Tumblr media Tumblr media
THE SUN WAS JUST BEGINNING TO SET, casting a warm orange glow over the open road as you stood by the garage, anxiously eyeing the gleaming black motorcycle parked in front of you. It was a beast of a machine, all chrome and leather, looking as intimidating as the man who owned it. Logan stood beside you, a small smirk playing at the corners of his mouth as he handed you a helmet.
“You sure about this?” he asked, his gruff voice laced with amusement.
You gave him a determined nod, though your stomach was doing somersaults. “I can handle it,” you replied, trying to sound more confident than you felt.
Logan chuckled, the sound deep and comforting, like warm honey. He leaned in close, brushing a soft kiss against your temple. “I know you can, bub. Just don’t want you to wreck my bike.”
You rolled your eyes, playfully shoving him away. “Please, I’m more worried about wrecking me.”
With that, you threw a leg over the bike, settling into the seat. The leather was cool against your skin, and the handlebars felt solid beneath your hands. Logan watched you with an expression that was half-pride, half-amusement, like he couldn’t decide if he was more impressed or entertained by the whole situation.
“Alright, first things first,” he began, his tone shifting to something more serious. He stepped up beside you, his large hands covering yours on the handlebars. “Throttle’s here, brake’s there. And this”—he pointed to the lever—“is the clutch. Got it?”
You nodded, your heart racing as his breath tickled your ear. Having him this close, his presence so reassuring and strong, made you feel like you could take on the world. Or at least, this motorcycle.
Logan moved back, watching as you tried to start the engine. The bike roared to life beneath you, the vibration rumbling through your entire body. You couldn’t help the excited grin that spread across your face. Logan grinned back, his eyes crinkling at the corners in that way that always made your heart skip a beat.
“Look at you,” he teased, crossing his arms over his chest. “Natural born biker, huh?”
You revved the engine a little, testing the feel of it, but your overenthusiastic twist of the throttle made the bike lurch forward, nearly throwing you off balance. You yelped, your foot slamming down on the ground to steady yourself. Logan burst out laughing, his deep, throaty chuckle filling the air.
“Okay, maybe not a natural,” you muttered, your cheeks burning with embarrassment.
Logan was at your side in an instant, his laughter softening as he rested a reassuring hand on your shoulder. “You’re doin’ fine. Just ease up a little. The bike’s gotta trust you, same as you trust it.”
“Since when did you get so philosophical about motorcycles?” you asked, raising an eyebrow.
He shrugged, a sly grin spreading across his face. “I’m a man of many talents.”
You snorted, but the nervousness was ebbing away, replaced by a sense of determination. You took a deep breath, tried again, and this time, the bike moved forward smoothly, rolling down the driveway under your control. Logan jogged alongside, his eyes fixed on you like he was ready to catch you at any second.
“There ya go! Nice and easy,” he coached, his voice warm and encouraging.
You rode in a small circle, slowly getting the hang of it. Your heart swelled with pride when you saw Logan’s approving nod. Feeling a bit bolder, you gave the bike a bit more gas, picking up speed.
“Alright, hotshot, don’t get too cocky!” Logan called out, but there was a note of pride in his voice.
You were doing it! You were actually riding a motorcycle! The thrill of it coursed through your veins, the wind whipping through your hair, the powerful engine purring beneath you. You glanced back at Logan, ready to flash him a victorious grin—
—and that’s when you saw the mailbox.
“Oh shi—” You swerved, trying to avoid it, but the bike wobbled, and before you knew it, you were tumbling off the side, landing in the grass with a thud. The bike tipped over, but thankfully, it wasn’t going fast enough to do any real damage.
Logan was by your side in an instant, his concern barely masking his amusement. “You alright, sweetheart?” he asked, trying—and failing—not to laugh.
You groaned, rubbing your bruised shoulder. “I think I’ll stick to four wheels.”
Logan chuckled, helping you up before pulling you into his arms. “You did good,” he murmured against your hair, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. “We’ll try again tomorrow. Maybe leave the mailbox out of it.”
You couldn’t help but laugh, the sound muffled against his chest. “Maybe you could just drive, and I’ll hold on tight?”
Logan’s arms tightened around you, his voice softening to a rumble that you felt more than heard. “Darlin’, you can hold on to me anytime you want.” He tilted your chin up, his gaze locking onto yours, and the teasing warmth in his eyes made your heart flutter.
“You know,” you whispered, “I think I’ll take you up on that offer.”
He grinned, leaning down to capture your lips in a sweet, lingering kiss, the kind that made the world around you melt away until there was nothing but him. When he pulled back, there was a mischievous glint in his eye.
“Guess I’ll just have to keep teachin’ you,” he said, his voice low and playful. “Can’t let my girl be anything less than the best, right?”
You rolled your eyes, but your smile betrayed you. “Sure, Logan. Whatever you say.”
As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of pink and purple, you leaned into Logan’s side, the rumble of his laughter vibrating through you as you both stood there, the motorcycle forgotten. It didn’t matter that you’d wiped out on your first try. All that mattered was that you were with him, and together, there wasn’t a thing in the world you couldn’t face.
Well…except maybe that mailbox.

my fav lil snippet from my new satosugu fic <3
“I don’t know about this, Satoru…” Suguru trailed off, examining his pink stingray curse anxiously. It was small, really small, especially for two boys who were already breaching six feet. He could sit comfortably on it with crossed legs, but he’d never tried having a passenger with him. “What if we’re airborne and it gives out on us?”
“Oh, c’mon Suguru, have a little faith.” Satoru walked around the stingray, checking it out with delightful inquisitiveness. Its eyes followed Satoru three-hundred-and-sixty degrees around its body, fluttering quietly about a foot off of the ground. Suguru could tell, judging by the boy’s intense stare, that Satoru was figuring out the physics of it in that magnificent brain of his. He finally gave it a gentle pat as he reasoned, “It’ll be like… sharing a bike. You sit in front and steer, and I’ll be behind you and try not to fall off. It’ll totally work.”
Suguru hesitated, hand on his chin as he considered Satoru’s suggestions. Even with their weights combined, they weren’t especially heavy. He was more concerned with being able to fit all of their limbs on the stingray. The thought of Satoru behind him so closely made him break out into a sweat.
