The circumstances for this to happen might be a little bit of a stretch but Do you think there’s a world out there where Hunter gets REALLY accusatory about Camila wanting Luz to see a doctor to the point that Camila would have to say like “Hey, I’m sorry for being pushy. This is a bit of a sore subject for me. My husband passed away from an illness he had been fighting for a while. We didn’t catch it fast enough to get the treatment he needed,” and Hunter immediately panics about “Does Luz have it? Whatever made your husband sick, Does Luz Have It???”

i've always imagined that manny died of cancer, simply because i Think that's the most common type of long-term illness that kills people in their 30s/40s..... camila explaining that no, she doesn't think luz is sick Right Now, but cancer can run in families so it's important to see a doctor regularly....

and if i'm gonna be extremely self-indulgent, i could also see manny having passed from some kind of autoimmune disease, since that's the other big category of Thing That Kills You that frequently targets younger people. and that tends to have an even more immediate and pressing genetic component than cancer. i won't say it's fully AU canon, bc i think if it WAS, then camila would be even more worried about luz's neurological health than she already is, but...... food 4 me.

as for the logistics of camila getting luz to a doctor.... YEAH. i was thinking about how one of the Biggest complications is that camila can't, like, feasibly say this is luz. at least without sparking a million questions. if she had any outside help with getting vee a legal identity then i imagine she'd turn to them for resources.... because good god. The Complication.

Gotham and New York are literally border to border, so Peter lives in Gotham, but works and does vigilante work in NYC, because he doesn't want to get in trouble with the bats and there's like nine of them in the city at all times, while there's not that much heroes in NYC and once a new yorker, always a new yorker.

the thing is, since he doesn't actually spend that much time on Gotham's side, only there because the rent is cheap, he's kinda out of the loop of who's dangerous and who's not.

so when he starts to become friends/flirt with Red Hood's second in command, he has no idea whatsoever and his neighbors are always like "do you really think Jason is a good partner/company for you?"

He's always sooo confused, because what's wrong with Jason? He's a cute guy that likes to read classics, is getting his degree in medicine, likes to hold Peter's waist/use his shoulders as arm support, yes, he smells like gunpowder and blood under his body wash and lotion, but almost everyone in Gotham does! Jason even sends Peter homemade pastries every week, he's dreamy!

so the only conclusion Peter can come up with is that his neighbors are homophobic

watching Common Law (2012) is just like oh my god, the shootouts in crowded areas, the property destruction (and somehow they are the best team on the force). they fight they argue they laugh, they are in couples therapy. they are so pretty. we are supposed to think they are both super straight. everyone in the show thinks they are fucking or should fuck. nothing has ever hugged an ass tighter than wes's suit hugs his. they have history. they have chemistry. wes is a prissy delicate looking divorced man who can't move on. travis has never met a woman he doesn't want to sleep with, but can't do relationships. together, they fight crime. how will los angeles survive them.

OOOOHH. To be honest, I can't talk much that about the character this song represents because she's still in the works! Originally derived from a verse mixing Sleep Token's work and Cyberpunk, I've adapted Nyx's XIV verse as being a citizen of Allag put to manufactured sleep for an untold millennia because her connection to one of their primals was too dangerous to be allowed out. When the constructs of Azys Lla began to faulted, she was expelled from her pod to inherit a world that irrevocably changed in her absence. When my pal and I work out the logistics (namely, I'm on break and better medicated), I can probably talk about her more. But, even from that little bit, I'm sure you can get an idea of why this song is important to her characterisation.
