UnF*uk Your Mind

Most people want to get fit, but most people won't. Most people want to build successful businesses, but the reality is they won't. The reason most people won't do these things is because their brains are f*cked. And if your brains f*cked well, you are f*cked.

In order to build anything great, you must have the ability to focus. Focus on one particular task for hours, days, or weeks. And if your brain is f*cked, how do you expect to do that?

So this is how to unf*ck your brain. 

Part 1: YOU ARE DISTRACTED

I think focus is vital to building anything worthwhile and great. So, what is the definition of focus? It is the ability to dedicate 100% of your attention to one singular task. And so, if you are not focused, you might be paying attention to multiple things. Otherwise known as ‘Distractions'. And quite frankly, we are all losing the ability to focus; we are all distracted. Simply put, we can't do anything more with multiple streams of input. I can already tell you have started checking your notification instead of reading through it with your full attention. And when you do sh*t like that without realizing it, you are brainwashing yourself.

Training your own mind to need overstimulation to function with distraction. So with a brain like that, how the f*uk, are you planning on staying focused?

Part 1.2: REWIRING YOUR BRAIN

Well, you can do one thing: just switch off your phone and leave it there for 24 hours. You will soon find out you are ‘addicted’ not to your phone but to the distraction. And if you continue to feed this addiction, none of the shit I say here will matter. You won't reach your goals. So to stop this addiction, you have to go through a 30-day protocol.

Each day of this protocol is split into 30 minute segments from 1:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., each hour are divided into 30 minute segments. Then, as you go about your 30 days, simply track what you did in each of those 30 minutes. By the end of it, you should have clear data on what pointless crap you do in your life.

E.g.,

pointless shit I do:

1) Video games 

2) Netflix 

3) Scroll to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube

4) Sleep in

5) Smoking

Then all that is left to do is remove that pointless sh*t. It sounds simple, and what have you really got to lose? Just try it out. I mean, really, what do you really have to lose?

Part 2: YOU ARE CONFUSED 

People must know what to do with their lives. This is because they don't know what you want. Because if you know what you want, you can know what to do, but if you only know there are things to be done and you are not confident about it, you are left confused. And this is the stage most people stay at their entire lives. They either never work on anything great because they don't know where to start from or work on the wrong thing at the wrong time their entire lives and have nothing to show for it but regret. And at this stage, I am talking about what is commonly referred to as the ‘Anti-Zone’. Most likely, that is where you are right now. At that stage in your life, you don't know what to do, but you have the desire to do something. But you don't know what or how to get there, so you don't do anything, and that's the ‘ANTI-ZONE’. And to get out of that stage, you need to do one simple thing: you need to enter ‘THE ZONE’.

Part 2.2: THE ZONE

Now, THE ZONE is the place, or, I should rather say, the mental state, that is highly recognized by your favorite athletes, artists or business owners consciously or subconsciously. According to the study back in 1989, it is 'the happiest place a human could be.' So, what is it? Well, most likely, you have experienced it before. It's that feeling you get when you are lost in something, like when you are playing video games or watching those addictive reels on the internet and can't stop scrolling. When you are so deep into the task at hand that the outside world doesn't seem to exist, imagine the feeling when you can experience it all the time. Locked In! Focused with zero distraction. Now that the spot we are aiming to be at is here, where there is no more confusion, just total focus on achieving your goals, and to get there, all you need to do is clearly define the ”something” part. First, where do you actually want to go? No bullshit; don't overcomplicate it, and think until you have your answers. And then, when you have your answers and have clearly defined them, simply figure out the steps to get them done. And as long as you take action on these steps every day, you will remain in your zone until you have reached your destination. Because, think about it, all this ‘zone’ really is a hyper-state of focus. Focus on one specific task, with steady progress being made each hour.

Part 3: DIET 

As humans, we operate inside a system, like when you wake up, go about your day, then go back to sleep, and repeat. Now this system has inputs and outputs. The inputs, like your food and sleep, have a direct effect on the outputs. If you sleep two hours at night, tomorrow you'll perform like sh*t. We all know this, so why do we ignore our diet? I am sure you have opened up a book before, read two lines, and later forgot about what you had just read. That's what happens with your diet's inputs and outputs, because when you eat like sh*t, you are going to think like sh*t. Well, if you think you can build anything great with a brain that thinks like sh*t, well, you know the answer.

So if you are looking to make a change in your life and get a better output, fix your inputs first. Because then you will be well and good at finding your goals and planning your steps to get there. But if you're in a vehicle that's broken, or you have bad inputs, no matter how hard you try, you are not going to get them, and I know it is easy to ignore, but just trust me, if you are struggling, but still trying to give good inputs, then great output will come 10 times easier. And not only that, you will have a clear and unf*cked brain.

Shogun (2024) : First Two Episodes Review *spoilers*

Having read the 1975 book and 1980 mini-series, I had high expectations for this and I wasn't disappointed. I love the costume designs, the visual effects, cinematography and attention to detail.

The one aspect which I feel could be improved is the dialogue and writing. Although most are accurate to the book, but some of it feels a bit rushed and could be lengthen to explain more in detail.

For example, the scene where Blackthorne, Father Alvito and Lord Toranaga are talking about Europe, I feel that the 1980 did it better as it's more detailed in explaining the political situation.

