Rainbow Fiction – Apathy
The Beatify of Suffering // Series: Mack and the Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day(s) // Warnings: implied last abuse, captivity, implied torture
It was carved into her, a skill she learned in order to survive. It has taken years, and it became easy to slip into this odd state of apathy. Mack didn’t like, but accepted it. Specially if it meant she could keep herself from freaking out.
It was just another Monday, another kidnapping, another torture for information she didn’t have.
The chains rattled, the shackles felt heavy, and she stayed silent. Even if the cold sipped into her bones. A perfect little weapon, better at keeping her mouth shut than any of them could handle.
Just yet another ordinary day.

Today's Style is: Collage
Borrow the canon (setting or characters) of someone you know; be sure to ask first! This is meant for interaction between RainbowFic members, but you can collaborate with any creators you know.
We have a post on the RainbowLounge Dreamwidth where you can talk about your canon to get others inspired.
Styles are additional themes, genres, and media to use as inspiration.

Hey writer friends, if you have a Dreamwidth, there is this original writing community called RainbowFics that I think everyone should check out.
They give lists of writing prompts based on colors/themes, have monthly challenges, and could use some love and support.

So, apparently you guys do want me to link my writing. This project has honestly been keeping me sane through the whole process of futile job-hunting and the depressing number of AI jobs, etc., I hope if you also enjoy reading it it can maybe help keep us all sane through the current political crisis as well.
I have about 75% of the first part of this at least written and ready to be polished, and I'm going to try to post it in order and fill in the gaps as I go. I'd love to hear any feedback/thoughts, etc. you guys have! I am not a professional writer and this is just a hobby, but I would still definitely welcome any criticism you have.
This is associated with the QuCheanya conlang I've been posting about, and is part of the same world as the T'arse worldbuilding I posted before as well. The major themes are time travel, fantasy organized religion and fantasy theology, asexuality and sex-repulsion, and there's also a bit about fantasy grad school, autism, and some Jewish references/themes. There will eventually be an ace lesbian romance, but this doesn't really take off until the second part, which is not really written yet.
The tech level is pretty much "time-travel-induced schizo tech" which somehow seems to require more research than just sticking to one coherent tech level. The viewpoint characters are most used to variously medieval and age of sail tech levels, but there are non-viewpoint characters from other backgrounds.
The very first section is posted here:
If you've read the QuCheanya grammar document I posted before, there is not a ton of new worldbuilding in this one, but there is additional setting establishment.
I've just about given up trying to divide this into chapters, although the first part at least is loosely subdivided into sections. The Dreamwidth community is about writing based on prompts, so I am going to divide things up based on how the prompts match up, with most postings just being a single scene (but some of these single scenes are still over 4000 words long). Once I have a few posts up, I'll make a masterlist of links to everything in chronological order on my main Dreamwidth journal, and link that here, too.

If I can self-promo, I think my community JustCreate is pretty great! It's a low-key comm for encouraging creative stuff like writing, coding, art, crafts, etc; and non-creative stuff like laundry and vacuuming. We have weekly check-ins for encouragement.
If you like to write or draw, I also recommend AllBingo as a great source of prompts. If you do original fiction RainbowFic is picking up (I'm also running it's tumblr @rainbowfic )
FollowFriday is great to get recommendations
Disjointed Dreamwidth Tips (written by someone who wasn’t on LJ)
So as always when Tumblr decides to break its own gear, people are contemplating Dreamwidth. One thing I don’t really see much are recs on what to do after you’ve figured out how to use the site for yourself and are in that time where your feed is empty and you are discouraged from screaming into the void. I was also never on LJ, and for a long time after getting a Journal I didn’t use it because my feed was dead, and I wasn’t sure what I was supposed to do.
Some general tips past the obvious to get started
When making your journal, you should fill out your profile and interests, but what I find way more useful is to have a pinned post. You can either actually pin it on your journal or just set the date to some ridiculous date in the future, and it’ll stay on the top. On that pinned post go your interests and maybe your posting habits (are you doing regular updates or rapid-fire shitposting whenever you feel like it? Are you often gone for a while and answer slowly?). It’s also the place to put stuff about how you handle privacy, like ‘If you want to be added to my nsfw filter, shoot me a message here’.