Satoru pushed him towards it, ushering him to get on. “Look, you sit here,” he tapped near the ray’s head. Suguru complied nervously, crossing his legs tight, trying to make himself as small as possible. The stingray dipped slightly but still hovered above the grass. “It’s a little cramped, but… if I squeeze in here…” Satoru then slipped his thin, lanky body behind Suguru, his legs bent and feet resting near the base of the wings. The ray grazed the ground just slightly before rising back up to its original resting place inches above.
“Yes! See!? I told you it would work!” Satoru exclaimed into Suguru’s ear, totally unbothered as he settled comfortably snuggled against his teammate.
 Suguru’s back went rigid as he felt Satoru’s entire torso pressing against him. He flushed a deep red, feeling incredibly grateful that Satoru couldn’t see his face. “Don’t speak too soon, we haven’t even tried flying yet…” he murmured, setting a hand on the stingray’s head, using cursed energy to start elevating.
The stingray jolted, nearly sending Satoru tumbling off. He yelped and grabbed Suguru’s waist suddenly for leverage. “Jeez, Suguru, at least give me a warning first!”
Suguru himself jolted at the warm hands gripping his waist. His face grew hotter, this whole situation making him so flustered. “Sorry,” he replied sheepishly, “Just- just keep holding on, I’m going to try and get us in the air…”
Satoru clutched him firmly as the ray escalated, slowly but smoothly, off of the ground and into the sky. They just about reached the clouds, high enough so that regular humans would only catch a glimpse of them as a speck darting across the horizon. Suguru knew that Yaga would be furious if he found out about this, they definitely omitted (lied) about this detail of the trip, but it was so hard saying no to Satoru when he flashed those big, beautiful, cyan eyes of his.
“Wooooah,” Satoru gasped in awe, looking around at the clouds with child-like wonder. “This is amazing! I’ve never been this high up before…” He peeked down through his sunglasses for just a moment, watching the earth below grow smaller and smaller. His stomach clenched with anxiety and exhilaration, a wave of adrenaline crashing over him.
He was fully trusting Suguru Geto with his life in this moment.
And it thrilled him more than it scared him.
A shy smile spread across Suguru’s lips. He took in a huge breath of relief, closed his eyes, and felt his back push into a firm, anchoring chest. He relaxed into the touch, his creeping guilt and shame dissipating as he just… let it all blow away with the wind whipping in his face.
It wasn’t lost on him how incredibly intimate this felt, just the two of them in the swirling pink and orange sky, surrounded by fluffy clouds, the sun shining on their faces in the brisk, early morning.
He peeked behind him and beamed at the expression on Satoru Gojo’s face, how stunning he looked, with his brilliantly white hair and his perfect eyes reflecting the sunrise sky, his easy grin taking in the beauty of everything around them.
He looked like pure sunshine.
It hurt deep within Suguru’s chest how badly he wanted to kiss Satoru.
Right there, in the rosy sky.
It was an overwhelming, lovesick ache he’d never experienced until just now.
“Are you ready?” Suguru asked, his mauve eyes darting down for a beat to glance at Satoru’s soft lips.
Satoru caught his stare, searching Suguru’s face for words left unspoken. His hands reached out, arms hugging around Suguru’s middle and squeezing tight.
He replied, softly, genuinely, “Yes. I trust you, Suguru.”
Suguru took off, at full speed, skating across the clouds.

“Come on, we’re gonna be late!” Flicker said, scooping you up and depositing you onto his speeder bike.
“Late for what?” You asked for the 10th time that evening, fighting down the shiver that raced up your spine when his hands had found your hips.
“That’s for me to know, and for you to find out,” he replied, sliding in place in front of you. “Hold tight, cyar’ika!”
You wrapped your arms around his waist, clutching at his sides as he sped off into the flow of traffic. Without the armor to separate the pair of you, you could feel the firm muscles beneath his shirt, and you reminded yourself for the 10th time that it wasn’t a date. Just two friends hanging out.
Regardless, you rested your face against his back, smiling as you caught the scent of his cologne.
As the crisp, steady lights of the upper levels gave way to the erratic neon of the lower levels, you propped your chin on Flicker’s shoulder.
“Oooh, the seedy underbelly of triple zero,” you said, giving his sides a playful squeeze as he parked the speeder. “Next, you’ll tell me we’re going to an illegal casino.”
“Something like that,” he replied nonchalantly, as he helped you off of the bike.
“Wait? Really?”
“You’ll see.”
He took you by the hand and led you into a packed club. A few of the patrons eyed the two of you with disdain, while others greeted Flicker by name, as you moved through the crowd smoothly.
Sometimes you forgot that Flicker wasn’t just your good looking friend, he was also a sergeant in the Coruscant Guard and well-respected. You tried to look around at the decor, the crowd, the DJ, and not just focus on Flicker’s fingers laced securely with yours.
Before you knew it, you’d made it through the dance floor and into a back hallway with several doors lining the way. At the end of the hallway, Flicker tapped twice on a durasteel door.
A slot opened in the door, and the eyes of a Pantoran appeared.
“Password?” said a silky smooth voice.
“Cloud City Chaser,” Flicker replied.
The slot closed, and the door slid open revealing stairs descending into the depths of the building. Tugging you along, Flicker led you down the stairs. The thumping bass of the club faded and gave way to cheering and shouting. Your brow furrowed as the pair of you arrived in a makeshift arena. You couldn’t see what was happening, but the sound of skin on skin on bone was unmistakable.
It smelled of blood and stale alcohol, causing your nose to wrinkle.
“You get used to the smell,” Flicker said loudly over the relentless din.
“I hope not!” You replied, clearing your throat.
The sergeant laughed, and you couldn’t resist a smile. You loved that sound.
Before you could once again ask about why you were there, Flicker led you to a little booth, shielded by transparisteel and flanked by two armed guards. Inside the booth stood a Besalisk who was accepting credits with all four arms, as people crowded around the booth.
“Vinor!” Flicker said cheerfully, as he released your hand to lean on the counter surrounding the booth.
“Sergeant!” Vinor replied, his deep voice booming through the speaker before him. “I see you brought your girl this time. Guess you can’t lose tonight.”
“No, I can’t, so double or nothing.”
