Had an interesting talk with @cappierong recently about how we’re not going to level 20 so I’ll have to adjust the way I’ll be approaching some of Amoré’s long term goals in the campaign.

She won’t be getting any of 9th level spells from the sorcerer or cleric list that I was counting on, so it may limit the amount of happy endings possible, & while discussing possible options she has, we came up with this AU & I’m physically holding myself back from redrawing this entire fucking movie.

Also Sam if you see this lips zipped Ali still hasn’t noticed I got her back in the last 5 minutes 😈

It’s interesting how both the Smitten and the Skeptic kill you.

If you kill the Princess, they both visit the same fate upon you, overriding your input. However, their respective motivations are very different.

The Smitten does it out of distraught, furious bereavement; he kills us as much out of rage and revenge as he does grief. The Skeptic, meanwhile, kills us when the Narrator traps us (the way he does in the good ending). However, the Skeptic is not like the Hero; he does not let us decide when he recognizes the circumstances we have found ourselves in.

Both represent so overwhelming a force that they can make choices without your input, but from completely opposite angles. The Smitten out of passion, anger, and in-the-moment emotion. The Skeptic out of cold, practical logic that's focused on the long game. They are superficially different, but they end up pulling the same stunt; down at their cores, they're not as different as they might seem.

As for the pairs, one of the most generous ways to read the Smitten/Damsel relationship is that it represents the honeymoon phase. Smitten and Damsel have just met, think the world of each other, will do anything for each other, want to make each other happy, and dismiss each other's flaws when the Hero or the Narrator voices them. They are driven not by what they know but by their initial impressions and emotions.

This perspective leaves them both oblivious or apathetic to the Narrator’s machinations; they can ignore or overpower him. The shackle slips right off the Damsel's wrist. The locked door swings open. Even murdering the Damsel is not enough to dampen her love for you; all that does is turn it murderous again via the Burned Grey.

On the other hand, information drives the Skeptic and the Prisoner. They do not know each other. You took the blade when you went to meet her, and she killed you. These two can’t trust each other. Not completely. Because neither trusts without verifying first. And because, besides all that, there’s another factor in play: the Narrator.

Both the Skeptic and the Prisoner are aware of the Narrator. Both know that no matter what they want or do, something outside of them has the power to interfere. And their weapon of choice against him is information. The Prisoner plays dumb unless you “-give away the game,” and even then, she doesn’t reveal her plan. Not even to you. Instead, she hopes you take the hint and figure out what she wants you to do. Likewise, when you try to give her the knife to enact the plan, the Narrator tries to stop you as he did before, and the Skeptic thwarts him by pointing out how well that went the last time.

In contrast to the Damsel/Smitten pair, these two have one of the least emotionally charged dynamics of any Shifty/Quiet duo but have mutual respect and an understated sense of partnership that few other pairs start out with. Though the Drowned Grey’s motivation is not the explicit love of her counterpart, she’s still dressed like a widow to parallel the Burned Grey’s wedding dress.

And speaking of the Greys, they bring home the contrasting yet parallel dynamics between these Princesses and their Voices: one is fire, one is water. One has a passionate affect, the other a flat affect. One leaves behind only bones, the other a fleshy corpse. One is a bride, the other is a widow. Killing the Princess you defied the Narrator to save results in a Grey, a ghost dressed for marriage (future or past), that leads you to the basement of a dilapidated cabin that serves as your gruesome tomb.

The Damsel/Prisoner/Greys have many superficial differences that highlight how similar they are once you look beyond them. If played straight, the Damsel/Prisoner is a route where you continue to defy the narrator. The Damsel wants to leave? Pull off her chain and escort her out. The Prisoner wants to escape her chains? Give her the knife and take her head with you. Both are routes where you've established the best report with the Princess you could; you've literally died to protect her. Following this, you can take advantage of that goodwill and use it against the Narrator.