However, the 2024 Shogun did better than 1980 Shogun, where Blackthorne explains to Lord Toranaga and Lady Mariko about the Spanish and Portuguese Catholic Expansion into Asia, and wanting to replace the non-Catholic rulers with Catholics.

It provide a context as to why the Samurai hates "Christian" at the time, not simply because of bigotry alone but because of political reason as they see the Christian Lords as being loyal to the Spanish King who is expanding his reach in Asia, instead of the Shogun.

It's the same with the scenes with Rodriguez as the conversations between him and Blackthorne in the 1980 mini series were more longer and detailed, which are closer to the books. Their constant bickering with each other alone is interesting and funny to watch.

Another aspect which I think could be improve is the language. Although I understand the need to use vulgarities to show a sense of realism, I do not see the need to use modern day vulgarities like the word "f*ck" when they could have followed the book way of saying it.

Example of modern day vulgarity : "Shut the f*uk up!" Example of book vulgarity : "Hold your tongue or I'll cut it out!"

I understand that they want to show a woman who is vocal but again, this could be done without the use of modern day vulgarity like in the book, "Your God's Kingdom and your imagination are the same, they're both in your heads."

She managed to insult using nice words, something the ladies of the court are known to use as they are educated in literature. Because it was considered unbecoming of a high born lady to speak rudely so they use fancy words instead to indirectly attack a person.

But nonetheless, it is indeed a great show that I can't wait to watch the next episode. Of course, this is just my opinion as everyone have their own preferences. I guess I watched too many Japanese historical dramas to have such a high expectations.

If I were to rate it, I would give it a 9/10.

I think u need some perspective. A. It's normal for people to work remotely since 2020 especially if they're at the corporate level. Plus if her focus is on the Warhammer stuff it makes sense that she's always with Henry. B. Social media is an extension of a person not the whole person. Henry probably made a conscious choice not to post as much for whatever reasons. Also it's normal to post the person ur in a relationship with.

The reason you're so upset is because you put Henry on a pedestal in the first place. He isn't required to interact with fans on Instagram or post about his life, and demanding that he post what you want him to post is entitled. Daddy isn't punishing you (also so weird to call him that even if you were being sarcastic). For example a celebrity years ago stopped posting on social media and wasn't interacting with fans as much and his fans were being demanding and angry about it like you. Then it turned out his mother passed away and that was the reason he took a step back and it was quite disgusting that fans were demanding he post selfies and updates while he was going through that.

And C. You only know Henry through Instagram and magazine/tv interviews which are not on the fly. Usually famous people choose which questions they answer and practice what they will say to seem relatable and interesting. So basically even if Henry said he likes xyz, we don't really know if he's telling the truth, but people in his real life like his family and gf know him for real and she probably fits his type despite what he has said in the past to seem appealing to the masses. Also he might have said he wanted a lowkey relationship but as far as famous people go this is pretty low key, just look at taika waititi and Rita ora for comparison or any "power couple" constantly posting about each other. Also if Henry is in love which it seems like he is, it's natural for him to want to post his partner, that's a normal thing that people do. He's still posting about his projects in between so it just seems like to me even if he never posted her again you would still be unhappy.

Let's just say, the way my brain works, when I noticed a change in behavior I need to find a cause for it to understand it. He was a way with fans and since Miss Influencer showed up in the picture, he's been acting in a completely different manner. He's been avoiding us and doesn't even take the time anymore to post things like "Thank you for watching my show/movie, I truly appreciated it" like he used to. Why if I acted like a "good fan" (don't talk publicly about his personal life or pretend everything was ok) and don't comment or send nasty dms to her or anybody, am being punished because some fans do?

He's not forced to but when he acted a certain way for years and all the sudden he changed and didn't engage with social media anymore without explanation and, the only "explanation" is a "f*ck off" post he made calling out all fans when in reality it was just a loud minority the ones behaving "badly" (I put badly in quotation marks because some were actually nasty and others just questioned him for flying an American woman to the UK in the middle of a worldwide pandemic, showing how he abused his privilege as a celebrity), he should expect those fans who acted like he considered good, to question why are we being punished and blamed for other's actions, especially how in the past the same happened with his other girlfriends and he still was nice to all fans (not just the ones he sees live at events). Am I supposed to wait until he decides to come back to Argentina, if he ever does it, for him to show appreciation for supporting him? And, about your point of me being entitled for expecting him to act like he used to and the only reason I see why he wouldn't is that he's punishing us for fans not being in the Nathlee fans club, is that's an entitlement, well, go ahead an call me entitled. For all I care, you can call me the Entitled Karen of the fandom, idgaf.

About your point that something serious could be going on with his family; Charlie, and Heather act normal. His "girlfriend" is doing her influencing online so, if something serious happened, she doesn't give a single f*ck.

And point "C", I don't claim to know who he's really inside and in his personal life, I just loved his public persona before Miss Influencer showed up (admittedly ignoring some red flags like the fact that he dated someone much younger than him and he dated a woman that hunted animals as a sport because, at the end of the day, he made the right decision to call off those relationships) But now, his public persona is someone who doesn't engage with fans unless it's obligatory for press; he only posts ads, posters, and trailers (no thank you posts, I appreciate your support); we spend a f*cking year asking for a picture of Kal and he only posted when he could make it about Natalie and made a coordinated post, like if she was f*cking important.
