i genuinely feel like Felix would feel so awesome if he had glowing skin marks. like it would fit his "super badass evil jerk" vibe and he would be totally into that.

Cuddling Headcanons - Ganyu & Ningguang

CW: Written with Male!Reader in mind, but can be read as GN!Reader.

Ganyu is a very emotional girl. She gets flustered easily, it's not that hard to make her laugh, she bursts into tears a plenty. It's only natural that she enjoys something as positive-emotion-inducing as cuddling. It never fails to resonate with her very soul. 

After a long and boring day at work, Ganyu just wants to eat something, shower and retire in bed with your arms around her. 

She is the more gentle and submissive here, and so she finds cuddling positions that indicate that feel more natural than others. 

Spooning is her go-to, no doubt. The feeling of your larger frame, oh so pleasantly warm over hers, with your hands on her middle part makes Ganyu feel so extremely loved and safe she is out like a light.

Another one of her favorites is the embrace. She loves to nuzzle her face into your chest, or the crook of your neck. Surprisingly, Ganyu has no problems with sleeping like that. Perhaps it's her goat Qiling part, able to be comfortable in the least likely spots? 

You'll find her body a little cooler than yours due to her Cryo abilities. Due to this, she likes to get as warm as possible with the help of you and the covers. 

Please, caress her horns while you have her. Rub them slowly, up and down, and she will drift off in seconds. Her horns are very sensitive in general, meaning that they enhance her comfort when taken care of while cuddling. Just make sure to not rub too hard, else you may leave her excited instead.

The only problem for Ganyu is getting up in the morning. She needs to wiggle out of your grasp, very regrettably so, and somehow not wake you up. Most of the time she succeeds… she has to. Because waking you up means being trapped in a hug for fifteen minutes, sometimes thirty even. 

As much as she tries to fool herself about it not being far superior to working, Ganyu just can't resist a few more minutes of cuddling with her beloved - it does wonders for her productivity… Ningguang will surely understand, right? 

Ningguang's work is quite exhausting, all things considered. She puts on a brave face to aid in her complex relationships with other members of high society, partially for her own entertainment as well. But, after many hours, Ningguang just wants to get away from this and not be carefully observed and judged at every step. That's where you come in. 

At the end of the day, she likes to take a good, relaxing bath with you and cuddle. 

Her favorite position is half spoon, with her being the spoon. The full version makes her quite flustered and bothered, as you mainly use it for the less safe for work version of cuddling… the memories make her a little too excited to rest. 

She enjoys lying her head on your chest and listening to the sound of your breathing and the beating of your heart. There's something so hypnotizing about how rhythmical it is. 

She tends to mumble about her day while cuddling, eyes closed and sleepy. She finally gets to speak her mind without worry, about how annoying, creepy, socially awkward and ugly some of her trading partners are. She finds no judgment in your arms, and Ningguang is eternally grateful for having you.

ice skating headcanons

includes: kaeya, childe, diluc, cyno, ayato, xiao.

notes: happy holidays! i always love going ice skating around the holidays and wintertime.

kaeya.

he’s surprisingly terrible.

yeah no, kaeya can’t skate very well. you were surprised when he immediately slipped and fell the second he got on the ice. you weren’t the best at ice skating either, but you could at least make your way to where he sat, in the middle of the ice rink, unable to get back up.

“don’t judge me! i’ve never been ice skating before.”

“you literally have a cryo vision?”

his face, already rosey from the cold, reddens even more. “yeah, well… that doesn’t mean i can figure skate.”

you can only manage a nod, not really sure if you should be concerned, amused, or all of the above. you reach out a hand to help him up. kaeya grabs it and pulls.

“really?” you ask, now also spawled out on the ice. kaeya laughs like it’s the funniest thing in the world, and it kind of is, until you remind him: you don’t know how to get up without someone else, either.

and then you both sit there—debating whether you should crawl to the walls, ask a stranger for help, or just wait until the zamboni comes around to push you off.

childe.

when you suggested you and childe go ice skating together, you fully expected to be the better of you both. you weren’t the best, but certainly better than average.

but no, about an hour later, childe was still skating circles—or rather, figure eights—around you. you could stay on your feet and stop when you needed to; childe could jump several feet in the air and spin for minutes on end.

honestly, you guess you should have expected it. childe he did grow up in a land covered in snow and ice. he was a natural.