“Double, huh? And what about you, little lady? Betting on your sergeant?”
You’d watched this exchange with a mixture of confusion and excitement. Flicker had talked about you to this guy? He called you his girl?
“Betting on my sergeant for what exactly?” you asked.
Vinor chuckled and gave Flicker a knowing look. “You’re in for it tonight, and I don’t mean in the ring.”
Your brow furrowed, as you folded your arms and gave your friend an expectant look.
Flicker gave you a sheepish grin, “So, remember how I said we pick up odd jobs for creds sometimes?”
“Yeah…”
Flicker led you closer to the edge of the arena, and gestured to the pit surrounded by the bloodthirsty crowd. In the center a male Togruta and a female Twi’lek battled fiercely.
“Noooo,” you said, shaking your head. “And Fox just lets you do this?”
“He pretends not to know, which is practically encouragement,” Flicker replied. “Come on, you didn’t think random security jobs were enough to pay for my speeder, right?”
“Guess not,” you conceded. “So a lot of you do this?”
“Just a few. Thorn, Dax, Mech, Clipper, and me.”
“Wow,” you tried to wrap your head around it. “And you’re good?”
He smirked, tilting his head at you. “What do you think?”
A chime sounded, and Flicker whipped off his shirt, giving you an eyeful of gorgeous brown skin, laced with faded scars here and there amongst his tattoos.
“Last call for bets. Bet on me, yeah? Then come back and watch me win.”
“Sir, yes, sir.” You zipped back to the booth and placed your bet with Vinor before squeezing through the crush of riled up spectators back to the side of the ring.
Flicker was in the middle of the ring, his hair held back with a red strip of cloth, and wearing the lower half of his blacks. Across from him stood a male Zabrak with brilliant orange skin, and an impressive ring of horns. Your stomach flipped as you watched the two of them circle one another.
Flicker made the first move, his right arm striking like lightning. It was as if a dam had broken. The two traded blows back and forth. Your head swept back and as you watched them work their way around the ring. Cringing when Flicker would take a hit, sighing with relief when he’d dodge one.
Arms and legs flew, teeth were bared, lips were busted, but they pressed on. The crowd roared around you, a many headed monster with only one desire. To see their chosen champion emerge victorious.
You found yourself screaming right along with them, chanting Flicker’s name loudly with his other supporters. After what seemed like ages, but in reality was only a few short minutes, Flicker pinned the Zabrak to the ground, manipulating his opponent’s arms and one of his legs in a complicated hold that rendered him unable to continue. The referee declared Flicker the winner, holding the trooper’s hand high to the screams of those who bet on him, and the jeers of those who bet against him.
You were screaming yourself hoarse, and hugging the female Togruta next to you like you were old friends. You looked up to see Flicker waltzing over, head held high, a grin on his face.
You moved to hug each other, but your heads went in the same direction, causing your lips to meet his in a rough, accidental kiss. You froze, and so did he.
“Hell yeah!” came the excited voice of a stranger somewhere behind you, which made both of you separate with a laugh.
“Sorry,” you stammered, feeling your face warm up.
“Don’t you dare apologize, cyar’ika…unless you’re not planning to do it again,” Flicker said, cupping your face.
“Oh,” you replied quietly, as you gazed into his bright, amber eyes.
“Yeah,” he said, leaning down slowly to steal another kiss from you. Your eyes slipped closed, as his lips moved gently but deliberately against yours.
“Hey,” you broke the kiss and pulled back slightly to look at him. “Can our next date not be at a fight club?”
“Our next date can be wherever you want,” he replied, kissing your cheek.

CHAPTER 2 - THE POLICE STATION
"[...]The two brothers sped through the streets of the city, the motorcycle roaring as it cut through the chilly morning air. Mauro clung tightly to Massimo’s waist, grateful for the thick jacket he’d thrown on before leaving. The cold bit even through the fabric, made sharper by the wind as they wove between lanes. Massimo, by contrast, seemed unaffected, his full highway patrol uniform, complete with insulated gloves, sturdy boots, and a heavy jacket, offering ample protection against the elements.
As they cruised through the city, Mauro’s eyes wandered over the bustling urban landscape. Morning routines were in full swing: commuters rushed toward bus stops or subway entrances, office workers hurried across crosswalks with coffees in hand, and cars lined up at intersections, their drivers leaning on horns in growing frustration. One thing struck Mauro more than anything else: the omnipresence of technology. Almost every person he saw was engaged with some kind of device. Smartphones were clutched in hands, wireless headphones adorned ears, and even sleek smart glasses glinted in the sunlight. It was as if the entire city was tethered together by invisible digital threads, connected, yet somehow vulnerable.
After about fifteen minutes of riding, they arrived at the police station. The building loomed ahead, a sturdy and imposing structure surrounded by a sprawling parking lot. Two of Massimo’s colleagues stood at the entrance, eyeing Mauro curiously as they passed, but saying nothing. Massimo guided the bike into the lot, parking neatly beside a line of patrol cars. Mauro dismounted, stretching his legs as he glanced around.
The inside of the station was a whirlwind of activity. Mauro found himself momentarily overwhelmed by the flurry of movement: officers in winter uniforms moved briskly down hallways, phones rang incessantly, and the hum of overlapping conversations filled the air. Some officers wore standard-issue gloves and hats, while others had scarves or neck warmers, clearly preparing for a long day out in the cold. Meanwhile, inside the warmth of the station, officers in office uniforms reviewed case files, answered phones, and coordinated plans. The sheer efficiency and organized chaos were mesmerizing to Mauro, who couldn’t help but admire how smoothly everything seemed to function.
Massimo quickly signed the register to log the start of his shift. Afterward, he approached the desk officer and asked about the captain’s availability. “Sorry, he’s tied up dealing with a robbery attempt downtown,” the officer replied.
Massimo turned to Mauro with a thoughtful smile. “Listen, what do you say we skip the introduction for now, and you come with me on patrol? Just a routine round, traffic checks, nothing too intense. It’ll be just the two of us today since my partner called in sick.”
Mauro’s eyes lit up with excitement. “Seriously? You’ll let me ride along?”
Massimo chuckled. “Sure, but don’t touch anything unless I tell you to,” he teased.[...]"

