one of my favourite things about the clone wars is that everyone just agreed that the clone commanders are all in love with their generals.

Obi Wan and Cody? theyre in love. they drink tea together.

Aayla and Bly? married, paint each others nails sometimes.

Shaak Ti and Colt? adopted every single clone trooper, official parents of the GAR.

Anakin and Rex might not be in romantic love, but platonically they were MADE for one another.

and everyone knows that Plo adopted the wolffepack so there nothing but love there, too.

they just deserve to be happy.

why not more hc, I’m bored and wanna ramble… sorry if I repeated any.

99 is the best vode, he knows everything. If a brother is said, he’ll hug them, give words of encouragement and stuff and a mysteriously some illegal contraband that whatever the clone likes will randomly show up.

Shaak ti is buff and can hold her own if not demolish the Alphas on the training mats (The Rancor battalion found that out the hard way)

Jek, Rys and Thire became close after the mission with Yoda, Thire is still close with the commanders on Coruscant, but he’s even closer with the other two

While Hound may be a sergeant, he’s still an honorary commander member, he became the little brother of the group

…Thorn didn’t die on Scipio, nope, no way. Amidala saved him, always carrying a blaster or smth.

Dogma became really good at braiding hair because of all the time he braided Tups hair, so after Umbara when he definitely goes to Coruscant, Amidala finds out and sometimes ask him to do her hair.

Colt may essentially be Buir of Kamino, but all the alphas (especially 17) out Buir him, and it can be very comedic how a big burly alpha is hauling a ARC commander just to force them to sleep.

Fox absolutely denies or threaten to black mail shebse squad if they bring up the fact Fox was the first to fold and call Alpha-17 buir.

Colt and Wolffe have regular holo-calls just to shit talk Ventress.

Rex got adopted into Shebse squad after he bit Cody (Wolffe was proud)

When Kix is on shift in medbay, most of the time Jesse is there with him, he doesn’t have to be their but he’s a good batch mate.

Each shebse squad member have a quirk in fighting droids: Cody punches and spin kicks them, Wolffe bits them, Rex throws his blasters at them if they run out of ammo, Fox for some reason carry’s a high voltage taser, Bly drop kicks them, and Ponds throws rocks at them to catch them off guard

On multiple occasions animals like Loth cats and Tookas have been snuck on board the venators and multiple times have had to been taken off board

Fives has a girly scream, Torrent found out after he was caught singing in the barracks

Comet (and Plo Buir) can convice Wolffe to take care of himself (little brother privileges), unlike Boost, Warthog, and Sinker who have to sedate him of physically haul him away from the bridge

MEDICS GIVE STICKERS, if a your a good patient, you get a sticker. So there is a lot of vode with stickers inside or outside there armor

Colt keeps himself loaded with weapons, many different types of blasters, check. Lots of vibroblades and vibroswords (that he stole from commando droids), check. It will take a solid 10 mins for him to de-weapon himself

after Khorm, Plo threatened Captain Ozzel…. It was terrifying, Kit Fisto was both shocked and absolutely scared of getting on Plo Koons bad side.

Monnk collects different shells and rocks from the ocean floor and give them to different vode

kit fisto taught his battalion how to fish, just randomly, out of the blue he said they were going fishing and they went fishing

Ashoka definitely stole the ‘I’m no Jedi’ line from Rex.

everyone form the 212th and some 501st members were more traumatized by a bold Kenobi than the fact he faked his death to be a bounty hunter for a time period

kix has trouble staying warm after the cyro-freeze, like he’ll be bundled up in layers on tatooine

quinlan snuck into fox’s office once and was hit with a data pad on the head when he scared him and got himself a concussion, safe to say he doesn’t sneak up on fox anymore

clones have a sweet tooth

Once Hound got hurt while chasing a suspect and Grizzer went absolutely feral on the person who hurt him, it took Thorn and Stone just to separate him from the suspect, (fox and thire were just watching in shock as they helped hound)

padawans always use vents for travel (ex. Echo: where’s the commander. Fives casually: oh she’s in the vents. Echo: oh.. WHY IS SHE IN THE VENTS)

(Might be in the other one) The corrie guard have a bet everytime a battalion is on leave, the bet is: which members of what battalion will have the most in the drunk tank.

medics have to have a smex-ed meeting with every new shiny that boards

Bly (respectfully, cause he is a gentleman) asked Aayla to wear armor, the next day she was wearing Bly’s spare armor. Bly couldn’t stop blushing the whole day and it made his tattoos orange

When one or more of the Shebse squad is on leave, they bully fox into going to 79’s with them or to take care of himself. Safe to say, that whenever that happens the corrie guard can relax a bit

the most annoying patients for medics is any CO or jedis, all medics curse like sailors

when Kix was a medic shiny he hadn’t yet mastered the disapproval stare or the ‘shut the kark up and do what I say’ stare, so the vode listened to him just because it was so cute and funny, they quickly learned to stop thinking like that.

once after a battle Obi-Wan found Cody lying star fished on his back, he kicked a droid and broke his foot and collapsed once his foot gave out. Obi-wan just sighed, forced healed his foot a bit and carried him to the medics (Cody was turned into a sputtering and flustered mess)

Rex was already being corrupted by Skywalker’s tendencies when he was just a lieutenant in the 212th, Cody was horrified and wanted to bash his head into the wall.

