most american thing i've ever had the displeasure of hearing recently was "we are shareholders in god's kingdom"
#she wasnt even american... she was european#any attachment i still had for christianity as a concept is being eroded away for every church i go to in southeast asia that is hmm.#run by white people 🤷♀️#like yeah okay religion isn't bad on its own. but are none of the asians in this room going to question that ever.#honestly i can see them tiptoeing around it because like we're all fully aware our religion was a product of colonization#and my parents at least are vocally upset with how colonization hurts us all to this day. even the hardcore evangelicals aren't that stupid#but then they'd have to confront that christianity is one of if not THE most harmful of colonization LMAO#i remember hearing that some filipinos are actively like be thankful for spanish colonization!! they brought us jesus!!!#oh you sad unloved children#bebisel#cn religion

This post is for my friends who know what the spoons analogy is (and if you don’t, here it is)
There’s a lot of teaching in church about the Christian God that makes a lot more sense if we think of Him as an entity with infinite spoons.
Humans do not have infinite spoons, which is why we a) are more powerful in community, b) have to set boundaries with each other sometimes, and c) are not capable of caring equally about all the bad things happening in the world without getting burnt out
God is capable of paying attention to everything at once and loving everybody equally because They have infinite spoons.
God taking a break after six ‘days’ of creating the world was Their way of leading by example for us mere mortals, I imagine. Like you know how a parent has to demonstrate basic skills for their little one, such as potty training and being respectful to others? That kind of thing. There will be time for nuance once the little one has wrapped their head around the basic concept.

Tenko being a buddhist and keeping true to these beliefs even when it's not the logical thing is what makes Tenko my fave so while I understand why people w some types of religious trauma would dislike that part and interpret the master as a bad influence, as someone whose religious trauma was getting my religion demonized, seen as toxic and dismissed, it works for me as much better to interpret him as well meaning. I actually think I've seen way more people portraying him as toxic than anything
i wanna quickly preface this right now tht I Am Not a Buddhist Nor do i practice Buddhism so if i ever get something wrong here Please do correct me im entirely open to crticism on that part. ( i realize now i didn't end up going indepth to your religion as i expected but i am Very much open to feedback if desired)
personally if people Do interpret master as a toxic influence Solely because of the religion that he himself raised tenko in, i think theyre!! very horribly wrong ! there is nothing wrong with that at all, tenko's beliefs really do align very similarly. however my main ick with the master that tends to get overlooked is How he essentially treated the whole ''hating men'' thing.
Tenko, canonically told us themselves, that they use their neo-aikido abilities to go out every day & night, to help bring justice. Whether it's helping an elder cross the street, tracking down a thief or even sexual predators on the train !
the 4th dialogue especially concerns me, seeing there wasn't any limit on what situations tenko is essentially sent in to diffuse. and it seems like they've been doing this since they were young! ( at least young enough that it would've seem like they've been doing this for... practically their whole life) Who knows what kind of things tenko was exposed to !! and in the next FTE we pretty much get a confirmation as to why tenko hated men, and it was because their own master reinforced the idea that men shouldn't ever be touched, lest your abilities gets drained out. I get that the master is trying to shape up tenko's moral compass (hence stuff like ''No getting excited about the holidays, dont eat 3 more sweets per day, dont touch men etc etc)
(thisis also the same fte where tenko ''finds out'' that their master is a man and completely freaks out )
i get what the master is trying to do here but like... that's definitely not something you should say to your Very Impressionable Child who's already seen things they probably shouldn't have to experience at their age. there are definitely less.. traumatizing ways of doing this.
Did the master intend to do this maliciously? or did he meant it well and didn't realize the profound effect it would have on his Essentially Foster child ? who freaking knows. the game never really gives us any better hints for either side, but regardless of intention, it's still not a very smart thing to do to this traumatized person with emotional dysregulation .
now going back to the buddhism ppl who insinuate that master is a bad influence on tenko Solely because his religion is stupid and kind of weird! like idk how explain it to you but i don't like the attempts of demonization of other religions that isnt your typical Evangelical Christianity type thing. ppl who think that Is the Reason to interpret master as toxic is ! wrong ! and Should reevaluate why they see master as toxic ! and i am here Personally to tell you that Maybe master shouldve idk. taught him to redirect his energy to something else entirely ! that doesn't involve giving him a freaking savior/caretaker complex! people shouldnt use this as a chance to demonize buddhism!!!