Warnings: Daryl teaching Daisy to drive, hints that Daisy has a Hyperthymesia Memory, angst about Noah’s fate and that’s about it for now my lovelies<3)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“A’ight, you got the clutch there ‘n the brake, and that one-”
“Everything sounds so-... complicated…”
“‘S a lot, I know. Don’t worry. You’ll get it. Now, you got the gears there, ‘n when you wanna switch gear all you gotta do is step on that one easy. Don’t wanna floor it on this one, a’ight? You know how to wire a car, now you gotta learn how to drive it” Daryl stated with determination, Daisy looking at him with unease “uncle Daryl, I-I can barely see out the windshield!”
“You’re fine. Ya ain’t that short anymore, you’re almost fourteen.”
“But-... shouldn’t I-.. like… be taller?”
“Can ya see the road?”
“Yeah.”
“Reach the steering wheel ‘n the pedals?”
“I-I guess.”
“Then you’re a’ight” he stated with a brief nod, Daisy sighing softly “now, you can also adjust the seat ‘n bring it back and forth if there’s not enough room fer your legs or if there is too much room and ya can’t reach the pedals, alright? So-”
“Why are you teaching me all of this, uncle Daryl?” she suddenly asked, turning to look at him in the car, a frown on her brows as he studied her before looking down “that thing that Aaron wanted ter show me? It was a bike. Ain’t up to runnin’ speed but I can fix it-”
“Really? Can I see it? Can you teach me?”
“First things first, you gotta learn to drive-”
“But why?”
“Aaron-... Aaron wants me ter go out with him, out here, past the walls… want me ter help him look for survivors, figure out if they can come in past the gates, like we did” he admitted quietly, daring to glance at Daisy to find her just staring at him. “So-... you’re-... you’re leaving?”
“Nah, nah it ain’t like that, alright? I ain’t never gonna leave ya. It’s just-”
“You’re leaving” she stated harshly, scoffing quietly as she looked out the window, Daryl sighing “nah, I’m not leavin’. I’ll come back, you really think I was gonna leave you?? Anyway, it ain’t set in stone. I won’t do it if yer not alright with it” he stated softly and she scoffed, shaking her head before reaching for the key, turning it before Daryl could ask her what she was doing. His hand went straight for the handle above his head as she turned the car around, a little sloppily, before driving back towards Alexandria, Daryl watching her closely with slightly wide eyes “ya know how ter drive?!” he asked in shock, Daisy just scoffing quietly, shaking her head “no… But I’ve seen you and daddy when you find a car, I remembered when you used the pedals and what happened, that’s all…”
“So what? Yer learned how ter drive from just-... lookin’?!”
“I guess, but you told me what to do and when to do it…” she muttered quietly, the rest of the car ride was relatively smooth, except a few times where she wasn’t quick enough to change gear, or pressed the wrong pedal. Everything else went smoothly, the gate slowly being opened and Daisy drove in, parking it in the middle of nowhere, basically just stopping, before getting out, the motor still running, she didn’t even bother to close the door as she walked back towards the house, Daryl sighing heavily in slight annoyance. Aaron walked over at the sight and cringed a little “you told her?”
“Yeah…”
“But you taught her to drive first, that’s something.”
“Nah.”
“What?”
“Nah, I ain’t taught her shit except how ter wire a damn car ‘n tell her what to do and when” he muttered with annoyance as he got out of the car, slamming the door shut before going around the side, leaning in to take out the car keys and close the door of the car, walking in front of it to rest against the hood of it. “But, she was driving-”
“Yeah, turns out she’s learned how ter drive by just-.. watching” he muttered, Aaron frowning at him “so, she’s a savant?”
“What?”
“A sort of genius, you know, really smart-”
“Nah, I know what it means, I just-... nah, she’s just good at rememberin’ things, apparently…”
“Yeah… Deanna says that she remembers every name of everyone you’ve ever lost…” Aaron stated, Daryl nodding ever so slightly, looking down. “But, at least now we know she can drive a car, that’s good, right?”
“I ain’t drivin’ with her like that again until she’s able to drive properly. She can make it go forward, that’s ‘bout it” he muttered, Aaron chuckling lightly, shaking his head ever so slightly “well, it’s something. Nowadays we have to move forward, right? She’s just way ahead of us, already going in the right direction” he joked lightly, Daryl scoffing briefly with amusement. That was one way to put it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Delilah!”
Daisy sat up on her bed when she heard her name, frowning, waiting to see if she had just imagined it when she heard it again, this time a little louder.
“DELILAH!”
She walked over to her window, looking out to see her uncle down there, waving her down and she sighed, walking down the stairs and out the front door to see him walk around and meet her at the front, something standing out by the sidewalk, covered by some sort of blanket. “What?”
“Ya wanted ter see the bike, right?” he asked and she nodded, Daryl nodding as he pulled off the tarp, Daisy’s eyes widening a little and she tried to hide her smile, which made Daryl smirk “you gonna help me fix it or nah?” he asked, Daisy studying him before jogging over, looking over the bike with a big grin. Daryl studied her before nudging her shoulder a little to get her attention “hey, I ain’t goin’ out there if you don’t want me to, a’ight?...” he asked softly, Daisy studying him before sighing, looking back down at the bike “well, what else are you gonna do? Besides, I know you need to be out there every now and then, I do too… except you’re allowed to because you’re an adult…” she muttered, Daryl nodding with a brief ‘mhm’ sound before gesturing to the bike again “wanna help me get ‘er in the garage?” he asked and she grinned at him as her only response, making Daryl smirk “a’ight, c’mon, you push from behind ‘n I steer, a’ight?” he asked and Daisy nodded with a smirk, walking behind the bike, helping him get it into the garage, then helping him carry all the parts that Aaron had apparently collected, carrying them back and forth, a new smile on her lips.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
“Hey, Noah!! Uncle Glenn!” Daisy ran up to them, panting ever so slightly as she caught up to them, handing them a small note “uncle Daryl needs some of these. He says they’re really rare but you’re going to that warehouse thing, right?” Noah nodded as he read over the list, frowning as he tried to read the handwriting “y-yeah, uh… I-I’m sorry what does this say?”