“can you please wait for me?” you call after childe.

he turns, now skating backwards, and flashes you an arrogant smile. you feel he likes showing off, even as he slows down and waits for you to catch up.

“i’m sorry,” he says, gently taking your hand.

“no you’re not.”

“no,” he confirms. “i’m not.”

he flashes you a brillant smile, and then he’s off—with you being dragged pulled behind him. is that better or worse than before? you can’t tell.

diluc.

“diluc…”

“no.”

“but…”

“anything but that, [name].”

you pout and cross your arms over your chest. “but diluc, it’ll be a fun date…”

diluc thinks you look adorable right now, but even as you give him those puppy-dog eyes, his answer remains firm: he will not be going on an ice skating date with you.

“we can go on other nice dates,” he insists, turning away from you.

“but why?” you ask. “can you at least answer that?”

“i just… don’t want to go?”

“diluc.”

he sighs, and relents. “because the last time i tried figure skating, i melted the rink and got kicked out.”

diluc looks up at you when you don’t respond, a faint blush already on his cheeks. it only deepens when he sees you’re trying not to laugh—you feel bad, but you can’t help it, either.”

now he’s the one pouting. you collect yourself, and tell him, “okay… now we have to go.”

yeah, diluc definitely shouldn’t have given you that particular gem of information.

cyno.

cyno has been putting off your ice skating date for weeks. he’s been telling you “next week” for the past three weeks now, and you put your foot down.

that’s how you finally ended up at the ice arena. there’s you, impatient and excited to get on the ice again, and cyno, looking… not completely uncomfortable in ice skates?

“you look ready,” you observe, opening the door once the zamboni exits the ice.

“hope so,” cyno mutters under his breath.

and… he is. he is? you can’t quite comprehend how good cyno is at figure skating—he’s not the best, but that he’s able to stand on his own two feet and hasn’t fallen yet… you’re impressed.

cyno knows it too, but instead of being smug, he seems almost bashful when he comes up to you.

“how… how are you…?”

cyno will later insist his blush was because of the cold, and not because of his confession: “i’ve been practicing.”

“for how long?”

“a few weeks.”

cyno watches you do the math. “so when you’ve been putting this off—“

“yes,” cyno says. “i know you wanted to go and… i didn’t want to be falling over myself.”

now it’s your turn to blush. he didn’t have to do all that, but you’re secretly happy he did.

ayato.

the date was ayato’s idea, and although you’ve never been ice skating before, you go with him.

but not only thirty seconds after getting on the ice, you already want to get off. you’re awful, absolutely awful, at this.

“how are you doing that?” you ask as ayato skates towards you. you’re clinging to the wall while ayato’s able to gracefully stop infront of you, no support needed.

“i learned when i was young,” ayato tells you. he pauses and observes you, wobbly and about to slip with every movement you make. ayato cautiously asks, “maybe should we get off?”

“no!” you almost shout. ayato blinks, and you repeat more softly, “sorry. i mean, no, i want to stay on.”

“are you sure?” ayato asks.

no. “yes.”

yeah, you’d regret that response thirty minutes later, having fallen and slipped and tripped several times over. ayato, for his credit, doesn’t laugh (although he looks like he really wants to at times). he only smiles and reaches out his hand.

and yet the next time he asks if you want to get off, your answer is immediate: yes.

xiao.

“i do not want to go figure skating.”

“xiao!” you exclaim. you’ve been pestering him to go for the past week or so, and his answer so far hasn’t budged.

“why do you even want to go?” xiao asks.

“because! it’s fun and romantic.” you protest. you continue, “i can show you how, it’s really easy once you get used to it—“

“i—“

“—and i promise i won’t laugh if you fall. okay, maybe i might, but i promise i’ll try not to, so please can we go?”

xiao makes the mistake of looking into your wide, hopeful eyes. he wants to be stubborn and suggest another date idea… but he really can’t, not when you’re looking at him like that.

but you really don’t know why he didn’t want to go. xiao isn’t a terrible figure skater—he might even be better than you, though you’re only decent at best.