#norse dialogue#all in all master could be interpreted as a malicious or well-meaning presence and we Honestly have no idea which is which#it does irk me that ppl see him as a good guy but it cn be interpreted either way#is master probably the guy to give your children to when they experience emotional dysregulation? probably not#is master wrong for raising tenko with the same religion he himself is raised in? definitely not#Anyways . Hope this is comphrensible part 2. open 2 Discussion as Always#actually im kind of surprised that u see more ppl making master a bad influence more than i do#bc i see people treating tenko like he's gullible for ... being traumatized?#and regard master as a positive influence Or just simply a presence#. i Hope This Looks fine btw like. rereading it now a couple times i realize the weird Tone i Probably set off#IM NOT GONNA ADD MORE TAGS THAN NEEDED BUT LIKE!! I Hope its a decent read regardless i just wanted to point out the One issue i have w Him

The idea that you can raise a child into a functional adult without instilling some sort of worldview and culture is as sensible as the experiment where they tried to raise kids without teaching them a language to find out what they spoke in heaven.
"I think religion should be 18+" is such a stupid argument oh my god....
"But some kids get abused by religious figures!" Yeah and some kids get abused by school teachers. Abuse is possible in any situation where an adult has significant power over a child. Doesn't mean we should stop sending kids to school.
"But kids can't consent!" Kids can't consent to going to school either and yet we agree that it's important to give kids an academic and social education.
"But kids might get mental health issues from religion!" Do you know how many kids have mental health issues from school?? Anything can cause mental health issues. You can take your kid to the playground and a dog might bark at them and now they have anxiety. Kids don't need to be wrapped in bubble wrap.
Not to mention the extremely Christian-centric bias here...... Childhood is extremely important in so many religions, childhood is a different spiritual stage and the religious education and embracing of children is very important. It's how we ensure that endangered religions and cultures don't go extinct.

6B4T
Lately there has been talk about 4B and so I wanted to bring up 6B4T which grew from the South Korean 4B movement, and specially the 6B4T movement as it is practiced by our Chinese sisters. Before that however differences between the both are as followed:
4B
No sex with men
No giving birth
No dating men
No marriage with men
6B4T
Includes the original commandments of 4B and adds the following:
Don’t buy products from misogynistic brands
Support single women/women that have chosen to be celibate
Reject the corset (rejecting toxic beauty standards)
Reject idol culture (as in male-worship and idolization of entertainment figures this ALSO includes rejecting idol culture for female kpop idols/entertainers)
Reject otaku culture (rejecting misogynistic anime culture)
Reject religion
(**You may see 6B4T referred to as 10bt to avoid censorship as CN social media sites are heavily monitored by government censors, even outside of CN social media CN sisters will still refer to it as 10bt because 6b + 4t = 10bt)
Now that there's a basic understanding... I wanted to talk about some of the differences that the CN 6B4T movement has compared to what I usually encounter in English speaking radfem circles. Please note that this is my own experience and as with any political movement there can a myriad of women that agree and disagree (except on the 6B4T principles as a whole, those are rock solid for them haha.)
I was first aware of this movement around 2020 and have been following women on twitter/x since then that follow these beliefs. All of this has been gathered from tweets by 6B4T users on twitter/x + interactions with them. I am not a CN speaker and have used translation apps to piece together details on the 6B4T movement and have cross referenced this with some of the writings I can find in English about this and the conversations that I have had with some of the 10bt sisters that were willing to interact with me.
I do not feel comfortable just singling out specific accounts for people to look up on twitter but anyone that wants to do their own research can search the keywords on twitter 6B4T or 10bt and go under the "People" filter to populate accounts of CN women that have 6B4T and/or 10bt in their bio.
