sigh that fight should have been so perfect for me. only one spellcaster and they’re not even invisible and i was SO high in initiative and i knew about the threat before it came and YET. AND YET.
#love crop love to have exciting things happen but god i'm so frustrated with myself#oh to have just! cast detect magic the second i was suspicious of one of the guards!#truly don't know why i DIDN'T#oh to have just subtle spelled my counter!#oh to have just upcast guiding bolt and used favored by the gods instead of trying to hold again!#oh for the dice to have decided to like me!#it's Fine it's FINE i'm simply choosing to believe that that second spell was blight and would have killed one of us so i Did Do Something#cerise is BUILT to fight spellcasters AND YET. all these abilities i have and FOR WHAT#i just. every single fight she's ever been in has been SO bad for her#which is cool and makes sense!!!! she's not a soldier! she doesn't know how to handle combat!#one of these days she'll have the battle where she's good and it'll be satisfying! however!#until then! she thinks her magic is the one thing she's got and she. keeps failing.#it would have been SO good if i'd have saved everyone in that room's lives. it would have been SO good#would have flipped the whole dynamic on its head! they would have owed HER instead of her owing THEM#they would have trusted her maybe!!!!!! and instead i just! hhhhhhHHHHHHHHHH!#every day! every day cerise can't stop bad things from happening right in front of her despite giving it all she's got.#and despite being So Close Every Time#she has. two first levels and no sorcery points and would be so low on health if it wasn't for sico#so! now it's just time to go into 'taking care of someone who has it worse' mode#almost getting killed by fire for the second time in two days. this SUCKS.#cha:cerise#c:crop#gonna go play my shitty sorority girl now i GUESS
