The squeals, the excitement, the kissing, he said “baby!”, the grumbly voice saying “let’s be bad.”
🔥🔥🔥🔥 fuck yeah!
ps - I do love how the writers served up most of what people have been lamenting about missing from Chenford and gave us those moments via #jave. I see what you did there! boom

I have a question. Feel free to respond privately and I won't ask further, what disappointed you about ruin? Sincerely, another skeptical and cautious fnaf fan from the very beginning of this fandom (thus why i get if you wanna respond privately, fnaf fans can be brutal :/)
To be completely honest? Ruin felt like an entire fanservice sandwich shoved down my throat forcefully
There's a lot of things that rubbed me the wrong way with Ruin, just the general vibe was so off and it emanated an aura of Steel Wool going "guys!!! look!!!!! we put EVERYTHING the fandom asked for, even if it would not make sense for the general plot!!!"
Which, is fine and all if done right, but it just feels like listening to feedback, without really addressing the series' main concerns. Like, putting a band-aid with your favorite cartoons on it over a bullet hole. Do you get what I'm saying about this?
Anyways so sorry about that small rant here's a stupid little doodle I made back then when I was still a Sai user (I think)

The tale Lestat told of his turning was met justifiably by open suspicion from Claudia (“Magnus could be a sous chef in Switzerland for all we know.”) and unspoken doubt from Louis. It speaks to the unnavigable depths of mistrust created by Lestat’s actions that the pair have to question even the horrific violence he describes receiving (“One sob story about his birth”) or the complicated trauma caused by Magnus’ suicide (“I think he killed Magnus.”). The only person who could possibly verify the truthfulness of this story is Armand; he met Lestat shortly after the latter became a vampire, he knew Magnus and what he was capable of longer than Lestat did (“[...] one of my deserters”), and he has a penchant for perusing the minds of others. Armand sharing this knowledge could provide Daniel with a better understanding of the events and subjects of the interview, as well as help Louis parse his complicated feelings for Lestat. It is striking then that when recounting his shared past with Lestat to Daniel, which is presumably the same story he had previously given to Louis, Armand is careful to never say anything that could fully corroborate or dispel those suspicions. When Daniel calls attention to this (“To hear Louis tell it, Lestat becoming a vampire was a horror show.”), Armand gracefully deflects (“That may be.”) and heavily insinuates that Lestat is not someone who can be trusted; calling into question the extent of the trauma that Lestat expressed over a century later (“But he made a remarkable recovery shortly thereafter.”), before describing Lestat as a skilled manipulator (“[...] his hand feeding the audience”), using imagery that paints Lestat’s words as equally captivating as they are fantastical (“How words came out like canaries, summer fruit in the dead of winter.”). The quickness in which Armand concludes that Magnus must be dead (“He’s died, hasn’t he?”) suggests that Lestat could only be free if he was, but still leaves it ambiguous whether Lestat played a role in his demise. While Armand confirms that there is truth to Lestat’s claim that he was not given any guidance by Magnus (“I can teach you what he didn’t.”), the subsequent accusation that Lestat pretended to reciprocate Armand’s love in order to learn that knowledge means that Lestat is still positioned as dishonest. By maintaining and reinforcing this uncertainty about Lestat through opening up about his own past, Armand is looking to gain a degree of sympathy and trust from Daniel, as well as reinforce the image that he would not deceive others.

if 9&10 were "dont wander off", and 11&12 were "the doctor lies", 13s rule #1 is "dont question me"
"have we not had a good time together" shes pointing yaz to the rule that yaz very well knows is there: we can travel if you dont ask me any difficult questions. yaz knows this is the rule - "because you ask too many questions", "this team structure isnt flat" - but she also was the one to invite the doctor into her home so im pretty sure she also knows shes not gonna kicked out that easily. she has some leeway. which she has been using between revolution and flux, which is why the doctor reminds her of the rules
i dont think she'd kick her out though. she wouldnt. i think it's just that the more you break the rule, the more unpleasant she becomes to be around, and eventually youre gonna walk out on your own. she doesnt want you to, she'd rather you stay and dont ask questions. but if youre gonna try to ask questions anyway, i think thats whats gonna happen
and yaz must think so too. because she does back off. because she doesnt want that to happen either. and it does anyway
#dont question me/dont challenge me. questions are the sore spot but the challenge is one she says explicitly once#because you see this in how she is with other people too. dont try her patience. dont act like shes smaller. dont challenge her or Die#based on the giggle - 'i thought i was clever' 'what do i say?! because im always sooo certain' - i dont think 14 is like this#also based on the expressions of affection#hes not that......reactive. to this. specific thing#so i wonder if it runs over to 15#he seems chill. i think? he seems fairly chill. but also i think we've so far only seen him mostly in control of things#faced with the maestro temporarily not entirely in control hes Notably Less Chill#but still bigger picture. hes mostly in control of things right now i think#or uhhhh based on how eager he seems to get out of the role of doctor#hmmmmm#13 didnt want it but like. was stuck with it i think#didnt want it but nobody else was gonna do it. thats why 12 regenerated#15 comes out 14 Literally Quitting#he doesnt want it and hes decided hes not stuck with it. maybe#none of this is true btw im just saying words recreationally#like those 13 moments are super cherrypicked and i havent rewatched in forever so#dont believe me gfkjghgjh#this is based more on how i write them than what ive seen basically#anyway in terms of 14/yaz i think it takes yaz a while to figure out how to deal with 14 Not being like this#bc she got soooo practiced at handling 13. most of which was abt like not tripping this rule too much#she'd keep it up with 14 and he'd just do stuff that like breaks the rule from his side and yaz wouldnt have any idea how to deal with it#he'd show her hes chilled out a bit. about this. over and over and it'd still take her moooooonthssssssss to start relaxing#just muscle memory at this point. doesnt help that shes also like this#i wonder if 14 - in a sort of compelte reversal - wants to be told what to do and how to do and#seeks out situations where someone else knows more than him so he can sit down and say 'teach me'#i think thats what he does. about all the human stuff. hes like teach me. all of it. show me how to do this

