With that said, Ichigo turned to start leaving, then looked back at Toshiro for one last thing to say. “And by the way, I don’t think it’s a waste of time checking up on you while I’m passing by, Toshiro.”

"Huh?" Ichigo caught the treat that he offered, the guy was blunt as ever. But he could tell that he was at least trying, and got some info out of him too.

It wasn't like Toshiro didn't appreciate it, he just preferred something better, so that was fair. At least now Ichigo knew what to get him next time, though he would keep the 'like a grumpy old man' comment to himself once Toshiro mentioned tea.
