🍽: 가마솥 도시락 gamasot doshirak (Iron Pot Box Lunch) 🔙🍽: Same as above AND 쌈 김밥 ssam kimbap (Wrap Kimbap) -- Lunch with @itskozzzy!!❤️ It's been so long! We tried out this new place at the City Center Food Court. We both ordered the doshirak, which was basically kimchi fried rice with an egg and spam. We were supposed to shake it up in the box lunch with the lid closed but the container was pretty hot...😅 Plus too much effort. Haha It was pretty tasty but the best thing about lunch was the kimbap!!🤤 It was basically a pork belly roll with pork belly, lettuce, perilla leaf, cucumber, fried garlic, and jalapeño. It came with 쌈장 ssam jang (spicy sweet Korean dipping sauce - hmm, wonder if there's a better way to say it in English) on the side cuz well... it IS ssam. Sorta. In kimbap form.😋 I definitely need to come back to get this again. 🍽: 탕수육 >tangsuyuk (Sweet and sour crispy pork) -- This is the last dish we shared... It was also the biggest disappointment. lol We were looking forward to this too since we never eat it. The sauce was very weak sadly so when we ate it with the meat, the meat would completely overpower the sauce. The sauce wasn't that sweet and barely had any tanginess to it. It would be a tasty sauce to eat by itself (lol) but it was not good as a dipping sauce. So sad... 🍽: 물냉면 + 돼지갈비 콤보 >mul-naengmyeon + dwaejigalbi kombo (Cold noodles in chilled broth + pork short ribs combo) -- The other dish we shared was this one that I ordered. I felt like having naengmyeon for once so I went for it since it was cheap as a combo with the pork short ribs. The pork spare ribs were tender but overall they didn't taste that great. The naengmyeon was better but it could've been chilled more imo. 🍽: 오므라이스 >omeuraiseu (Omelet Rice) -- Lunch with my sister this past Sunday! Hehe My sister picked this but we shared all the dishes we ordered.😋 Thankfully, this wasn't as big as the display though. Lol Was pretty decent for omurice but I've definitely had better. 🍽: 불고기 bulgogi (Korean beef BBQ) 🔙🍽: 설렁탕 seolleongtang (Ox bone soup) -- Lunch with my adorable sister.😝 We managed to beat the lunch rush. Lol I just really wanted some white rice so I got bulgogi. I don't usually like bulgogi but this place had the nice thin slices of beef so that made me happy. 🍽: ざるそば zaru soba (cold soba noodles) 🔙🍽: 갈비 galbi (beef short ribs) set my friend ordered -- Wow, people weren't kidding when they said this place gives a lot of food for the price.😅 I was just expecting the usual amount of soba noodles with the dipping sauce and some grated radish... ended up getting 2x the amount of noodles, lots of grated radish and green onion (yeeee I like this), and tenpura! I was like 😧 when it came out. Lmao I barely put a dent in this but I guess I'll finish it tomorrow for dinner. This was always my go-to dish at any food court with my family when I was young and is still a favorite of mine when I'm feeling a bit sick of oily food.