“That? Oh, that’s-... uh… hold on” she muttered, taking the note back, tilting it a little before grinning and handing it back to him “it says ‘air filter’. Oh, and this one here says ‘rear axle’, whatever that is” she stated with a shrug, Noah frowning a little “okay, but-... you know we’re not going to a mechanical shop or something, right?”
“But you’re going to a warehouse, right?”
“Yeah.”
“And these kinds of parts get made in factories and sent to warehouses, right?”
“I mean-... I guess-”
“Let me know if you find them” she stated with a grin, interrupting him which she seemed fully aware of, turning around to face Glenn who walked over. “How are you?”
“Uncle Daryl left, but other than that, I’m okay.”
“Really? You don’t miss him?”
“Of course I do, but I want to be here, it’s better for me here… at least that’s what people keep telling me” she stated with a hesitant shrug, Glenn smirking slightly at her “I’m proud of you. And you really did look pretty in that dress. Have you talked to Carl?” he asked and she rolled her eyes and groaned, making him smirk with amusement “take care” he called and she scoffed “you too! Or I’ll-... be really mad at all of you!” she shouted as the loud music blasted and the car drove off, letting out a brief huff before looking up at Maggie, finding her already looking at her. “So, have you talked to Carl?”
“No! No, and I don’t intend to…” she muttered the last part quietly, Maggie studying her “he was just nervous-”
“And he told me I was ugly in the dress. The least he could have done was lied” she muttered and walked off, Maggie sighing heavily. “Trouble in paradise?” Deanna asked with a fond smile, Maggie studying her before sighing, looking down “those two are like magnets. She’ll get over it. She just doesn’t know how nervous she makes him” Maggie admitted with a small grin, Reg chuckling lightly “I remember those days, they still come around every now and then” he muttered as he nudged Deanna with his elbow, making her chuckle and scoff lightly, shaking her head with amusement while Reg gave Maggie a small smile “they’ll both get over it” he promised before walking off with Deanna, Maggie nodding to herself “they better, I can’t stand the silence between them for much longer” she admitted quietly.
----------------------------------------------------
Daisy grimaced a little as she suddenly cut her thumb, wincing and dropping both the arrow with the new feather that had to be trimmed and the knife she had used to trim it, looking at her thumb, the red liquid slowly appearing, forming almost a bubble on top of her finger as she just stared at the blood. She frowned ever so slightly as she just continued to stare at it, the dark red liquid almost fascinating to her. She hesitated, slowly lifting her thumb to her mouth. It wouldn’t be the same as a bite, right? She had been scratched. Surely she wouldn’t turn from her own blood. Right? Her eyes were focused on the blood as it came closer and closer, almost at her lips-
“Are you okay?” she flinched and looked up, eyes wide as Carl stood there with Judith, Daisy’s heart starting to race and she nodded, looking down with a frown as she wiped her bloody thumb on her jeans, clearing her throat “yeah…”
“I didn’t mean it, you know… I just-... you looked really pretty in that dress… and-... and I hate not talking to you, so, I’m sorry” he stated softly and Daisy looked up at him, studying how sincere he looked and she gave a small nod, forcing a smile “it’s okay… I overreacted anyway” she stated with a shrug, looking down at her still bleeding thumb and Carl walked up the steps to the porch. He placed Judith in a rocking chair, smiling at her before walking over, ripping some of his shirt off before Daisy could protest, wrapping it around her thumb, pressing down lightly on it. She studied him under his hat, her heart starting to race and when he looked at her she quickly looked down, awkwardly pulling her hand out of his grip, adjusting the torn fabric wrapped around it before picking the knife and the arrow back up again “thanks” she muttered quietly, going back to trimming the feather on her arrow. Carl watched her for a while longer before sitting down in the chair next to hers by a small table, the furniture there meant to be for lounging. “So… are we okay?”
“Yeah. Yeah, we’re always okay, Carl” she stated with a sincere smile, smiling at him before looking back at her arrow, finishing trimming it before putting it aside, reaching down and picking up yet another arrow with new feathers that needed to be trimmed before the arrow could fly properly. “You got some new arrows.”
“Yeah, when I was out last a few of them broke or got stuck in walkers.”
“You were out there?”
“Yeah.”
“Why didn’t you say anything??” his question made her halt, her head lifting to look at him and then at Judith, sighing softly “because-... because I still don’t trust them. And someone has to be with Judith and watch out for her…” she stated in a factly voice, looking back at Carl who sighed heavily “she’s safe here, I can come with you next tim-”
“She’s not safe here! Nowhere is safe” she whispered harshly, her eyes a little wide and although she had a look of annoyance on her face, he could see the fear in her eyes. He had known that look of fear for two, almost three, years now. “We are. It’s okay, we’re safe here-”
“Until we’re not” she whispered, looking around nervously before looking back at him “what if they decide that they don’t need us anymore? Hm? What if they don’t like us, what if they suddenly don’t want to share their food with us? O-Or demand something for it?”
“Is-... is that why you’ve gone out so much? You’ve been hunting?”
“I found a working freezer in the garage-”
“You’ve kept food in there??”
“It’s only a matter of time, Carl” she whispered, her voice wavering a little and he sighed heavily “Daisy, it won’t happen-”
“It will! Why can’t any of you see that?! They don’t care about us! I’m trying to keep us together, alive… I’m trying to make sure we have options when eventually they’ll demand some sort of repayment for their ‘hospitality’. We almost starved out on the road and I won’t let us starve again” she whispered quietly, a pleading look in her eyes and Carl sighed “it won’t happen-”
“You think that, but I don’t. I know it will. I’m just preparing…” she admitted quietly with a frown, going back to work on her arrows, keeping silent as Carl studied her, the furrow of her brows, how panicked her eyes actually were.
“HELP!” both of them looked up at the shouting and the sound of a car screeching to a halt, the gate being shut quickly, the metal ringing as the wall and the gate collided and the large lock was slid in place to hold it. Daisy was about to run down when she stopped Carl, who was right behind her “Judith. You can’t just leave Judith” she said softly before running down the steps, sprinting to the gate where she halted completely at the sight of Tara, unconscious, bleeding profusely from her head, both Glenn and Eugene covered in blood, the latter one hurrying Tara to the clinic while Nicholas was the last to exit the van, bleeding from his face and when she saw Glenn’s red knuckles, she had an idea of why his face looked like that. “Uncle Glenn! What happened? What happened with Tara?” she asked quickly as she ran over to him, giving what was intended for a brief hug but he held on to her, his shoulders shaking as he tried to keep his composure and that’s when it clicked for her. Six people had left Alexandria. Four had returned.