One thing that I want to talk about right away - the term donkey. It will come up quite often when you search 10bt accounts and is used to describe women that are perpetuating patriarchy because they "carry the patriarchy without protest and allow themselves to be exploited." (This includes married women.) 10bt sisters DO NOT have an emphasis on educating women that perpetuate patriarchy. You can find sayings such as:
"Feminism is like being given a weapon to support yourself with, do not use it to commit suicide by having a complex of saving donkeys"
“Don't do donkey work for donkeys".
“Don’t get derailed by women support women, leave the donkeys alone.”
Which leads me to the next point - 10bt sisters are for empowering women independently. There is obvious acknowledgement of bonds and relationships between women but the general feeling is more to focus on the individual self, connections are based solely on shared interests and can be let go of as needed. (I have also seen discussions of letting go of romantic ties not just for straight sisters but for lesbian sisters as well.) Sentiments such as "focusing on oneself is a foundation for a happy life" "All thoughts and ideologies cannot be separated from down to earth efforts and dedication" are plenty. Really a focus away from "altruistic" causes so to speak
And on that note: anti veganism. 10bt sisters in general are adamant that 6B4T principles should only include tackling patriarchy and not have other causes added to it. Anti veganism sentiment also seems to stem from certain aspects in CN culture of serving smaller portions to young girls and discouraging them to eat meat as opposed to men. The focus on improving one's self from before also shows up here: "Women need strength to overthrow patriarchy, only then should we focus on improving the lives of animals."
Some 10bt sisters are also very open about criticism and believe women that openly identify with the 10bt movement should be prepared to have their posts critiqued, and while some will debate this... one of the things that is absolutely non negotiable is that actions MUST back up words. There’s lots of debates that go on in the 10bt movement but the bare minimum is that if you follow 6B4T then you must follow its core beliefs otherwise what are you here for? There is a huge disdain for those that say they belong to this movement but don’t follow its beliefs.
With that being said, how do the 10bt sisters feel about 4B taking off in the states? Well…
“4B grew into 6B4T and they only dared to do half of the movement? It’s disappointing.”
“At this point in time, it is crazy to deliberately go back and start from 4B. You have someone’s shoulder to stand on but you won’t take it.”
“4B: No marriage, no giving birth , no sex, no dating. Doesn't that mean they are still serving as donkeys: supporting idols and otaku, believing in religion, using pornographic content, and consuming misogynistic brands... It really makes one recognize by a glance what stupid things they are still doing.”
“I don't understand how this kind of castration of the feminist movement came about.”
Is some of the general consensus on twitter/x.
Two more things I will add here before I wrap this up:
I have seen a post in English about other principles to follow such as 5B, 7B or 8B. I am not aware of what these principles are and could not find a CN source to confirm this so if 5B, 7B and 8B do exist, I do not believe it originated from the CN movement.
There is also the concept of icing men out aka if a man comments on your social media posts immediately delete the comment EVEN if it is a comment in agreement. For this while I also could not find a specific CN source for the 10bt sisters, it feels like it is just natural to not interact with men. I have yet to see debates on whether someone can be part of 10bt and still have a boyfriend, husband, etc since the answer will always be a resounding NO. (And on this note… if you are curious about attitudes towards male family members.. rejection of filial piety is something that is very agreed upon. I would recommend first learning what filial piety entails in CN culture as whole if there is curiosity about this.)
I will wrap this up with one of my favorite concepts I have encountered from our 10bt sisters:
“When one woman keeps house*: five women are trapped: herself, daughter, mother, sister-in-law, and female coworkers”
[*keeps house meaning - “when one woman marries…”]
If there are sisters out here who are involved with this or have more info to add please feel free to do so! Also would love to get in touch with any that know more on the CN 10bt movement.

I’m kinda a new fan had some questions. Are any of the members religious? I saw Gerard say god spoke in his head or something (I hear alot of Christians say this)
Regarding that whole thing does he hallucinate? I don’t mean to be rude I’m just wondering if he’s kinda schizophrenic. I really don’t mean to be rude.