And in the case of the Greys, while the details are different (rain/desert, widow/bride, bones/corpse, drowning/burning) in both cases you're led to your doom by a betrayed ghost of a Princess in a neglected cabin.

Various Voices and Princesses serve as foils and mirrors to each other (Rivalry and Submission, Terror and Longing, etc.), but none more closely than the Damsel/Prisoner Smitten/Skeptic. It makes them especially interesting and I'm excited to see what their future third chapters have in store.

in october, i’m hoping to drop a list of halloween head canons; specifically, what i think each character’s costumes would be! but i’m honestly really struggling to come up with fun and creative ideas, and that’s where you come in!

I’m 𝒞𝓁𝑜𝓊𝒹 and I’m all about gaming and art. You’ll often find me with a controller in one hand and a comic book in the other. My better half, the yin to my yang. She’s the partner in crime, the sweet melody to my wild riffs, and the one who brings a touch of grace to our shared tales of adventure and heart, 𝒞𝒽𝒾𝑒𝓃𝓃𝑒! We write what we love, and we love what we write. Our stories are inspired by our current fascinations—be it a game, a movie, or a manga. If it’s interesting and fascinating to us, it’s fair game for our writing.

Most of our stories are “x female reader” because that’s where we feel most at home. Occasionally, we’ll write “x gender-neutral reader” pieces for a bit of variety. However, we generally steer clear of “x male reader” or “OC x canon” stories. We want to create a space where female readers can see themselves in the worlds we love so much.

Comics: Batman is my passion. I collect anything related to the Dark Knight, and my collection is my pride and joy.

Anime/Manga: I'm into One Piece, Princess TuTu, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Jujutsu Kaisen, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Kingdom Hearts, Sgt. Frog, Free!, HellSing, and a bunch more. I have also seen MHA, Fairy Tail, Dragon Ball, Soul Eater, Naruto, Castlevania, Diabolik Lovers and more.

Disney & Tim Burton: I’m a Disney kid at heart. My top 5 Disney movies are Treasure Planet, Cinderella 3, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and The Princess and the Frog. And I’m all about Halloween and everything Tim Burton.

Music: I love RnB and Y2K music so much! However, you can usually find me listening to cutesy, cheesy love songs.

Gaming: I’m definitely not the biggest gamer around, but I do love to play Roblox, Fortnite, and Minecraft! Sometimes I’ll also dabble in some fall guys, FNAF or Poppy’s Playtime. On Roblox, I love to play pretty much anything but pvp games due to the fact that I’m not the best at them. Horror games are probably my favorite, even though I’m a chicken!

Anime/Manga: My favorites are definitely Fairy Tail, Jojo’s bizarre adventure, Naruto, and Demon slayer. I’ve also watched MHA, Danganronpa, Yona of the Dawn, Food wars, High Rise Invasion, Angels of death, and more!

Disney and Tim Burton: I’m definitely a Disney girl! I love all Disney Princess movies, both animated and live action. My top three not in any particular order would have to be Tangled, The Little Mermaid, and Princess and the Frog. For Tim Burton, my favorites are the classics, The nightmare before Christmas and Corpse bride. 

Books: I’m also a huge book girly! My favorite genre has to be fantasy/sci-fi. My favorite book series is The Lunar Chronicles, I definitely recommend it!

Day 10 Halloween Party (Colby Brock) FEM!READER

Y/N’S POV

Tonight was the night of the annual Trap House Halloween party. This year, it was hosted by my friends Sam, Colby, Coery and Jake.

Currently, I was stuck on what costume to wear for the party. I knew Devyn and Coery were going as a pair of ghosts. Jake and Tara were going as Chucky and Tiffany. Sam and Katrina were going as Emily and Victor from Corpse Bride. That left Colby and myself. Knowing Colby though, he was going to match costumes with Brennen. Those two were inseparable.