Boil and Waxer secretly adopted Numa after Ryloth, each just co-parenting her

Kids on coruscant would sometimes come up to a guard member and hand them a paper of a drawing, ask for a hug, or just give them goodies. The guard now has a wall full of drawings given to them by kids in the barracks

the guard have stupid names for operations, it’s just a serious op about observing and trying to take down a drug ring (with vos’s help) and it has a name like “operation: too high to fly”

the cadets will hang off from any limb they can reach of their clone trainers and shaak ti

medics will lay on a cot with an injured clone on it to help them sleep, they’ll either be sleeping with them or doing data work

so yah… I’ll make more. Might make some of cod, fnaf , Dc, etc. as well and try to do art as well

Bad Batch Crosshair - Modern AU (Family is Annoying in any Universe)

A short look into the reception for Crosshair and Lyni's marriage.

Crosshair felt joy in his chest waking up next to Lyni. So much so that he dreaded his next deployment because it meant he had to take a break from being next to her. But Riyo promised that by his next leave the adoption papers for the twins Brutal and Shadow would be though then he could take all three to get military IDs.

And after the adoption goes through we'll take a vacation just the four of us, he promised himself. It was a promise that was keeping him from murdering many of his family members at this reception. They were testing his patience with the entirety of the Fett clan turning out to meet who one of their party boys was settling down with.

Looking around he could see his brothers talking to their cousins Cody and Rex, with a few of their brothers standing close by. Wolffe with his eye patch was giving stern stares at anyone who was headed his way so most steered clear of him. Shadow and Brutal were playing with some of the younger members of the clan, and Lyni was keeping a watchful eye on them.

Soon Jango started walking over, and Crosshair could feel the anger build up in him at the sight of the man. Most of his brothers had a strained relationship with their father, who was rightly called a dead beat. Jango had done little to raise them, preferring to leave them with the women that he slept with only to turn up later with gifts to try and mend the rift. One of the reasons Crosshair had slept around so much was because he was tired of fighting the expectation with Jango Fett as his father.

Lyni's slender hand slipped into his and Cross felt his anger melt away with her touch. Turning he smiled at his Riddur, his wife, and tried to ignore the man coming towards them. Jango had not gotten the hint, "Crosshair, why didn't you tell me you had such a lovely Cyre?"

Because my sweetheart is none of your business he wanted to say but didn't. Instead stating, "You have never been interested before."

Lyni squeezed his hand with her left as she extended her right, "It is nice to meet you Mr Fett, I'm Lyni."

Smiling the flirtatious smile he turned on all of his children's partners Jango answered taking her hand to shake, "What a lovely name for a lovely lady."

Raising an eyebrow, "A compliment that will never be returned to you sir." Crosshair snorted at the look on his fathers face but Lyni gave her practiced smile, "Now if you excuse us I have other members of the family to meet." Giving him a short nod she and Crosshair walked away and continued meeting members of the family.

There was Alpha and his generation, Colt and the rest of the uncles, Cody and the rest of the older cousins and then Tup and the rest of the younger cousins. Not to mention the spouses and partners of many of the older ones. Colt wife Shaak Ti stepped forward and took Lynis hands into hers, "Do not worry young one." With one of the tougura woman's gentle smiles, "Everyone will fall in place given time." Lyni just nodded and followed Cross some more.

Finally they had mad the rounds and settled at a picnic table for some lunch. Lyni relaxed a bit when Shadow and Brutal joined them with Wrecker following. He had also been playing with the kids but stopped when the twins wanted to rest. At this table for a moment they were just the Bad Batch and the Dathmarian trio. Lyni leaned her head on Crosshair's shoulder and sighed, "Is it always like this?" Her hand motioned to the chaos of the family unfolding around them.

Crosshair wrapped an arm around her shoulders while Hunter patted her shoulder comfortingly, "Only on a full get together. Otherwise there are less people." Lyni nodded once but sat up with with her practiced smile on her face when others joined the table.

I once again have a whole giant plot that would be excellent as longfic, but zero ability to write longfic.

So here's the snippet of the inciting incident:

"Tervho, why is there a kid here?"

"This is Arpat, my foundling."

"Have they even finished their verd'goten?"

"They're getting a naur'goten and Goran told me to bring them."

"... Right. Why are you here, Goraniik?"

"What are the duties of the Mand'alor?"

"What?"

"Please."