Were they on drugs during the creation of black parade? Did they do drugs during the creative process at all? (Sorry to be weird)
Did Gerard write comics before the band? Was he successful? Did he actually work at CNN? Did he want to join military after 9/11 (I’ve heard him say he wanted to join in a tweet) ? Is there any pic of his art portfolio during college?
Did Mikey go to college?
hi! these arent weird questions. you just want to know what everyone else knows. im gonna answer your questions as best as i can from my own recollection. anyone can add if im wrong or forgot something. disclaimer, of course, there's a lot the public doesnt know so ill just be regurgitating What Is Known, and where you might have gotten these ideas. below the cut ->
"Are any of the members religious?"
the ways grew up catholic. Gerard has talked about his relationship with religion a few times. Most substantially this twitlonger in 2013 (from this tweet). i dont know if we know his Current Status. i feel like he talked about it in this 2019 podcast maybe. he def talks about his and his wife's relationship to "witchcraft" in there. In the second nj 2022 show he referred to bury me in black as a song from back in the "catholic days". whatever that means
frank used to go to catholic school. i think he no longer identifies with catholicism. i dont think we know what ray or mikey practice.
"I saw Gerard say god spoke in his head or something (I hear alot of Christians say this)"
he probably did say that, i just cant remember when. what i do remember is that he often talked about "hearing voices" (2014) and "being touched by god" (2007), particularly relating it to joan of arc.
"Regarding that whole thing does he hallucinate? I don’t mean to be rude I’m just wondering if he’s kinda schizophrenic."
so, he's never talked about any specific mental illnesses. he's only ever talked about symptoms. on purpose! there's this infamous tweet of his, "Labels: my therapist and I don't use them. I am chemically imbalanced, so I take medication to help with that. In fact-" "I don't use labels for anything. Using labels only gives others the leverage needed to categorize you or use you as a political tool." (2016 1, 2)
he talked about depression & mania. he's talked about "hearing voices" around the break up period, 2013-15. some attribute the paramour mansion hauntings to mental illness. it's vague
"Were they on drugs during the creation of black parade? Did they do drugs during the creative process at all?"
frank and gerard talked about doing drugs during the recording of three cheers in 2003 (2011, good discussion "After our grandmother died..." on). gerard went sober second half of 2004 and the band has talked about being sober around him in support. so i dont think they did any drugs while making black parade (which was when they were touring 2005 & in 2006). i think they've even said they smoked a lot of cigs because they couldnt do drugs.
frank has talked about his drug dependence during the black parade tour 2007-08 ish. mikey went sober around the break up. i dont think ray did drugs (in the last source, ray said, "I had no idea any of that stuff [drug use] was going on [in 2003]. I was so naïve.")
drinking & weed & cigs not withstanding
"Did Gerard write comics before the band? Was he successful?"
afaik gerard only worked on three published comics before umbrella academy in 2007.
1993 (age 16): "On Raven's Wings" (writer, 2 issues)
1998 (21): DC's "The Big Book of the Weird Wild West" (pencils & inks, page in 1 issue)
2000 (23): "Foot Soldiers" (writer, back up story in 1 issue)
"Did he actually work at CNN?"
he interred for CN (cartoon network) & pitched a cartoon to them that wasnt accepted.
"Did he want to join military after 9/11 (I’ve heard him say he wanted to join in a tweet)?
just the one time, he talked about considering joining the military at 23, which wouldve been 2000 (2014). he never talked about joining the army after 9/11
"Is there any pic of his art portfolio during college?"
i dont think there's photos of his portfolio anywhere. but there are photos of his college artwork. collected here and here.
"Did Mikey go to college?"
he did for a short bit! dropped out. only gerard & ray have degrees. i dont have any sources for the following info so im just going to give you want i remember. I THINK: mikey went to college to meet people to get in a band, met frank there, dropped out before mcr started, and worked for eyeball records.

BROOKINGS, Ore. (CN) — A federal judge in Oregon ruled in favor of a church in its lawsuit against the city of Brookings Wednesday, finding that a city ordinance limiting how often the church could feed homeless people was unconstitutional.
