eyes slowly blinked back open, meeting his as he spoke. "you should have done that. i wanted that. i want you." she reminded him. she leaned in to steal a softer peck before she pulled away completely, tucking some of her hair behind her ear. "do you want me back or not, adrian? please...whatever you do just don't string me along."
there were so many reasons he should have been firmer in his apparent rejection. adrian knew this was a bad idea for so many reasons, not just for her age and his baggage. for their positions at their jobs, for the things people would likely say. it'd roll off of him, but for her it'd make everything harder. still, he was frozen, staring down at her big brown eyes while completely entranced. she was so beautiful, saying his name, urging him to give them a chance. he remained still, didn't stop her when she leaned up to kiss him. selfishly he knew he wasn't going to stop her from the moment she leaned up.
a switch flipped in him and his hand found her waist, encircling it to draw her in. adrian couldn't fight his better sense for the life of him and he drew her near once again for a second kiss, something rumbling to life in him, maybe his heart beginning to beat again. he kissed her till he was breathless, forgetting everything until it all came rushing back with his forehead pressed against hers. he exhaled, shuddering for a moment. "i... should not have done that."

Daisy's eyes searched his, starting to nod. "I know what could happen to me." she agreed. "But we've already come this far together, haven't we?" she murmured, leaning forward to press a warm kiss to his lips to try and soothe him. Yet she quickly began trying to comfort herself, deepening the kiss as her hands moved to his hair, toying with the curls.
"I don't want to be apart from you Leon." she murmured against his lips as she carefully slipped onto the floor to climb into his lap. "Do you really think we have a chance? That we can swing it? I think we can." she rambled between her increasingly messy pecks.
Leon couldn't break his stare, fearful that with each passing second she'd suddenly splinter. Her ease and lack of concern were slightly troubling. Was this normal? Should he be concerned? The entire ordeal was almost comical. Here he was, the deaths of half the camp bloody on his hands, and he was worried that his girlfriend might be unhinged.
A throaty laugh rings loudly in the company of Jake's mute corpse. "I'm sorry." But the smile remains permanent on his face. "I shouldn't laugh, but it's pretty fucking funny that we're talking about this." A piss-poor plan of escape after his brutal attacks and her saving blows that left her coined a killer. "You understand what could happen if you come with me… right?" Abruptly, his tone darkens but the simper is unmoved, almost creepily in place.
"If we're going to do this-" Escape into the wilderness to create some fantastical tale of survival. "-I need to know you understand the possible consequences…"

"adrian..." she repeated his name right back to him, as she held his gaze, challenging him to deny what they had. she let him take his time stumbling through what he was trying to say. her head tilted softly, her cheek pressing back against his hand. "i don't want just anyone in the world, anyway. i want you. why not at least try?" she continued. she searched his eyes for a moment, before giving in.
she leaned onto her toes, pressing a slow kiss to adrian's lips, not even bothering to make sure they were alone first. she didn't hear any other voices, so she was confident enough. daisy's hand moved to rest on top of his as she pulled back. she wondered if he was finally going to give into his feelings or if he was going to try to deny her yet again.
it wasn't something adrian could feasibly deny. daisy did know him, she saw right through him in a way that was ultimately terrifying, but he'd just come to realise that only now in this moment. as much as he wanted to argue back, for a moment he couldn't think of any way to convince her of how wrong she was. wrong about him, wrong about wanting this. he exhaled slowly, endeared despite the fact that he shouldn't be because there was just something about her that drew him in. there was no escaping it. "daisy..."
"if you know me as well as you think, you already know... you know how i..." he blew air from his lips, struggling with the words. "you're young and beautiful and intelligent, you could have anyone in the world you want." adrian said softly, allowing himself to reach out and cup her cheek, only because he intended to deny himself anything more. "it isn't a good idea."

Daisy watched as his eyes moved lower, resting for a moment on her chest. She let out a soft chuckle as she reached up to cup his chin and raise his face until their eyes met again. She offered him a little wink before settling back and finally using the tee-shirt to clean her nose up once she was pretty sure she was done bleeding.
"You think that will work? Blaming him?" she asked, staring at his head. "I mean I'm worried that that looks too intentional? How do we explain how we survived?" she questioned, before scrunching her nose as she realized she was thinking a little too clearly about this. Why wasn't the guilt setting in? Why didn't she feel disgusted? Why wasn't she running?
"If we're going to do it we need to start hiking or trying to get out so it looks like we ran for help after beating him.
She definitely had to be riddled by shock, right? There was no way in hell that her reaction was normal. Daisy should be screaming at the top of her lungs and running for the damn hills, not commenting on holding this against him in jest. It was utterly mind-boggling. "That's fair. I mean, after everything, I'd say I'm pretty indebted to you." His signature crooked smile tugs at the corner of his mouth, hand lowering just enough to check the flow of her nosebleed. "It's slowing, should be done soon." He murmured before shaking his head, gaze falling to study a particularly stunning splatter of crimson on her chest. "I'm going to be honest with you, Dais… I have no fucking idea." Originally, he and Jake had intended to be the wounded survivors of a brutal massacre at the camp. They'd worked through a plot to injure one another just enough to make their gruesome tale believable. But now there was evidence that would contradict what they'd devised… Unless…
Turning, he gawks at the limb frame of his best friend, slowly rising to his feet. "We fucking pin it on Jake."