“so, why didn’t you want to come?” you ask once you take a break off the ice.

xiao shrugs. “i just didn’t really like it.”

“oh.” you kind of feel bad now, insisting on going, before xiao turns to you and says quietly, “but i do like that you like it and… i’d go with you again.”

“really?” you ask.

“really.”

It's embarrassing how long this request has been sitting in my inbox, and I'm so sorry that it took me so long to finally write this because it's literally one of my favorite tropes ever. If you're still around, anon, I really hope you enjoy this! <3

Safe in my hands – Childe x gn!reader 

It’s already dark outside when a knock on your door interrupts your quiet and peaceful evening. For a moment, you consider to ignore whoever’s outside of your hours right now but when they knock again, more impatiently this time, you sigh and put your book down. Another knock, and you make your way to the hallway, ready to bite the head of your unexpected visitor off as you fling the door open. But the words die on your tongue when you recognize Childe – or rather, the state he’s in. He’s barely able to keep himself upright, clutching his ribs, and his clothes are drenched in blood. Still, he somehow manages to crack a smile. “I know it’s late,” he says and lets out a shaky breath, “but I think I need your help.”

You’re too stunned to speak, so you just drag him inside and shut the door. It’s not the first time he shows up at your doorstep, bleeding and beaten, but it’s most definitely the first time that his injuries are this bad. Archons, you really hope your abilities are good enough to help him.

“I hope this is not your blood,” you say in a miserable attempt to ease the tension that fills your small living room. Childe shakes his head and laughs, a laugh that quickly turns into a cough, and your heart sinks. “You really need to stop being so reckless.”

“Are you worried about me, comrade?”

“No, I’m more worried about the fact that you keep ruining my furniture.” It feels awful to crack jokes in a situation like this but you need to distract yourself from freaking out. Childe is your friend, and it hurts to see him like this. It hurts to know that he’s reckless enough to risk his life just for the thrill of battle. If he continues like this, he’ll get himself killed sooner or later, you’re sure. One day, you might not be able to save him.

But today, you can, so you push these thoughts to the back of your mind and help him take off his jacket. It’s ruined, as well as his maroon colored shirt, but you honestly couldn’t care less about his clothes, especially now that you can clearly see the severity of his injuries to the full extent. His upper body is covered in several cuts and bruises, and his ribcage is bruised as well. 

“Not looking too good, hm?” Childe asks, though he probably already knows the answer. With a sigh, you say, “Nothing I can’t deal with. I’ll get a cloth and some water. Some of these cuts look really nasty. Wait here.”

It doesn’t take long to fetch everything you need in your kitchen. When you return to the living room, Childe forces himself to smile once again. “Thank you for helping me.”

“Don’t mention it,” you say as you start to clean a particularly deep cut on his chest. “Now, do you want to tell me what happened out there?”

“Fatui business,” is all he replies, and you nod. He never tells you anything about his work. At first, it has irritated you because you were convinced that he didn’t trust you but now, you know that he keeps his silence to protect you. After all, it’s dangerous to get involved with the Harbingers. 

“Okay,” you say and put the cloth aside, “I’m going to heal this cut first, and then I’ll take care of your ribs. Alright?”

He nods. “You’re the healer, comrade. I trust you.”

You take a deep breath and let your hand hover over the cut, focusing on your ability to speed up the cell growth. The injury is bad but you’ve seen worse during the time you have worked as the Milleliths’ healer, and soon enough, the wound stops bleeding, giving you the opportunity to examine it further. It’s already looking a lot better but healing it completely will take a while. “This might hurt,” you warn him, “but afterwards, you’ll feel a lot better.”

He doesn’t flinch, not even once, but the way he presses his lips together is enough to tell you that he’s in pain. “Comrade, are you sure you know what you’re doing?”

“Shut up. I need to focus.”

A few minutes go by, silence settling in until you pull your hand away and let out a sigh of relief. “There,” you say, “as good as new. What about your ribs?”

“I don’t think they’re broken,” Childe replies and sits up, only to let himself fall back against the backrest of your couch, “but they sure hurt.”

