la guarguera, or "the guarga valley" is a valley in northern aragon that sits in between the guara mountain chain and the pyrenees. the guarga river runs through it. the valley is around 200 km², and is one of the most depopulated places in all of aragon and europe. it has 30 villages (although almost half of them are abandoned) with a total of around 200 inhabitants, and many of the villages have 1 to 5 residents. one of the villages, aineto, was abandoned for a few years, but was populated once again after not too much time, and now 42 people live there. it is the biggest and most populated village in the entire valley. all of the towns in the guarguera belong to the municipality of samianigo.

the valley also has a school, which serves all the villages in the valley, amounting to probably around 10 to 20 kids aged 3-12.