“W-Where’s Noah? Where- is he okay? What happened?” Daisy had to force Glenn to let go of her, staring up at him with wide eyes, Carl finally catching up after making sure Judith was in her room and in her crib. “Uncle Glenn? Where’s Noah?” she asked more quietly, Glenn looking at Nicholas with utter hatred, her eyes following his gaze and she frowned before looking into the open van for any clue, finding his notebook laying there. “Uncle Glenn?” she asked a final time, looking up at Glenn who pulled her into another hug, this time it was her who needed it, eyes filling with tears as she held onto him. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry, I had him. I’m sorry” he whispered, Daisy shaking her head as she continued to cling to him “it’s okay. It’s okay” she muttered, parting from him only for Carl to hug her tightly, sighing softly. “Is he like them?” Daisy asked as she turned to look at Glenn, his silence only making tears form in her eyes and she nodded, trying to gather herself “how?” she asked, Glenn glaring at Nicholas before looking back at Daisy, the young girl nodding ever so slightly, following him back to the house with Rick and Carl, a look of rage on her face, hidden behind the tears “this is exactly what I’m talking about. They’re picking us off, one by one…” she muttered to herself, fists clenched and Rick gave her a worried glance, sharing that glance with Glenn when he turned to look at him before continuing towards the house, Rick gently catching Carl on the way, nodding towards Daisy “keep an eye on her, alright?” he asked quietly, Carl nodding and he nodded in return.
An apocalyptic world I made up. Mc up there is listening to music late at night, when suddenly cir family wakes up and starts shambling to the front door–But Something's Wrong oooooooo. Their eyes are glowing a whitish-blue, and they don't seem to notice cim when ci puts cir hand on their shoulders. Ci hides in a doorway to see what's happening. When cir little brother opens the door, a giant obsidian Creature is waiting, and promptly devours mc's numb, unresponsive family. How shocking! Ci quickly creeps to a hiding spot, but in cir panic, one of cir earbuds falls out. Ci can hear in the exposed ear a soft whirring, so soft, so gentle, so calming and friendly. It's only the music still playing in cir other ear that saves cim from being completely carried away. Recognizing this, ci sluggishly replaces the earbud, and immediately cir mind is clear again- just in time to see that the Creature has entered the room, and begun to make its way towards cim. As soon as the earbud is fully in, however, the Creature lifts its satellite-dish-like head and turns it around, looking confused. It circles the room, its head swiveling frantically like some dog or cat trying to find a smell, and as it passes mc, it's all ci can do to keep quiet, but it finds nothing and leaves.
After a millenium, or perhaps a millisecond, of waiting, mc leaves cir hiding spot and starts to pack a backpack. A flashlight, some batteries, some food. Ci also seeks out cir cat, and finds her hiding beneath the couch, ears flattened against her skull, pupils and fur blown all the way up. She calms a bit at mc's soft, feathery soft murmuring, recognizing her name and the voice who spoke it, but refuses to leave her spot until mc opens up a can of tuna. After she's swallowed all of the can's contents, eyes and ears darting here and there, she's calm enough that mc can gently lower her into the backpack.
Ci creeps out the open door and makes cir way to the nearby shopping district, ducking between shadows with cir hands plastered to cir ears, desperately keeping the earbuds. Through them, ci occasionally hears loud metal or rap playing, sometimes from cars with huddled and shaking people, sometimes from other wanderers who clutch little bluetooth speakers in their white-knuckled hands. From cir place in the shadows, ci notices that the Creatures–there are so many Creatures–tend to take a wide berth around those beacons of presumably earsplitting melodies. After ci passes the empty street and enters the nearest electronics store, ci's grateful to find that, even though all of the speakers have been looted, there are still noise-cancelling headphones left. Ci takes three pairs, hanging two around cir neck and putting one over cir ears before swiftly switching the plugs in cir phone's jack. Feeling safer, ci flits as smoothly as ci can to the convenience store, opens a can of wet food for the cat, and formulates a plan over a bottle of water and some donuts.
Ci makes cir way back home, grabs cir little brother's acoustic guitar and tuner, and loads everything securely into a wagon, which ci attaches behind cir bike. Ci raids the nearest plant nursery for as many crops and medicinal herbs as ci can fit, then the bookstore for guidebooks for how to grow and use them, and follows the river out of town, away from the Creatures.
Out in the country, ci builds a little house out of materials ci finds. Ci spends cir nights awake, slamming away at the guitar's strings and singing at the top of cir lungs until ci's hoarse, and spends the rest of it with cir headphones on, humming to cirself. During the mornings and evenings, ci plants cir crops and maps out the area. Daytime, now marked by a sun which hangs like a pendant of onyx in the white sky, is the only time it's safe to sleep.
And that's it. Mc lives alone on a little sanctuary with cir cat, offering asylum to those who come across cim.