A lot of people like and use the tumblr anon-ask function, and dw doesn’t really have that. So here’s an idea on how to set up something similar: Make a dedicated pinned/predated post, put in the post that it is your ask post, how to use it, what kind of anons you aren’t comfy with maybe. Set the comment function to ‘screen all comments’ or ‘screen anon only’. This gives people a way to leave you anon messages only you can see and copy over into a post. You can turn it off at any time by editing the post’s comment (not comment screening!) setting to say Disabled. I haven’t actually tried setting this up myself, but it should work. People who don’t have a dreamwidth account can message you this way, too.
People who like anon prompts might also be advised to go look for kinkmemes for their fandoms. A kinkmeme is a community or journal that lets people post and fill prompts anonymously. Contrary to what the name suggests, in a lot of them neither prompts nor fills must be sexual nor even romantic (thought they often are, so go browsing on your own risk). Requests are all anonymous, fills can be posted anonymously directly on the com, or on anon on ao3, or deanon’d on ao3, or any combination thereof.
So, you’re lonely on Dreamwidth
Dreamwidth has no reblogs and no algorithm, so there’s nothing to push stuff at you and help you find new friends. You’ve got to go looking for them, and invite them over to your place, too. Basically, think of tumblr as one giant, never-ending, really loud cocktail party – it’s easy to drift around and find a group to stand with, and you don’t even have to talk to have fun. Dreamwidth is more like bouncing from friend’s place to friend’s place for tea and gossip, or having a nice wine and dinner with The Squad or spending all night smoking and chatting on the balcony or something like that. Fewer people, slower conversations, more effort, more payoff. That doesn’t mean you can’t rapid-fire shitpost over there, people absolutely still do that. But keep that comparison in mind.
Type in an interest in the search and look for active people who also have that interest tagged. Look for communities with that interest. Look for people you vibe with in the communities you share. You can see everyone subscribed to a specific com in the com’s profile, and you can see people’s mutuals in their profiles, too.
A lot of stuff doesn’t show up in the interests tho. A great way to find people on Dreamwidth are friending memes. A friending meme is a post in a community or on a personal journal where people post little bios with personality, interests, posting habits etc. in the comments, and then go browsing for other people to chat with and follow. I don’t know if there’s any active right now, but participating in those does a lot ot liven up your dash and find people, especially people who want to be found and are actively looking for new people, too! There’s one at the end of Snowflake every year.
Etiquette – Likes
One thing that throws people off about switching from Web 2.0 to DW is that there’s no likes. I’ve found that posting a <3 comment is totally fine with many people tho.
Etiquette – Linkspamming
No reblogs means Linkspam is the name of the day. Linkspam is absolutely okay on Dreamwidth! I know it feels weird! Just do it! Websites like tumblr constantly discourage us from linking off-site or even to other stuff on themselves – Dreamwidth is not like that! ‘One/three/six interesting articles I read this week’, with a link and a sentence or two are a valid post, and people will chat with you about them in the comments. Posting a rec-post on your own journal and then just dropping a Post that’s like ‘I rec’ed seven Character X/Character Y fics over here’ in a relevant community is valid. To embed a link, copy over this
<a href=“Link”>Text</a>
and replace the Link part with your link, and the Text part with what you want it to say. Go ahead, spam away!
Posting images
Honestly the best way is to embed them imo. Host somewhere else (Imgur, or your Insta, for example), and then use this code
<img src=“IMAGE URL” alt=“ALT TEXT”>
To make dreamwidth display them. If you want them centred, use
<center><img src=“IMAGE URL” alt=“ALT TEXT”></center>
When you want to show off other people’s images, consider just posting a link, thought. Embedding is not like reposting (if the source is deleted, the embed won’t load anymore), but it looks like reposting, and a lot of people don’t like that.
Other HTML
Ironically, I cannot link you to any, or tumblr will nuke this post, because tumblr sucks. Copy “html basics for dreamwidth” into your search engine of choice and you should find several journal entries that are just that, though! HTML is not as scary as it looks, and the Rich Text Editor also works fine.