Eventually, I decided on a costume; a flapper girl from the 40s. Grabbing the beaded fringed green dress, I slip it on before taking the black gloves and putting them on as well. I then took the black headpiece and necklace before putting them on. Once I was ready, I went downstairs, grabbed my keys and headed out.

Upon arriving at the party, I could immediately see Halloween themed lights illuminating from the windows. The faint sound of music also reached my ears as I got out of my car and made my way inside.

“Y/N! You made it”

Looking over, I see Sam waving me over, causing me to grin as I walk over to greet him.

“Hey Sam” I give him a warm smile, “Yea, well, I almost didn't. Couldn't decide on which costume to wear” I added.

Then Katrina walks over to me and Sam.

“Y/N hey girl I love your costume.” Katrina said, wrapping her arms around Sam.

“Thank you and I love the Corpse Bride coupled duo you both got going on.” I said then I walked off to see everyone else. I was Devyn and Coery as well as Jake and Tara. I walked over to them.

“Hey guys love the costumes.” I said as I walked over to them.

“Y/N!!” They all said.

So I started to talk to them. While I was talking to them I noticed Brennen and his brother Jake both dressed as Pirates.

“Huh?” I thought to myself. “I guess Brennen decided to match with his brother this year.” I added. “THAT'S a surprise.”

I finished talking to the group then I headed off to the kitchen to see what they had for food. When I walked in I saw Colby dressed as a mob boss. I decided to mess with him so I walked over.

“Hey stranger, fancy seeing you here.” I said to Colby walking next to him.

Colby looked over and saw me and the look on his face was priceless.

“Wow Y/N you look beautiful.” Colby said.

“Thank you, you're not so bad yourself.” I said. “But also you copy me with the 40s look.” I added playfully punching him in the shoulder.

Colby made a shocked face.

“What?” He said. “Me, copy you never.” He added.

We both started laughing then we unofficially became a duo for the halloween party we had some many people come up to us and asked if it was planned we obviously said no but I knew a little part of colby wanted to mess with people. We continued until the party died off at which point I was shit faced and couldn't drive home. To be honest I don't remember much other than waking up in Colbys bedroom in nothing but one of his shirts. I panicked and ran out to where I ran into katrina.

“Katrina what happened last night?” I asked her.

“Well the short of it is that you and Colby decided to have a drinking contest and Colby tapped out but when he did you were so drunk that you held onto Colby the whole night to which you finally confessed your feelings for Colby and then kissed him and you were getting ready to leave but the guys had stopped you and Colby let you sleep in his room while he slept on the couch and he had asked me to change you into one of his shirts and we left you alone for the rest on the night.” Katrina said

I sat and listened to all of that in embarrassment then I saw Colby and walked over to him.

“Colby about last night.” I said “I'm sorry if I had embarrassed you in front of everyone by confessing my feelings but I wasn't lying.” I added "I actually do like you and I hope that doesn't change anything between us.” I said as he stood there I was so scared of how he was gonna react but he actually kissed him.

We kissed for a minute then pulled away.

“I was waiting for you to say something.” Colby said with a smile then we kissed again.

Based on my reading of F&B, one could come to either of two conclusions: one, Alys is an obvious victim; or two, they were in a mutually advantageous relationship which eventually dissolved into both obsession and love. The second interpretation stems from Alys having autonomy in that partnership... and being someone whose opinion carries significant weight for Aemond. She isn't portrayed as a helpless damsel; rather, she is powerful and influential. If you need a more detailed answer as to why I find this duo intriguing, here is another link.