Daisy let out a sigh as Leon continued speaking. "Thank God." she whispered softly, letting her eyes fall shut as he pulled chunks from her hair. "Trust me. I'll remember it. I'll remind you of it every time you annoy me from now on." she managed to joke. This shouldn't have been normal. She again, tried to remind herself that she should be running for her life, and yet here she was, curling in closer to Leon.
"What do we do now? I mean basically everyone is gone....how the hell are you going to get away with this?" Daisy asked with a tilt of her head as her hand finally fell from his hair down to his shoulders. "At some point they're going to find this, I mean the children are supposed to come soon, no?" she murmured, though maybe now wasn't the time to start hatching a master plan.
Gently, she tried to pull him in closer, though she wasn't saying it, she was feeling the overwhelming urge to be held. Perhaps some of the fear was starting to creep in, and yet, the only person she wanted to protect her through it was Leon.
"I feel like shit." He acknowledges with a ghost of a smile toying at his busted lips. It was bizarre grinning when he'd been caught red-handed, figuratively and literally. Would she come back to her senses at any minute? Once the adrenaline seeped from her veins and the high dripped into fruition would she be disgusted with him? By him? "Never!" He spits the word as though it left a vile taste coating his tongue. "I won't lie, I'd hoped you wouldn't come." But not for the reasons she was pondering. "I didn't want you to be a part of this." The turmoil. The carnage. The atrocity. He cared for her far more than his desire to eradicate. "But when you showed up it was too late to turn back." Things had been set in motion and Jake really would have gone after her if everything had changed. "Believe it or not, keeping you safe was always the goal."
"A little what?" He questions before twisting to track her gaze. "Ah, yeah…" He'd nearly forgotten that she wasn't accustomed to slaying as he was. It was a violent, chaotic endeavor. "You still look as fucking ravishing as ever." Was it odd to be complementing her as he lifted a free hand to pull chunks of matter from her hair? "I'm okay because of you. Remember that, Dais."

"oh come on don't give me that bullshit." daisy replied, voice still gentle as she quickly looked back up to him. "i know you adrian. very well, i think. more than you might realize." she offered a little shrug. "you're not nearly as miserable as you like to make people think you are." her eyes searched his, before offering a soft smile.
"i don't know what i'm offering. i like you. i...i dunno." she shook her head, feeling flustered by how immature she sounded. "i'd say we should go on a date but that seems stupid at this point, no?" she tilted her head and laughed softly at herself. "maybe that's my flaw for you to worry about. i'm indecisive. the only thing i know is that i want you."
there was something so light and airy in her tone, an ease that adrian struggled to possess opposite her, a smile on his face despite the subdued expression, his hesitation evident. he swallowed, head canting to the side as a knowing look took over his features slowly. "is all of the above an option? 'cause you can circle that bubble for me." he responded, though he made no real move to create space between them. not yet.
his gaze dropped, the flattery of her words weakening him immensely despite his attempt to hide it. "what... exactly are you offering?" he said, as if he was naïve enough to really not know what she was getting at. "i'm a divorced, overworked asshole. you could do much better."

"I'll be fine, I've dealt with worse...you look like shit though." Daisy was easy to reply as her eyes met his. She tried to read him, to see if he was disgusted by what she had done. She was slightly disgusted with herself, but he reflected nothing but admiration and interest, she thought. Odd. "Don't be sorry. We protect each other." she insisted as she settled in. She couldn't resist the smile that crossed her lips as he kneeled before her, holding the shirt to her nose.
Her hand reached out, instinctively twirling his long strands of hair around her fingers. "Were you going to kill me before I confessed how I was feeling?" she asked with a tilt of her head. Her adrenaline was still running too high for her to really notice how much her face was beginning to ache. "Or did you decide before you came that if I showed up you wouldn't hurt me? Be honest, I'm not judging just curious." she rambled, her brain struggling to truly process everything that was happening now.
"I know I did what I had to...and that I saved you, but I dunno! It was a little..." she rambled, glancing back again to Jake. "It was violent! I have your friend's brains in my braids I figured it'd be rude not to ask if you're mad." she said, meeting Leon's eyes again. "I'm just glad you're okay."
“Are you sure? You don’t look fine.” Fury flickered in his glistening eyes as he peered at the devastation of crimson Jake had left in his wake. Leon should have been the one to safeguard her, instead, she’d salvaged him from his crazed best friend. Their lips meet in a chaotic mix of blood, passion, and apprehension and the affection leaves him perplexed. Was she in shock? Did she have any idea who she was kissing and what he’d done? Had the massacre of the last few nights and the violent battle left her drained and uncertain of reality? “Thank you… thank you, Daisy.” His hand lifts to take the shirt from her grasp, gently holding it against her battered nose for her. “I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you..” From the one person, he was supposed to be able to trust.
Watching her with caution, the filthy male inches forward, falling to kneel between her legs on the floor, his hand still nursing her wound. “Yeah… I mean, no.” A groan rattles in his chest, his head shaking. “I would never harm you! I told you that from the beginning.” And he’d meant it. From the moment she’d stepped foot on the campgrounds he’d made it clear that she was off limits. “You were never supposed to be a part of this…” But now she knew his despicable secret.
Blinking in bewilderment, Leon gradually turns to glance over his shoulder at his best friend-turned-betrayer. “…you’re kidding, right?” His attention fell back to her. “You heard all of that… and you’re worried I’ll be upset with you?” A cold laugh escapes. “Did you hit your head?” Now wasn’t the time for teasing, but then again, neither of them had a manual on how to handle such a twisted situation. “You saved me, Daisy. That sick fuck was going to kill me and I have no doubt in my mind that he was going to go after you next. You did what you had to.”
