Well, Bruno for sure tops the list (this was him in the morning)

Friends & Family (I'm counting this as one, fuck it, we ball) :o)

Books (I've been meaning to shop for some old novels I've been curious about but I keep putting it off. Maybe this weekend. I also can't help myself from collecting notebooks and sketchbooks, esp if the pages are blank.)

Traditional Art supplies (I mostly work with pencil, colored pencil, markers, and ink. My collection is big but I've had art on the back burner for a bit since we got Bruno.)

Video games (mostly jrpgs or casual puzzle solving, I'm talking classics like Tetris or Bejeweled. Wish there were mobile versions of those games that weren't crammed with micro transactions. I've considered getting a Switch to play Tetris 99, but ah... pricey. Also, fighting games. I suck at them, but I love them uwu)

re. You're thinking of Fly By Night by Frances Hardinge. She's a very good author and her writing still holds up, if you want to revisit. I especially like her Face Like Glass and Cuckoo Song. I absolutely would have added Fly By Night but I temporarily forgot about it when I was adding books to that post.

Oh, wow, thank you! Lol, tbh, I was just reminiscing in the tags for a bit. I do remember finishing Fly By Night and enjoying it a lot so I might go back to it someday.

I feel bad for immunocompromised people in the pandemic. But there's never been a time where people changed their lives for a small part of the population. Most people did it cus they had to. I just never thought a majority of humans would go on streaming their faces forever. Disappointed not surprised.

Yeah, being immunocompromised in the US amidst a pandemic is a rough deal, to say the least. Personally, I think there's a lot our leadership could have implemented in their response to the pandemic to make public spaces less...I don't know, hostile (in terms of infection risk). There's a lot of problems with the US' response to Covid, one of them being the decision to treat a public health crisis like a matter of individual choice.

There's also the heavy minimizing/misinformation on the part of organizations like the CDC that makes it harder for the public to make informed decisions with regards to personal safety.

It's an extremely shitty situation, but I'm trying to stay hopeful about it. There's a lot of people acting like the pandemic is over, but there's also lots of people who still wear masks in public spaces, people challenging the misinformation, people researching the virus and ways to treat it and so on. I'm holding out for a medical breakthrough but in the meantime I'll be keeping a mask on when I go out.

Oh no, you're good, lol! Ive been holding off on this series for years. meant to watch it ever since I found out about Lucy Liu's casting as Watson. Your posts actually helped me make that leap.

^_^" Tbh, I actually spoiled myself on some of the major plot points by reading fanfiction before starting the show but I couldn't help myself. So far, it hasn't hampered my enjoyment (I tend to be p chill with spoilers). It is quickly becoming one of my favorite series (and a personal fave among the Sherlock Holmes adaptations).

Now, I would like to clarify - IIRC, the op of the TikTok video I referred to mostly did freelance work for spop. Might be wrong but even so, take that for what you will.

I tried finding the link to the exact video. Not sure if it got taken down or if I have to sign up to find it (I’m not active on TikTok). That said, I did post this screenshot on my blog before.

In any case, I’ll link the two videos that I found interesting in relation to the writing process for animated TV shows (also from the same person). I think the one the screenshot came from is among one of these two. Hope that helps!