In October 2021 the Brookings City Council established an ordinance banning churches in residential areas from serving meals to the community without a permit and prohibited churches from providing more than two free meals a week.
Brookings community members filed a petition against St. Timothy’s Church Episcopal Church, claiming that homeless people camped at the church and the surrounding areas, bringing crime to the area.
After the ordinance was implemented, St. Timothy’s sued the Brookings, claiming the ordinance violates its rights to freely practice its religious teachings to feed and help the poor.
Last April, the city notified the church that it would be fined $720 per day if it continued to feed and offer social services to homeless people. The city pushed back, but the city council denied its appeal in December.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark Clarke wrote in his 22-page opinion that the city cannot impose any land use regulation, such as the ordinance, that makes it difficult for the church to freely practice its religion. He noted that feeding the hungry is a central tenet of many Christian religions and there is no reason to doubt that St. Timothy’s is sincere about its beliefs to help people in need.
“Here, it is undisputed that St. Timothy's either provides or hosts a benevolent meal service three to four times per week and that, in the past, St. Timothy's has provided a benevolent meal service up to six times per week. The clergy and the members of St. Timothy's have provided food to the hungry for over a decade, and they believe it is a central tenet of their faith to do so,” Clarke wrote. “By limiting the number of days per week that St. Timothy's can provide benevolent meal service, the ordinance forces Plaintiffs to choose between acting in accordance with their faith or facing a fine of $720 per day. The ordinance thus puts ‘substantial pressure’ on ‘plaintiffs ‘to modify their behavior and to violate their beliefs.’”
Clarke said that the city had failed to provide any “compelling government interest” that would be served by limiting the number of days that St. Timothy’s can feed people.
“The city has not articulated how the specific provisions of the ordinance that limit meal service to two days per week, or even three days per week if the amendment to the ordinance is enacted, serve to protect public welfare, maintain peace and order, or prevent crime in practical application. The court can find no logical, causal relationship between the limitation and these interests,” Clarke wrote.
The city argued that the ordinance was “permissive,” in that without it, St. Timothy’s would not be allowed to serve meals at all since it isn’t a restaurant. Clarke rejected that theory, writing that the city allowed the church to serve meals for over a decade without stepping in, and did not move to restrict the number of days that meal services can be provided at any other non-restaurants in the area, such as golf courses or bed and breakfasts.
“If the other non-single-family residential uses can serve meals unrestricted, why not a church? Thus, the idea that the ordinance's limitation is permissive instead of restrictive defies any stretch of the imagination,” Clarke wrote.
The judge continued that the city’s concerns about crime “ring hollow” when it had allowed the church to serve meals for years before suddenly springing into action.
“This undisputed fact is fatal to their argument that the ordinance's restrictions are intended to promote public welfare, peace, and order, and to deter crime,” Clarke wrote.
In his conclusion, the judge chided the city for enacting the ordinance, and said that the city is fortunate that St. Timothy’s is there to help lift up the community.
“Consistent with their faith, and with the city's full awareness, St. Timothy's has cared for vulnerable people in the community for decades, including during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic when there were few, if any, other accessible resources in the area,” Clarke wrote. “The clergy and the congregation at St. Timothy's have shown that they have been prepared to work with the city to care for those in need, and at the same time preserve the livability of the area for their neighbors by cooperating with law enforcement when necessary. The homeless are not ‘vagrants,’ but are citizens in need. This is a time for collaboration, not ill-conceived ordinances that restrict care and resources for vulnerable people in our communities.”

Its EVEN MORE OVER because right after my suo/endopost im going to need to write another entire post about my theory on the major people we've met so far coinciding with the major religions/major chinese beliefs
Like here's my starter thought which i'll elaborate later once ive laid out everything, but whilst writing about Suo i realized a lot of his actions could possibly coincide with the beliefs of confucianism, mainly from 五倫 (five confucian relationships) and 四端 (four principles) <- this will be elaborated in my suo/endopost
Further down that thought combined with Ume and Chika relating to JP buddhism which @thebrookesnook pointed out here, as well as the biblical/christian symbolisms that Endo has which i will also write into my suo/endopost, i had a moment of Yaphinany and realized if i'm going to connect our mc to a belief/religion, Sakura's hair is black/white—which means he could carry taoist sybolisms—which when i started looking into it realized i actually had Grounds (shaky but still)
And honestly the bigger the hole i dig the more i want to hit myself because theres no way this is all planned by nii satoru i have to be yapping my way into the next dimension, right??