“I can help with that.” You suck your lower lip between your teeth, trying very hard not to lose your focus, as you summon Cryo to your fingertips and gently press them against his bruised skin. He hisses in pain but soon enough, you feel his tense muscles relax beneath your touch, and he closes his eyes, a relieved sigh escaping his slightly parted lips.

“Better?” you ask, softly. 

“Yeah. Thank you.”

A smile flashes over your face. A smile that quickly fades when you realize that his body is covered in scars, a clear sign that he has been in this spot way too often already. It’s not a deliberate action, nothing you have planned to do, but you raise your hand and carefully trace the faded scar that spreads across his chest. Childe stays perfectly still but you can feel his racing heartbeat underneath your fingers. 

“What happened there?” you ask, your voice barely louder than a whisper. Childe turns his head away to avoid your gaze. “The Abyss isn’t exactly a friendly place – especially not when you’re a foolish and overconfident kid.”

Your heart is resting flat on his chest now, right above his heart, your touch still so gently that he feels like he’s going to melt right on the spot. He can’t remember the last time someone has cared about him in the way you do. He knows he should probably pull away but something in him craves this, craves the feeling of security and peace only you can give him. And so, he doesn’t pull away.

Moving your other hand to the back of his neck, you guide him forward until your forehead is pressed against his and the tips of your noses brush together every time one of you moves. This close to him, it’s almost impossible to ignore the rose-colored blush that’s dusting his freckled cheeks, and judging from the way his ocean blue eyes widen just the tiniest bit, he’s well aware of that, too. 

“I’m sorry this happened to you,” you say quietly. “I can’t imagine how hard it must have been to deal with all of that.”

Childe lets out a shaky breath. It’s rare that he’s at a loss for words but in that moment, it’s like has lost the ability to form a proper sentence. He doesn’t know if it’s because you’re still so close to him or because he’s so taken aback by the fact that you genuinely care about him, despite everything he has done in the past. Most people don’t like being around him, even his parents and older siblings have distanced themselves from him after he joined the Fatui, and sometimes he just feels terribly lonely. 

“I’m fine now,” he whispers – and he means it. Here with you, he feels at ease, like nothing else matters, and this time, his smile is genuine. “All thanks to you.”

Update + Vault 111!

Hi everyone. I'm doing a little better, at least physically. Mentally, the jury's still out.

First, I'm still working on proofreading the next chapter of Defenders At The Crossroads. (Tiny spoiler: Cassie is getting out of the Vault!) I've also started the next chapter, which will be the last time we see RJ until he and Cassie meet. ADHD is kicking my ass, so everything is taking a lot longer than normal. I'm sorry, and I hope to have it out soon.

Now on to the fun part.

When I was writing the next chapter of DATC, I kept running into a couple of roadblocks. The biggest one was not being able to picture the inside of the Vault.

So, in all of my hyperfixating glory, I sat down and made a blueprint of it. Meet my version of Vault 111:

My personal headcanon is that Sanctuary Hills, and Vault 111, are bigger than they are in game. My version of Sanctuary Hills is based off of the neighborhood I grew up (houses were made in the mid-1950s for veterans returning from war). I doubt I will make a map of it.

More about it below the cut.

Yes, it was made in MS Paint. How many hours did I spend? Too damn many. Am I mentally well? No. Would I do this again? Probably not.

The following is a legend of the numbers in each room.

Atrium/Entrance. The mesh on the bridge took a long time to perfect.

Cryo Chamber 1.

Cryo Chamber 2.

Cryo Chamber 3. This is where Cassie and her family were.

Security Room. Their bedroom and bathroom are attached.

Maintenance Room. Contains toolboxes and some of the machines that keep the Vault running. Like Security, their bedroom and bathroom are attached.

Lounge. In the game, this is where you find the security baton and your first enemy.

Cafeteria with kitchenette. Enough room for about half the staff to eat at a time.

Generator Room. Since my version of the Vault is bigger, I added two more generators. Added a table for the makeshift checkpoint by the entrance to the hall.

