#companions' romance options

so, i have an intended romance list for future BG3 playthroughs, depending on MC :

Maris (current Tav) - During the adventure, everyone that will make a pass at him (I love you you beautiful poly mod). Post finale, Astarion (a boy has to choose ultimately and, no matter all the wild experimentations during their adventure, M is still a young noble from an exclusively elven community with a penchant for naughtiness. I am thinking that if Astarion chose to ascend he would gladly be his bitch for life but would not want to become a vampire, not even a full-fledged one. If A remained a spawn he would still choose him over everyone else, because I think over everyone else A is the one most needing of love and companionship)

Origin Astarion - Gale (the latter being sufficiently power-hungry and flexible when it comes to using power, though i wonder, would that affair work if you massacred the druid grove to get better access to the absolute cult? bc no matter what, Gale does not like cruelty or hurting innocents. As regards secondary lovers like Halsin or Minthara, I'd think A would have to have overcome a lot of his personal issues to be confident in such a choice. Or to not have overcome any of them and be convinced that his only worth to others is through sex)

Origin Karlach - Astarion (she seems to like bad boys even when she knows she can't trust them and she says herself she would totally bang him to the feywild and back; besides I want to see the stuff I read about this particular romance, the implications of not being able to use sex as manipulation tool on A's behalf are fascinating)

Origin Shadowheart - Karlach (they flirt with each other all the time and SH's VA is adamant that SH has a major crush on K)

Origin Lae'zel - nobody or Karlach (I can well see her staying single, but if she were to be attracted to one of them I think it would be K - she admires K's prowess in battle, as well as her live in the moment attitude due to the infernal engine time bomb)

Origin Wyll - Lae'zel (he tries to flirt with her almost from the start; the boy is prone to getting himself involved with dangerous, strong females and I think he is fascinated by how different and self-contained L appears to be; i can well see him submitting to L's passion and at the same time wishing to be her fairytale prince)

Origin Gale - I honestly can't decide, though I think the boy who summoned a tressim because his parents wouldn't get him a cat would instantly be drawn to the actual cat in the group and we all know by now who that is

Dark Urge - I'd hands down choose A because admittedly the dynamic between them from everything I've seen is incredible. My Durge would be a Dandelion type bard with little to no combat ability who would be torn against fighting the darkness inside and giving in to it for the shere exhilaration of the slaughter and sense of freedom it would offer (nvm that it would be the most constraining thing to accept (this one might also go both ways with A's choices: on the one hand durge might support or even push A towards ascendance for fear of themselves and a need to be controlled and used for better or for worse, or the two might literally strive towards redemption - and real freedom - together)

Sketch dump! I havent done one of those in a while. These are all from June-July while I was on vacation.

First we have Layal! The delightful Mother of Monsters, aka the Ghost Zone’s most evil mama bear AND my take on a fem!danyal dan! I like to imagine she could pummel Dan into the ground, but that stands true for any and all of my au Dans. Bc i am INCREDIBLY biased.

She mostly lives on her island in the Ghost Zone, taking in monsters of the Infinite Realms of all kind and raising them as her own. Surprisingly enough, she does genuinely love her children. That’s about where her love ends. She stole the minotaur, his name is Asterion.

Then we have Daini-Yel! He’s from an au i’ve never actually talked about on here. He’s literally just Danny for an Epic!-inspired au. He's an unknown entity in the newly released open-adventure, odyssesy-inspired game "Nautilus", and he is not a part of the game's code :). He showed up three months after the game's initial launch, and was discovered during a live when a streamer was on their way to fight a boss much similar to Circe and the streamer accidentally took a detour and found his pathway (of which did not previously exist).

He's very friendly! And offers you, the Captain, a strange liquid with even stranger powers called "Ektolai", in order to help you fight Circe. His whole vibe and creation is literally just the song "Wouldn't You Like" from Epic. If you run into him enough times at the start of the game, you can convince him to join you on your adventure as part of the crew. He's a powerful ally and a very good friend, despite his strange awareness of the world around him...

Oh, but be warned... just like the rest of your companions, your actions have consequences and what you do affects their opinion of you. Daini is no different! Your close allies can quickly become enemies.

I KNEW IT ALL ALONG SINCE THE FLIRTING AT THE TIEFLING PARTY IN EARLY ACCESS AND THEN HOW RELIEVED THEY WERE TO REUNITE AT LAST LIGHT INN AND HOW ALFIRA WOULDN’T STOP WORRYING AND PINING OVER LAKRISSA AND ALL THE GIGGLING AND SO MANY MORE LITTLE THINGS

i went past elfsong tavern again after the first time and i couldn’t find lakrissa inside so i was like “what if she’s on the roof watching alfira play” AND SHE WAS. I WAS RIGHT. then i told them they’re very cute together and lakrissa was like “right? i keep telling her that” and alfira got all shy and then after that they were talking about how rent is due which means THEY LIVE TOGETHER. HOW CUTE IS THAT MAN I LOVE THEM

Maybe it's because I'm tipsy, but Lae'zel is getting more and more likeable by the minute (she just told a terrified Tiefling to bow before her and it was funny!).

In my experience Githyanki are pretty much always written to be assholes, and Lae'zel is no exception, but she has such good reasons to be furious 24/7. Especially given the history between Gith and Illithids, the whole tadpole parasite situation must be the worst she could imagine happening to her and I understand her.

Yas girl, be angry, be upset when characters don't take the situation serious enough, kick some ass!