something something something loki's love for sylvie more appropriately manifesting as platonic rather than romantic because his love for her is a lesson in healing--particularly the inner child that still holds resentment towards a lying, unaffectionate father. loki's heart breaks for sylvie because it breaks for him too. he sees her and views the version of himself that is still angry and deeply, deeply wounded. his affection stems from the empathy of understanding what it is to have had a narrative for their life controlled/manipulated for them. in their sameness, loki offers the compassion he wishes he would've gotten or would've been able to receive. and because to turn back on her would be to turn back on himself. loki allows himself to be something other than the trickster god he made himself out to be in a desperate plea at taking back control. it is mobius that tells him he can be other than what he was and offers him another mode of survival, all of it a lesson in love. sylvie teaches loki radical self-love, how to show up for himself and others, and mobius is the conduit through which loki practices this healthier way of loving.

i am absolutely going bonkers about this moment actually
ecause firstly this is a narratively nice moment where Konoe realizes that he can improve and learn from his mistakes, and by helping them build a case against Owada he can start his long road to redemption. This is also the case for Zenkichi, since he is arresting the guy who kidnapped his fucking daughter, and making another step in the progress of avenging his wife by getting the killer locked up. It's great, i love it, ten out of ten scene.
But then i thought about the dialogue for a second and lost my marbles for a bit because of course i did.
Because where the hell does Konoe think Zenkichi's reference to him being a hero comes from? This is obviously referenced in the Calling Card, (villain who thinks he is a hero, flaunting a false sense of justice, etc) but its not really a comment to make while you're arresting someone and you are trying to sincerely make the situation clear to them, to motivate them to do what they are supposed to do for the greater good, if you dont know that a comment like that will have a profound effect on them. the only reason why i can see this being a referential jab from the calling card if Zenkichi is mocking him. But he didn't! this was a serious moment!
so does konoe realize that? i dont know, but i have the image of him unpacking this shit in therapy a year later and just 'I wanted to help others, to be a hero like those that i saw on TV... [this event hits him in the head after a year of not properly thinking about it] ...hold on.'

dunno why but orion black slapping the ‘best protective spells known to wizardkind’ on grimmauld place prompts the image of him knowing sirius ran away the moment sirius made the decision. like the house wakes him up all “MASTER!! MASTER THERE IS A DISTURBANCE!!” so orion goes to sirius’ room in his snork mimimi nightshirt and makes direct eye contact with his oldest son. who is halfway through the window with his school trunk and an ancient broom orion’s quite certain he bought for himself when he turned 23. and sirius lifts his middle finger to his mouth shush and flip orion off simultaneously and orion simply turns back around and goes back to bed. because that’s fair and most importantly something to deal with when he isn’t still half drunk from his nightly nightcap.

hi, chara!
do the golden flowers have any other significance to you? if not, then what else does?
* The golden flowers from my village.
* I always liked those flowers. They never hurt me.
* I related to them more than humans. I wished I could be like them. But I would always be human.
* Flowers are good listeners. When life felt too hard, like I just couldn't keep going, I would confide in them. They were there for me. They would always listen to me.
* The flowers were like my best friend.
* No matter where I went, I would always eventually come back to the flowers.
* Even in death.
* ...
* I missed them when I was in the underground.
* After I died, when I carried my body to the surface, I finally got to see them again for the first time in years.
* It was like seeing an old friend again.
* I would have loved to take a moment to catch them up on my life so far...
* ...Before carrying out our grim mission.
* But that's stupid.
* Plants can't talk.
- - - - -
* When I laid my body in the flowers, the seeds stuck to me.
* And when Asriel brought me back home, they spread across the garden, along with our dust.
* The next day, a single flower bloomed.
* After Toriel left, Asgore poured all of his love and care into those seeds, and soon, a beautiful garden was blossoming from our dust.
* ...What the hell compelled Asgore to make tea out of that?
- - - - -
* When Toriel took me to give me a proper burial, some of the seeds must have still been stuck to me, because flowers soon grew where I was buried.
* That, or Toriel decided to honor my last wish by bringing some seeds with her when she left for the Ruins...
* ...Laying me to rest among the flowers I so loved.
* Whatever the case may be, from that point onward, the flowers would always be there to ease the pain of any who fell,
* Just as they were always there to ease mine.
