@missysrehabilitation // con't
"Oooh," Missy let out a low, long whistle and rocked back on her heels as she clasped her hands behind her back and surveyed the body as though she was surveying a gardening patch. "Still got it in you then, Miss Goody two shoes." She looked again at the body and then back at the other Time Lady. It was messy and looked as though it had been done in a rush. She looked closely at the Time Lady in front in her and leaned in closely. "Why did you have to kill him?"
"..." the Lumiat crouched down in front of the corpse, sticking a finger in one of his wounds, which she licked clean. After some moments, she said, "he knew too much. Wandered into my TARDIS before I realized he was there--found things he shouldn't have, things I--I don't like to think about."
She lifted her gaze to meet Missy's.
"He found my loom--I'd forgotten about it. Seems foolish, having it after all these years..." she chuckled.
"How about we move to the city? More people, more witnesses?"

"I've found my patience wears thin in my old age, sister," the Lumiat replied, exhaustion plain on her face.
"Now, stay still," she ordered, taking a wet cloth and gently cleaning Missy's wounds. "And next time, let me do the talking!"

The Lumiat shed her own tears as Missy cried against her, psychically nudging comfort in her direction. Her hearts ached at seeing her sister so distressed and she knew, no matter how hard she tried, it would never be enough.
She stepped back, wrapped her arms around herself, and smiled sadly. "I just thought you'd like the company."

"Master of the universe, I am!" the Lumiat exclaims. She's had four bottles of ginger-laced wine, with no signs of stopping anytime soon.

“Is there something you’d like to tell me, sister?” the Lumiat smirked and draped an arm around Missy. Back in that body, she had experienced the nausea and stomachaches and cramps and if her guesses were right, she’d arrived just at the start.
“And remember---you can’t lie to me, because I remember it---well, most of it. Some bits are still a bit spotty, but I’ve put that down to mucking around in my own timeline so much.”

The Lumiat lay passed out in the grass, surrounded by an empty case of ginger beer and absolutely covered in a variety of paints---some pink, some blue, and some that looked suspiciously like Gallifreyan blood.

The Lumiat knelt over one of her younger selves, the one who’d caused so much destruction during the Time War, and swung at him with one bloodied and bruising fist, striking him over and over again. Part of her felt his pain. Perhaps more so than if she were hitting any other version of herself, because he was everything she was actively striving not to be, and because he seemed to be enjoying himself.

“----there’s no one by that name here,” the Lumiat stared just past them, struggling to remember just where she’d seen them before---and how they knew Missy.

“You’re the fifth person to call me ‘Doctor’ today,” the Lumiat says. She lifts her glass in a toast before downing it, the liquor burning as it tracks down her throat.

Missy lounges on an armchair in a pub, sleeping off the seven ginger beers she’d had, while the Lumiat sits in the chair next to hers, rubbing at her temple to assuage her blooming migraine.
“I can feel her migraine... dunno why she does that to us...”

She liked him. Truly, she did. With his wild curls and bright eyes and broad grin. His jokes, and how they could cheer her up whenever her thoughts wandered and darkened...
She shut her eyes, curling her shaking hands into weak fists. How did humans have so much blood, and why did it hurt them so to lose so much?
Her companion’s body stilled on the ground beneath her, his blood staining the ground and her clothes and her skin, and oh, for a moment she felt.... she felt...
“...” she opened her mouth, letting out a strangled cry.