Storage Room. Always thought it was unusual that the Vault never had a storage area, whether it was for liquid nitrogen/other things to keep the Vault running or storage for the test subjects' belongings. Everything is stored here.

Overseer's Office. Like in the game, the bedroom and bathroom are attached. I kept the cage where you find the Cryolator, and added more file cabinets.

Scientists' Room. This is where the scientists conducted their side experiments to pass time while waiting for the All-Clear from Vault-Tec. Their bedroom and bathroom are attached.

Surveillance Room. Unlike the limited cameras in the Security Room, these cameras watched the cryo rooms as well as the rest of the Vault.

I might add more details and stuff later. If you have questions, feel free to ask! For now, I'm gonna go take a nap since I slept horribly last night.

Somewhere I said I was going to do an MWAS infodump after Sabezra DinBo week. Here’s one I’ve been pecking at for awhile. This is how we got the divorce fight flashback scene in For Better Or Worse. I want to write this fic but it might be too exhausting, LOL. I still want it documented though because it’s an important part of this bonkers AU my brain wrote for me.

The Great Not-Divorce, otherwise known as what happens when you need a good angsty headcanon and have acquired too much secondhand aviation knowledge from your husband:

Around the 10 year mark is when we have the divorce fight in For Better Or Worse. Tom and Chyler have been stationed apart for about a year and while neither of them is the picture of mental health, Tom has gotten BAD. He’s been in survival mode for awhile now and the physical distance between him and Chyler isn’t helping. Chyler is increasingly unhappy, but Tom doesn’t have the brain space to really hear it.

I’m not sure what capital-S Stupid thing Tom did that pushed Chyler over the edge. Something worse than “forgot her birthday” and not as egregious as “hopped into bed with someone else.” Whatever he did, Chyler sends the decree of divorce with no warning—and right before her ship makes a slipspace jump and Tom can’t talk to her for a few days. Yeah, not her best move. Tom wakes up, sees the message, is completely blindsided, and immediately has to report for duty.

A couple of hours later, the CAG chews Tom out for doing something dumb on a training run and Tom tells him what happened. CAG grounds him for “however long it takes to get your head on straight” and tells Tom “if you love this woman, you fight. You dig in your heels and fight like mad for her.”

Tom has another day and a half to brood over this before he finally gets in touch with Chyler. He rightly unloads on her for unilaterally deciding their marriage was over AND sending the divorce papers when she knew they’d be on a communication blackout for three days. That’s the flashback scene, which in its own fic would end with Tom asking Chyler for another day to think about everything. Chyler isn’t pleased, but she relents since she can’t exactly force him to sign from where she is. Plus, she’s more hopeful than she wants to admit that Tom showed some fight.

Later that day Tom gets a call from the ship psychologist/counselor and my secondhand aviation knowhow becomes a headcanon. That yearly aviator physical last week? Well, the flight surgeon is concerned enough about Tom’s mental state to alert the chief medical officer, who alerted the psychologist. She thinks the flight surgeon is right to be worried and shows Tom a laundry list of the doc’s observations.

Tom’s not deluded about what this means. He’s on thin ice with his medical due to his cryo allergy (which is stupid by the way but that’s another topic) and any diagnosed mental health condition, never mind treatment for the same, is an automatic revocation. @mrtobenamedlater can elaborate on this but flight medicals are STRICT.

This would also DQ Lasky from any line officer position in real life, I have to think, but I gotta use what Halo gave me here.

Now comes a hard part in the story: A guy with the emotional intelligence of a brick (at this point in his life, anyway) has to have a lightbulb moment about mental health and not sound like he’s trying to ace therapy. Tom is not OK. He hasn’t been for a long time. He thinks he’s coping with everything just fine because he’s not drinking or smoking or getting high, but the counselor gets him to see that adrenaline/thrills/risk-taking is his drug of choice. That almost got someone killed yesterday and it’s about to cost him his marriage.

Tom has an epiphany and runs to beg, plead, bribe someone, whatever it takes to get an immediate transfer to fill that vacant navigator position. He gets all the paperwork drawn up. Tom just wants it held until he can talk to Chyler.