Some communities to fill your feed, let you find stuff and get to know people:
These are obviously centred around stuff i like, but they are also pretty central and active in my experience.
fandomcalender and fandom_on_dw – People advertise new/restarted/repeating communities, fests, exchanges and such here! Great place to find stuff you want to participate in or just keep an eye on.
snowflake_challenge is running this year – it’s a one-month challenge were you get a blogging prompt every other day for all of January, so it starts in only a few days! Prompts are something like ‘write or update your bio’ or ‘what was your first fandom? Tell us!’ or ‘create something for the prompt X’. You fulfill the prompt and post about it on your dw and in the comments of the prompt post. You can always catch up later if you get busy and you’re always free to just drop a day. Chatting on the prompt-posts and going to others’ journals to comment is considered good form. Gives you ideas to use your journal, lets you connect with others and generally get a start at Dreamwidth. sunshine_challenge does the same in the summer.
fictional_friends – A community specifically to let you be a Dreamwidth Noob among other people! Great place to ask embarrassing questions about where to find what button.
fancake and recthething are pretty active multifandom recing communities. Fancake has a theme each month, and recs are one fic per post, only finished fics, no self-recs. Recthething is less structured, for making posts directly in the com or linking to rec posts on your journal, and they also have a weekly catch-all post every Thursday for making recs in the comments. Asking for recs is specifically allowed here.
fandom_icons is a community for people to post links to their icon uploads, with a good tagging system. Just go look for some nice stuff for your fandom and remember to credit the artist!
You can find any of these communities (and also other people’s journals) by setting the drop-down menu by the search to ‘Site and Account’ and typing them out like that, or by dumping them into the search engine of your choice with ‘dreamwidth’ at the end. Unironic tip, that one, dreamwidth search is Not Great for finding specific people or coms sometimes.

Coming Attractions!
A day late, but ah well...
As usual, we’ll go ahead and do an Open Question Night. Which basically means that, while my ask box is always open, tonight I’ll be keeping an eye on it and answering things as they come in. Any fandom or work I’ve talked about here (or posted on AO3) is fair game, as are general questions about writing, etc. I do accept prompts, but I am. Not very good at filling them in a timely manner unless they Immediately spark something, lol.
So, yeah, what’s on your mind?
Also, since I don’t think I have for a couple months, plug for my Discord server! It’s pretty quiet, mostly intended to be a slightly more interactive extension of this space, but you’re welcome to check it out!
Anyway, the usual Coming Attractions details are behind the cut!
PodTogether 2021:
I participated in this challenge for the first time this year, and it was a whole lot of fun! Of Other Suns is a SW/AtLA crossover, and I think it turned out pretty well! My reader/podficcer and I worked pretty closely together during the initial brainstorming process, working out what we wanted to do, and also bounced off one another during the whole editing/finalizing process. There’s a lot that I didn’t end up putting into the fic (because time and length; I am a. Uh. Very wordy writer; the aim was for 6-12k words, we ended up with nearly 15k as it is...), so I might poke more at this specific AU, or crossovers linking up at a different time (either a different point in the SW canon, or in the AtLA canon, or both). I...definitely have extensive headcanons for SW characters as benders of various elements (or nonbenders), and there are at least two Force-sensitive AtLA characters who were outside the scope of the crossover.
Anyway, if you want to check it out...click this link XD (and definitely listen to the podfic too!!! It’s really great)
Precipice:
So, between the final push on PodTogether and some origfic stuff I got done, I...did not get anything finished and posted for this, alas. But! I am saying it here in the hopes that doing so publicly will for once get me to actually stick to a deadline, which is that I will get either the first Protectors chapter or the next Preludes one-shot (or both!) up by this Sunday, September 12. The Protectors chapter will be mostly scene-setting, establishing where various characters are when we open, six years after we last saw our heroes. The Preludes segment will involved Hondo contacting Obi-Wan (and Anakin, who’s with him when he gets the call) about something Relevant To Their Interests.
I will for sure get that Prelude out this month, and hopefully at least two Protectors chapters, but we’ll see how things go at work and how much brain that takes, which is always a factor...anyway, with any luck, I’ll start establishing a Rhythm. I don’t think I’ll be doing weekly updates, the way I did for the first few arcs of Precipice (in part because there are some other longform projects I intend to start putting out and if I am going to do Weekly Fic Posts, I’ll probably alternate), but we’ll see how things go.
AtLA Fic:
Again, I didn’t finish what I wanted to (other than the aforementioned crossover for PodTogether), but I have been working on stuff in the background and, while I’m not going to commit to a Specific Deadline like I am for Precipice, I do plan to post at least the opening chapter of the still-untitled Avatar Zuko AU I’ve been working on this month, so watch this space!