like the next thing you know i can predict the upcoming flow of wbk stories because i studied chinese history and my dad is super proficient in it and we can put our braincells together to write the final Nii Satoru Analysis Post to prove he is literally insane once and for all
TODAY I WAS INFORMED FROM A THEORY DOC THAT SUOS FLOWER IS A CHINESE REDBUD AND THAT MEANS IN HIS CHINESE TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE ROOM ART WITH SAKURA THAT MAY ALSO BE A CHINESE REDBUD INSTEAD OF A PLUM BLOSSOM AND IM GONNA TELL YOU THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING UWHAHAHDJWKSJ HES EVEN MORE CHINESE NOW BRB CHAT!! I NEED TO- IM GOING TO DO MY THIRD SUO CHINKPOST
#suo hayato#wind breaker#wbk#sakura haruka#this is actually stupid there is no way its real but im gonna yap about it anyway later#because holy shit if we get the buddhist/christian & confucian/taoist that means there is grounds for a legalist#and legalism is!!! also one of the big 3 in chinese belief/virtue!! 儒家道家and法家#AND if that is the case im going to actually eat my fist if chars symbolizing the other two abrahamic religions shows up#I May Be Tweaking But The Tweak Is Good#actually is tsugishita considerable for being 法家 if the 法 in question is umemiya-san's words#<- talking to myself#im gonna be real with yall here there is no way nii satoru has not studied chinese culture#because studying suo is like opening a pandoras fucking box#it may be coincidential it may be intentional but either way suo's written in a way that can literally be interpreted through Pure CN lenses#and when you do so#so many of his actions suddenly become interconnected#its fucking STUPIDDDDD this is a real life pandoras box

Viernolu Melarn (Vivian)
from Ched-Nasad. 137 years old. CN->CG. Bard of the Collegium of Swords, crossbow expert. My OC from the Waterdeep: Dragon Heist campaing.
Personal quest: A poem on an old motif
Younger sister of Halisstra Melarn, also known as the Lady Penitent. After the disaster with the city of Ched-Nasad during the Silence of Lolth and the Drow civil war, escaped to the surface with her sister and the few members of their house who survived.
Left home too soon and did not have time to learn the bae'qeshel technique. In our campaign, Waterdeep is a rather chauvinistic town towards the Drow and refugees from Elturel. On the Surface, she uses disguise and makeup to pretend to be a wood elf.
Currently figuring out the fate of her sister. Loves art, fun quests, the clinking of coins, seducing people, kalimshan coffee, cats and horses. Behind the mask of carefree and fun hides a lot of pain from the past.
Can talk to animals, this helps her and the group when investigating. At the last game session she was initiated into the Eilistraee religion. Works with Qilue Veladorn to find Halisstra and spread the Eilistraee faith.
I tried to fit it into the lore of the Forgotten Realms, since the events of Dragon Heist include canon history and characters. And as luck would have it, Qilue Veladorn did turn out to be one of the official characters involved in the story.
Special thanks to Risi for the insignia of the noble house of Melarn.
Vivian's appearance is based on a neural network image I generated for her character token in our campaign. Don't judge me harshly for this, I resort to neural networks when I want to quickly make an image for a board game. I do this because I draw portraits too slowly myself, and they often don't match my idea of a quality drawing.

Leftists have been trumpeting the return of fascism for years, but people ignored it and called it "What you can have in your own opinion" or told us that we are the problem
It started with trans people, and all the way to entire LGBT+ groups, feminists also got hit and there was no reaction because "They could have stayed quiet and not done it" (When they were on strike)
In addition, using September 11 as an excuse to harass people of Arab origin all over the world (although they live in my country and it's more white people who do shit here), dehumanized people, but it's the Arabs' fault that one crazy person flew a plane into two towers , True?