Alright, let's dive into this Samsung Galaxy Watch7 review. We all know how Samsung is always pushing the limits with their tech, right? Well, guess what? They’ve done it again with the latest Galaxy Watch7! If you're thinking about upgrading your smartwatch game, stick around, because I'm about to break it down for you in a chill, real-world kinda way. Introduction to the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 The Samsung Galaxy Watch7 is Samsung's latest leap into the smartwatch world. It’s designed to blend advanced health tracking, fitness features, and smart connectivity into one sleek package. It does everything from keeping tabs on your heart rate to letting you answer texts without picking up your phone. Now, why did I decide to give it a spin? Simple—I was on the lookout for something that could handle both my workout routines and daily tasks, without needing constant charging or complicated setups. I wanted a smartwatch that didn’t just track steps or calories, but one that could act as a full-time assistant on my wrist. Design That Slaps Right off the bat, the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 just looks clean. Like, it’s not over the top flashy, but still has that “yeah, I’m wearing a premium watch” vibe. The circular face is slick, and they’ve nailed that balance between a traditional watch look and modern tech. It's lightweight too, so you won’t feel like you’re strapping a brick to your wrist. But let’s be real—when we buy a smartwatch, it’s gotta look good on the 'gram and, you know, not just be functional. Samsung nailed the design, and I’ve gotta say, it looks super dope with pretty much any outfit. Performance & Features: Does It Stack Up? So, performance. Is the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 just another pretty face? Nah, fam, it’s got the brains too. The battery life, for instance, is way better than expected. No joke, this thing can keep going for days, even if you’re using all the fitness and health features. Speaking of health stuff, it’s packed with everything you could want—heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, blood oxygen, all that jazz. Here’s what’s super cool though: the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 isn’t just for fitness junkies. It's got a bunch of smart features like notifications, music control, and even payments. It syncs up with your phone smoothly, so if you’re deep into the Samsung ecosystem, this thing will fit right in like the missing puzzle piece. Customization: Your Wrist, Your Rules This part is gonna make a lot of folks happy. The Samsung Galaxy Watch7 lets you go wild with customization. Want to switch up the watch face? Easy. Need a band that screams "I’m casual but still cool"? They’ve got you. It’s all about making the watch feel you, and Samsung’s got you covered. Fitness & Health Features: Not Just for Gym Rats Okay, let’s get into the fitness side of things. If you're serious about staying fit, the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 might just become your new workout buddy. It tracks literally everything: running, biking, swimming—heck, it even knows when you're on a treadmill. Plus, it’s waterproof, so no excuses when it rains. The watch also keeps an eye on your heart rate and blood oxygen levels like a little health virtuoso on your wrist. It’s like having a personal trainer with none of the yelling. And for the sleep-deprived (aren't we all?), the sleep-tracking feature is clutch. It gives you a breakdown of how you're sleeping, and yeah, it might guilt-trip you into getting more Z’s. Sorry, Netflix. Features of the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 The Samsung Galaxy Watch7 is packed with a range of features that make it a powerful tool for fitness, health, and day-to-day convenience. Let’s break them down. 1. Fitness and Health Tracking Heart Rate Monitor: Keeps track of your heart rate in real-time, whether you're working out or chilling. It even alerts you if your heart rate dips too low or spikes too high. Sleep Tracking: Tracks your sleep patterns, breaking down light, deep, and REM sleep.
If you're like me, this helps you figure out whether you're actually sleeping well or just lying there pretending. Blood Oxygen Monitor: Monitors your blood oxygen levels, giving you insights into your breathing and overall fitness. Workout Tracking: Automatically detects workouts like running, swimming, biking, and even treadmill sessions. This helps ensure you don't have to manually input your activities—just start moving, and the watch will do the rest. Effectiveness: These fitness features are incredibly helpful if you're trying to stay on top of your health. The workout tracking is spot-on, giving you detailed stats that can help you push yourself. The sleep tracking? It might even guilt-trip you into getting better rest! 2. Smart Features Notifications and Calls: You can receive and respond to messages, calls, and app notifications straight from your wrist. This is perfect if you're someone who's always on the go and can't always pull out your phone. Samsung Pay: Quick, tap-to-pay functionality right from the watch. Super convenient if you're the type to forget your wallet. Music Control: Control your playlist without having to reach for your phone. It syncs with Spotify and other apps to give you seamless control over your tunes. Usefulness: These features are a game-changer for multitaskers. You’ll never miss a call or text because the watch keeps you in the loop. Plus, Samsung Pay saves the day when you’re in a hurry. Honestly, once you start using these features, it's hard to imagine going back to a regular watch. 3. Customization Options Watch Faces: There’s a whole range of customizable watch faces, from minimalist designs to ones loaded with info like weather, heart rate, and more. Interchangeable Bands: The bands are easily swappable, so you can go from sporty to classy in a snap. Whether you're hitting the gym or attending a meeting, there's a look for every occasion. Effectiveness: Customization is key, and the Galaxy Watch7 lets you make it your own. Whether it’s the watch face or the band, you can tweak everything to fit your mood, outfit, or activity. This makes the watch feel more personal like it’s tailored to your lifestyle. 4. Battery Life Multi-day Battery: Samsung promises a battery life of up to several days on a single charge, depending on usage. Even with heavy use of fitness and smart features, you can go a couple of days without reaching for the charger. Usefulness: A long-lasting battery is a lifesaver when you're using it all day for fitness tracking, notifications, and music. You won’t constantly be hunting for a charger, and that’s a huge plus. 5. Seamless Integration with Samsung Ecosystem Syncs with Samsung Devices: If you're already in the Samsung ecosystem, this watch plays nice with everything—phones, tablets, even Samsung TVs. It integrates smoothly and allows for things like answering calls, controlling media, or even unlocking your devices. Effectiveness: If you’re deep into the Samsung ecosystem, this integration feels seamless. It’s like adding an extra layer of convenience to your already-connected life, which is super satisfying. If not, no worries—it still works well with other Android devices. Overall Feature Evaluation All in all, the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 delivers features that are not just flashy, but practical. Whether you’re a fitness enthusiast or just want an extension of your smartphone on your wrist, this watch gets the job done. Each feature feels like it has a purpose, helping you stay on top of your goals—whether they’re health-related or just making life a little more convenient. Is It Worth It? Final Thoughts So, is the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 the move? Honestly, if you’re looking for something that blends style, function, and a boatload of features, this could be it. It’s more than just a fitness tracker—it’s a full-blown lifestyle tool that can keep up with you whether you're hitting the gym or just hitting snooze.
Bottom line? If you’re already in the Samsung ecosystem or want a smartwatch that does everything, the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 is gonna make you pretty happy.
Smooth Rides Start with Motorcycle Repair in London
Tumblr media
The Importance of Timely Motorcycle Repair
Motorcycles are complicated machines, designed for glow and benefits alike. However, even the most strong bikes can be delayed if their service is neglected. In a full metropolis like London, where riders face different road conditions, timely repairs become critical. Minor issues left unchecked—like worn brake pads or fraying cables—can lead to catastrophic failures. Regular maintenance not only preserves the integrity of the bike but also guarantees that every ride, whether for work or quite, stays smooth and hassle-free.