The next day Tom spills everything to Chyler. He’s a mess. He loves flying, but it’s eating him alive. He’s been under the radar for awhile but the people holding his medical are onto him. If he admits defeat now, he can still have a say over what he does next. All he has to do is sign on the X, if Chyler will still have him.

Chyler keeps saying there must be another way, but there isn’t. Tom’s flying days are done. Even if they weren’t, he wouldn’t choose his wings over his wife. He’s been doing that all year and look where it got them. He’s absolutely sick that he hurt Chyler so badly she thought divorce was her only option. They both know that’s not really what she wants. Don’t they deserve another chance?

We all know how this goes. Though what exactly happens in the 10-12 years between this point and Reach isn’t hammered out yet. Tom and Chyler struggle a lot still during that time, and still do even by the time we drop into the meat of this AU right after Halo 4. They both have a LOT of trauma and personal challenges even before Forward Into Dawn. The life they have chosen is not suited to stable relationships. But, at the end of the day, Tom and Chyler love each other. Like, a lot. It’s disgusting, really. I invented them and I think they’re disgusting. Their combined willpower might be the only thing holding them together sometimes, but it’s enough.

Besides, divorce is a lot of paperwork. And if there’s one thing Captain Lasky hates, it’s paperwork.

When Kazuha is sleepy, he becomes extremely, uncharacteristically cuddly. This man is not the type to shy away from physical intimacy, but very seldom initiates it.

His fingers brushing against yours is the most he’ll do, and it’s really all to see if you’ll intertwine his fingers with his. It’s very rare of him to just hold your hand.It’s a relief you always hold his hand anyways.

Very rarely, usually only the times where you both have individual businesses to tend to on opposite sides of the sea - will he gingerly take your hand in his, planting a kiss to it. He’ll let his touch linger in each soft, rub of his thumb over the back of your hand - despite being a man of words, it’s his way of saying “be safe.”

When Kazuha is sleepy, the part of his brain that tells him to be reserved shuts off. Kazuha wants you, all of you - in his arms. The man no longer wants to be the leaf on the branch, waiting for the wind to whistle past him.

The wind breezed past you, blowing your hair and embracing you in its morning breeze. You both had woken up tired, perhaps falling asleep on the decks of Captain’s Beidou’s ship again wasn’t made for the best of sleep - but all Kazuha wanted was to embrace you.

With rubbing his back gently as he ran his fingers through your hair and rested his chin on your head - he realized he didn’t envy the wind anymore.

Gets uncharacteristically quiet. Like dead silent, when he’s tired.

This man is full of teases and smirks, witty comebacks and paired with that velvety voice of his - oh my goddess - your cheeks might as well be matches this cryo-wielder ironically lights on fire.

But when he can barely keeps his eyes open after an mentally and physically draining day of work, or in the early hours of morning - you seldom get a word from him.

Kaeya isn’t much a man of the Acrhons, but he would pray to all of them if it meant a few extra minutes lying in bed with you.

Despite how badly he wants you in his arms, or, as bashful he gets to admit it, (yes Kaeya gets shy more often than not) — he wants to be in your arms.

Kaeya is no man to shy away from physical intimacy - he kisses you and he’s handsy - of course, he knows how deep your comfortable with him to tread your waters, and the millisecond you give any sign of discomfort this man freezes. And waits.

Kaeya knows your comfortable with him wrapping his arms around you as much as you are sleeping in the same bed as him - and he smiles slightly at your frazzled bedhead and the slight trail of drool leaving the corner of your mouth.

Beautiful is his only thought, but you always render him speechless. Your eyes flutter open like the butterflies in his stomach when they do. He would avert his gaze shyly, and he’d move closer to you - lightly shifting his leg further in the intertwine with yours.

The last look he would give you was one of guilt when you let him not only into your arms - something more, his tired mind cannot think up at the moment.

The warmth of your embrace melted away his guilt like the icy walls he built around his heart. Listening to the beat of yours, he would smile into your chest.

It’s seldom, but sometimes on days when he’s tired - he whispers a “thank you” against your lips for letting a man like him into your heart.

Diluc

This poor man is always tired. After a both mentally and physically exhausting day dealing with drunkards at Angel’s Share, (and his vigilante ways as the Dark Night Hero in the night) - he’s sleep deprived.