Fascism was reborn at the beginning of this century, but with Trump and Rowling it became more and more visible, but people thought it was nothing bad
2020 was also the point where fascism became acceptable (In my country, there was a campaign against LGBT+ people and women on strike after the ban on abortion on a damaged fetus, and then the dehumanization of people at the border who were deceived by Lukashenko, but as you said, it was was, then they called you under the propaganda of Lukashenko or Putin, yes, being a good person means being a traitor, I'd rather be a traitor than their "Hero")
It's no better abroad either, tik tok has become the only place, which has caused a lot of damage, including the resurgence of pro-ana, the destruction of the postivi body and the acceptance of autism
In 2024, many people's eyes have been opened, when anti-genocide strikes are attacked and people fighting for a free Palestine are called anti-Semites (Even if they are Jews), unfortunately, as before, people woke up to the genocide and the awareness that it is taking place, the holocaust was not stopped either and people were terrified only when it all came to light, now we can try to stop it, but there might not have been a genocide if we had reacted earlier when Israel used segregation to separate them from the Israelis
I'm born in 01, i.e. a zoomer, I used the Internet only for flash games, although I preferred DVD games (I watched as many cartoons from CDs, I watched them on TV when they were on, but that didn't mean I liked them as much as the DVD ones)
I watched Mini Mini while others were watching CN, hence I was considered immature by people in my class (10-14 years old)
It is possible that it was cartoons that helped me develop empathy (I have ASD, and it is a myth that autism does not have empathy), although I was never able to show it, and being a scapegoat did not help me much
I encountered LGBT+ at the age of 13, but thanks to the propaganda from religion classes you can guess what my approach was (Howrse, forum, censoring the word "Gay" as if it was a curse, WTF)
I don't remember when I realized that I was an aroace, because I was always an aroace, but I didn't know, for me the word "Love" didn't mean what cis hetero people consider love, for me it meant relationships where someone is close to you (Family, your pet, friendship etc…)
The first glimpses that something was wrong, I saw a certain Polish YouTuber explaining his transphobia (This was the moment when young and stupid me got a warning light, because if knowing being trans was an option for me, it doesn't change the fact that there was something wrong here yes, cognitive dissonance from cartoons I watched as a kid about that the most important thing is to be yourself and accept yourself, that others should also accept you, and then you come across this, even if you don't understand, you know that this creator's thinking is bad)
I became more interested in politics in 2020, when President Andrzej Duda (Rapper of the Year) said "LGBT+ is not people, it's an ideology", then I already knew that I was LGBT+ (I didn't use "Aroace" then, but "Asexual" and "Aromatic" )
Then I realized how many bad people there are and how they hate someone for their very existence. I can't blame myself for not being interested in politics before, because I was a child (Although pedophiles will probably say that "You weren't a child, you were a teenager", shut up!)
I had Twitter for a year because they blocked it, classic for "Inciting suicide" (But pedophiles and fascists can go unpunished, Twitter standards, they complain that Elon Musk destroyed it, no, he didn't destroy it, he was always fucked up)
I feel like I've grown up too quickly, and I've come so far in my development that it turned out that many people I trusted turned out to be bad, well, maybe loneliness isn't so bad, I have a cat, a dog and my own third party liability insurance, maybe not people (Or real ones…), but it's better than fake friendships, right?
2020 was a turning point for everything, entering politics and discovering how many people were actually mocking you and weren't your friends (Wasted years, even when they started a separate group to mock me and made a remake of my photo from 2013, where they stuck my face into a drawing of a penis… And yet I forgave them + I blamed it on myself, that I reacted badly to everything, when they pointed it out to me, that I was "exaggerating", I left groups, they added me again and so on endlessly)
It doesn't make it easier that in high school I had a toxic support teacher who controlled and criticized me (and laughed at me) at every step, and called my "meltdowns" aggressive and turned them into a note for the diary
So I've been in toxic relationships in real life and online, and this realization is killing me...