Common Motorcycle Issues Riders Face in London
Urban riding presents a unique set of challenges. London’s pothole-ridden streets, unpredictable weather, and heavy traffic take a toll on motorcycles. Riders often experience brake failure, chain slippage, clutch troubles, and electrical glitches. Many also struggle with degraded tires due to the stop-start nature of city traffic. Engine overheating is another common complaint, especially when navigating through London’s iconic yet crowded way. These issues, if not addressed quickly, compromise not only performance but also the safety of the rider.
How Professional Repairs Ensure Safe and Smooth Rides
Attempting to fix a motorcycle with basic know-how often results in temporary solutions, leaving the door open for further breakdowns. Professional mechanics, on the other hand, bring Skill and clarity to every repair. They can spot hidden problems that may not be clear to the untrained eye, preventing a larger break down the line. In addition to resolving mechanical issues, a skilled repair service fine-tunes the bike, aligning brakes, chains, and suspension for a silky-smooth ride. Trusting experts ensure that every twist of the throttle feels seamless and every corner is taken with confidence.
Choosing the Right Repair Service in London
Finding the right repair shop can feel very difficult, given the arrangement of options in the city. However, sharp riders know the value of selecting services with a solid reputation. Look for mechanics with specialized motorcycle expertise and original parts, as these guarantee a longer-lasting fix. Many shops in London also offer rental bikes or express repairs, minimizing downtime for those who rely on their two-wheelers daily. Whether it's a local favorite tucked in a side street or a well-known name, the right repair service transforms your bike from a clunky liability back into a reliable, smooth-riding companion.
In a city as dynamic as London, smooth rides aren’t just about performance—they’re about freedom. Regular repairs ensure your motorcycle can handle whatever the city throws your way, keeping you on the road without a hitch.
Conclusion
In a city like London, where every journey counts, keeping your bike in top shape is essential. Motorcycle repair in London is more than just fixing issues—it's about ensuring safety, enhancing performance, and maintaining the greatfull of riding. With the right repair service by your side, you can glide through the city's streets smoothly, knowing your motorcycle is ready to implement every mile ahead.
So like - y'all know how you have to learn to drive a car? and like, in theory its easy right - go peddle is vroom, stop peddle is eeeek and spinny wheel turns, that's all there is to it, right? (lol)
As many who have had the opportunity to drive a vehicle probably know, there's more to it. There's turn signals, there's dash controllers, there's things you monitor, things you watch out for, there's an intuition you develop for how your drives, when it feels... 'off' even if that check engine light isn't yet on. You know how the brakes 'feel' and at what interval to apply pressure to break smoothly, or how to turn sharply while still maintaining control to avoid a collision.
These are all instinctive skills we develop as we learn and practice driving.
Horses are very much the same - and they can also decide to NOT do what you tell them to do, have anxiety reactions you cannot control but must adapt to, and have unique personalities. Most Ford Fiestas are gonna drive comparably. Two Arabian horses? Good luck.
So. Yes. The theory is there, and with practice and bond-building and knowing your horse, or even developing overall skill, you can just pop on a horse.
Folks who have been on horses that plodded along on the trail or pathed around an arena - those horses have been trained to do that before you ever got on them. You're not steering them. That's what it was taught to do when the 'driver' isn't really driving. And that's not a bad thing! That's wonderful to give new riders a safe experience, to let adventurers go on trail rides without having to develop years and years of skills in advance. It's a fabulous way to maybe get over fear, or bond with a gentle beast that knows it's the expert in the situation and is more than fine with it. They are the calm ones, even if their rider is anxious and clutching the saddle nervously. They're good at being steady for you.
And yes, I suppose, technically that counts as riding a horse, but in the same way that sitting on the handlebars of a bike while your romantic partner pedals and steers behind you counts as riding a bike. Yes - you're balancing on it, and yes, you're along for the ride, and no those aren't bad or silly or anything negative. But it's not the first thing people will think of when they ask "can you ride a bike" is all.
I always thought it was like an exaggeration when horse people would talk about how silly it was for anyone to think that riding a horse does not require any particular level of skill or balance or anything, or even that they "drive themselves" (???) but just the tags on the reblogs of that "can you ride a bike and/or horse" post from me alone are demonstrating how overconfident some people are in their (often entirely theoretical!) ability to stay on an alive and moving animal with a will of its own.
Double the Power Fun
For a brand known for single-cylinder bikes, Bajaj is cooking up a surprise—a twin-cylinder engine. Imagine the thrill! Could it be the answer to the cool success of Royal Enfield's twin-cylinder 650 platform? Rumor has it that Bajaj and KTM were planning a 490cc twin-cylinder engine in 2020, and they even trademarked it as Twinner.
Twinner: No Frills, Just Thrills
Bajaj's Twinner trademark is refreshingly simple. No extra tags. This hints at it blending smoothly with existing models like the Pulsar. Picture this: Bajaj Pulsar 500 Twinner, where Twinner becomes the stamp of a new riding experience.
Style and Substance by Design
A guy named Pratyush Rout is behind the cool design. He mixed Pulsar's tough look with classic touches. Think round headlights like the first Pulsar, a sporty stepped rear seat, and a tweaked fuel tank. It's like a mashup of styles from different bike worlds.
Features That Turn Heads
The Pulsar 500 Twinner borrows some cool stuff from the Dominar 400, like those round headlights that nod to motorcycle history. The instrument cluster rocks twin circular pods, adding a touch of class. Golden front forks and Nissin calipers on disc brakes make it look even more awesome. If it hits the market, it'll outshine the soon-to-be-launched 400cc single-cylinder Pulsar.
Performance in the Spotlight
Get ready for some power! The Pulsar 500 Twinner aims for around 60 bhp of power and 50Nm of torque, thanks to a wider engine. It's not just about power; it's packed with modern features like a 4V head, DOHC setup, liquid cooling, quick-shifter, throttle-by-wire, and a slipper clutch for a super fun ride. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZE7yAKPcuiw&pp=ygUOVGhlIFB1bHNhciA1MDA
Wrapping it Up
Bajaj's dive into twin-cylinder engines, hinted by the Twinner trademark and the sneak peek of the Pulsar 500 Twinner, is a big move. It's a mix of cool design and powerful performance, setting the stage for an exciting chapter in Bajaj's motorcycle story.