You worry about him immensely, and try to help him however you can - but your lover is a perfectionist and rather see it done his way or not done at all, sometimes. Especially (and ironically) when he’s tired.

He’ll get grumpy - and be a bit short with you when you knock on his study’s door to drag him to the bed for the archons-knows how many time. He’s always quick to apologize (he truly feels horrible)

Diluc takes a lot of pride in “being a man and handling things on his own” - but he often forgets that asking for help is a strength, not the weakness his mind twisted it out to be.

You one time found him asleep on his desk, drooling all over his paperworks for this very reason. He suffered a sore neck and back for his stubbornness (did I mention he gets stubborn?)

When the man’s near the point his eyes can no longer stay open, he gets the most stubborn. His fear triggers it - he feels he’s failing to hold the weight of his responsibilities if he needs rest - and his fear of failure kicks in.

When Diluc is exhausted, he’ll still need your help to get him to relax - his body like jelly and his words slurring together is not enough.

The ever stoic Diluc will wrap you in his arms and bury his head into your shoulder. If you run your fingers through his fiery locks and massage his scalp he’ll be asleep in a minute, lightly snoring.

Your choose to date a fiery man, and his emotions can be all over the place when he’s tried - but him sleeping soundly in your arms, slowly learning rest and help doesn’t make him any less than - is worth it.

You are worth to me more than anything, he would think as you plant a kiss on his forehead.

i am THINKING about this so very hard. perhaps a special event that brings people back to monstadt (like the one we're getting very soon), to wine and dine and drink and make merry . . . and reader is just so sweet, so eager to please, wants to help diluc so much - and it's not like he's going to be at home much, is it? so it's agreed upon that they can take some shifts at angel's share, when diluc is there to keep an eye on them - and what do you know! they're very good at it! in fact, if diluc didn't know better, he'd think several of the patrons purposely hang back to be served by reader instead of coming to diluc himself.

and reader's in a cute little approximation of a waitress outfit; maybe it's a bit too small, again, because he can't help himself, but it's festive! still. only diluc should get to ogle at the soft push of reader's chest in a low-cut little white blouse (i'm imagining, seeing as monstadt is so heavily german-inspired, something akin to a dirndl?) and bodice that just emphasises how lovely and round and nice to touch they'd be. so he's glaring daggers from behind the bar, and oh no, that's not helping people want to be served by maid reader either!

i do think this is especially funny with venti. diluc knows that's barbatos; knows that it's monstadt's archon . . . but all maid reader knows is it's the funny, charming bard that people love to hear play at angel's share, so they should probably be nice to him! and diluc can only bring himself to be so curt with venti, knowing everything he knows . . . and venti takes full advantage of that. accidentally falls into reader's generous decolletege. flirts and winks and sings particularly bawdy songs whilst making direct eye contact. you cannot tell me that venti wouldn't fall head over heels for a chubby reader. come on.

to be honest i think he’d be a yanfei main!! but if we’re talking abt 5 stars, then he’s a kazuha main!

loves exploring the map and gets excited when opening luxurious chests T_T (hes so CUTE)

INVESTED IN THE LORE. probably thinks of theories abt whats happening w celestia and everything 

if you’d ask him to help u a quest with smth he would Not hesitate because he’s done all of them. 

more invested in the lore and playing the game than the gacha aspect of it, probably has like 24k primogems

HU TAO MAIN. he has staff of homa and everything and got her to c1 

burns grass when playing with others in co-op to decrease their health. 

loses every single 50/50 to diluc. thats why he has c4 diluc im sorry riki 

yells out loud whenever he dies 

wants qiqi solely for the purpose of putting her and hu tao on the same team. but he has never gotten her (probably jealous of tuonto and his c16 qiqi) 

never saves reckless pallad (but tbh does anyone) 

likes using jean to throw other people who hes co oping with off high mountains. 

he’s like heeseung - oneshots everything. highest dmg is around one million smth. the both of them probably compete to see who can get the highest dmg w the same character 

LOVES INAZUMA DO I NEED TO SAY MORE :(( his exploration there is 100% and he has mastered all the inazuma recipes
