Leggere. Leggo molto. A volte pezzettini di libri per leggerme 3 o 4 nello stesso tempo, oppure cerco di divorare uno tutto d'un pezzo. Leggo anche i giornali, pur essendo contrario ad alcune linee editoriali. Però leggo. Mi ritaglio un pochino di tempo con le pagine. A volte rileggo, e a volte cerco l'esperienza degli altri scrittori, perché è un modo pe confrontare le proprie emozioni. Ognuno ha il suo metodo. Io ho diversi luoghi per leggere, o anche per scrivere con il mio quaderno personale. E se sono al bar, magari osservo qualche pezzo di umanità. Ma questo particolare l'ho già raccontato. Per me è triste sapere che dalle mie parti c'è poca gente che legge parole tra le pagine di un libro... ma non pretendo di cambiare le persone nelle loro scelte. Io leggo e so che cosa cerco di volta.in volta. Non pretendo di essere capito, ma leggere mi permette qualche volta di fermarmi in un posto che forse non riuscirò mai a vedere con i miei occhi. Several bands from The Nash have invaded Cbus as of late and last night at @theshrunkenhead, @damselanddistressmusic joined the list. This group provided the indie pop goodness that frequent Nashville visitor @tunedupryan likes. It wouldn't be a shocker to see them in the running for @steadfastfestival 2020. Ogni tanto mi siedo in un bar, ordino una Schweppes, e resto seduto semplicemente a osservare il momento. Osservo persone, bicchieri, bottiglie, dettagli di vita quotidiana. Magari poi apro il mio quaderno personale, e provo a scrivere una piccola storia nella maniera più semplice possibile. Una storia fatta di persone che magari lascerò nel mio cassetto personale o che più in là può diventare un racconto, un romanzo, forse un corto, o, perché no, una poesia. Quando mi siedo in un bar da solo smetto di fotografare con la macchina fotografica e uso gli occhi, a volte le orecchie, ma non per ascoltare. Non mi serve ascoltare la storia di qualcuno. Mi serve ascoltare semplicemente l'umanità e prendere appunti. L'umanità, il più delle volte, è il miglior libro che si possa leggere, ma bisogna saperlo leggere. Poco alla volta, a piccole dosi, sapendo bene che ogni giorno a questo libro si aggiungono nuovi capitoli di esistenze che vanno e vengono. Senza l'umanità, uno scrittore non saprebbe che cosa scrivere.
