Isle of Man brooch

A bejewelled brooch in the shape of the Isle of Man has been sent to the Queen in celebration of her Platinum Jubilee.

The brooch features blue topaz, citrine, amethyst and emerald stones representing Ramsey, Peel, Castletown and Douglas in the Manx tartan colours.

Mr Cannan said the "unmistakably Manx" Infinity Isle of Man brooch, which was made on the island from audited recycled white gold by Element Isle, was a "token of our respect" for the British monarch.

Her father’s broach was one of Liko’s greatest treasures along with her pendant, but she thought the stories that he told were made up until she transformed for the first time. Needless to say, she was surprised, but she eventually came into her own.

Due to her connection with Terapagos, I went with both a star/space and jewel theme for her transformations.

Platinum Jubilee Gifts

Several organizations marked Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee by gifting her a piece of jewelry.

The Goldsmiths' Company - The brooch was made by David Marshall and features diamonds set in white gold and platinum. The design includes the floral emblems of the four nations of the United Kingdom (rose for England, shamrock for Northern Ireland, thistle for Scotland, and daffodil for Wales) plus lilies of the valley which where in the Queen's coronation bouquet.

Isle of Man - The brooch was made by Element Isle and features blue topaz, citrine, amethyst, and emerald set in recycled white and yellow gold. The gemstones represent the towns of Ramsey, Peel, Castletown, and the city of Douglas and the colors are the same as the Manx Tartan.

United Grand Lodge of England - The brooch was made by Yasmin & Jonathan Lambert and features diamonds set in platinum. The design is based off the badge of Navy Lodge No 2612.

Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Society - The brooch was made by David M Robinson and features diamonds and a large pearl set in platinum. The diamonds are arranged in the opening notes of God Save the Queen.

A bespoke brooch in the shape of the Isle of Man has been sent to Her Majesty The Queen in celebration of her #PlatinumJubilee

The ‘Infinity Isle of Man’ brooch design outlines the Island with four gems (Blue Topaz, Citrine, Amethyst and Emerald) representing the towns of Ramsey, Peel, Castletown and the city of Douglas. The colours of the stones were selected to represent Manx tartan.

"Harlequin" Jewellery

The name "harlequin" was often used to describe jewellery set with many different coloured gemstones. It's in reference to Harlequin, one of the "comic servant" characters from the Italian Commedia dell’Arte tradition who was introduced in the late 16th century and popularised by Tristano Martinelli, the "Master of Harlequins". Characterised by his brightly chequered costume, he usually served as a direct contrast, sometimes in competition, with the sterner and melancholic Pierrot. The role was that of an astute, nimble, and overly light-hearted servant who would often attempt to thwart the plans of his master while pursuing his own love interest, Columbina.

Stunning Victorian harlequin necklace, circa 1880 (above). It's fully strung with natural seed pearls and 19 individual gemstone drops including: blue sapphire cabochon, white sapphire, almandine garnet, chrysoprase, opal, hessonite garnet, turquoise, mabe pearl, emerald, ruby, and tourmaline (with some duplicates). Each of the gemstone settings features three seed pearl drops at the bottom as well as the collet-set central gem. Crafted in 9 karat gold with original barrel clasp and safety chain still present.

A gorgeous Georgian Harlequin Flower Brooch dating from the early 19th Century, circa 1800. The stones are foil backed, and display beautiful muted hues - they include: citrine, topaz, garnet, and a central rock crystal (with black dot culet). Modelled in 9 karat gold with cut down settings typical of the period.

This antique brooch is divine. It's modelled in 15k gold, intricately worked in the regency style, and set with a Harlequin rainbow of gemstones around a central shell cameo. I believe the piece depicts the nine Classical Muses: a Lyre for Epic Poetry (Calliope), Dance (Terpsichore), and Love Poetry (Erato); an Aulos (ancient form of flute) for Music (Euterpe); the Globe and Compass for Astronomy (Urania); the Theatre Mask for Comedy (Thalia) and Tragedy (Melpomene); and a Broken Column for History (Clio); and finally, the harlequin multi-coloured gemstones represents Agriculture (Polyhymnia) - as in a bountiful harvest.

       FASHION CREDITS: “HOUSE OF GUCCI” PART III

The “House of Gucci” movie really is the gift that keeps on giving. Before we continue with the third part of our very Italian fashion series, make sure to check out the first and second chapter!