Other Fic Projects:
I’m poking around at what to do for next years SWBB (if only because my wordcounts have been Steadily Increasing and I’d like to get a head start in anticipation of that happening again this year, lol). Still considering exactly what to do, whether I pour all my focus into OFLAM, like I consider every year, or see if I can work up Bail Unfucks the Timeline or another half-plotted AU I have in the back of my head, or go with a different prompt/storyline that occurs to me at some point between now and then, but I’m starting to Actively Ponder things.
I do have that BSG1 crossover outline in the works, I swear XD I’ve got...uh...maybe half to two thirds of the first third of the overall storyline written up? XD It’s a. Uh. Long one. I might go ahead and release it in three parts, just for length/convenience, and because it does more or less have three distinct sections (the initial contact/New Caprica fallout and establishment of the Haven settlement which makes sense in context; the second contact/algae planet; and then an adventure on a resurrection ship to retrieve a Specific Boxed Five and possibly walk away with Ellen because that would just ruin Cavil’s day and I do so love to ruin Cavil’s day, lol). ...I’m going to go ahead and post a preview snippet at the bottom of this post, as Motivation XD
I think that’s all the fanfic stuff I have specific updates for. There’s generally always stuff noodling around in my brain (lately, for Star Wars, AtLA, BSG, or some combination of the three), it’s just how much of it materializes, lol.
At some point, I plan to revisit some BSG epics I had going on (Serenissima; rewriting For Sorrow Sung or doing a slightly different storlyine with the same concept; The Other Battlestar; a few others), but no concrete plans as of yet.
I also kind of want to explore a far-past AtLA setting I designed for a challenge community way back? But I’m not sure if that would work better as an original work with the serial numbers filed off, if I could figure out how I wanted to do that (I have done it before, as I’ll talk about below, but this concept, while not directly involving any characters from Avatar canon as it’s set 2000 years prior to Sozin’s reign, does to an extent lean on the Avatar specifically as a concept, in a way that the other fic I did this with did not).
Original Fic:
Due to a challenge on rainbowfic, I actually got. Quite a bit written? Most of it was not super plot-relevant, but I dropped some Hints about a character in Lux and I got to play in some heads I don’t very often. I might go back to the Regency AU at some point, and there’s a specific reveal I want to write up for a secondary character in The Farglass Cycle, but I haven’t quite figured out how to structure that one, so we’ll see how it goes.
Had an interesting discussion the other day about the way original fiction sometimes starts as fanfic with the serial numbers filed off and...well, a lot of my original stuff starts that way? Or has some roots there, anyway.
Lux doesn’t quite as much, but I definitely ported in at least two characters who started as fanfic characters (leaving aside that this is, y’know, The Apocalypse IN SPACE so, like. Various fandoms that deal with that probably influenced things, plus several key players are Public Domain Characters sooooo), plus some of the way the world is constructed draws on the Native Tongue trilogy and I flat-out stole a concept from Queen of the Damned, though the way it works in this world is different (also, to be fair, I think I’ve seen it in other places, too; but I personally got the idea from there).
The Farglass Cycle and Untitled Intrigues Story, however, straight-up started as fanfic concepts. And I don’t think it’s obvious unless I point out what the source materials were? Farglass, in particular (it’s the AtLA fic I mentioned earlier), because it started as an alternate future and then the map and magic system got reworked, plus the Avatar themself wasn’t even super involved in the original fic context, and while certain characters are very loosely based on AtLA characters, by now they’ve been so altered by the setting that it’s...I used the same archetypes, if that makes sense?
And then Untitled Intrigues Story started as a fusion between two wildly different fandoms, and while one character is a pretty clear expy if you know where he comes from, and another character kept the same actress in my head, I don’t think it’s very clear other than that.
...anyway, not sure where I’m going with that, other than it’s been in my head lately, lol.
...I think that about covers it! What about you guys? What are you all working on? Slash any questions, etc.?
Teaser for BSG1 AU outline, as promised:
So, anyway, SG-1 is prepared for rain and mud and a survivable-but-kinda-unpleasant environment. They’re also prepared for the usual shenanigans--Goa’uld, cranky local politics, weird alien tech that Daniel really should know better than to touch but sends him into another dimension anyway...
Just. Y’know. A normal mission.