"Fine. The Mand'alor is akaanalor, leader in battle; naakalor, leader in peace; kaipur'yamlor, who sees to the needs of their people's bodies; mirpelor and droten'bajur, who see to the needs of their people's minds."

"And the Gorane?"

"The Gorane are rejoruyor, who tell our histories; beskaror, who guard our hearts; ranovor, who keep the ancient secrets; demarunor and mandacabor, who see to the needs of their people's souls."

"The Vode will need them all to be separate."

"The Vode? Wh - you mean the clones? You're sure?"

"I've Seen it. That's why Goran sent me. You will teach the Kihlor'ike. I will teach the Kihran'ike. They will be a People."

"There are going to be at least a million clones. How by Stars will we know which ones they are?"

"I will Know."

"... Alright, then. I suppose I lost this debate when your Goran decided to send you. Welcome to Kamino."

"Ah, it's his Mando'a name. A handful of us were selected for verd'gotene and naur'gotene by a Manda-touched Goraniik who was an instructor's foundling. Afterward, they gave us additional names."

"Were you? Selected, I mean?"

"Ah, yes, sir, I'm one of the Vode's Kihrane, so I took a naur'goten and was named Mareyc."

"Maraysh?"

"Close enough, though I'd prefer you call me Rex."

"Is Cody also one of the Kirawnay?"

"No, he's one of the Kihlore, he took a verd'goten."

"What's the difference?"

"The Mand'alor and the Gorane each have five main roles. Essentially, the Mand'alor sees to the mental and physical needs of the People and the Gorane see to their spiritual needs. For the purposes of the Vode, the Goraniik who trained us insisted on a different person filling each role. Kihlore, small Mand'alore; Kihrane, small Gorane. It's a good idea. If any of us fall in combat, the People we serve aren't crippled. Each company also has their own Goran and Ver'alor who each fill all five roles, but only for the members of that company. The Kihrane and Kihlore serve all the Vode."

"But you serve the Republic first, right?"

"Depends on the urgency. If my People need me to perform last rites more than the Republic needs me to take inventory, I'm doing the rites first. But if the Republic and the Legion need me to lead a battle more than my People need me to observe a ritual fast, I'm wolfing down ration bars with the rest of them to keep fit for duty."

"Well, as long as it doesn't interfere with your duties as a soldier."

"It hasn't yet. I've been doing this since I was decanted, sir - long before the war."

"Alright. I'm trusting you."

Most of the Mando'a I'm using is my own contrivations from canon words, especially the use of the -or suffix to mean "leader" as opposed to the typical personification suffices -ir, -ad, and -da.

I almost named Rex Droten'karta ("heart of the people") for this verse but decided I still like Mareyc for him, despite this being so far unrelated to the Fordo's Kid AU.

Bacara is the temporary Demarunor while Neyo heals, but Neyo is the one who got the training straight from the source before Priest (detested) happened. With Arpat's blessing, he passed on the basics Bacara needed to be functional in his duties but Bacara would only take it with the understanding that Neyo will be taking on the role again once he's had A Lot of therapy. After learning about Priest's abuses, Arpat suggested Neyo's healing journey be his naur'goten ("birth of a forge") and he had to think about it but eventually agreed. (Originally, he was insistent that the trauma itself was life-changing enough to count as a "birth" but Bacara asked him if he really wanted Priest's actions to define his entire adult life and that's when he changed his mind.)

Arpat means "seed" since the idea of them was the seed of this AU. Training the Vode's Kihrane was their own naur'goten, so once Neyo takes up his role, they'll be a full-fledged Goran instead of a Goraniik ("baby Goran") and will leave their name behind. They're not in any rush, they have oceans of compassion for his situation, and if that means they don't complete their naur'goten until they're 30 instead of the usual 13, they're okay with that.

Leaving their name behind isn't a requirement for the Kihrane, especially not after Gree had a panic attack about it. Adjustments are made to suit the Vode as their own branch of greater Mandalorian culture rather than absorbing them into an existing branch such as the True Mandalorians or Traditionalists.

Jango is still indifferent to everyone but Boba, the Alphas, and the Kihlor'ike, and neglectful to everyone but Boba. However, Arpat's position as Goraniik grants them some authority among the Mandalorians in the Cuyval Dar and so the way the rest of the trainers treat the clones does improve based on their example, with some notable exceptions like Priest and Reau, etc.

Arpat is ten when they arrive on Kamino with their buir, so by the time the war starts, they're the same developmental age as the older clones and have successfully helped raise an entire generation. After the First Battle of Geonosis, they stay on Kamino to continue helping. Colt especially relies on them as a mentor for himself and as a Goran for the cadets. They also insist on finding Boba and ask their buir to adopt him.

I know I might be in the minority on this one but….. I would kill Ventress 😈 I just can’t get over what she did to Colt and I’m not good about her relationship with Quinlan Vos in Dark Disciple. (Jealous maybe) I can’t forgive her as easily as Ahsoka and the Bad Batch did. I don’t trust her. She dies.