But coming back, we had the return of fascism and now people were hit with the realization that "Not an opinion" is "Fascism", the question is how long this approach will last and everything will not return to the status quo

Background: Lover of rainbows, Architecture and Geology, former Teacher and with a rather dry sense of humor, Cleo is an inhabitant of the far land known for his various Hermits. Always ready to voice her opinions in many fields. While she has built various wonders across the years, Cleo like her name suggest is sort of a zombie-like creature(what type is not exactly known) sayin that she “Prefers the hard truths of zombies than the easy lies of elfs” although no one has seen elven creatures in the land of the Hermits. Sometimes struggling with her dry humor in making it more akin to the other Hermits and wishing to be able to control her urges in expressing her opinions she thinks if this is caused by her zombie-like nature. “So your nature gets in your way?” Said a voice as she was building an absurdly-long long rainbow bridge. Cleo looked around but found no one, she was alone. “I can help you. All you have to do is simple: find me.” Cleo was not known to shy away from a challenge and said: “Bring it on!” A simple snap of fingers was heard “Okie dokie” Said the voice. The world shifted, her aspect changed and she found herself in front of a catacomb at the top of a stony hill, with new gear and knowledge never seen before. “I will realize your greatest wish, all you have to do is find me. Good luck!” Cleo looked around and stared at the town behind her at the bottom of the hill. “Yeah, but i am going to stab you SO HARD after this.” And she started to walk down the hill.

not something i expected to get an answer on but cool to know! it really does all come back to buffy
i wonder what was going on that caused there to be 2 shows about a kid thats supposed to be the protector of/bridge between the magical world, mentored by their grandparent, whos abilities skipped their parents generation, with a younger sibling who has the same abilities they have, and a magical dog that helps them out
#also a good way to explain the difference in storytelling! i keep expecting jlee to loop around and pick up on a storyline from a previous#episode but yeah. it being episodic does make sense!#yeah. bc of how long it takes to produce an animated show i knew it wasnt cn going huh thats doing well maybe we should do that#instead i then turned to wondering about the world much like w 1984 (1949) and brave new world (1932) which were both dystopians where#religion (or more specifically christianity) was more or less outlawed. and what was going on at the time that made them go oh man. we need#to start worrying about religion ppl are going to try to get rid of it#but in juniper lee and jake longs case its just that buffy had finished in 2003 which is probably about when the shows were getting pitched#anyway thank you for this!

In the Favoritism AU's Scarlet Warlock, I imagine Felix & CN reading Nicholas Kress & Miles Arcel's tragic love story with different reactions.
F, shaking his head: Nobody deserves that kind of- are you crying?!
CN, sobbing his heart out: THEY DESERVED BETTER!
CN/Adrien (who I hc as an avid ao3 reader/fanfic reader) couldn't help it! It's the literal trope of 'my love for you outweighs any religion, even though we're to be damned, there is nothing holier or purer than this'. It's like Trigun vashwood at its peak.
Also, just imagine the dynamic they have. Felix is the kinda movie watcher who could chuckle at scenes he shouldn't while Adrien probably bursts into tears the moment an animal dies.
Bonus: Adrien tries his best to create OCs based on Nicholas Kress & Miles Arcel to write a sorta 'fix-it fic' where they get a happier ending.
Adrien: *Throwing money at Nathaniel and Marc* Teach me how to draw and write, please!
Nathaniel: … Should we?
Marc: Shh. The longer we stall, the more money gets thrown at us.
*Ten more handfuls of cash later*
Marc: And, that’s how you write a decent happy ending that doesn’t have any dumb overused cliches. Are you getting all this?
Adrien: I literally just posted my first chapter while you were talking.
Marc: Well, let’s see it. Since this is your first time writing fanfic, we’ll try to be gentle.
*One heartwarming chapter later*
Marc/Nathaniel: *Sobbing their eyes out*
Nathaniel: This is beautiful! The emotion poured into this- It’s… *Cries some more*
Marc: This made me believe in magic again. The world seems… Brighter. *Starts to smile, only to notice Marinette, and his expression darkens again* And, there goes my one shred of joy… This is a good story, though.