They’re...not quite prepared for what they actually find when they step through.
Which is a very tense and now slightly Confused crowd of people, and a firing squad made up of very large killer robots, with a teenage girl as their target.
(One of the large killer robots is. Uh. Well. Half a large killer robot now; that particular Centurion was in the wrong place at the wrong time and got kawooshed in the face. As one does.)
(Said Centurion absolutely wins the ‘Weirdest Death’ pool for the week in Download City, because that is clearly a thing that exists because it entertains me)
There’s a beat where everyone just stares at everyone else, trying to figure out what the hell is going on.
The wormhole disengages.
Daniel takes half a step forward, opens his mouth to start the ‘we are peaceful explorers from Earth and y’all seem to be having a Moment here, sorry for interrupting, but, uh...’
And then the moment end and absolute chaos erupts.

Fic writer interview
I was tagged by @captain-aralias to do this, so here I am:
Name: thisbluespirit. I previously went by lost_spook and also a very long time ago as vvj5. (You don’t get my real name, because unfortunately, it’s comparatively uncommon & too easy to find online).
Fandoms: I’m very multi-fannish. I like the challenge of writing for different fandoms and getting the tone right and so on, and I also love exchanges, which often leads to writing unexpected gifts and treats when somebody’s prompt bites me hard. As a result, I have quite a ridiculous number of fandoms, but my main ones are probably Doctor Who, Sapphire & Steel, Blake’s 7, Once Upon A Time, Spooks, The Librarians, Adam Adamant Lives! and a lot of very old British TV I love that few others do, like The Shadow of the Tower, the 1968 Dracula, Enemy at the Door, The Power Game and Public Eye and so on. Recently I fell into the Star Wars Prequels fandom, which was a bit scary but very nice (it’s generally a friendly & very pretty corner of the GFFA) and I definitely want to write some more things for it, and not just Obidala.
Where you post: My fic? To AO3, and before that (when I was much more mono-fannish) the Doctor Who archive, A Teaspoon and an Open Mind (which we refer to as “Teaspoon” - something that confuses non-DW people). I once posted three non-DW works to ff.net, which I found so difficult and awkward, I never tried it again, especially not after it later on ate my scene breaks. (ff.net’s war against scene breaks is apparently eternal and baffling). Although I used LJ a lot (it was my primary fannish platform for years, and Dreamwidth still is), I was on it for the social and community aspect and find it strange to think of archiving fic there. I only posted it there if it was for a particular comm or meme or challenge being run there.
Most popular one-shot: By kudos, this is my Yuletide treat where Miss Marple is a genius loci, and by hits, this is my flash ficlet where Miss Marple dusts Dracula. I write hardly any Miss Marple, but when I die, she’ll be on my fannish tombstone and, at the end of the day, that’s probably a nice way to be remembered!
Most popular multi-chapter: This is impossible to say. Since I’ve been so ill (for ten years now, much as I hate to say that aloud), I’ve written about 3 multi-chapter works, and only one of them was posted in progress, the others were posted complete. The rest are very old and are either still only on Teaspoon, or I posted them to AO3 but backdated them, so these just aren’t comparable things. None of them, being rare fandoms or in OW or backdated Doctor Who works, are popular in any case. The one with the most kudos is a Yuletide fic, The Poison Tree, for Dracula (1968).
Fic you were nervous to post: Lots of them! The most nerve-wracking are gifts for exchanges, especially if they were serious or shippy, where I have to wait to find out if the recip liked them. If I’ve written something fun and humorous I tend to know instinctively if it works or not, but when it’s serious, I just feel... terribly stupid and exposed until that comment from the recip, or someone at least, comes at last!
I think, particularly, some of the historical ones and the two Shakespeare ones, understandably, because it would be so easy to go out on a limb and just make a fool of yourself falling off: i love the rose both red and white, (sotT/15th C) his wonders to perform (even though it wasn’t for an exchange- it was a bit outside my usual and I’m still not sure if it really worked) (15th C RPF); movements of the mind (Twelfth Night) and Vigil (Measure For Measure). The last two proved quite popular-for-Yuletide & I had some of my nicest comments ever on both, though, so obviously I did something right! \o/
How do you choose your titles? Well, either something comes, or I find a poem or song or proverbs quote or I just go dammit and come up with something simple. Remix is easier because you play on the original fic’s title, the fic and your fic, and that always seems to work.