Patrizia came back to Milan, wearing this vintage Genny by Gianni Versace Fall/Winter 1989 black & white plaid buttoned jacket and lace pencil skirt sourced from OOTO LONDON.

Behind her, we can spot the Gucci Sylvie 1969 black patent crocodile leather mini top handle bag with gold-tone chain detail that Aldo gifted her.

The very demure look was finished with these Manolo Blahnik Tomiris black suede double strap pumps with flared heel.

For the funeral, Patrizia wore this beautiful custom Dominic Young black checkered jacquard dress with bateau neckline and box pleats.

A fascinator moment is always welcome to a funeral, so she went for this Lawliet black felt pillbox hat with bow and pompoms-adorned fishnet veil.

While Gaga’s matching baroque pearl necklace and bracelet set was vintage, her small pearl stud earrings were, believe it or not, by H&M.

...a vintage Gucci black plissé satin purse...

...and Manolo Blahnik’s BB black suede stiletto pumps completed the look.

A second black look by Dominic Young follows up. This one features a tapestry jacquard print, box pleats and a tie neck! It was, again, paired with a bunch of Pikkio jewelry, Wolford tights and the aforementioned Manolo Blahnik pumps.

In the scene, laying on the table in front of her, was this vintage Gucci black leather flap bag with gold-tone hardware.

Patrizia finds Pina and gets her own tarot session while sporting a cropped version of this vintage Saint Laurent navy wool blazer adorned with large gold buttons its matching dress underneath. But it’s the accessories for me!

Firstly, she sported this Pikkio 1980s-inspired gold statement necklace...

...she paired with this graphic Boucheron Quatre Radiant Edition gold metal cuff bracelet!

LG also carried the Gucci Spring/Summer 2021 Jackie 1961 camel straw effect and blue leather medium shoulder bag with gold-tone hardware.

The look was completed with a pair of Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2014 blue patent pumps with bow embellishment.

In one of the deleted scenes, Patrizia is seen sporting this vintage Gucci turquoise suede short-sleeved blouson jacket with gold logo buttons. She matched it with a custom Dominic Young black leather pencil skirt with two faux pockets,...

In one of the most prominent scenes, Gaga is sporting this vintage Gucci monogram canvas tunic and matching pants set with brown leather trim and horseshoe chain details!

When newly entering the penthouse, Gaga had on these vintage Oliver Peoples oversized tortoiseshell sunglasses with brown lenses.

Next, she’s rocking vintage gold jewelry and Paula Rowan's Aida vintage-inspired leather gloves in the swatch "Forest Green".

Patrizia also carries her Gucci Jackie 1961 monogram canvas medium shoulder hobo bag with buckle closure and green & red Web stripe.

Next, Patrizia attended an early Versace fashion show where she shined in this Fall/Winter 1995 Oroton sleeveless gold metal mesh bodysuit and matching draped mini skirt!

All of her jewelry comes from Bvlgari's archive! Here, she's wearing the heritage earrings from 1989 featuring amethysts, emeralds, citrines and diamonds.

A stunning heritage collar from 1991 - how very period-appropriate - set with lovely sugarloaf cut colored stones including amethysts, citrines, pink tourmalines, emeralds, sapphires and diamonds.

This truly fabulous piece of Italian design and craftsmanship was once famously owned by Princess Yasmin Aga Khan!

Two Tubogas gold bracelets with amethysts, rutilated quartzes and diamonds adorned Gaga's wrists!

Translating to "gas pipe" in Italian, tubogas is one of the many chain-making techniques that define Italian jewellery design. Indeed, gold chains are an intrinsic part of Italian jewelry tradition, where numerous styles are now considered timeless.

Her metallic gold leather gloves are the Montserrat by Paula Rowan. The leather is dyed, treated and stitched in Italy by the world’s top producers of leather gloves using traditional methods perfected over generations.

1200 Followers release!! The Large brooch Pack!!

Hi everyone, first of all thank you so much for the 1200 followers 😍😍 I never thought to achieve this many!! Really thank you all from the heart!! I wanted to release something special on the 1000 followers, but since I didn’t notice until it was surpassed here goes a special Pack for all my dear friends!! 

This pack was a great idea and amazing suggestion from @sims4monarchist that called my attention on the lack/small amount of Brooches for our royal families.... from that moment the idea of a big pack has been under work for the last 2/3 days 😅
