I really, really need a verse for Cora (and Regina and Zelena and Rumple) where she chose differently that night, decided to take the risk and make the leap of faith, kept her heart and ran away with Rumple, so Regina and Zelena (because of course they would find her and take her in and Rumple would love her as his own and Zelena would feel so much better about her magic abilities and even the turning green part because she would view that as something that connects her with her father in all but biology) would grow up much happier and absolutely bathed in their parents' affection (Rumple is a big contributer here, of course, but Cora loves her family with passion equal to her power thirst in canon)...

And yes, even fewer people are brave or foolish enough to try and mess with the Dark One these days, because as if the Dark One himself isn't bad enough (he, at least, could let you go... or at least keep you alive, depending on the severity of your misdeed), the Dark Family? his wife? their daughters, especially the elder one?

They'll grind you into dust if you so much as think of laying a finger on the Dark One or one of the other members of their small family.

Malia and Cora would've gotten along so well, both driven by instinct and a deep need to protect those they care about. Trafalgar Law: Verses, Wishlist, Fave Ships, etc.

Heartverse series of events: during the 2-year timeskip, Law crosses paths with Marine!Nami on an island in the Grand Line (the first time they’ve seen each other since he visited her island when he was 11.) A mutual attraction/curiosity upon their reunion leads to a one-night-turned-two stay in a fancy hotel, a jewelry store heist that results in Nami leaving her unfulfilling career behind to join his pirate crew, and an unexpected addition to their lives. Following Law’s appointment as a Shichibukai, the two head back to her home in the East until baby Cora-chan makes her appearance. She’s later left in the care of Nojiko and Bellemere while the two travel to Punk Hazard. After the run-in with the Straw Hats, Nami still ends up joining as their navigator and the two, although married, sail on in pursuit of their individual goals.

Have also been toying with something where Law, possibly in a modern verse or maybe some fantasy/non-OP setting, actually dabbles in trading hearts for a business; i.e. he'll grant a wish but the price is your heart.

Law Wishlist / Ship Stuff:

Opportunities for him to treat/tend to people - scenarios where even if it's not someone he particularly likes, they need advice or medical attention and he's the only one around to provide it.

Middle of the night interactions since Law's sleeping patterns are abysmal. One or both muses waking up from a nightmare? Lots on their mind? Enjoying the quiet?

As much as I love angst and drama and traumatized characters, Law could use some happy times, so I'm always up for exploring what-ifs where any of his lost loved ones survived.

Ships: My favorite Law ship is Law x Nami. I'm always down to write it, but will not force it on any Namis of course. Other ships I'm intrigued by include Law x Zoro, Law x Robin, and Law x Luffy (I generally see Luffy as an aro/ace icon BUT this is literally the only ship I see potential for for him). However, just because something isn't listed here doesn't mean I won't entertain it. I'm basically shipping trash, although I tend not to to ship him with any of his crewmates and will not ship him with Mingo or Cora-san.

TL;DR

Cora is a cousin to Collin Littlesea that is Leah's age. She and Leah have been close friends basically since they were in diapers. Despite Cora being there for Leah through Sam's random disappearance and the few weeks afterward before he broke up with her and started dating Emily, Leah still joined Sam's group shortly after her father's death. This left Cora confused and hurt. Leah didn't have to cut her off because Cora had resolved to stop talking to her friend altogether. She can be rather cold to the shifters and Leah herself when she happens upon them. After graduating high school, Cora has her eyes set on a cosmetology degree.

FULL BIO

Cora Littlesea was born on January 4, 1986 to parents Nick and Elaine Littlesea in La Push, Washington. Complications of Cora's birth had left her mother infertile, so she was an only child. This didn't bother Cora too much, but rather pushed her to be more social than she would have been otherwise. Her family wasn't connected directly to the tribal council for a few generations on either side, but Cora was often babysat by any number of the families in town as her parents struggled to make ends meet. This led her to become fast friends with Leah Clearwater for about as long as she could remember.

Like many on the reservation, a lot of Cora's time was spent fishing, hiking, or on the beach; however, she turned her childhood love of making jewelry into a more sustainable hobby as she had gotten older. She sold off her pieces to make some money for herself to buy things she wanted that weren't necessities, not wanting to burden her parents that had struggled for a lot of her early childhood to make ends meet. On any given Friday night, it would be more likely to find Cora over at the Clearwater home, gossiping and talking about future plans and dreams with Leah.