I would worry about this, but I posted a whole bunch of meme fic that I just called “AU Meme: [Character’s Name]” and the summary for each one is “10 AU scenarios for [character] in a Dreamwidth meme” and people read those more than plenty of the others, which does kind of put the whole thing into slightly ironic perspective.
Do you outline? If it’s a long fic, to a certain extent, but only a few notes, or jotting down the ending and so on. With shorter pieces (which most of mine are), less so, but usually the same things - this scene, or the ending or this line, or a research note or two where needed.
Complete: Number of completed works? 596 on AO3 (599 on my dash, but three are fanvids), but there are more at Teaspoon that I’ve never transferred over.
Do you take prompts? I write nothing else these days, one way or another, most of the time - bingo squares, random generators, prompt tables, fests, exchanges, writing memes. I just don’t take them generally, because I am still working on my last writing meme... from April (among other things). But, yes. I love prompts.
In progress: 0. Well, no, actually, I tell a lie, there is one abandoned WIP on Teaspoon, which I started just before I became so ill, a Fifth Doctor crossover with the William Monk & Hester crime series. Since it is abandoned, though, I don’t think it counts.
Coming soon: My Yule-fic. Hopefully the last two from the AU Meme before the year is out, maybe a long origfic for Rainbowfic/genprompt_bingo I’ve been working on for ages, which is still in the editing stage, and I’ve a Good Omens/Doctor Who crossover in my notebook that I want to type up soon. (I promised astrogirl on Dreamwidth I would.)
Tagging: whoever would like to do this and hasn’t been tagged yet - @allegoriesinmediasres @pers-books @human-nxture @luthienebonyx @scarletmanuka @maryellencarter & whoever wants to, feel tagged! And if you’ve been tagged and you don’t want to, that’s okay, you’re excused.

The past is a road where the bus doesn't run, and there's no station called "Yesterday." 12. Some little things get broken, and a little means a lot. 13. Guard your eggshell heart, for the moon tells lies. 14. Do you follow it because it's true, or just because you must? 15. A moment and my simple, careless plans were all unmade. 16. There’s no way to run or hide when the thing you fear’s inside. 17. I think you'll find the line is fine between the saint and sinner. 18. All I long for is to roam -- must this be my only home? 19. I am nothing you should trust. 20. Don't think I've ever been betrayed, for that was never true. 21. While he just might tell you stories, he won't ever tell you lies. 22. Don't be chosen; make the choice to choose. 23. There are laws we must obey, certain ways this story goes. 24. I can’t promise to obey you, I can’t swear I won’t betray you. 25. No one gets to tell me if I've lost or if I've won. 26. Though I’m somewhere off the beaten track, that’s no guarantee that I won’t come back. 27. I was a little more than they expected. 28. It’s a shot of ‘dumb idea’ with a ‘bad plan’ chaser. 29. I find relationships so often are an awful bore. 30. Be wicked and lovely and don't live in fear.

What's all this then?
RainbowFic is a community on Dreamwidth meant to encourage original fiction (and related art, crafts, etc) using prompt lists and other challenges. Our theme is colors as the names of our prompt lists, and we have over 400 lists at Rainbowlists, along with 'supplies' and 'styles' for further inspiration.
We also have the RainbowLounge as a place to chat, post games and other challenges, and to ask questions. And we have an A03 collection and a discord, which are linked there.
We'll be posting random lists, supplies, and styles here for you to use, as well as reblogging prompts and inspiration. (We'd prefer if you joined RainbowFic and posted there, but Tumblr is a free website - if you want to use them for fanfic, for original fic only posted here, or for something not at all related to fiction, that's your right)
If you have a post you want to share, whether a prompt fill or something to use as a prompt, tag us
Original prompts are randomly numbered (sometimes in hexadecimal) because I shuffle the queue to keep a nice mix.
I try to keep the posts tagged with the supply or style they'll fill (although I don't manage to do it for all reblogs):
modeling clay for image prompts or prompts of 1-5 words
oil for prompts of 5 words to a sentence
palette knife for long prompts
resin for challenges and events with a deadline or end date
pastels for prompt lists and bingo cards made for things other than RainbowFic
gift wrap for prompts about a holiday, birthday, anniversary, or other celebration (also for things that were made as gifts)