Now, coming to why I like them? They are captivating! As a gothic fan, I can't help but be drawn to them. Some of my favorites are Bynden/Sheira, Duncan/Jenny, and Night's King/corpse bride.. but if I have to pick one favorite, it's definitely Alysmond. It is fine if you don't like this ship - I have stated this shit 100 times over! BUT what I can't comprehend is why people like you are so full of hatred when it comes to her? Words I've heard y'all say about her reveal such misogynistic attitudes.. most of you are beginning to sound more and more like these femcels. Even others who don't like this ship have noticed that there seems to be animosity against Alys, no matter the context. I apologize, but some of you sound like 4chan members who often resort to labelling every male whom they don't favour as either a 'beta male' or a 'cuck'. A noticeable disparity is shown when you look through the Reddit threads and observe how men perceive her character vs how y'all do.

When you ask "What is so interesting about her?", the answer is the same as what makes any other gothic heroine interesting. She is a witch, the lone survivor of her family with questionable motives. She becomes the prince's paramour during his stay in one of the most gargantuan and obnoxious castles out there. They carry out some dubious deeds and cause chaos together. She watches him battle one last time, then gives birth to his son. She declares herself the 'witch queen of Harrenhal' and starts practicing dark magic. When compared to the other dull, uninteresting contenders for potential partners, Alys is far more interesting. It's amusing how much you have to invent or modify character arcs in order to create a believable ship with Aemond — whether it's with an existing canon member or an OC —but still, Alys somehow manages to remain boring for y'all! 🙄

Since its the Spookiest day of the year, Here's Bell's Hells Trick or Treating Headcanons

Chet: He goes ALL OUT on trick or treating. His costume is just his wolf form. No one questions it and its glorious. All the neighborhood kids thinks its awesome and ask to give wolf!chet some scritches. For trick or treating., he has a big ass pillow case thats bigger than he is and you bet he makes sure that it filled up by the end of the night. As for trick or treaters, he doesnt make anyone say "trick or treat" to get candy. He also gets the regular sized candy. Kids love him.

Orym: Orym's pretty chill about Halloween. He also does easier costume but he's mainly there to make sure that his trick or treat buddies are safe. His candy bag is one of those McDonalds trick or treat buckets but, because of his size, its half the size of him maaaybe smaller. For trick or treaters, he makes sure to have candy options for any dietary restriction.

Fearne: For trick or treating, she dresses like shes going to a ren faire for halloween. She uses aa bag with flowers that are on fire on it for her candy stash. As for trick or treaters, we know that she puts a tiny bit of her shrooms for the older trick or treaters. She's a hit with teenagers. She tends to use more sour candies because fire.

FCG: Our lil' robit loves halloween. They mainly go as pets for his costume. Unlike his other party members, he uses himself as a candy bag. He uses his chest compartment Glamrock Freddy style. As for trick or treaters, he's the kindest lil' candy giver. He has extra options for anyone with dietary restriction but he does tend to say a little bit about the Changebringer to the trick or treaters tho........ It's not to annoying or noticable tho.

Laudna: Halloween is our girl's TIME TO SHINE! Our favorite living dead girl is a theatre kid, so OF COURSE she goes all out. She mainly goes as "fun scary " characters such as Emily the Corpse Bride and Lydia Deetz. One year, her and Imogen went as Jack and Sally, she was Jack ofc, and it was adorable. She even dressed pate up at Zero. As for trick or treaters, she LOVES talking to the kids. She tells pate to "mind his manners" with the younger kids but if there are older kids/teens, he goes all out. Both the older and younger kids find her delightful.

Imogen: Imogen goes hard for halloween costumes. Sometimes, she does a duo costume with laudna, but sometimes, she does a costume on her own. She uses a pillow case with horses on it as her candy bag. As for trick or treaters, she does the handing out while Laudna does the conversation since child and teenager thoughts are rough.

Ashton: For trick or treating, they just wear normal clothes and just say that they're going as an npc. Honestly, he's mainly going trick or treating to hang out with the Hells and to get candy. Iconic. He also likes to people watch, aka see everyone's costumes, all while subtlety roasting those that didn't get the assignment. As for trick or treaters, he mainly has a bowl with a sign that says something like "Take what you want. Don't take the bowl". His candy bag is also a pillow case.