Life seemed pretty good, until Leah's boyfriend Sam Uley mysteriously disappeared for two weeks during their junior year. Cora tried to be there for her friend as much as she could without completely upsetting her parents. She did skip a couple days of school to help Leah look for him in areas that the quickly dissolving search party did not. Most assumed that he had been a victim of an animal attack or had run off like his father. While Cora had started to agree with them as the days turned to weeks, she remained the hopeful friend at Leah's side.

When Sam did return, it was clear that a lot had changed. He was more muscular and Leah claimed his skin was always warm to the touch and that he seemed extra cautious around her. Not too long after he returned, Paul Lahote and Jared Cameron also joined him and the three were often seen in the forest or jumping off high cliffs. Cora staunchly defended them to others that were quick to spread rumors that they were on drugs or starting a cult and was astonished that their community would turn on them so quickly.

However, any defense of Sam from Cora quickly evaporated when Leah burst into her house crying to the point that she was nearly dry heaving. The heartbreak laced in Leah's explanation of what had happened broke her own heart. She held her friend and tried to soothe her by saying that she had to have been imagining things when she said that Sam had started to look at her cousin Emily from the Makah reservation the moment he met her. Cora wanted to believe that Sam had only broken up with Leah because he wanted to keep her out of whatever was going on with him.

This was proven wrong pretty quickly when not too long afterward it was blatantly obvious to everyone that Emily and Sam were dating and moved in with each other almost immediately after that. Enraged, Cora believed this was a clear sign they had been having an affair while he was still with Leah. Maybe that was where he was for those two weeks. As their friend circle began to fall off from Leah's changed personality and inability to let the Sam thing go, Cora remained by her side and promised her that upon graduation the two of them would get out of La Push for a while.

Things took another turn when Harry Clearwater died of a heart attack. Cora tried to be there for her friend but it became pretty clear that Leah had started to hide things from her as well and like Leah had mentioned about Sam previously, Leah's skin was warm to the touch when Cora hugged her at Harry's funeral. Angrily, she tried to kick Sam Uley out of the house when he had immediately started staying at the Clearwaters from the moment that Harry died. This was the start of Leah sometimes actually sticking up for Sam.

After this, Leah and her little brother Seth had joined Sam's group to round it out to 8 members so far. It was at this point that Cora stopped trying with Leah. She was always gone, hardly ever in school, and didn't really seem all that interested in talking to her. She tried to understand that Leah was hurting from losing her father so suddenly and while she was still so young, but her compassion could only stretch so thin. After this, she was rather abrasive toward other members of the pack when she ran into them, other than Seth whom was always remained so kind.

Upon graduation, Cora left La Push like she and Leah had planned on, for Seattle. With the help of some scholarships and some money she had saved up from working at the gift shop in La Push, she was able to attend Evergreen Beauty College in North Seattle. Upon getting her cosmetology degree, she returned home and got a job at a hair salon in Forks with hopes of opening up one of her own. Despite the time that has passed, she still is very standoffish toward most of the guys in the pack.

ooc; so, i have an idea for a plot that i’d really love to do! (please know that this, for now, is a mutuals only wishlist idea!!!) 

picture this: beacon hills feels like another regular day, yet something feels a bit off and derek isn’t sure just what. but when he heads to the burnt down Hale home, he finds the home was never burnt at all. in fact, his family is all alive and well, parents, siblings and all. it can be sort of either, a) like a dream sequence where at the end of the plot, he wakes up and it was for nothing. or b) a new villain has come to town and cast a mystical spell amongst them all, in which people saw what they wanted to see/what they desired so. for derek, that would be to see his family once more, to see his parents and his home not destroyed. it could be a platonic plot, maybe with a cora or peter, or even another person who he’s close to or has a bond with. or, we can use a shippy setting like say a) stiles sees his mother again and he’s reunited with her, same as derek and his family. (if any sterek shippers out there wanted to try it!) , b) anyone else who would enjoy seeing their character in a setting with derek like such. (female or male, doesn’t matter. we can write up a history for characters if necessary and plot out minor things along the way?). bonus points if derek sees his pack members with his family; maybe boyd and erica are having dinner with the hale’s in the dream/spell sequence of the thread. boyd could’ve come home from service and erica could’ve been derek’s right hand beta at some point. extra points if it is done in a shippy way and derek and his partner are telling his family that they’re going to get married and want to announce it to them.
